AmazingSo far this book I’m reading it so good and there turns but the one twin had a boyfriend and he became the other twin mate and the 1 twin go a make and he was a king and it so also me I can’t wait to see how this story plays out I’m so excited for the rest of the story The app it self is good and easy to use. I just wish they would let have the first 5 - ap chapters free they are very well written and the person narrating knocks it out of the park. There are some that are definitely lacking the have grammatical errors that make the story hard to read or listen to. Some of the narrators have a lot of reverb and there are others that sound as if an Al Bot is reading back the male voice when the woman's voice is spot on with great emotional carryover in their voice fitting to the part. I like it butI’m enjoying the books but my coins I earn do not always load and I’m worry paying for it won’t receive all I paid for but only time will tell how long I continue with this app. Update I paid for the highest promotion for new users but I did not receive enough to complete a book granted I got 2200 coins and points and I still have 36 chapters to go. So I don’t know if it’s worth it to continue I like the book but it seems like the writer has such a juvenile way of thinking when she create her characters it takes too long for ADULTS to get their ish together. They are bratty, illogical, making foolish mistakes I fear if she anything like her characters as writers put a little bit of themselves in their work I have pitty for her personal life that’s how childish her characters are but once we got past that and finally gets good around chapter 100 mind you I run out coins it’s annoying. ✨Amazing BUT Room for Improvement ✨This is a great app to include into your audiobook cycle. There plenty to choose from that are free to wait (approx. 1 free chapter a day). There are some that require coins/bonus. There are even FREE books. Like the classic books that are in the public domain (just type LibriVox into the search)! There are plenty of ways to earn bonus but you have to try to use it within less than a week or the bonus will begin to expire. Learned that the hard way 😂. You can earn 150+ points PER DAY. Have fun with it. Play a public domain book as you sleep so you wake up in the morning with the bonus waiting to be assigned to your faves. Really good app, but,I have had this app for quite a bit and absolutely LOVE it. You will see other reviews talking about how they had coins that magically disappear. I, personally, have never had that happen. I have bought coins, which came with “bonus”. This bonus disappears after a week of being owned, and will use the oldest bonus first. Coins will usually be used only after bonus is gone. DO NOT make the mistake of turning auto-unlock on and falling asleep. Yes, auto-unlock is great, but it can purchase chapters you didn’t want to purchase. Some of the narrators are automated sounding and I can’t stand it, but other authors do a nice job of incorporating emotions. You have to find a good book and keep with it. It's okayThe Bad: The stories can be irritatingly similar within a genre to the point that it seems like 90% were written by the same author. There are plot holes, 2D flat characters, and a several other issues in a lot of the books that I'd expect from creative writing assignments turned in by highly inexperienced writers.I have also noticed they haven't edited out the mistakes made by their voice actors at times, which cuts into the flow of the audiobook. The Good: There are several stories with genuinely interesting elements, written by writers who clearly have potential. It's worth looking for those. Has serious potentialThis app has potential to easily be 5 stars. Most of the production is done well, except I listened to a book the other day where a lot of the mess ups weren’t taken out - the narrator would say something wrong, stop a second, clear their voice & try the line again. But that wasn’t too bad. My biggest issues with this is there needs to be an option like the Galatea app where you can pay for unlimited listening for X amount of time - 1 week, month, year…. Also, I HATE that from my locked screen I don’t have the option to skip back a few seconds, it takes you to the beginning of the previous chapter - not even the chapter you’re currently on! That’s frustrating. Overall, most of the narrators I have heard are either really good or at least have really good potential (everyone has to start somewhere!) So yeah, the talent is generally quite good, but I need an option to be able to pay for a certain amount of time. If I have to spend so many coins/chapter, the books aren’t worth it - I can pay for cheaper options on Audible. It amazing but…So this just happened to me I loaded up the app to claim my point to unlock more episode and well after that I look and well I had about 200 points missing for the number I had the night before the number was 300 and something and when I got on it was 181 and the thing is I didn’t even buy any chapters after the last free episode ended I just left it there and when on to another story that I liked!! Now I had to gain those all over again which I’m fine with but like it takes to hour to get the bonus points and uh I’m not real happy with what happen and like please do something to this but if you can’t need leave it…. Great app BUTSo far I’ve been enjoying the audio options but unfortunately the chapters can be pretty short for the asking amount of coins/bonuses. The site does give you options to earn free bonuses by watching adds but personally I don’t feel it’s enough. I find it very costly. I’ve already spent close to $10 on chapters for a specific book and there’s still 37 chapters to go. I’m really enjoying the book but I don’t think it’s worth buying a ton of coins to use towards it. Love the audiobook butI love this audiobook and what you guys have done to it but the only thing I don’t like is the fact that I sent days saving so I can spend it on an audiobook but then it gets taking away it ask me to spend a certain amount of coins in like three days and if I don’t spend it, it takes it away. Takes you about 2 weeks - 3 weeks to actually finish a story for free. The stories seem to be corny and seems like teens are the one’s who write them. Like a LOTI down loaded this from Facebook and thought “ this might be alright.” Well I’ve been using this app non stop! The readers are ok the stories are addictive and I can’t put it down. I like how when you listen you get points to listen to other chapters (similar to other apps). Saving up is so hard when you want to know what happens next in your book! I like how you get a sample of the book and the readers. That way if I’m not like long the readers or the accent is too heavy I can skip to a different book. Interesting and attention gettingI really do enjoy this app on long car rides and when I’m standing in line. I love to read and this just made reading all the more excess-able even when I can’t read. Poor quality and customer serviceThank goodness I did not waist a lot of money. The 1st book I started with was a wait to listen, that was fine it put me in a false dream the audio was quality. The second book I purchased and that’s when it went downhill. The audio would stop a few seconds or minute into the chapter. When I would start it again it would start from the beginning of the chapter. The fast forward would not work. I sent 3 emails to support and no response. Automatic ProblemsHonestly, I love this app, the last update with the use of auto play is the problem. I have used the app for over a year and usually the auto voice warns you before it buys the new chapter and never opens the book for you on first opening the app. Recently it’s been giving a greeting and auto opening my book when majority of the time I’m on the app for another book or something else. Very good but needs some workI love the app itself. There is one issue I have with it tho. I get so attached to a book and I have to know the ending as most of you can relate, but it’s just so expensive. For one book I am spending like $50 and that’s crazy to me. Need ability to review individual booksI’m giving 3 stars because overall I like the app, but I think that readers should be able to submit reviews and criticisms for individual books. How are authors supposed to be able to improve without knowing what their readers think about their products? E.g. Really goodIt’s really good. I like it. The only problem I have is that when you unlock the next chapter the coin amount changes. The first one you unlock is 30 something coins, next is 40 something coins. It goes to 30 something again and then shoots up to 50 something. It’s all over the place. Stories are really good though. Okay, but frustrating.Getting coins to unlock the next chapter is not so easy without paying. For good listenGood app, is asome for listening during your daily work. Good titles, I wish someone of them have proper end, but I don’t think is upon the creator. The only issue I have, they aren’t consistent in the voice they used. Really Intriguing!The Audio that started it all for me is call Unsentable! I really really like the book and was drawn to it after the first chapter. The only thing I have an issue with is that the names were mixed up at the beginning. When the narrator mentioned Harper name it spelled out harbor. It was a lot of miss grammars like that (don’t think that’s the right term for it) and the punctuation. How the narrator reads it, it’s not the same when you read it and listens to it. StupiedDon’t get me wrong the books I’ve started to read where good do you get how I said started it’s impossible to finish a book unless you pay out of pocket and some chapter are like 3-5 min long and you have to spend bonus again which leads to paying they don’t have enough options to earn them and they don’t give enough they have you do still like share the books just to get 5 bonus point when your chapter your trying to unlock is like 54 points then there’s one that’ll give you 10 for each friend that opens the link you share and I did that and didn’t receive anything now you can do surveys but 😭😭don’t even waste your time your not gonna get them unless you pay for something and even then you still don’t get it now you end up with spam emails….. Annoying music you can’t get rid of plays over the bookThis morning I opened the app and there’s an AWFUL drum beat that plays before you even open your book. You would think it would go away, but it doesn’t, so your book is being overshadowed by this stupid song that the app is playing and it’s complete sensory overload. I can’t do it. I’m already annoyed that the book I’m listening to has weird music and sound effects while the narrators read. I don’t think that should be allowed, there are a lot of folks with sensory issues like me out there that hate it. Please fix the app, I can’t turn the music off and I’m not going to listen to a book while it plays. All my books and coins are goneI have been a reader now for several years and have/ had a large library which I am constantly adding to. Today though the app seemed to be having problems, it cut out, had a lot of static, and was skipping chapters. Was told once a long time ago to delete and reinstall the app when I was having some trouble with it, which I did and it had fixed my problem, so I repeated it for this problem. I reloaded to find that not only do I now have any of the books I had, but I have also lost all my coins that I had purchased. Inefficient App Experience & Expensive for Low Quality StoriesI don't care for the short chapters and having to stop to "unlock" chapters by waiting for or paying for coins as you go. This concept feels clunky and inefficient, often pulling the reader or listener from the story every 4-15min depending on chapter length. But what I really can't get behind is the cost to unlock these chapters (whether via cash or time spent earning free coins by doing surveys, watching ads, or spending money through affiliate ads) is utterly ridiculous, especially considering the quality of these stories. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLEI was originally super excited about this app! Being able to listen to a book while I’m cleaning or running around with the kids was awesome! They of course have the “bulk unlock” like normal book apps have- I saw a book I wanted and began stockpiling my point/coins or whatever you want to call them. I log on today so I can FINALLY Listen to the whole book at once and almost ALL of my coins are gone! Including the ones I purchased!!! I lost over 1500 bonus points/coins and I am left with 300 coins when chapters cost 40 coins each! This is completely unacceptable! Borderline scam.
