Financial Times: Business News Kundenservice

The app looks good and is easy to use. It loads fast. Best of all is the content: I have come to the FT fairly recently and am consistently impressed by the excellent news coverage and analysis, and especially the well written and insightful columns. Though a „business“ paper, the coverage is objective, enlightened and considers all sides on the issues. Unlike the WSJ, the FT is not dogmatic, predictably „let‘s cut taxes and leave all the decisions“ to big business on every issue, or preachy: It treats the readers like they can also think for themselves.

Easy to navigate app, the only substantial drawback is that while playing a podcast, as soon as my iPad goes into a a sleep mode due to auto lock, the podcast stops playing. There’s a basic play-button menu displayed on the locked screen but unfortunately not working - the podcast can not be restarted / continued to play in this way.

Sadly I can’t afford the subscription any longer. I really appreciate that the FT has decided to make the Corona articles free to as a service to the community. It is one of the last remaining news sources without political influence. Good for you and good for us all..!!

Its a job to read the FT everyday. The app is easy to use and offers in depth information of top quality.

Good app overall. But reading progress is not guaranteed to be saved when changing apps, which is extremely inconvenient.

Great function fo offline read entire paper on the go. And of course great content.

The app seems to be always countering towards screen time even if it isn’t opened. My screen time shows 14 hours a day for the app.

Best newspaper in the world. Still. The app is surprisingly sleek and easy to use too.

Excellent publication, shoulders above the rest

The new App is very good, combining information oversight and the possibility to deeper reading. Also reopens for me a more random access to topics.

No-nonsense app that matches the FT‘s journalism.

First: It‘s good journalism. Period. The app is no-nonsense, ads are not disturbingly prominent and navigation is easy. Two issues I have that prevent the five-star-verdict: Headlines could be a bit more prominent (they used to be but the FT changed that) and if you go into the tabs (e.g. „TECH“ in companies) and read an article then go back you do not return to where you started but have to navigate to TECH again. But this is really minor.

Financial Times clearly has the best app ( saves reading preferences and converts them to suggested articles to read, add to my favourites) easy to use @FinancialTimes

Erstklassige Website, drittklassiges App. Schade.

This is not a comment about the content (I have a digital subscription with the FT - the articles are very good). But the app is really bad. It is basically the website in their own browser. Just worse. The navigation is a nightmare. Finding sections is everything but intuitive. Then, because it is a website, they use an enormous amount of trackers and other stuff I don’t like. You cannot easily switch font(size), background colour, etc. They offer a „night mode“ in experimental settings, that’s it. But the worst is all the ads breaking up the text. Not like in other newspaper apps where you get a page you just swipe away. Basically, I avoid the app and open the website in safari to use its reading mode. If your (bad) website beats your app, you failed your job.

A long time FT reader, I use the app daily. With the latest update it is nigh impossible to find content other than the headlines. Try to find for example stories under World from Asia or LAC. No longer visible! This makeover hasn’t been thought through. It makes me reconsider my €350 subscription

The new design for the iPhone and iPad apps is not suitable for smaller screens. It looks terrible! You now literally need to seriously scroll a lot to go to the different articles. No one needs a lot of empty spaces and very large pictures on these devices. You had a very good design before! Better to open it on safari, but you can’t download the newspaper as in the app.

Overall good app, but unfortunately comments are disable way too often by now. Either the FT is trying to cut cost by lowering quality or actively censoring. Neither one particularly good…

Hi, I am deeply dissatisfied with the 2 tier system whereby even a paying subscription is not granting access to all content. It’s not good practice and I will cancel my membership as soon as I approach the end of the term.

The app doesn’t work for people with institutional access

2022 and you have to activate and deactivate the Darkmode every day in experimental menu

I terminated my sub

Switched back to the browser version for that reason.

Please have a better layout and a widget support!

That‘s a no-go for me. Please offer Apple subscriptions.
