Mainly the section LIVE, it’s very interesting to know about diverse questions.
What’s the point of having to click two times to listen to the radio when you can do it in just one click? I know it’s not such a big deal, but it’s because of this kind of little things when something goes from good to WOW😄
Useful
Laughing with your Brexit mess, or just caos! It’s hard to me to understand that isolation (even Trump says to leave you economicaly alone) can help the Kingdom to improve life standards. Brexiters look as simply snobs with their future guaranted by family titles. To cheat the populace with those millions pounds, the EU Thatcher check, to save public education was miserable! British cynisism? Indeed (Nigel Farage, clown). Now, Brexit is Brexit! No deal-Brexit!! And please, cease the stupid deadlines, you look like naughty kids!!

Keep it up Thanks
Reseñas y Valoraciones Negativas de BBC: World News & Stories
This is now a browser. Irritating as hell to keep dealing with cookie prompts. Ugly colours too. Not going to use this app anymore until its back to being an app. Not browser…
I love British ambassadors, especially on Spain.
The problem is the journalists of BBC who work in Spain feel in love with the more radical secessionist. Please send them to Edinburg where sure they will enjoy in this matter.
Last version do not let me to select words and then translate them. This option was useful for me to learn english.
1 The most popular section is gone, 2 The interface is now like an embedded browser, worst experience ever For 3 A huge login interface pops up every time you open the app after closing it, saying it is annoying is to put it mildly Conclusion: 1 star is being kind
About once a day it can’t load content saying I’m not connected to a network. I am. Very strange for a major publisher to have such a terrible backend experience.
This used to be a great news app. Now it’s terrible. Not all development is improvement.
After upgrading it on 5 may 24, I cannot mark a word and search it in the dictionary. I’m Very dissapointed!!
The once great "Most Read" section is gone, and the whole app is a mess in general. There’s also a nag to log in every time you open the app. Bye.
The new App is ugly, more difficult to read, user unfriendly. Why changing something that was perfect???
The red theme has dissapeared, but most importantly, the notification sound was the BBC News tune, now it’s another random, pointless noise in the every day notification world. An app that now has nothing special.
The only reason I used this app was for the succinct “most read” section. Now that is gone and we have some dodgy web view of their main website. I’ll never understand how this got through UX testing.
Regarding the latest version what happened to swipe left - previous article or home page - and right - next article - to navigate smoothly ? Now you have to scroll back up to see and actually click on the "back" arrow. For the rest the app is still as useful (I don't actually see the difference with the previous version)
I can’t select the topics that i like as i used to
I have been forced to download the latest version which does not allow me to select the topics on my feed as before, and seems to have fewer news in general. Reporting is poorer every year, with many pieces where journalists write on what is happening in tweeter or other networks rather than doing actual reporting on the ground. It has always been one the best sources of information and we are letting it die little by little. We will suffocate with it. best wishes, C.
When opening the app, the news is not automatically refreshed like it did in previous versions. In fact, even restarting the app the main page still shows old news. Another app that updated itself and no longer works…
Like the news part of it. But for UX/UI It’s very annoying that when you tap the home button the news feed doesn’t scroll back up to the top.
Bbc has removed tha ability to personalise your news feed. The app now has no point.
Why change a good app to something that is not user friendly.. I tried really.. I can’t see my news, can’t chose topics.. i like to chose what i read.. So i un installed.. hopefully the designers rethink their bad choice and give us more options like before..
The new app is awful. I can’t choose topics relevant to me anymore. I somehow have a Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales section, but no England section (where I’m from). It’s awful to navigate and I don’t understand why they went from a great app to a terrible app… I only gave 2 stars because it decent journalism when I can find things, otherwise it would be 1.
With the latest update I will abandon this app. Basic faults include having to restart to update news feeds, inability to personalise news interests easily, and always leading with the current BBC live feed that is a hopelessly abbreviated news source for those with the attention span of a gnat. Bye bye BBC news app. I will stick with the World Service global news update from now on.
From being one of the best news apps, it is now one of the worst. No longer able to personalise the news feeds. Sterile look. A huge step backwards!
This new update has simplified the interface so that the app does not update when it is opened. The opening screen is the last article read. To read the news, we have to scroll and manually refresh. Hardly the expected behaviour of a ‘news’ app.
The news is decent, UK establishment biased but decent. The app looks nicer than it did but it’s less usable with every major update. Now there is no personalisation Navigation has disappeared No swipe between stories Still missing from a few years ago - click image from an article and you could swipe through any image in that article with zoom functionality. Typography is better - look and feel are improved but why at the expense of so much functionality? First reaction? Bin.
With the latest release the BBC News app has become unusable. For years it was possible to select what you wanted to be informed on, but now you can’t find categories of interest, only what the BBC want to push. Such a shame
The recent update (October 2023) has removed the ability to tailor the topics covered. I am now told what is the important news I should read about rather than deciding this for myself. Some topics are simply not there at all; where is coverage of cycling or snooker for example? Very poor show BBC, very poor.
I had the content I wanted to read adjusted in my preferences. Now I have to browse between all the content they want me to read to find something interesting to me. Long time BBC reader, but the web page is just much better than this app. Uninstalling now.
No chance now to set up preferences. Much less sections than before. Much more focus on local (ie UK) info now hampering the international audience reach. Regardless the slightly better look, the info that the app offers now is much lesser than before. A disappointment. Sorry!
All the relevant section removed and only get what they want - completely ruined. App to be removed
I am very disappointed in the new format of this app. I can’t find the news I’m interested in, the page is harder navigate and my topics have disappeared. I can’t see how it has any advantages.
No English news!
Destroyed the app with removal of this section. No way of tailoring the news we see.
Why o why did you change the app? I have yet to see any improvement. What happens to my personalised news feed?
The latest version of the BBC News app is awful. They’ve removed the ‘My News’ feature, so now you have to scroll and scroll through the sections to find what you want to read, whereas before you could personalize it to appear first. Very annoying update, IMO.
I am very disappointed with latest update, I think the layout is poor with no flow and the removal of the My News section has taken away the personalised feel to the app. The end result will be that I use it less.
The new version is atrocious. No way to edit what news you see as before. Not worth bothering with
It’s crap
I’ve been keeping tabs on current affairs and lately I have been very disappointed on long running situations where the BBC journalists are trying to change history by constantly repeating bad information. I am now using Aljazira
An absurdly biased newspaper, that unfortunately only tells a one sided story, of pretty much any global conflict. Obviously a very pro Western propoganda. Don’t forget your values BBC, you used to report the truth, not just want people want to hear.
Each and every time I open this app I’m asked to accept cookies and agree stuff. Sometimes even just jumping from one report to another. I just accepted five notices in three minutes. Is this an app or just a rebadged browser with memory issues? For this I’ll prefer to go directly to the web in Safari. At least Safari remembers my options. Good content stained by bad programming.
It’s disappointing to see that many ads now are coming through on the app and sometimes it’s impossible to read the news reports.
