BREATHTAKING!!!I had no idea that the Weather Now App existed until I recently saw an article on the YAHOO! Website about some apps being temporarily offered for free at the APP STORE. I saw this app and decided to download it on my iPhone and try it out. WOW! This app blew my mind when I first used it. It is a wonderful app to use, because it allows you to see the entire world-half of the planet during day time hours and the other half at night. I especially like seeing the night lights on certain areas of the continents. I am able to check the weather anywhere in the world and be taken directly to a city's location. It's an awesome sight to see. Getting this app is like an early Christmas present, because I got it for free...at the right time! Compact and ConciseThis is a very well-made app that shines on my iPad2. Weather Now has a user-friendly interface that is chock full of information used to determine today's, 48 hour and 15 day forecast. The app has a unique perspective which not only offers today's weather icon for easy, at-a-glance comprehension, but also a view from space that allows users to traverse across the globe in seconds to find out the current weather at their favorite spots around the world. The database is very good, as I found cities both locally and internationally not always found on other weather apps that I've used before. Additionally, one can see the day/night phases from this otherworldly perch. The graphics are crisply rendered and the animation runs smoothly at a good clip with no hesitation. My only request for future builds would be to add sounds that align with today’s current weather…a slight nudge to the dev for more “ear candy”. Great appAbsolutely love the line graphs, especially the one that shows the highs and lows. It's cool to see the range in temperature for the day along the week; so you can pretty much figure out what the average temperature will be. It's also a quick and easy way to see and compare the weather in multiple locations. I also really like how much detail and information you are given. There are a couple of things that I wish they could improve on. My biggest wish is if the maps could be more precise and as accurate as possible; especially the precipitation and temperature maps. Another suggestion for those maps is maybe there can be a way to manually see those maps in a time-lapse. Beautiful design... Not very colorblind friendlyIt's just like I said, I have red/green colorblindness. Or more specifically red deficient, which means when red is next to green I cannot tell which color is which. Also I cannot see purple at all, if the color purple has more blue it looks blue to me, if the purple looks more red if looks red (or more often pink) to me. This interface requires the ability to see colors clearly to decipher pressure, wind ect. If there was an option to change the color dynamics or gradients, color range, substitutions, ect., I would have no issues with this app. I have seen this with certain games where colors can be substituted or a symbol is overlaid (optionally) for those who cannot see certain colors. And for those who don't know, my red/green colorblindness is one of the most common of colorblindnesses. Lots of guys don't even know they are lookin like a bad Christmas decoration because this is so common. I really would like to see more apps/led indicators with alternatives to the red/green metaphor which has become ubiquitous. Otherwise it's a really good app..Obis11Version: 1.5.7

Weather Now ReviewWeather Now has a beautiful display that is very nice to look. It's display has caught the attention of others close by while in public locations who have inquired about it. The site is laid out in a manner that is easy to use and update with geographical locations I'm interested in. The forcasted weather has been very accurate. Beauty and the Beast. What is wrong with the map?I have had this app for a while and it is one of the prettiest weather apps available. Watching the earth rotate is mesmerizing. The temperature badge on it's visually appealing icon is absolutely indispensable and worth three stars in itself. Today I opened this app to take a look at my local radar situation. What is up with that precip map??? You can zoom in a once but when you try to zoom in more it reverts back to the original miniature size. If you zoom in once, it reverts to the miniature size after a couple of seconds. (Irritating little beasty.) It does not show precipitation at all. Is there a radar map??? If a real map with radar is something you're supposed to purchase (I have not investigated the possibility yet) it would serve them better to say so. If I were not completely committed to having a pretty icon with a temperature icon I would've deleted this app when the precipitation map turned out to be such a dud. I, like many people, don't have time to ferret out hidden features. There are too many other apps with accurate and easy to find/use features available. I will still recommend this app for the reasonably accurate temperature badge on the beautiful icon, and the beautiful graphics. Not impressedI'm disappointed. Other reviews said it was great, must be friends. I had higher hopes. The description says only professionally installed weather stations mostly at airports. The five stations near me are in residential neighborhoods (see below) and no where near an airport. These are by far the very closest weather stations of any app I've tried. So that's a plus. The app is $2.99 and the advanced widget notification is Additional $ (and within the app it does not explain what that is so why would I pay for it). Plus they have made up cities. I allowed the app to use my location while using the app (that's the BIGGEST plus it does not use my location always) and the locations extremely close to me have these ridiculous city names that are actually neighborhoods not cities. And not even correct neighborhoods in some cases. Close by not correct. Neighborhood names are fine but don't List this as cities. UI is nice. Graphs are nice. Globe is fine. As for the map it would not zoom in enough to confirm a decent approximation of the pin location. The only time you see that is when you set your location. NiceThis was my favorite weather app, it is very simple, concise, and gives you a lot of information on one single page, without too much tapping and scrolling. One of the main reasons that makes this my favorite weather app is the fact that the UI is very clear, crisp, well defined. The graphs and numbers are bold and colorful, very easy to read. Everything comes on a black background, creating beautiful contrast. However, there is one thing that really bothers me a lot, reason for the 3 stars: the short forecast is never 48 hours, it doesn't update every 4 hours as it's supposed to. Right now, for example, it's 11:30pm and the short forecast still shows the 12pm, 4pm and 8pm on the graph. Normally, once the time passes 4pm, the 12pm should disappear from the graph, when the time passed 8pm, the 4pm should also disappear. Like I said, it's 11:30pm now, and the first 3 time segments on the graph (12, 8 and 4pm) are still there, in detriment of the 3 segments at the end of the graph, which would actually give you the 48 hours forecast. If the graph shows more than 11 hours in the past, then that's less than 37 hours forecast, not 48..DIDE2020Version: 2.7.7

Great App Wish Badge Was More TimelyI really like this app, it's beautiful. The pros; The display is beautiful and it has the right amount of information and graphs. Best looking weather app out there. The cons; If they could do something with the temperature notification badge with the temperature read out I would give it five stars. The temperature on the badge does not update regularly, so you have to open the app to see the temperature which defeats the purpose of the quick glance badge. Most organized weather appI've used this app for years and gave it 5 stars when it first came out. I like the graphs and ease of viewing. Accuracy is better than average. When they added the badge I was thrilled and it worked great until many updates later it now fails to update or sometimes doesn't show at all. And the hourly forecast now starts from 6 hours earlier than the current time. I don't need to see the past! I'd prefer those six hours added onto the future hourly graph. For this reson the app goes from a strong 5 stars to a sad 3. The first problem is the sunset line dose not move across the planet on its own. Restarting the app or resetting my internet connection don't help. Pretty But Nothing MoreI got this app because I liked the interface. Shortly after it wanted me to pay for the widget. I was going too until a major thunderstorm came up in my area. I went to look at the weather radar and this very nice message told me that weather radar would not work on some devices. Seriously!!!! Rather disappointing. Too much braggingWell, I travel a lot and I have been looking for an app that gives me the radar overview of the local weather at any place on earth. This app comes into my sight and I instantly downloaded it. But within 60 seconds I regretted it and felt like I wasted $3. Here is what happened. I am staying in Allston,MA when I have downloaded this app and it's 11:30pm and there has been light rain for 2 hours. I then opened this app and the radar map shows no precipitation here at all. Even though the forest cast says it's raining, the radar map doesn't show anything. What's the point of buying this app while the live map radar gives the false information? I can just simply get the temperature information from any other free app. Yes the most disappointing part of this app is its not accurate at all, NOT AT ALL! Buyer BewareThere are too many versions of this in the app store from Deluxe ware. Just a search of the app store for weather now and there at least three. I installed this version and paid to remove ads and get full access to the app on a 1 year subscription. Two weeks later I had to uninstall the app because it was reporting 88 degrees in Phoenix and the meteorologist was reporting 115. After I reinstalled the app and clicked the restore button it said that I had not paid. I tried using the to contact the developer but that just took me to a site about apps in general.
