Could not imagine learning on just paper!I absolutely love Gizmo! I’m an AP student and it seriously helps me with the conceptual side of AP Chem. The AI tutor guides you step by step through any concept just like with Feynmann technique. I specifically love how Gizmo has active recall studying, which is proven to help you retain information way better than notes or re-reading powerpoints. It is also extremely easy to upload any class notes, ppts, or documente and have Gizmo create a deck for you. Absolute must for any AP Chem student!.Mllestone811Version: 1.2.0

Really good!I got this app as I am a stem major in college and figured it would help especially during finals. I eventually decided to pay for the full app because you only get so many imports and like I said I am a stem major so I need to import graphs and experiments. The AI works amazingly and I haven’t had any issues with anything being saved. Ex) I was writing down notes from my phone to computer onto the app and my computer completely shut off, but when it came back on the notes I wrote (and didn’t save) we’re still there ready to be submitted. The only thing that the devs probably didn’t think about is you earn coins through xp when completing lessons. When you are using the app free, you can use these coins to get more hints or hearts. When you pay for the full app you get infinite hearts and hints so coins just build up. So it would be cool if you added fun customization that we can add to our profile..Coolj937858363Version: 1.2.1

Okayy…..Okay, so the app is fine, but it could use some help. I’ve been using the app to study and it’s just recently stoped functioning. What I mean by that is that when I import the cards by taking a photo of them, it just won’t load, and not this isn’t an internet problem. A thing I also dislike is that you only get ten chances (ten hearts) and if you lose all of them you simply just can’t continue unless you have a subscription. The point of learning is to get something wrong no matter if you get everything wrong. You focus of the things you fail on and improve. That is learning, not stressing if you lose all then hearts. However I do understand that the creators need income and stuff like that, but I do think they could resolve this problem and make better out of it. Gizmo: AI versus interfaceOverall, I love this app. The AI puts everything into simplified steps that allow people to properly learn anything from psych to how to change a light bulb to calc. However, the user interface is decently annoying to use, as you can’t even go back when writing a prompt and have to delete the text until you get to your mistake. I feel like they spent so much time into making the AI the perfect learning tool that they forgot it has to be in an app as well. Small issues with the UI, but the actual learning AI is very good. HEAVEN SENT!!I have always struggled with understanding what I am learning, i am starting to take school more seriously because of my program and came across this app. My grades went from a 65 to a 93 and it’s really all due to this app. It helps you understand what you’re learning and makes sure you understand the topic. Great APP but DEVs, PLS DO BETTER.I really enjoy the ai tutors and the quizzes. HOWEVER, it never keeps track of lessons I already did so I can never go back and check it. The BEST app for studyingThis app is fr so much better and versatile than quizlet, it has different forms of questions whereas quizlet only has the term/definition form of questions. I do have some recommendations for the devs tho, I think you should add a ding sound when we get the right answer like quizlet does, this makes it more engaging, less boring and helps us focus better. Uploading problemI would have given it a 5 stars if they would fix the magic uploading problem. It was perfectly fine the very first time I used it uploading 144 pictures and after that, every single time before I was finished taking pictures, it was just kick me out and I’d have to start again. Sometimes I’d just upload like 8 pictures and take one picture, press submit, and then it kicks me out. Other times, it would say like “There’s a problem with uploading” with red letters and whatnot and I can’t even submit these photos!! It just loads and the submit button is basically broken. Please fix this because I’ve wasted so much time trying to upload these pictures and since I can only upload 2 times a day for free, I can’t just upload and submit like 5 pictures each time. If you need an engaging/ effective way to study!!I wasn’t prompted to write this! I never ever write reviews. Sometimes I’m skeptical of reviews. But I think all students should use this app. honestly, I’m a student who will sit there and REWRITES lecture slides and notes, hundreds of slides. I’ve wasted insane amounts of time, just to never look at my notes again. With this method I find I loose out on time for actually STUDYING and practicing the material with spaced repetition. This app, lets me rewrite my notes, but then engage with them as much as I want. It formulates questions for you in different ways too, rearranging the key words it quizzes you on. Sometimes it gets you to type the answer, or guess the answer by multiple choice, or it’ll show you the back of the card first and have you guess the front. You can upload pictures into your cards and so on. YOU CAN ALSO JUST UPLOAD YOUR LECTURE SLIDES OR POWERPOINTS INTO THE APP AND IT AUTOMATICALLY GENERATES QUESTIONS FOR YOU!! I sit on the bus and I’m able to use that “wasted time” commuting, by actually just forcing myself to go through a deck of cards because it’s so accessible. I have gizmo linked on my computer and phone,…and honestly I could just go on… because I’m personally excited that I’ve found a new way to study. You guys should try this. Potential to be better. It’s meh.The app is really glitchy. When trying to type my Q cards sometimes it will severely lag, or just stop typing all together to the point where I have to close and reopen the app. I wouldn’t recommend using your voice to text to help either, as it would just take the first word I would say and paste it over and over again. On top of that if I try to delete those words too quick it will also freeze my app. I hate the fact that if I get questions wrong I have to wait 10 mins to study. That’s a really off putting feature that just makes me want to put it down and not pick it back up. Sometimes when I try to quiz a section of cards for example math, randomly science q cards will start being asked. It takes FOREVER to upload a picture to the card, and if you hit enter before it’s fully loaded The image will be uploaded to the new blank card and not the one you’ve just created. Update made the app impracticalThe UI is nicer but I can no longer use my keyboard (i.e. 1,2,3,4 keys) to answer questions. The process of making flash cards is also more tedious as you can’t add multiple flash cards at once anymore. You have to click add a flash card, write it out, click save, and then click add flash card again. Magic import takes forever now. Fix your appI used to use gizmo a lot until a new update rolled around and completely messed up the way I make flashcards on the app. Trying to highlight anything is impossible as it automatically reverts the changes you make onto any word you highlight. Really bad hearts systemThe active recall option is quite helpful but unfortunately the way it generates and checks your answers for active recall is really inconsistent. I find that sometimes I am typing my answer and it takes the first couple letters I type as the answer before letting me finish. This causes me to lose hearts and I will have to wait 10 minutes to use it again. Super laggyIf you’re not taking you classes in english, it’ll make u flash cards in english which often dont have the right vocabulary. When you ask it something, it has a set amount of questions it has to ask and sometimes they just make it take longer to answer for no reason. It also gets super laggy sometimes for no apparent reason and don’t even get me started on how it looses your work. Cool in theory but not well developedThought I would really enjoy the app when I first downloaded it. However, it is far too glitchy on both the ios app and the web versions. Importing from goodnotes or anki never works quite right and special characters will be riddled in all of the cards. If I try to edit the cards, they only end up saving about 1 every 10 attempts. In addition, the ai generated highlighting of quizzable words is sometime beneficial, but if I try to change any of the highlighted items, it once again NEVER saves. I went through an entire deck of about 400 cards attempting to change all the highlighting, but when I refreshed, not a single one saved. Multi-select to delete cards also never works and you will just get re-loaded the same 10 cards. Overall, I spent more time trying to edit the cards than if I were to just write them out on paper. You will also get SPAMMED with emails after downloading for feedback, and if you do provide feedback you get talked to by “Paul” as if you’re incompetent and its not the apps fault its glitchy.
