Meditative and beautifulI love this app! The beautiful images you make are astonishing and it is very zen, very calming. Almost a meditative act - your finger speed determines the color (color options could be broader but that's not a big deal because images would get blinding if there were too many colors). Tapping, swirling, swiping and slow, lingering movements bring out different patterns, all of which are enhanced by mirroring and lots of fractal math buried somewhere in the programming. The movement of your finger(a) on the screen brings a colorful image to life - something like Spirograph on acid! Exceptionally great generative art appThis is relaxing, exciting, inspiring, and just a beautiful app to play/work with. It's responsive and very fun! Silk has the ability to use different variations and colors. I would like to see an extended color pallet and the ability to vary line width as well as slow or accelerate the speed of the flaring effect. Missing features of free online appWhile this is vey cool, I was bummed to discover that the app actually gives you less creative control than the free online demo. For instance, on line you can determine the duration of a stroke's spread, which makes a huge difference. (I'm not describing that very well. Online, you draw a line and then click again to stop the spreading color. This lets you make thin or thick lines perpendicular to the wind direction.) while that draw then release color mode is less relaxing, it gives more control over the finished product. A good start.Beautiful app and it might be that I just can't find the controls but this app needs: Color cycling. More colors or even a palette mixer. A volume control. More brushes wide and narrow. Is this a JOKE???If you're an artist, trust me... you will HATE this app. The pictures are completely misleading, as is the online demo. Everything about this app is random, making it TOTALLY USELESS for any kind of intentional design work. You can (sort of) control the wind direction, but you can't adjust the speed. There's no way to choose a color palette (or even a single color), let alone the brightness or intensity. There's no control over the length, width, density, or opacity of stroke. All you get is ability to generate an infinite number of lookalike "drawings" in neon rainbow hues. It's beyond disappointing.
