Wer kein Problem damit hat englische Artikel zu lesen, kommt überhaupt nicht um The Athletic herum! Neuerdings auch mit ausgeweiteter Berichterstattung über die Bundesliga.

Kann ich nur empfehlen! 👍 wer sich für amerikanischen Sport interessiert ist bestens aufgehoben! Die Artikel sind einfach Klasse und lesenswert!

Lohnt sich vor allem für Nfl, Premier League und Internationale Tuniere. Bundesliga ist okay abgedeckt.

In einer App, mit der das Lesen Spaß macht.

I used the Athletic for a year. There is some really great content in the app. But I don’t think it’s compelling enough to pay for again. I’m happy with The Guardian etc.

Achtung, nach 5 Testtagen hat man direkt ein Jahresabo an der Backe obwohl auch monatliche Abos möglich wären !!

The app is too slow. This means that you have to wipe down quite often to get new articles. Apart from this, the whole customization does not really work as you see articles you are not interested in and do not see the articles, you would like to see. UI is not intuitive.

I love The Athletics prose and content but why an app in 2023 still refuses to swipe right if I want to leave an article and return to the previous screen is a mystery to me. Mobile first, please.

It’s a solid app in general. Only the widget stopped updating for weeks now. Tried reinstalling already but still not working.

NYT said I could use The Athletic for free for 3 weeks but I‘ve access to the beginnings of articles only. That’s completely useless and reveals no quality at all.

Signed up for the sub for a year. Never worked. Support never wrote back. Paid and no service. Horrible product. Avoid.

Wont keep me logged in and always changes my favourited teams and leagues.

Made it a worse experience. Will end my sub.

The Athletic is here to stay. Clearly they are recruiting all the right people, putting out great basketball and football ⚽️ podcasts. Funnily enough I am not convinced yet why I have to pay for it other than to support the cause. The app is annoying, I prefer to listen to podcasts on apple or Spotify (even with more ads), I don’t read many of the stories.. The iPad app in Germany shows up in french and I can’t change the language. Seems like the app is due for a huge review soon.
