Barometer Plus app measures air pressure and altitude using your device's built-in barometric pressure sensor.
Because air pressure changes usually indicate a weather change, you can use this app to monitor and predict short-term weather variations.
People suffering from migraine, headaches, or joint pain can monitor how barometric pressure impacts their mood.
Fishermen can monitor the atmospheric pressure for right-time fishing.

FEATURES:
• The app contains a barometer and altimeter with a personalization graphic in classic analog style. It also displays the current temperature and humidity.
• Display barometric pressure (sensor value) or mean sea level pressure (MSLP - value used in weather forecast services or stations).
• Units support for pressure: mb, inHg, kPa, atm, Torr, psi, hPa, mmHg. Units for altitude: meter, feet.
• Calibrate the barometer using altitude/location from the GPS. Calibrate the altimeter using the nearest airport information/METAR, or manually enter the QNH of the nearest airport. Offset sensor output value.
• Measure the height (building/mountain/hiked/climbed) using the "Relative Altitude" feature (can be enabled in the app's Settings).
• Notification about pressure change. "Notification custom rule" for you to define how and when the app sends notifications.
Notify when air pressure changes indicate that extreme or worse weather may occur.
• "Pressure Tracking" and "History Graph" require "Background App Refresh" or "Always Location Service" with "Exact update interval" (paid feature) enabled.
• "My Area" allows you to define your frequent stay places, and the app tracks air pressure with location data.
• Export history to CSV format and Today widget (paid features).
• This app is the digital version compared with an aneroid or mercury barometer and can be adjusted to MSLP with additional features.

CUSTOMIZABLE:
You can change your barometer/altimeter appearance with:
• Seven different housing colors.
• Black, white or blue disk background.
• Four different app backgrounds.
• Three different types of needles.
• Marker needle for easily monitor.
• Dark or light Today widget theme.

NOTES:
• App only works on devices with a barometer sensor, such as iPhone 6/6s/7/8/X/11/12/13 (including Plus models), iPad Mini 4/Air 2/Pro, or later.
• Weather icons on the dial: This only shows the air pressure trend like in an analog barometer.
• Each time your device reboots, open the app for tracking with the "Exact update interval" feature work.
• You may take the phone/tablet far away from computers, cables, and other magnetic sources to get accurate results.

Barometer Plus - Altimeter App Comments & Reviews

Barometer Plus - Altimeter Positive Reviews

Why do I see ads now?I just upgraded my iPhone from an X to a new 15. When I open Barometer Plus on my new iPhone I see ads, I do not see ads on my X when looking side by side. Thoughts?.Version: 3.6.7

But this appI made a bad review, stating that app didn’t work. It was MY fault. I was using an app that cleared out the history each time it ran. To the developer, I am sorry for my previous review. BUY THIS APP!.Version: 3.6.8

Iphone 13 plus maxFor any one who knows how to use this and knows what is and how it was put together to be flexible, convenient and Howard looking, it's a diamond in the rough . Just rt, and what we need. Thanks goodness 👌🏽🙏🏼.Version: 3.6.7

BasicBarometric pressure with some other data. If that’s what you need, it does the job..Version: 3.6.7

History GraphThe history graph records the wrong readings when the barometer is not on completely open to the front of the list of things you have open. Other then that I truly love the app..Version: 3.6.7

BarometerLove the app I just wish it would show if the pressure is going to be going up or down.Version: 3.6.7

It stops trackingNormally its fine, but it randomly stops tracking. For some reason it has nothing recorded all this week. What a pain, in the midst of national arctic snowstorms!.Version: 3.6.9

AccurateLike it, difference is minimal compared Apple weather.Version: 3.6.7

OptionsOptions Needs more options with out upgrades..Version: 3.6.8

AwesomeEasy to use and very concise. I can’t recommend it enough!.Version: 3.6.7

ReviewDecent app ..Version: 3.6.8

Excellent app, despite poor documentationIt has ads. It's difficult to understand some of the features... But it does exactly what it needs to do. Nothing fancy or distracting, Well done. PS. I really REALLY wish I could contact someone to clarify some features:.Version: 3.6.7

SatisfyingUsing the pressures for fish feeding times so far working as aspected..Version: 3.6.7

So. Many. Ads.The ads eat up your data and your time..Version: 3.6.8

Apple 12Works great.Version: 3.6.7

SuggestionA lot of people claim that their joints ache or levels of chronic pain and fatigue are affected by barometric pressure. So, I got this ap to start keeping track. It works fine, I guess, I know nothing about barometric pressure. I sure would like to see this or a new ap include a way of tracking pain levels w barometric changes. I’m currently using a note pad on my phon to keep records of barometer readings and pain, which works fine, but thinking it might be really great to have an ap that tells me when I might expect to feel like crap, or to at least remind me that the reason I am waking up, feeling like crap is due to atmospheric changes and not because I’m falling apart..Version: 2.0.9

AWESOME!!!I use it for Turkey hunting!!!.Version: 3.6.7

Good intentionsThis app seems to work well enough for what it does. As previously stated, it seems to be a bit off, but your iPhone isn’t a barometer, so as long as you have the offset corrections set it’s good enough. My problem lies in the background app refresh. What I really want to see from this app is the graph of past barometer data so I can track migraines. Unfortunately, for this to work, I have a flashing blue bar across the top of my phone screen constantly that says “Barometer Plus is Actively Using Your Location”, even though it should only be updating every hour. The flashing blue bar is enough to make me close the app, rendering the pressure history useless. The developer response solution is not an option as “never” and “while using the app” are the only options regarding location.Version: 2.1.0

Get to know itAs a professional avalanche forecaster snd fly fishing guide, I’m constantly watching the weather. I got this app as a quick reference to monitor pressure trends. After learning about all it can do, I’ve discovered it’s a powerful app. Exporting pressure data into spreadsheets and graphing is super helpful. It’s easy to read and looks great on the iPad. I’d recommend studying up barometric pressure then revisit this app and take some time to get to know it. As far as accuracy, I’ve compared it with actual NWS surface pressure charts along with other instruments. When set properly, it’s as accurate as any other instruments I check and use, including my pocket altimeter. Great app!.Version: 2.1.1

Data export to CSV could be easier to manipulateTwo issues could be improved. 1. Time and date could be separated by commas for easier manipulation in Excel. Ordering first to last would also be nice. 2. If you turn off acquisition (by closing the app) for a while then on resumption, the built in chart continues in even steps without a any gap or large step and does not strictly plot against an X-axis of time. Once imported to Excel, the difference is clear..Version: 3.0.4

LOVE this app!I’ve been looking for a reliable barometer where I could track the changes. All other weather apps I have only gave me the pressure for that one moment, and I certainly do not have time to chart all the changes. For people who get pressure related migraines or other types of headaches due to pressure changes, having this information readily available from the graph is extremely helpful! Now I can track when the headaches occur, and will be able to help predict and prevent them in the future. Thank you to the developer for this well thought-out wonderful app!.Version: 2.1.0

Testing this outThe past couple weeks in my area we’ve had major changes in the weather with a couple tornado warnings here and there, & maybe it’s just a coincidence, but each time there was a tornado warning I would experience severe dizziness and shaking followed by a major head and body ache, so I’m using this app to track the barometric pressure & trying to see if when it hits a certain low, if that’s when I get my “episodes” for lack of a better term. Hoping to figure my condition out a little bit with this app..Version: 3.0.5

Barometer performanceLast week I suddenly got fed up about not seeing the actual barometric gauge that I remember from my youth. This one serves my purposes perfectly. I just wanted the facts. Nothing fancy. After reading the other reviewers comments about headaches, arthritis, etc. I became enlightened with the value of having a barometer in your life. So glad I found this entertaining app that gives me “just the facts”..Version: 3.0.4

It's OKNice graphic when you first open it, but it oversimplifies the concept of barometric pressure's impact on weather. Whether it's raining or not has more to do with the trend rather than the actual barometric pressure value. Just because barometric pressure is low doesn't mean it is raining. The timeframe options for the graphics are silly because they only change how far back you can look at barometric pressure data. The graphs should compress the data selected into the same size graphic, one that fits on the screen..Version: 2.0.6

Very important app!!I have an illness that gets worse with barometric changes. When it gets low, it gets really bad. Flying is hard because of the low cabin pressure. I able to watch it and prepare for the drops. I used it on the plane and it showed what I was feeling. It totally verified what I’ve been saying for years. I’m sharing this app with friends who suffer from my illness. All I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU!!.Version: 2.1.0

Using for Tracking Arthritic PainMy mom has severe arthritis and I downloaded this app to try to get a handle on her pain fluctuations. One thing I really like about this app is that readings are shown on a scale from high to low pressure. I don’t know anything about reading barometric pressure so this scale is really informative ( highs and lows). I’ve used other apps before and I like this one much better because it gives you some context..Version: 2.1.1

Works ok, but better apps available to track barometric pressure for headaches, etc. There are better apps track barometric pressure for headaches, etc. this tracks current relative barometric pressure, whereas apps like WeatherX track upcoming changes in pressure. If you want to track when you need to prepare for a shift, download something like WeatherX. If you want to track current pressure, this app is sufficient. I also note that the two apps do not show the same pressure. Hard to know which is more accurate..Version: 3.0.4

So helpfulI get migraines due to the pressure changes. I have confirmed this with this app and another that I use to log them. Now I have data to take to the doctor - I am not crazy! What a relief. Lol. I paid for the full features today so I can save the data etc to show him! I definitely would recommend this app..Version: 3.0.5

Pain ForecastWith 2 forms of arthritis and roving pain I started noticing the pain level changes with the weather...i finally figured out it’s tied to the barometric pressure. 30+ seems to be the point of less pain…while the farther below 30 it gets the greater the pain. This app has let me track my pain levels to help me with pain management..Version: 3.0.6

Only for pilotsIf you just want a Barometer, this is not for you. The user interface wastes space on altitude, which is a visual that never changes and remains constant if you don't go up in airplanes. The user interface is meh. In particular, the history graph is pretty much unreadable - filling the slow change of barometric pressure underneath the graph with blue makes what could be seen easily if it were just a line, hard to read..Version: 3.0.5

Works fineThe barometer plus is consistently accurate with my field barometer and relatively accurate with altitude. This barometer app is just that, a barometer on your phone, so don’t go overly scientific in its application. For serious mountaineering a dedicated barometer/altimeter is the safest option, however, the barometer plus app does the job especially offline..Version: 2.1.1

TornadosI’ve noticed on the app it shows symbols like storm clouds etc... but the most important that it doesn’t have is a symbol of a tornado!!! Most people don’t understand on how to read the pressure drops so I think it is a great app but to help people to understand that they are in immediate Danger of a Tornado then a Tornado Symbol needs to be added accordingly at the right pressure number indicator......Version: 3.0.4

Gives me a heads up as pain levels increaseI love the app. It helps be aware when barometric pressure will affect my “remanufactured” joints.” Please considered a custom tone to go with notifications, also choice of a longer notification — maybe six or eight hours. Great work..Version: 3.1.2

UsefulThis is a useful app. I use it to track my asthma and blood pressure. I like the Graph that you have but I would like to see you change this to where it’s more of a line graph and not all filled in at the bottom so that it can be printed and not waste lotta ink. I would like to print it and hand it to my doctor on a monthly basis along with my blood pressure readings that would be my suggestion for improving it..Version: 3.0.4

Helps me manage my vertigo! The barometer plus helps me to track barometric pressure changes to prepare for possible bad vertigo days with adjusting medications and diet restrictions. The only thing I would change is making the dates at the bottom the little bigger to make them readable without my reader glasses!.Version: 3.0.4

Helpful with healthI am super sensitive to changes in pressure. This really helps me track why my breathing and mood are off in the mountains. I like how it tracks the history and charts it. I am also a weather nut so this gives me some great insight as I track forecasts..Version: 3.0.6

Nice graphics and resultsI use this app to track pressure changes for info for fishing. SUGGESTION to users, if you want a degree of accuracy correlate app results to local weather to determine if “offset” is necessary. My phone wasn’t too accurate BUT after offset entry it has been spot on!.Version: 3.0.4

So soFrom the description, I thought I was going to be able to see pressure trends over time, but it only seems to record a measurement when you open the app. This makes it much less valuable than I had hoped. I had anticipated it would take a r adding once every couple of hours or other user imposed time setting. Alas that is not the case..Version: 2.0.2

BaromètreFonctionne très bien.Version: 3.6.7

Great barometerGives you a good idea of pressure patterns very critical to monitoring Wether..Version: 3.6.9

Does not work wellI am not able to get any history graphs. Just a single dot no matter how many days history option/selection I look at..Version: 3.6.8

History dataWish there was a way to get history before we got the app. As a comparison it would be nice.Version: 3.0.4

Great functionality, UX is wantingGreat functionality, even in the free version. The barometer display and user interface would both benefit from a design update. I use it in remote areas where there is no internet so I haven’t noticed the ads on the free version..Version: 3.6.7

BarometerFun to use to predict weather. Accurately follows 2 aneroid barometers..Version: 3.6.7

Great for migraine sufferersI get migraines frequently and most of the time they are related to pressure changes in my area. The history graph and notification settings allow me to predict upcoming drastic changes and plan accordingly (take preventative measures etc). Definitely worth the cost! Thank you!.Version: 3.6.7

GreatWorks perfect.Version: 3.6.7

BaromètreFacile pour l’ajustement de l’altitude Je l’utilise régulièrement.Version: 3.6.7

Merci!!!Je l’utilise plusieurs fois par jour ! Bravo 👏.Version: 3.0.7

Annoying adsUnsolicited ads pop up constantly making it difficult to use or enjoy an otherwise good app.Version: 3.1.2

Great app!I suggest you to give an option to change the scale in the graphic screen, like zoom in..Version: 3.0.4

Mr RainSeems to work well no issues so far.Version: 3.0.6

BarometerA free app that does exactly what it is intended for..Version: 3.0.5

Works fine, iOS new privacy stuff was blocking it.Kinks have been worked out..Version: 3.0.4

Source of ComfortWorking on a contract in the remote community of Nain, Labrador, NL Canada, I find the barometer lessens the isolation. A comforting tool that allows me to keep a close eye on the weather, and it’s all at my fingertips..Version: 3.0.4

Voila!Simple, minime,écoénergique( piles) 97.9 % a sa précision .. fort probable les réseaux et regions Conseil fait vos mise à jour et tout sera scoobydoobedo 😉😁.Version: 3.0.4

ExcellentI use this app to help me identify what's causing a sinus headache, usually the high or low-pressure systems are the culprit and having a easy to read lay out helps..Version: 3.0.4

Not sureI somehow thought it would help explain the weather system better. It really only tells me the weather now, no forecast.Version: 3.0.4

Mystery of air pressureThis is a really good app and a whole lot cheaper than buying one! Love watching the pressure increases and decreases and associated weather. 2 improvements, the marker needle is a little funky setting it is reversed, you move your finger to right it goes left so I would have the needle follow finger movement an graphing is great to observe trends and patterns I would include different graphing options, bar, line etc. Otherwise great app and fascinating!.Version: 3.0.4

Fun appLike the altitude sensor as well, the wife watched it as we drove down the road, dropped 50m to the end of the street! (Approx 160ft) that’s why we have studded tires in the winter! Nice to set the reference and see how fast pressure is changing, and how fast..Version: 2.1.0

Love this appWhat’s great about this app is that you can fine tune it in order to get the most accurate readings. I’ve used different weather apps and info from a nearby major airport to set it up and also had to fine tune the ASL and it’s now very accurate..Version: 3.0.4

BobbyWorks great. Fairly accurate..Version: 3.0.4

Meter. MadeGreat app, easy to use, well thought out.Version: 3.0.2

ReviewApp works great. Very accurate. Well done developers!.Version: 2.1.1

Accurate, simple and cheapWhat more could you want? Does exactly as expected and just a couple of bucks to upgrade to ad free..Version: 2.1.1

Reasonably accurate appThis app does everything it claims. The graph and data functions come in handy for tracking the variables in air pressure. The gauge is easy to read and understand in all measures (such as KPA ). The inches function correlates with the Government of Canada Weather website www.weather.gc.ca making it relatively simple to cross check the weather reports..Version: 2.1.1

Très bienFait la job !.Version: 2.1.0

NAUI1Love it, straight forward and it works as advertised! like the ability to change up the displays..Version: 2.1.0

Barometer plusLove that even works without data.Version: 2.1.0

It worksSimple interface to read barometric pressure. Pointer needle on the dial face. Graphing ability shows trends. Reads pressure accurately when compared to nearby airport reporting. Ads are mildly intrusive but hey, it’s otherwise free to use. I like it..Version: 2.1.0
