Less than user-friendly app.I agree with the last reviewer in that browsing the library available is very difficult. If you need a subscription to a different channel it should be in it’s own section! Plus, sometimes, no, often when I’ve been watching a series I go back and can’t find it when you would think it would be more like Netflix, sitting there in plain site waiting for you to watch it again, but, NO, you have to remember what it was called and go to search and find it that way. And some of the British shows are just difficult to remember the names of because they aren’t names of shows we are used to hearing about in the US. Fix my subtitles so they stay on!!!I could care less about the new format and look, but subtitles are messed up now. It used to be that movies and shows would always play with subtitles because I turned them on. Now every time I watch something, I have to turn subtitles back on, even if it’s the same movie that I just started earlier that day. If you’re going to make it that subtitles are automatically off, then at least make it a setting option to have them automatically on vs automatically off. I’m someone that uses subtitles all the time, and I’ve never had to turn them back on for the same movie every time I re-open the app and press resume. Every other streaming app and previously prime video too, if you turn subtitles on once for one movie or show, they stay on for everything until you turn them back off. That’s how it used to be and that is better. Now I have to hit pause, turn subtitles on, go back 10-30 seconds, then I can resume my movie with subtitles on. At least make an option in settings to have subtitles automatically on or off, plus the ability to change it for an individual movie or show. Also it’s buffering and lagging more than before. In my case, it could be the area I’m in bc I have no wifi and most places have poor cell service, but prime video is still acting up more than any other streaming apps I use. I’ve never had any issues before, and if subtitles worked properly, I would give it a 5 star rating. Good app.I use the free version of the service and it is a good app for that. Being able to watch free live channels and free on demand shows is what makes it good. However there’s a couple issues that need to be addressed. Mostly with episode numbers and playback issue. There are some shows that you can’t list as episode 1 for each season. For example the on demand episodes of The Price Is Right the Barker era channel you have it listed as episode 1 for season 11. That’s incorrect. The first 5 episodes of season 11 were skipped and begins with episode 6. 10 episodes are actually missing from that season due to the channel skipping those episodes. Therefore they should be listed as the production numbers. Episodes 4581 through episode 4985. As far as the playback goes episodes 4581 and 4582 are played twice for on demand viewing. Where episodes 4851 and 4852 are supposed to be played it plays episodes 4581 and 4582. Or in the way you have these episodes listed instead of episodes 130 and 131 are supposed to be playing it plays episodes 1 and 2 for the 2nd time. Please look at those episodes and find the 2 episodes that are supposed to be playing on demand and get them corrected. Enough saidI could say more, but for such a big company you should be coding your app better. The next episode play doesn’t work on iPhone 11 Pro Max. I like the new clips feature but why are you having them automatically playing along with the continue watching. As well, the play of the promo videos at the top of the app. It’s excessive, and most likely annoying for people with ADHD. I am all for you all making more money, but do you really need to be money locking everything. Your pay for no ads either doesn’t work or I don’t understand it. You should also maybe give people the options to make things less distracting, like the automatic plays that I was talking about and even maybe toggling the automatic next play. I do understand the removal of the next play button on the app because you can scan the episode to the next one but it’s sometimes hard to catch the little dot to scan through the episode. It also might not be intuitive to some people to even get to the next episode like that. Maybe not the best decision doing that. New, visually impaired member.I’m a new member of Prime video app. I like it very much. I don’t agree with people complaining about morality or politics. Shows are all about pushing limits. Shows are like the great American novel. Without freedom of speech, expression and creativity, we would have nothing new, noteworthy or entertaining. The first show i pulled up was Fallout. It was great! I love sexy, quirky and high-energy shows. Like Alien Earth, industry. So, i was immediately onboard. Unfortunately, there is one problem. Figuring out how to activate audio description, for my account is rather difficult. If there could be an easy to find toggle on or off, that would be awesome. Other than that, i don’t have any complaints. I’m down to explore, have fun and enjoy any titles with audio description. I do know the options are available. But, i have to find out how to access them. Also, the interface is a bit slow and clunky, when voiceover, iOS, is active. Fixing that would greatly improve my experience. The app lets me downI watch prime video mostly on my computer, except at night when I watch it in bed to fall asleep to. I have almost 0 complaint while watching movies/shows on the PC, but about 50% of the time that I swap to my phone and try to cast the show to my bedroom TV at night, I have no option to cast. I don’t know what is constantly breaking that removes my ability to cast to any device at all (the entire option is gone when this happens!) but it needs to stop. I have to pay for another streaming service just to be able to watch TV consistently at night because this app isn’t reliable at all in that department. A quick google search shows that I am not alone in this complaint. Why it hasn’t been fixed by now is beyond me. Besides the casting issue, I also have problems with auto play. I turned off automatic playing for the next episode when I was watching something on the computer one day, and that setting didn’t carry over to my phone when I casted from it later on. I then turned the auto play off on my phone as well and now my entire account is broken and no matter what option I set it to on my phone or on the computer (auto play on or off), I can now no longer have the next episode of any show automatically play. I have to manually select to move forward to the next episode both on my computer and on my phone, which is an issue (again) when trying to fall asleep to any show. It’s an inconvenience at my PC, but a bigger issue for my sleep routine. Again, I’m having to pay for other streaming platforms to pick up the slack for this app. I will say that the selection is great, for free movies as well as for purchases, and other than the issues I listed here, it’s been decent. If the prime video was a separate subscription from the prime membership, I’d have cancelled it due to the issues I’m having… but as it’s an included service and costing me nothing extra at this time, it’s a good bonus to your prime membership if you don’t mind some functionality glitches..BeeritzVersion: 8.35

Becoming a poor value.More and more, movies are becoming pay for view, and it’s incredibly maddening to say the least. For example, to watch Doris Day movies that are over 50 years(!) old you have to pay an additional cost on top of your Prime membership when you can rent them from the library for free. 7-8/10 movies I choose lately to watch are now an additional charge. It is becoming an extremely poor value for membership holders. Needs ImprovementWe should be able to create playlists with pin lockable option. It would be nice to drag and drop in whatever order we prefer as well. It’s also very difficult to find movies or tv with left swiping one row when my collection grows. On my desktop, I have a touch function on the screen, but I prefer to use the mouse. The software apparently recognizes that I have a touchscreen and does not allow me to use the mouse to navigate my collection. I don’t like the channel subscriptions. That’s a lot of money for just one program on that channel in many cases. Often, the titles and descriptions of episodes are misplaced and/or out of the correct order. This should be checked against the IMDB. Film or Television program titles and descriptions are incomplete. Subtitles for some films and programs have seemingly endless errors. It’s as though someone is treating these like text messages or someone does not understand English as their first language. There are multiple examples of words being thrown together. If it was a product of actors going off script occasionally, that would be understandable, but thats not the case. It would be great if the player had a frame by frame still function and scene selections instead of only 10 second jumps. The technology may need to catch up with that ability on streaming services, so that may not be possible yet. Lastly, “My Stuff”?!? ReviewEnjoy for the most part. Don’t mind a few commercials. I really enjoy a lot of the foreign shows and movies. But don’t like only getting one season, I usually check to see how many seasons are available before starting something to see if I want to invest my time in something I may not get to continue. I hate finding a show that appeals to me only to find out there was only one season. For shows with only one season it would be nice to know if it gets wrapped up or ends in a cliffhanger. Love itPrime Video is great. The app itself has always run flawlessly on my phone. Using the Prime Video app on my TV has been great too. They have a lot of tv shows and movies to choose from. I like how they always remember where you left off. It’s nice that you can make different profiles so your shows aren’t mixed in with a family member’s shows or vice versa. They have a lot of kids show options as well which is great. The only thing I noticed about the app that was a negative, would be that sometimes after I’ve watched a show, it won’t show up in the “recently viewed” list and I have to search for it which is kind of a pain. If you’re out of the country…This is a great app and my wife and I love the fact that we can watch whatever we want whenever we want. We have no issues with the content or the quality of streaming. But we do have a couple of issues: We pay the extra fee to have an add free experience but some shows still show ads and those that do are very frequent and long (sometimes over 2 minutes several times a show). The other is the fact that sometimes I am not able to stream my favorite shows at all when I am out of the country. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t and there doesn’t seem to be a consistent reason. I can log in on the web and watch whatever I want when I am out of the country even though the app won’t let me. Trouble while trying to chromecastI can see the app’s quality is improving with new updates but I’m always facing a problem when trying to chromecast, because the button sometimes simply won’t show up! While my phone is connected to the TV and I can cast all other streaming apps o have on my phone, prime video is the only one I have to spend half an hour trying to make it work! So I would recommend either adding a permanent casting button or at least adding another fixed one in the setting, because when the first doesn’t show up you can at least trying to connect the app to the device going to the setting and then making the app work again. Prime is the best thing that ever happenedI wonder why everyone has bad ratings for prime, I wanted to download prime for myself and I love it! It’s so great. Ok but some issues need to be fixedEnjoy some of what prime offers but it’s not my go-to streaming app as there’s just too many others out there with more content. A couple of things that I dislike about this app is the forward and rewind functions (instead of just forwarding or rewinding, it tells you you have to hold to forward or rewind and takes a few second before it actually does it, whereas other apps just forward and rewind right away). The other thing is it doesn’t always go to where you last left off. Finally, my biggest complaint is that I started to watch more foreign shows, particularly Chinese drama, and problems I’ve noted include audio and video not syncing, and the audio will go out completely in parts of the show. Great app. Only one small issue...I found that if I pause what I’m playing on the app only a minute later it will totally close whatever it is I’m playing. I have an iPhone so other media apps will linger in the background so that if I pause for a moment I can come right back to it where I left off without having to reopen the app and press “play” again. Also I can’t make it a background window on my phone without full screening it first which is another thing other media apps do right away which is odd. Worst app &&^ customer serviceI’m very disappointed in this app and customer service I was trying to figure out why I wasn’t able to watch movies when i paid for the subscription about 2 weeks ago and I literally had 2 more weeks until I have to pay for it again and I used my email to login even my number was on there to verify it was me so when I was trying to watch a movie and I couldn’t I called customer service for help to see why it wasn’t working. I been on the phone with them for almost an hour trying to figure this out and I told them my number and email and he tells me “ someone is using your number” how?! He explains why but then again trying to understand how?! it doesn’t make any sense when I used both. All I wanted is to get it resolved so I don’t waste anymore time just trying to watch movie with my nephews since this is my only day off instead having to do that I been on customer service upset bc I had to repeat what I said over and over again the guy wasn’t understanding me or wasn’t listening he told me to look for order number and other stuff and I gave it to him still couldn’t find my prime account and then I had to give him my last 4 digits to my credit card still nothing so at that point I gave up bc this app shouldn’t be this hard to get into when I paid for the subscription and I put my information in and when I asked for manager he was being rude and saying he is one but at the same time you couldn’t help me you couldn’t find my information at that point I was really done. Ads and crappy interfaceI used to love this app because it didn’t make me watch ads. However, it seems like there is a minute long ad every five minutes. I truly cannot understand why they would make this a feature. Jeff Bezos is one of the richest men alive and there is absolutely no need for him to generate revenue by giving viewers 2 unskippable ads to watch every 5 minutes. On top of this, the app can’t seem to remember what points I left off on a movie/episode of a tv show. I will be half way through the episode and close out the app to do something else, just to open the app back up to see that it restarted the entire episode or even start me on a completely different episode than the one I was watching. It will play another minute long ad before starting the episode, and once I fast forward to where I left off in the episode (because the app won’t remember where I actually left off in the episode), it will play another 2 ads which are each 30 seconds long. If I rewind ten seconds after picking up the episode from where I left off, it will play ANOTHER 2 ads that are 30 seconds long each and unskippable. It’s not the ads that really frustrate me either, it’s the fact that I ALREADY pay for prime and yet they still have the audacity to make me watch ads or force me to pay more in order to not have ads. The app has truly gone downhill in such a small timeframe. Please fix this and make this app what it used to be. 9/2/25 Most recent update IS HORRIBLEWhere do I even begin? 1 star alone just for the newest “updated” version of this app. This part of the update really focuses on once you are viewing the content, that screen. Otherwise, the app looks the same from previous updates. The time viewed/time left is gone, you can only tell how far you are in the show or movie by using your finger and trying to go backwards or forwards. The updated “trivia” “cast” is harder to find. Speaking of, it’s also in bolder and larger font that is quite distracting. I liked in the previous versions the boxes were separated between each cast member, trivia, in scene, etc. i They took the boxed thing away, if that even makes sense, and it just looks clunky. The font is also in a grey color so it’s harder to read the cast’s titles/works. The font overall just seems to large, so much so it messes with the aesthetics of the app. Last but not least, it’s much harder to skip or go back. You have to really press your finger to go back or go forward now. This version seems awfully clunky yet in such big font but with dull font colors you can barely make out. Why won’t it let me purchase a subscription?The movies and tv shows on this app are great, as someone who loves to watch tv. But I am giving it 2 stars because for some reason, it won’t let me buy peacock premium plus. All I wanted to do was watch hunger games, and a few other movies, but apparently the app needs access to your email to make a purchase. So I had to go through a million verification steps to add my email, and then I had to go through even more verification steps to change my password, and then I had to go through all of the verification again. I tried to purchase peacock premium plus again, and I actually made it to the next step. So then I choose my payment method, and clicked purchase, and it said there was I sign up problem. I’m just so confused as to what the problem could be. I am signed into this app. What more do you want from me? 9.24 added bugs!Purchased a lot of movies. The app still recognizes the purchase but My Stuff/Purchases will only display 20 titles. Resorting from recent to A-Z or Z-A will display a different set but again limited to 20. Whoever thought that limiting purchase display list to 20 instead of being able to scroll though all purchases should be fired for incompetence. Tried to report but it sends you to a chat feature. After being bounced to several people, I got the standard uninstall and reinstall the app and restart ipad. Neither worked. Tried to report again and once more bounced to several different people in chat. They seem to be unwilling to report as a new bug when they fail to solve the issue. Subtitles are awful. out of sync and often wrong.They are constantly out of sync and sometimes even blatantly incorrectly captioning, especially for animated shows that aren't in english but i find it goes for almost anything. it's never something that can be solved by restarting or anything. it's consistent even on TV and the website, so this clearly isnt a hardware issue for me. i have thoroughly checked every support page that describes a similar issue and none of those solutions seem to do anything. they're really just set up in a way that is completely unsynced to shows. the translations also end up really wonky sometimes. ive had it translating phrases or names incorrectly, spelling incorrectly, having extremely bad grammar where its almost incomprehensible, or deciding to caption a noise as a word. i honestly don't understand why either of these things is the case. my guess is that the subtitles are no longer handled by actual people and instead machine generated. this is a huge problem though, because even if you do speak the language of your selected show, the captions aren't just there for you to understand. they're also there for consumers who are hard of hearing, deaf, or may otherwise have a condition that requires text. this is a serious inaccessibility issue. you cant be cheap with subtitles like this. especially when its so out of sync and sometimes incomprehensible. it renders subtitles entirely useless. i guess a giant company wouldnt care about this though. i dont know why i bother writing such a review..LeggbitrVersion: 10.41

Stop making the app worse!It’s amazing to me how the last few updates have transformed this from being a really solid five star app to deserving less than one star. I gave it two out of loyalty. In the past, you could see the upcoming episodes under the one you were watching, like every other video streaming app. They changed that. In the past, when you were watching a series, the app saved your progress, but now it only does so every so often. Can’t perform its basic functionsPrime Video is terrible as a streaming service. Your account doesn’t sync, so if you watch something on your phone and try to continue on your tv, it has no memory of it and you have to go searching for your show again and find where you were. If you stop a show with less than five minutes left and then come back, it’s gone on to the next episode automatically even though you didn’t finish the last one. Takes too long to switch devicesI love being able to watch shows and the low movie rental prices. Right now, it's screwed up.After years of working like a charm, recently this app went haywire. Cons: -Rewinding anything is a freaking chore. -While casting you can only rewind in 10 second increments which takes about another 10 seconds to load, and another 5 for you to be able to rewind again (so really you’re only rewinding in 5 second increments). -The subtitles are substantially flawed. They’re constantly misspelling words or just putting the wrong word in general. I was watching a John Wayne Gacy documentary, and it kept reading as “John Wayne KC” it’s super frustrating. That’s just one example of the insane amount of issues. They’re is also little to no punctuation, and half of one person’s sentence will pop up on the other person’s sentence when they reply. I have small kids so I have to keep my volume very quiet during mornings/nights, so I rely on those subtitles for things I can’t quite hear. Oops another garbage serviceThere are probably only 10 good shows (2-3 great ones) featured through this entire app, and that is a generous number. It is disappointing to know that some of these shows that were actually worth watching will inevitably get cancelled because someone thought it would be a good idea to bring back the same amount of ads as you get on free content streaming services. 90% of the content is behind different additional paywalls, and the little that is not is badly cut up with ad placement. I just moved from one room to another, and so I had to temporarily close my iPad and open it again when I changed the room, this took less than 5 minutes. Once I opened the screen again, the video had closed and when I reloaded into the show I was watching (less than 10 minutes of the episode left), I was forced to rewatch the ads I had already watched. It started the episode again, and not 1 minute into the episode, I got the second set of ads that I had already watched for that episode. Tubi, Peacock, and Gem if I remember correctly are the titles of different apps with the exact same ad placement but they are completely free to use. They have also even begun creation of their own content, wild that they started free with ads and are now creating their own stuff, instead of adding ads after already being successful. There have been ads for a while but you could just skip them, now, the ads cannot be skipped. FeedbackDownloading sucks and takes way too long, even if it’s the smallest size. If I try to download an episode and watch one at the same time, that could be quite interminable, rest assured my Internet was not the issue, also why is every season shown separately on the home screen if I’m watching the same show? that’s dumb, there should only be one icon to tap and from it I can access all the seasons and it should automatically take me to the current season and current episode, having all that clutter is annoying. I do not find the layout user-friendly, especially if I’m trying to jump back-and-forth between downloading and picking episodes, and by the way your music app has barely any music.
