AccuWeather: Weather Forecast App Comments & Reviews

AccuWeather: Weather Forecast Positive Reviews

Where have you been all my life?I always growing up had to wait in Detroit, Michigan till 6 pm news when a famous weather forecaster Sunny Elliot would come on at 20 minutes after 6 to tell me that A. It rained that day. It was going to continue to rain through the evening and lessen till it ended by 4 am and the next day sun and a high of 79 degrees the next day Saturday. But this app is AMAZING! It tells me minute by minute, it has a radar that even someone with no experience can look and see oh that's just upper atmosphere clouds that look deceivingly like rain but nope, dry as a bone on the valley floor. I am so in love with all the new things they have added! I think the best of the best thing they have is the clock that you can say “ honey take the dog out to potty because in 6 minutes it will start to rain lightly” My husband loves this part of the app, because then I can tell him in 18 minutes it will become a downpour and we bring in the cute pillows and knick-knacks we have on a tray to enjoy out on our coffee table and couch area. Just get the free app, fall in love and then subscribe. I never knew that down deep I'm a meteorologist nerd. Maybe if I had a better showing of how seeing that the weather that comes of the coast of Africa made up the hurricanes I would have got my degree in Meteorology instead of Economics. Oh I almost forgot they have great weather stories that are awesome! Some are sad so I skip those. Plus anything the National Weather wants us to know it's right there and you can't miss it! I just love this App..Version: 15.1

WeatherNut817I have loved this app through and through and I really love love love the real-time minutecast and alerts. But: on the reports, why can’t you report things like ragweed pollen levels or like pet dander or whatever on it? Also I want to say that another great improvement would be like to say like “ tv glitch likeliness percentage” based on how much the rain is and how much it’s gonna block out the signal so we know “weather” 😉 ( see what I did there? 😉) or not to turn off the weather channel if we want EXTRA info from it, some people do! I don’t mean to be like picky but it would be a great nice thing to do AccuWeather. Anything else? No I think not, except for like maybe a “ thunder dB level” maybe so we can like know who loud it’s going to be because it just thundered really loud where I am maybe make it like we record the sound and like report it as “needs dB measurement” and you can tell us the dB level. With like AI or something idk but that would be great. On the TV glitch likeliness you could do it like the Minutecast doing like for every minute how likely it is? I would like to see these changes happen in the iOS app. It would be just GREAT to me and I think I would use it so much more . If you updated it like this I would really just think I would use it SoOoo much more and enjoy it 90% more than I do (100%) who doesn’t want 190% enjoy- ness rate? I would just love to see these changes happen AccuWeather. Plz make them happen. I would love this app even more. Thanks! -WeatherNut817.Version: 13.0.5

Perfect for MinnesotaI’ve tried numerous weather apps and have been really frustrated until this one. I’ve now deleted all the others, which were worse than useless, and rely on this one. I’m in Minneapolis, MN and need reliable information about snowfalls...when they will hit, and how much snow will fall. This one does that with daily and hourly forecasts. It also shows you precipitation forecasts minute by minute for the next two hours, which is vital information when trying to decide whether you have time to run an errand before the roads turn slippery. I was incredibly pleased with how informative this app was, and how accurate (taking into account the inherent difficulty of predicting where snow will fall and how much will come). The predictions are detailed and regularly updated as the storm approaches, and this app matches the reliability of our local forecasters. Other apps I used were constantly showing icons for snow that was never predicted by local forecasters (and never came), or alerting me all the time that it was freezing outside. You might as well tell me the Earth is spinning...it’s utterly useless information for half the year here. So I was always always running around trying to verify the forecasts of those apps. What’s the point? But this winter, I came to trust this app. Very impressive, given a polar vortex with -29 temps, and then getting hammered with a ton of snow a few weeks later than we usually get such massive storms. Thank you for finally putting solid weather forecasts into my hands! I happily paid for the upgrade..Version: 12.1.0

Still one of the bestI’ve been obsessed with meteorology since I was a kid, and have used AccuWeather daily for years. In my personal experience the app has gotten less accurate at least with their 60 minute forecast. That was always pretty spot on with not too much inaccuracy since it’s extremely short range. Recently it has been less accurate in my experience. I just watched the hour forecast change its mind 4-5 times in a half an hour. From no rain for an hour to wait it’s going to rain for 2 minutes then stop. Next it was rain may form in 58 minutes which led me to harness my huskies for a quick walk except when we get outside oh it’s sprinkling not a big deal it’s probably the edge of the rain moving out the minute forecast said no rain so I keep walking just to have it start raining harder and I check again oh just kidding it’s going to rain for 16 minutes. It changed at least once more after I made it back inside. Meteorology isn’t an exact science so nobody should expect perfection. However, an hour forecast doesn’t typically have a lot of error it’s essentially what’s on the radar right now and how fast what direction it’s moving. Hours and days out present actual errors which are expected. This type of thing has happened a couple of other times as well. I stopped double checking the radar to compare with the hourly, except with several weather, since AccuWeather typically nails it. I think now I will definitely start double checking the radar since I’ve lost some faith in the accuracy. I still love AccuWeather, but that does keep it from being 5 stars in my opinion..Version: 20.0.8

Epic, other than 1 or 2 wrong forecastsI wrote a review a couple months back about getting alerts for MT and I’m in MA, but silly me, that was because i forgot to turn notifications off after a relative went up there so I could warn them of any bad weather. Luckily I was able to warn him about a Blizzard Warning. Back on topic, the forecasts are really accurate. The minutecast is not to bad. Don’t expect it to be exactly what it says though. It may start a few minutes earlier or later, wether it’s snow or rain. The radar for the current time is quite accurate. This app warned me of a hailstorm with the radar and minutecast, so I was able to warn everyone at a party we had this past weekend to go inside and to the basement so we could watch the storm. The hourly forecast, eh. It’s right 50/50, depending on if it is actually raining. The hourly forecast will say it will rain but it doesn’t. When it is supposed to rain that day, it will say there will be 3-6 hour breaks, then a 1 hour shower/flurry/thunderstorm. The precise location shows my adress, but says it is in the town closest to me on a west/east basses. I have been using this app since I got into meteorology almost 3 years ago. Also, this app predicts the real feel pretty well. The Weather Channel will say 85 with a real feel up to 87, but this app really says what it feels like (may be over 20F over what it really is). Also, the AQI (Air Quality Index) is good. When all my apps say abundant sunshine, this app says haze, and what do you know? It’s hazy due to smoke from distant fires like it says! This app deserves 10/5 stars. Thanks, AccuWeather!.Version: 14.11

A Traveler’s “Must Have”! Accurate to the SECOND❤️WONDERFUL APP🌟 that uses data feed directly from NOAA (National Oceanic Atospheric Association)!!! We used this app when driving across the United States during tornado season. It was VITAL when traveling through the stormy Mid-West and predicted thunderstorms TO THE MINUTE. I was amazed how we would literally be in the middle of America’s Bread-Basket region, MILES from civilization and an alert pops up on the app “it’s going to rain/lightening at 2:16pm”... and yup, the drops would hit the windshield at 2:16pm. It also has a layered map you can customized if you want to see satellite or Doppler radar, etc. I LOVE the severity color coding so you can see where the most intense storm regions are located and you can plan accordingly. One of the BEST features is the app will warn you when you should seek shelter and it endeavors to do this as early as possible...sometimes it is hours in advance, sometimes it is only minutes. It is an invaluable tool to keep yourself and your Loved Ones safe. Even if you are not traveling but have property, animals or crops/garden you want to protect, this app is worth the download. By the way, everything I described above IS available in the free version. God Bless you all at NOAA and Accuweather! 😘 (...and before you ask, no, I am paid to give this review. I doing it out of memory for my mother who recently passed away. Shortly before the COVID lockdown, I drove her across America to see her childhood home. Using this app made it an enjoyable and safer journey.) PS: hug your family today!.Version: 15.1

Consistently Out of Date ForecastsThe first year using this app it was always spot on, especially the precipitation forecast. It would reliably give start and stop times for rain and was seldom off by more than 1-2 minutes. But over the past few months the app has repeatedly failed to update forecast changes. For example, there was a possibility for a moderately severe windstorm in our area with gusts up to 50mph and flooding rain amounts. In contrast, NOAA reported on Deep Weather nearly 36 hours ago that the low pressure system will come in too far south to allow for the strong winds and heavy rains ‘previously predicted. Currently, the AccuWeather app still shows that we are having strong sustained winds with gusts up to 40mph right now and up to 50mph after sunrise. In actuality, we are having relatively calm weather with a light breeze and moderate rainfall rates. Several other weather apps including The Weather Channel have already made the update several hours ago and show the actual current weather and updated wind forecasts. As I live on a houseboat, accurate wind and flood forecasts are very important in order to prepare our outside area to prevent objects from being blown into the river and add additional back up attachments to the mooring chains. This is the third time this winter that Accuweather has failed to update forecasts when heavy wind and rains previously forecast were no longer expected to occur. AccuWeathers forecasts have become far too inaccurate to be of any use for my area..Version: 20.0.10

So fire 🔥AccuWeather has firmly established itself as a leader in weather forecasting, renowned for its highly accurate and dependable predictions. Such a multi-faceted approach to data integration allows AccuWeather to generate forecasts that capture detailed atmospheric conditions globally, with real-time radar updates providing immediate information on precipitation, storm movement, and severe weather alerts. The extensive database of historical weather patterns, dating back over 50 years, enhances the accuracy of long-term and seasonal forecasts. This multi-layered data integration enables AccuWeather to produce forecasts that are often regarded as remarkably precise, detailed, and insightful, supporting decision-making across various sectors. One problem is that the radar looks out of place it kinda looks like idk what to call it but it looks like that for part of the time..Version: 21.0.18

49%This app is good, not great. I find it mostly easy to use, and I like that I can get more information within the app than I can with other weather apps. For example, in addition to a general allergy outlook, I can get an estimate of the levels of certain specific environmental allergens- including mold, which is very useful for me, as I have a severe mold allergy. The real feel forecast is also useful. So yes, there are a lot of good features. Furthermore, I actually have not found the ads to be THAT much of an inconvenience. Typically I can skip them after 5 seconds, and I have yet to personally experience the really annoying issues that other people have mentioned. BUT. If you’re forecasting weather, how on earth does a “49%” chance of rain or a “51%” chance of rain actually qualify as a forecast? ‘Maybe it will rain, or maybe it won’t’ is not super helpful, and adding 1% to that just makes it absurd. I can understand that sometimes there might be a 40% chance of rain, or perhaps even 50%. But I regularly find whole swathes of the forecast (like 6-10 hours in a single day’s forecast) written as a series of numbers like 51%, 48%, 49%, 47%... you get the idea. Usually this occurs for multiple days in a week, often more than half. Honestly, it feels sort of like a cop-out rather than a forecast, and it’s actually kind of laughable. So when it comes to rain, I feel like I can’t really rely on accuweather. I always check this app AND the weather channel. I very often find that other sources predict the chance of rain as 20%, or 70%, or anything else that’s not 49% or 51%. So I have no idea what’s going on with that..Version: 15.10.1

Mostly great! There are tons of weather apps available. The devs description is accurate, but I will tell you my top Pros/Cons. PROS: ~ Love the radar. Gives you an option to view the past or future. ~ A slick “Minute by Minute” wheel that pinpoints precipitation for the next two hours. ~ A ton of features that don’t overwhelm you when launching the app. The basic stuff is clearly and nicely laid out and simple taps/swipes will get you to deeper details if desired. CONS: * The “location services” pin points my house right on the mark. But, the app declares the location is a nearby city instead of the one my house is in. * I have several weather apps that use location services plus my own house thermometer. AccuWeather many times states that it is 4-6 degrees cooler than all the others. * That’s it. Some may feel those are picky things, but it is enough to knock off a star IMHO. Overall, a great app. I was happy to pay the $4 to support the devs and also get rid of the ads. 😄 UPDATE: AccuWeather no longer offers a pay once to get rid of ads. It is now a monthly or yearly fee. Besides costing much more, “family sharing” means nothing now. EVERY family member must pay the on-going fee if you want to get rid of the annoying ads. In other words, my pay once fee does not get grandfathered in. 👎🏻.Version: 14.10

Originally came to complain but….I came on to complain about the September update which completely changed the app. Before the change this was the only app I used as it was a simple interface and ran smoothly. Even with the ads. But that last update was so bad that it kept crashing and would have to restart. I was forced to download another competing app which I hated but I rather use that app than restart AccuWeather 3 times before it worked. But as I came to App Store to complain and was about to write my heartbroken review I decided to check to see if other ppl were having same issue and not just me( incase was my phone which I knew it wasn’t) and lo and behold 😲 there’s was another new update …. Immediately updated and just like before it opened on first try and ran smooth just like before 🤗🤗🤗. Closed and reopened just to be sure and it works good so far. So guys I saw others had same issue and if u were an AccuWeather only person Get the new download. I’m about to delete that other competing app and go back to being best pals with my AccuWeather. Thanks for listening to your customers and the app looks awesome. This was a great start to my morning 🤗🤗🤗.Version: 21.0.5

WeatherI get the MOST ACCURATE weather from this App ! Many weather channels & apps to choose from . I use to go by other sources , but most of them never told me the REAL WEATHER ,LIKE ACCUWEATHER DOES .It also gives more information about what to except on Winds ,Rain , Snow , and with Hourly , Daily or Weekly . So when it’s time for a Vacation or just going out shopping for the Day , I know exactly what to wear , and what items , like a Umbrella or Jacket for the cooler weather in the evening. I Have DELETED ALL MY OTHER WEATHER APPS with mistrusted details ! This one App tells me everything I need for any Outing .Makes my Days Happy , when I’m prepared .Went to Family Reunion, Very Nice Warm 80’s Weather , until the middle of outside Reunion. It started to pour down the rain , and chilled off quickly .I had a change of warmer clothes ,and raincoat & rainboots ,with a Umbrella in my Car .Sure made me tell everyone about Accuweather ,when they all kept asking me , how did you know to be prepared for a such a sudden change ! I felt like I was the Smartest Person Out Of the Whole Family ! Thank You Accuweather , you are my Daily Best Friend ! Shelley H ..Version: 12.5

Used to love it, Aug 2025 Update made unhelpful UI changesThis has been my go to weather app for many years because I found the display of information was easy to read quickly, it was easy to navigate, and the level of detail was helpful. I’m very disappointed to see that much of what I enjoyed was ruined with the last update. Most of the detailed info is still there, but it is hard to find. Location selector is awkward (other reviews are saying it just doesn’t work for them) and the font and graphics make it much harder to get that “at a glance” view of the weather for the day. Some information has been removed from my preferred views. I like the hourly day view graph a lot, but it takes too much scrolling to see the whole day, and the scale of the graph was adjusted so there is barely a change in the line between 60 and 100 degrees?? The change in scale and don’t also makes it harder to read the Real Feel Temps. This view also doesn’t show sunrise and sunset times (which I always look for) but they are listed on the other hourly view, which seems like a sloppy mistake. Overall very disappointed to see my once favorite weather app fall into the trap of making UI changes “just because”, with no benefit to the users..Version: 21.0.3

Price Increase, Quality DecreaseThis was a good app until the recent update. Now you can’t see beyond 12 hours out without paying for Premium PLUS, which used to be a free feature. I’m already subscribed to Premium but apparently Premium Plus is the new Premium. Disgusting. Beyond that, the aesthetic is weird now and is trying to be too similar to The Weather Channel app. Might as well just use TWC app because they don’t charge to see 24 hours of weather. I’m deleting this app and just forgoing the rest of the year I have left for Premium since it apparently doesn’t get you anything useful besides getting rid of ads. Do companies not know when they have a good thing anymore? Edited: The developers reached out to let me know how to find the 72 hour view as before, in the list view. I do appreciate that and I increased my rating accordingly. I do still think it’s wrong that they’ve paywalled some previously free features. I would be more interested in paying a monthly subscription if they added innovative features instead of asking users to pay for old, free features. Either way, I am glad my favorite features seem to be excluded from the paywall after all, so I will keep using the app as my default..Version: 15.9

Not so AccuI’ve used this app for a long time. I really enjoyed the radar feature provided. But the daily and weekly forecast is so far from accurate, I don’t feel confident using the app anymore. I understand the concept of “predicting weather” so that isn’t the issue. The issue comes from comparing it to three other weather apps at the same time. I didn’t start this comparison immediately, but time and time again the app failed to reliably provide “accurate” forecasts. When I started comparing to other apps, I noticed a trend. The three other apps were similar in forecast, but this app was so far away from them, it brought many doubts. For example, this app stated there was a 77% chance of rain on a particular day, while the other apps were 24% and lower. Technically, a 77% chance and a 24% chance are the same thing, if one understands what “a chance” for rain means. But, I personally plan my activities based on that percentage. If it’s higher, I’ll choose indoor activities, and if it’s lower I’ll choose outer activities. The example I gave was only one of many. I give this app three stars because it isn’t a bad app and has some good features, but it also isn’t “accurate” when it comes to forecasting..Version: 15.4

Was a 4, now a 3I don’t much care for your recent update. It takes too long to finish loading and updating so I can actually get current info. You took away the feature that lets you pull down on the screen for update. You changed the order of the allergens (why would you do that? I had the order memorized, now I have to read each one). You removed the phases of the moon. I do like the “today, tonight, tomorrow” feature. I’ll see how I feel about it all when I get used to it. But the last thing I needed in my life right now was more change. Update: got a notification that I got a developer response. But I don’t see any way to access it. Oh well. Might try a different weather app. Oh. To add to the above comments, I now have to scroll to see the humidity. Didn’t need to before. Nuisance. 2nd update. Finally read the developer response. I don’t know if it displays to the general reader, but my take on it was, “Our technology is more important than what you want. So we’re going to push our technology.” That’s not a quote, but my interpretation. Mr/Ms Developer, I have seen your glowing statements about how everybody just loves the new update. That’s not what I’m reading in the reviews. FYI, people really don’t like being lied to. I’m going elsewhere for my weather..Version: 14.1.1

Too many ads for a weather serviceToo long, didn’t read: I deleted Accuweather due to too many ads. Nearly rated it two stars, but it other than the excess amount of ads it is a well-made weather forecasting service. Well-made weather forecasting app that is not too difficult to navigate. It gives many ways of tracking weather on the radar as well as well as provides clear information about upcoming events. I frequently used Accuweather for many years until their new updates recently, which have dramatically reduced user-friendliness. Not only are many of the functions of the app now made premium—which is not a huge bother to me as they were not essential— but there are too many ads. While I understand the need for revenue, I also do not think it should come at the cost of the people using the app, especially an app of this kind. It now seems to be that Accuweather does not care for the users so much as they care for revenue, since many of the ads have hindered me from seeing what the weather outlook was in severe weather scenerios. If Accuweather could at the least remove the long pop-up ads that cover your whole screen, I will reconsider my rating..Version: 21.0.7

Like it, but concernedI like the new design more than the one before. I haven’t really been a fond of the circle, but now I can switch it to a regular graph which is very convenient. I like the fact that the icons are more colorful, not just plain black or white. The Apple Watch widget is also very complex and informative which I have been waiting for it for a long time. The accuracy on minute cast isn’t always there, on the other hand, but I can manage that. The concerning part is, when I wanted to set up the new app, going to the “Privacy settings“ tab, there are 3 tabs; the second one in the middle called “Purposes” is about collecting personal information; click the “Purpose” tab and you get 3 other tabs with analytics, services and marketing. Each has its own toggle and they’re supposed to let you opt in or out of them. On the top it says “you are in full control”, but the first 2 tabs, the analytics and the services, are opted in and they’re greyed out, so I can’t opt out if I wanted to. I’m not sure if they need them to be opted in, in order for the app to work properly, but it is surely restricting your choice of what you want to share. I’m a premium member, so I’m not sure if this has anything related to it..Version: 21.0.3

Great but Push Notifications Need HelpI use this app daily and for weather predictions I find it very accurate. The one annoyance I do have is, there are a lot of push notifications which is great because they will alert me to interesting stories like volcanoes erupting etc. However, when you select the push notification is just sends you to the current temperature screen for your location. From there I would have to figure out a way in the app to get to a particular story which I never do because it’s not immediately clear in the app how to accomplish this. Would love if they would fix this behavior so that when they give a push notification, the action of selecting the notification takes the user directly to the article or alert in question. If it can’t, just don’t send those types of notifications. It’s a negative user experience and lowers my opinion of and desire to use the app for anything other than current temp and radar - it’s actually more prompting me to turn off my notifications bc it is always such a let down to not be able to read more. Thanks!.Version: 20.0.4

Updated: CS was greatUPDATE: Customer Service was really great. The link to restore a purchase is definitely not intuitive. There is the tiniest, minuscule link for restoring purchases located at the very bottom of the pop up you get when you click on the Premium+ button. So, my no ads purchase from years ago has been restored. I still like the app… it seems to do as well tracking the weather as the other weather app I have, which is Weather Bug. So, I plan to keep using it… for now. —————- Several years ago, I paid for no ads. Because the app keeps locking up after the last update, I uninstalled and then reinstalled. Tried to find a “restore purchase” button, but there doesn’t appear to be one. Only thing I can see is the Premium button. I’m not paying a second time for no ads. Plus, after reading recent reviews, it seems I’m not the only one having serious issues with the app. It used to be great, but is now total garbage. Two stars only because it served me well for many years prior to becoming a trash app. Guess I’ll look to replace it with a better weather app..Version: 15.12.1

Used to be a good appAccuWeather used to be the powerhouse free weather app. Unfortunately, the ads have gotten out of hand. The UI is still pretty good, and the forecast are more often accurate than not, but you are bombarded with a full screen ad every time you change screens (from daily to hourly, or hourly to radar, or from the daily summary to the weekly summary). All of them come equipped with a 5-10 second timer before you can skip, the “close” or skip buttons are always tucked in the corner, and the same color as the ad. Don’t worry, If you’ve already been hit with three ads during your 3 minute browsing session, there are another three (probably the same ones you just saw) heading your way fast. If you can find a way to work around the frustration of the ads, it’s a pretty good app. If you want to do a quick peek of the weather without having to jump through hoops, or put energy into navigating, this is not for you. Even if you don’t mind the ads at first, you will grow to hate them as much as you love the accuracy. I understand money has to be made somehow, but certainly a less greasy way is possible.Version: 14.17.1

Just one little thingGreat app. Accurate and simple to use… except when you send out text notices with titles like Drenching Rains Coming. When I click on it it takes me to a page with a white banner on the left that allows me to do all sorts of things like upgrade the app, or review the app like I am doing here, now. The problem I have is that the only way I have found to close this page and get back to the regular app page with the forecast is to turn off my phone and turn it back on. I mean to say that there never is anything here on this page that has anything to do with the title you sent me. Oh, I can go to Channel 13’s website, but I don’t want to go to the website. There is a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and I want to look at the forecast. So, I am going to turn off my phone and turn it back on to get control of my phone back, again. Next time I am going to delete the app. I can get weather apps anywhere. I mean pick a TV channel. They all offer weather apps. (Or you could fix the page so a person can tell how to get off of it? Is Update 14.0 a Money Grab Attempt?Been following reviews for about a month now. 95% of them dislike the update and ask for Version 13 back. Developer replies have been canned and unhelpful. I don’t need to read for the 50th time about your “persistent” toolbar. Only thing persistent is how the app fails compared to Version 13. I’m seriously wondering about the trustworthiness of Accuweather company. In 2017 there were reports that Accuweather was selling customer current location data without permission to other companies. Has this practice stopped? I hear other comments about ad placement becoming a nuisance. Is this a ploy to drive subscriptions up? Will you be releasing an “update” that returns you to the nice Version 13 but you call it Accuweather Platinum or another term other than premium so all those premium users are stuck with the inferior Version 14 unless they pay every year for a subscription? Please be honest with us. Please respond to my post — I’ll check to see if you deleted it and keep posting until we hear a reply. I would love if you prove me wrong and return to Version 13 without additional charges. Looking forward to your reply. Bill.Version: 14.16

Superior quality weather forecastsThis weather app because it combines an easy to use interface with surprisingly accurate forecasts which often pin weather events to within minutes of when they actually happen. I have been using the free version with advertising which used to have mostly innocuous ads. Now full screen ads routinely pop up, some with decidedly scammy content you don’t dare click to dismiss. The only way out is to swipe the whole app closed then reopen and hope not to see the same ad. This used to be a four star app, but the toxic ads made me reduce it to two stars. Update 29 January 2023: There are still full screen ads which pop up right when you are trying to do something which is jarring and actually tends to make one resent the advertiser, the opposite of what is intended. Most of the ads seem to be cancellable now, some only after a mandatory countdown. So the advertising situation is better and you can sped $0.99/month to get rid of the ads if you want. I’m raising my rating one star, mostly based on the good accuracy, but hampered by advertising which reduces the usability of the application..Version: 15.8.2

Layout is ConfusingI decided to download the premium version of this app after The Weather Channel had too many video advertisements. I was just tired of the ads. This app has no ads, but it is the LEAST user-friendly app I’ve ever had. The “back arrow” buttons are the same color and size as the text, and they’re placed right next to the text, so it took me a while to figure out how to go back. And every screen, the back button looks different. Sometimes you have to swipe down to get out of a screen (for example, hourly), and sometimes you have to hit the back button. And don’t even get me started on trying to toggle the hourly “compass”-style button. As soon as you touch the circle to try to drag it, the entire data does this weird zoom thing and the sensitivity is way too high for anyone’s thumb. It’s like they adjusted the mouse speed to 100- any tiny movement and you’re 4 hours past where you wanted to go, and it doesn’t land where you want it to land. Also, the circle should be on the actual hours, not on the bar graph below. You have to move the circle on the bar graph to see the hours change on top. It’s just not a very well-designed app..Version: 12.0.2

App is great but “RealFeel” is misleadingI do love the minutecast format (which is usually correct) and the overall look of the App. Unfortunately, for the past few weeks the RealFeel temperature has been absolutely wrong. And I mean off by more than 10-15 degrees. I first noticed it on a day when the RealFeel was expected to stay in the single digits all day, but the lowest the App ever got to that day was 16. Thinking it was just warmer than they predicted, I ignored it. But the last few days have been bitterly cold, again with single digit RealFeel predictions. Again, the past 2 morning the App has shown the RealFeel temps at around 15-17. However, THREE other weather apps currently say the RealFeel is between 3-5 degrees. That’s well over a 10 degree difference which is a HUGE difference in the winter, and very frustrating. I don’t understand how they it information is so off compared to several other Apps. We’re expected to get a few days of small showers this week, and Accuweather makes no mention of some of those snow showers. If it ends up that it does snow those days, and they’re not predicting snow like every other app, then it’s kind of pointless to keep Accuweather around..Version: 14.6.2

Unable to manage specific notificationsThe weather is displayed in an easy to read and aesthetically pleasing way, but ultimately it is no different than the weather channel app or others rated highly in the App Store. I downloaded this app because I was on the hunt for a weather app that had specific notification settings (ie, UV index alerts, pollen allergy alerts, storm alerts, rain alerts, etc.). I want to pick and choose which notifications I receive and don’t receive. The settings menu is limited to enabling/disabling notifications for local severe weather, government alerts, and weather news. I signed up for the premium subscription in he hopes that the settings menu would expand, but it did not and I was left with the same basic notification options. I want to be able to turn on notifications for UV index. I want to be able to turn on notifications for heavy rain. I want to be able to turn off notifications for light rain. This would be an easy adjustment to make. I would give it 5 stars if I were able to manage notifications of all the information provided..Version: 16

AccuWeatherBest weather App for Canadian locations.Version: 20.0.4

No English on alerts from QCI still cannot understand why AccuWeather cannot provide bilingual weather alerts for Quebec. If Im driving to QC and there is an alert, I want to know what it is in English. I would imagine someone from QC driving to Ontario would experience the same frustration..Version: 21.0.11

Great appI use this app for a long time and it is a lot more precise than any other weather app.Version: 20.0.2
