Using CVC Words phonics to teach your child to read, is the first step to making them independent readers.
What are CVC Words?
A CVC word is a word that is made up of a consonant, vowel and consonant sound.
Cat, hot, tip, man and hut are all CVC words.
CVC words can help build kids confidence in reading.
For children to start reading, they should first understand the sounds of each letter in the given word.

Love, but...GUN usedThis is one of the best apps I have found to help my 5 year old learn to read. It is nearly perfect. However, I do not think the use of a gun ( complete with picture) is appropriate. We are a military family so for us it's not a political issue. We don't want to desensitize our children to handguns. PLEASE REMOVE the word GUN from the words used in this app..Version: 1.0.0
