I’m not sure if I want to keep subscribingI am currently on a free trial of Magzter Gold and I like the UK magazines but what I don’t like is that they want to charge me for reading the American magazines which is crazy considering I live in the US. Also another thing I don’t like is that there are too many magazines that are of another language (different languages to be exact) and less of the English language magazines whether it’s UK or US version. Please change my mind and consider including the American magazines as part of your gold subscription? Otherwise I’ll just stick with Apple News + and purchase UK magazines a la carte..EmpresaRoseVersion: 8.9.1

Good but can be betterWhile the interface works well on iPhone and iPad, the web interface is little clunky. Barring these missing features, I think this is a great value: * no sync across devices - I have an iPhone as well as an iPad and if I read a magazine on one device, the app on other device should continue from where I left off. * favorites organization is severely lacking - I have many magazines as favorite and I can only see magazines in the order I added them. There should be some way to sort/group items * there is no visible download queue and the downloads stop when the app is in the background. I usually like to download few magazines before I leave for a trip but have to keep waiting for the downloads to finish. There is no easy way to know if the downloads have finished so I have to remember the last magazine I put in the queue and see if it is done.Apple3gsVersion: 8.1

Worth a million times over!If you are someone who purchases even 1-2 magazines per week, you are wasting your money at the store. You need to stop now and get a subscription to this app. You have access to hundreds of online issues, also available to read offline. I no longer have piles of magazines laying around. App crashes Not worth. Very irresponsible teamI have iPad and I have installed the latest ios too. But the app crashes the moment I open news papaer such as "The Businessline" or any other news papaer. This I am facing last 3 months. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it. Works perfectly on iPad AirFor years I have wanted to read magazines online. This app does the job. On an iPad Air, pages turns are quick enough to be similar to reading a printed copy and the resolution is high enough to not be annoying. Get your bookmarks togetherI love access to the magazines but I’m frustrated with the viewer app that now requires network access to change bookmarks. Often I’m in a location without WIFI access with my tablet, but I still want to be able to add and delete bookmarks to mark my progress. Poor interface, missing issuesThe UI is very poor. You are immediately shown everything and the kitchen sink but not what you came here for: to read what you already own or want. Not USA titlesMost of the popular English language magazines are the Canadian, English or Indian version not US. And you can’t filter on county only language. Also you can’t tell until you open it up and start reading. It’s pretty annoying especially if you end up liking a product or recipe. Decent Selection but buggy softwareOverall I found the selection of magazines to be decent. It’s true that a lot of the magazines are from Asia or aren’t in English but I found plenty of magazines that interested me. I also had no issues downloading magazines to read offline. The problem is the app keeps deleting all the magazines that I’ve downloaded every few days. I’m trying the 30 day free trial and it’s happened 3 times now. It’s bad enough having to download everything again but you also lose your place in the magazines. I have lots of free space on my iPad so there is no reason to keep losing my downloads. ScamAdvertises that they can give you 5,000 + magazines to read. The majority of them are useless. Most all credible magazines they list require you to buy a regular subscription to read. In some cases, the price you would pay through Magzter is more expensive than if you order directly from the publisher. What a scam. Been waiting 2 weeks to get back my promised payment. I immediately accepted the offer for the Gold account, which was free for 30 days, but requires you to allow the monthly billing through iTunes. Could be 5 stars … one fatal flawGreat price and replacement for the awful Apple News app. They need to hire a real product manager who uses their product, and can see how some terrible design decisions should be (easily) fixed. My magazines disappeared!I have been using Magzter regularly for the past few years. I have generally been happy but recently I have had lots of problems. A couple of times, all my downloads just disappeared .... my old issues of Yoga journal that I have paid for have all disappeared and are not accessible to me any more. I boarded a flight and tried to access my downloaded issues but none are available and I have to now download them all again which is a real nuisance. Gold subscription issuesI wanted to try the seven-day free trial to Magzter Gold to see how I liked the content and the app. However, after verifying my info through Apple and getting a verification email, I kept getting an error telling me that I don’t have a valid Gold subscription. I then sent an email to customer support and I was told I would get a response with 48-72 hours. In other words, the seven-day free trial is more like four or five days (at best). Gets annoyingIt constantly asks to send notification even after declining for couple of time. Same applies to subscribe to gold subscription. The app is being pushy. However, I counted 1,020 available to me under my Gold subscription. Of those about 1/3 are borderline pornography. Of the 1.020 only about 1/4 are current. Many are months or years behind. Anything actually good is additional cost over subscription. I hardly ever write app reviews but thought people should know. No way to deactivate auto renewalThis advises you can cancel auto renewal at anytime. Which was big reason for signing on this site. So of course, when I went to manage my subscriptions to deactivate auto renewal you couldn’t. Definitely a bad buyThe ads are very tempting - thousands of magazines available to read. The reality is very different. Abysmal Customer Service with Questionable Business PracticesAs a Magzter GOLD subscriber I was provided with a list of GOLD magazines included as part of my subscription. However, since Nov 2020, three GOLD subscription magazines have failed to be provided. I first contacted "customer service" on Dec 17th to bring this to their attention. Successive email communication has failed to resolve this, culminating in the following boiler-plate response: "Dear xxxxx, Thank you for writing back to us. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you in this regard. I have escalated your complaint as critical feedback to our team and they are working on this issue. We at Magzter, strive to deliver best reading experience and services to our customers. However, mishaps like these do happen due to unforeseen disengagement of some publishers. App updates erase my downloaded magazinesI download all of the back issues of my favorite magazines and bookmark the articles I want to refer to on an ongoing basis and then all my downloads are erased from my iPad when an update comes in.
