Macanan is a kid-friendly version of the Indonesian (Javanese) tiger-and-goats hunt board game
(macan-macanan). Two tigers hunt a herd of twenty goats on a "two mountains and a village" board, and
the two sides play completely differently.
How to play
- The goats are placed first, one at a time; then both sides move one step along the lines.
- A tiger captures by jumping over a goat into the empty space beyond it.
- Tigers win by capturing five goats.
- Goats win by surrounding both tigers so neither can move.
A real game of strategy
- Plan ahead, control space, and read your opponent.
- 1 or 2 players: pass-and-play on one device, or play against the computer at three difficulty levels.
- Kid mode adds helpful hints and large, easy controls.
- 11 languages, with right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu.
