THE HVAC SIMULATION LAB

The Lab is the heart of the app. Four animated simulators that respond instantly to your inputs:

→ AHU Simulator. A single-zone air handler with animated airflow particles, a spinning supply fan, modulating outdoor and return air dampers, and a color-changing coil. Drag sliders to change outdoor temperature, zone setpoint, and OA damper position. Watch a virtual zone thermostat track to your supply air temperature in real time.

→ Refrigeration Cycle. The R-410A vapor-compression cycle plotted on a P-h diagram with the saturation dome, four state points, and an animated traveling marker showing direction. Adjust evaporator and condenser saturation temperatures, superheat, and subcooling and watch the cycle re-form. Live readouts of refrigeration effect, compressor work, COP, and EER.

→ Psychrometric Chart. A full chart with relative humidity curves, dry-bulb grid, and a live state point. Plot inlet conditions, set a coil exit temperature, and watch the cooling/dehumidification process line draw itself. Live readouts of humidity ratio, dewpoint, and enthalpy.

→ Chiller Plant. Two 60-ton chillers staging on demand, a cooling tower with falling-water particles and a spinning fan, two condenser-water pumps with rotating impellers, and animated chilled-water and condenser-water pipe flow. Move the building load slider and see staging respond.
