Substantial but heavy The app has a lot of useful info, but requires a lot of MB downloading. I wish the developers would make a smaller version, like WhatBird for just sound-ID. And in more languages. I downloaded the pack for Scandinavia, which was 50 MB.. Helle Aasand Versjon: 2.1

Kristian Love Merlin Bird ID and I use it almost everyday, but I’d suggest adding a delete function in the «Life List» tab. I am desperate! 😅 Would also be cool to add friends as well. And then maybe if you could view their birds too.. Kribal05 Versjon: 3.7.1

If you have this problem, i have the solution. I haven’t used this app in a very long time so you can imagine my frustration when i couldn’t play bird sounds or read the little paragraphs about them. For example if i click on a common gull there would normally be information about the gull and some different voice notes, but now all i see is the rarity and a white blank screen. And unbeknownst to me this wasn’t some new change to the app. I just had to update my installations!. Hibblers1 Versjon: 3.5

I love this app! You need some storage space as you need to download local area bird packs, but once installed, the bird ID function is very powerful. I haven’t yet used the photo ID feature. I mostly use this app offline whilst working as a naturalist to share details and images of encountered species with guests. I love the sounds that are included. This app has performed well in Norway, Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland and Canada.. Eksplå Versjon: 1.5

Best birding companion This is a great app that *almost* replaces carrying a heavy guide around. It’s probably the best an app could ever do to replace a bird book—especially the sound recording and identification feature which is unparalleled. Litt få lyd-identifiseringar Eg har lasta ned skandinavisk og europeisk tilleggspakke, og får appen til å identifisera nokon haukefuglar, med lydopptak. Men kanskje 80 % av lydopptaka eg gjer av fuglelydar frå Vestlandet, gir ingen treff eller forslag. Det hadde vel vert betre om appen foreslo ein fuggel og så at det var usikker identifisering?. Only the most common birds This app only identifies the most common birds, like sparrows and finches. Tried it in Asia and it couldn’t even recognize the most common and annoying night singers with no background noise.. Haraldkris Version: 3.0.5
