Koala Sampler • Beat Maker Kundenservice

So viel Spaß hatte ich lange nicht mehr mit digitaler Musik. Überragend simpel designed, robustes Featureset (sehr gutes FX-Board, einfacher aber intuitiver EQ, genau die richtigen Regler für die einzelnen Samples, Samplen aus Videos und sogar Bildschirmaufnahmen möglich und und und), Midi Controller kompatibel mit super simplem Mapping (Pads für die Samples, Keyboard fürs live Spielen, Drehregler für FX, alles geht), Anlegen einer Sample Library und Export problemlos möglich … und alles über größtenteils selbsterklärende Touchsteuerung, für die man maximal die paar 5-10min langen YouTube-Tutorials vom Entwickler zum Verstehen braucht. Es gibt noch einiges an Potential für zusätzliche Features, auf die man bei den relativ regelmäßigen Updates auch hoffen daff, denke ich, aber schon in der aktuellen Version ist das hier mit das Beste, das ich fürs iPad in Sachen Musik ausprobiert habe, sowohl zum Jammen als auch als Teil eines Workflows für tatsächliche Production. Tiptop!

Diese App ist ein Biest von einem Schnäppchen und hatte bis vor kurzem dem Roland SP sogar einiges voraus. Von Flying Lotus benutzt und empfohlen - das ist allein schon Grund genug nicht zu zögern. Ansonsten kann ich mich dem Kommentar vor mir nur anschließen. Jedes Update ist fantastisch und vor allem durch den Input der Community jedes Mal wirklich sinnvoll und hilfreich. Marek - der Entwickler - hält Kontakt zu den Nutzer*innen und baut Wünsche ein. Da reichen fünf Sterne als Bewertung bei weitem nicht aus!

Von den Funktionen her für reine iPad Nutzung echt super. Professioneller Einsatz mit Einschränkungen. Zwar lässt sich z.B. das Audiointerface Tascam iXR als externer Eingang nutzen, jedoch geht die MIDI Implementierung nicht über das Triggern der Samples hinaus. Wenn hier mit einem Update eine MIDI Learn für die Steuerelemente implementiert würde, ließe sich die App in Verbindung mit einen externen Controller als prima Ersatz für einen Hardware-Sampler auch im Studio nutzen. Aber, das ist schon jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Nur eine Funktion vermisse ich: dass man die Pads nach dem recorded für weitere Bearbeitung sperren kann. Z.b wenn kleine Kinder samples aufnehmen passiert es leicht, dass die Pads nicht angetippt sondern gezogen/ gewischt werden.

Dieser Sampler ermöglicht es jedem - vom Anfänger bis zum Fortgeschrittenen - seine musikalischen Ideen festzuhalten oder sich einfach nur kreativ auszutoben. Obwohl Koala eine Menge Features bereithält, ist es zugleich einfach und intuitiv in seiner Verwendung. Die Tatsache, dass man das alles für einmalige ca. 10 € (inkl. Updates) erhält, setzt dem Ganzen noch die Krone auf!!!

Wer gerne mit Samples spielt findet hier eine wirklich geniale App. Super einfache Bedienung, schneller Workflow. Wirklich genial und wird auch mit regelmäßigen Updates gut gepflegt. Ich habe leider viel zu viele Musik-Apps. Koala Sampler ist die beste!!!

Die App ist einfach mega spaßig und durch die ableton link Funktion auch wirklich brauchbar...so lassen sich unterwegs auch kreative Momente gekonnt einfangen...ich würde mir jedoch einen repeater wünschen, der wie bei der Maschine App das sample von jedem 1/4 Schlag bis hin zum 1/32 wiederholt :)

Mache viel Musik auf PC, mit Hardware Synths und auf dem IPad. Koala ist der Kracher. Einfach, intuitiv und extrem schnell. Spaßfaktor extrem.

Unglaublich gut. Perfektes Mass an Limitierung und Möglichkeiten, und extrem innovativer Workflow. Edit: Ein Playbutton auf der Sample Edit Seite wäre praktisch, damit man beim Resamplen nicht immer in den Sequenzertab wechseln muss. Aber nicht dramatisch :)

Ich bin eigentlich eher der DAW-Typ, aber Koala hat mich schon immer gereizt und deshalb hab ich ihn mir dann noch mal geholt und bin begeistert! Bin dann gleich durch die Küche gerannt und hab alles mögliche gesampelt und tolle Ergebnisse erzielt. Koala mach mega Spaß und ist vom handling her praktisch und übersichtlich!

Ich hab selten so viel Freude am rumexperimentieren gehabt. Warum? Weil die App so einfach zu bedienen ist, dass sie dem Spass an der Musik nicht im Wege steht. Mega! Ohne Abo, ohne Firlefanz für den Preis eines Kaffees bei Starbucks. Bester Kauf seit Langem 😁👍

….. wäre dies der erste von den ganzen anderen gewesen…. Ich hätte viel Zeit Geld und Unmut verhindern können. Nach nur 10 Minuten Koala musste ich die zusätzlichen Inhalte freischalten!!!! Das mache ich sonst eher nicht bis selten. Das UI ist sehr intuitiv, die Möglichkeiten der Einbindung in mein setup (sowohl im Schlafzimmerstudio als auch mobil) funktioniert tadellos und der Funktionsumfang ist ordentlich. Im und Export von samples sowie deren Aufnahme über iPhones internes Mikro sowohl auch über angeschlossene Audioquellen …. Alles top 👍👍👍 Die App macht Spaß! Egal ob Profi Hobby oder Anfänger daran hat jeder Freude da bin ich mir sicher. Sogar mein 2 jähriger liebt das samplen :D Man kann sehr schnell damit arbeiten oder sich in detailverliebtem experimentieren üben. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung meinerseits ! Fantastischer Sampler, intuitiv zu bedienen und mit allen möglichen Export und Importmöglichkeiten. Für jeden Musiker ein Muss auf dem Smartphone/Tablet!

Alles an Lob wurde schon gesagt, da schließe ich mich an. Was ich mir noch wünsche: - Ordnerstruktur beim Laden von Projekten, die dann quasi die Struktur aus dem „Songs“ Ordner in der Dateien-App widerspiegelt

Prinzipiell spaßiges Gadget. Mir fehlt allerdings ein Schalter, der bei externer Triggerung der Samples die automatische Anwahl der jeweiligen Note ausstellt. Würde mich freuen, wenn das in einem zeitnahen Update berücksichtigt wird :)

Seitdem IOS 14.5 Update funktioniert Ableton link nicht mehr. Bitte um Behebung des Problems. Ansonsten ist die App perfekt und macht Laune 👌🏻🎶

Hab aus der Historie noch die Maschine App.. und Fruity hab hab ich mal probiert.. Endlich mal Entwickler die wissen was ne App und Haptik gemein haben .. funktional top top.. sample cutten und Loopen aus dem Fingergelenk :) 👍

Ich hab mir die App aus Neugier gekauft. Hab echt schon sehr viele und sehr gute, auch mit mehr Funktionsumfang und Möglichkeiten. Aber ich muss sagen: Koala macht einfach Spaß und zwar so richtig. Aufs wesentliche beschränkt, alles durchdacht, aber auch solche Highlights wie Video zu Audio, super cool oder Stems (Schlagzeug oder Gesang aus Audiodateien herausfiltern) ... Klare Empfehlung Top Top Top, kein Spielzeug, ernsthafte Sache spielerisch durchdacht...

Beste App ever! Los jammen wo immer es geht....leicht verständlich und vor allem ein super workflow!Love it! Support ist auch super hilfsbereit.

Super leicht zu bedienen, trotzdem mächtig! Macht sehr viel Spaß, das hätte ich gerne vor 10 Jahre schon gehabt…

Super flexibles Tool und on the top, kann man Koala auch als Looper in AUM oder Drumbo einsetzten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!

…mit LFOs und Send-FX wäre es noch nicer. Im Moment sieht es aber so aus, dass mich der Koala vor der teuren Anschaffung einer Blackbox beschützt. Darüber hinaus ist die App ein guter Zusatz zur Digitakt. Top!

Koala Sampler ist wirklich sehr cool

It sounds really warm and analogy, even with basic included samples you can sculpt interesting sounding groves and sonic scapes. UI is pretty much self-explanatory, with very few interactions it's possible to achieve interesting results, thanks to the performance effects on hold, which add this warm analogy dirt and micro-irregularities. Didn’t play much with recording, need some kind of pedal hooked up, in order to record guitar etc. Didn’t try Samuray add-on, having access to the sequencer would be cool. What I really would like to see in future updates of Koala are separate channels, or smth allowing you to control which sample channels go to the performance FX and which don't.

I have been searching for exactly this for a long time. Whoever made this is a FK LEGEND! A truly inspirationial tool that thrives creativity. Simple and straight to the point. This is like a dream coming true. I hope it will only get carefully extended with features, that the current UX principles always remain in place. Create yourself a nice workflow to import your own samples into the app and get blown away by the strength and simplicity of this tool. If the Perform section would go more into the direction of the Ableton Session View, this app would be absolutely perfect. But the creator is already the absolute GOAT! 🎶🐐

The simple truth is: this is the best, most intuitive, most fun, best maintained and updated app to make sample based music! Marek keeps on giving and I am happy to pay every once in a while for awesome new features. This is for me the best software model. The developer adds new paid features, but the user can decide if he needs them and there are still free regular updates. Thank you Marek! (didn’t mean to sound like a paid review…)

I own pretty much all (relevant!) iOS music apps — and there‘s some GREAT apps to be had…but none of them engage me as fluidly, quickly and creatively as the Koala app. This is basically an SP404mk2 with evolved features and a MUCH better sequencer. I own the SP404mk2 as well, but somehow still come back to this app more than the hardware itself - it‘s that good. Also love how the app has evolved over the years and seems to keep evolving. 10/10

Koala Sampler is fantastic! As a standalone app it‘s easy to use and full of great features. And as a friend for the SP-404 MK2 it‘s amazing! Use Koala to separate stems and export them directly through the app to the SP! All the extra in-app purchases like Samurai are a must-have! Support the developer as he really listens to what the community wants and implements those features! Looking forward to what future developments will bring! 🐨

This software is awesome for sampling and making beats! like the best one. unfortunately it falls short when it comes to song building and arrangements. I really wish there was an option to play multiple sequences at once by toggling them (similar to Launchpad for example) or another tracker-like arrangement layer but right now you have to bake your beats and instruments into samples to create more complex arrangements, which is very annoying. Otherwise a a perfect app. Worth the money!

I love this app! While I was watching the episode about sampling from Mark Ronsons documentary „Watch the sound“ I searched for a sampling tool on AppStore. I came to Koala sampler and can’t stop placing around with it. From our cats to my electric toothbrush: everything gets sampled at the moment. Great intuitive interface, lots of powerful features. Fast and Kind support. Awesome! Thank you for building this!

... no landscape format for iPads. This app could be definitely more than a toy for me if I could use it within my live-ambient setup. But obviously I cannot turn the wired iPads on stage just for being able to use Koala properly. There is a dedicated iPad version for this app (not just for iPhone) so it really should support the landscape format! 5 stars if it does. EDIT: super! landscape for ipad now. thanx a lot!

Awesome app with an unbeatable price point. Absolute recommendation. Developers actually reacts to contacting him and constantly improves the app. Awesome replacement for a SP-404. On my wishlist would be some improvements for MIDI-connected devices so that the app shows a value when changing pitch, filter or other effects assigned to MIDI-knobs.

My favourite app for songwriting and performing with my own samples. I wish odd meters were supported, though - 4/4 only is unnecessarily limiting. Being able to freely choose a meter x/y would make the app perfect.

Koala Sampler is great, no doubt about it! But it won‘t let me change Midi notes on the piano roll. All I see is a gray wall where the grid and notes should be. I‘m using an iPad 9th gen and bought all the upgrades of the App.

The ability to record while playing is very helpful. Also you don’t n’t need to worry too much about getting your levels right, so it’s a real instrument rather than unfun DAW.

This is the best app for making music in iOS. Koala is a joy to work with and hands down one of my top5 sampler tools of both, hardware and software.

This is such a terrific app! Everything is so clear and intuitive. I would love to see one make the leap to a DAW one day. But what else I would like to see in the future: -FX for individual samples next to the master FX. -Name sequences -Fade in and fade out of samples -chain sequences together similar to pattern chaining in the PO But all in all a well done app, worth every cent - even for the Samurai Edition. Thanks for this!

Seems like I don’t really need Laptop anymore. Hooray for devs, great job!

Please, make it to a complete DAW. Effects pro Pad, silence and cut between start and end point to edit samples. And a non destructive pattern chain as song mode. That‘s all! Very, very Good work!

Greatest App for Beatmaking - only thing is missing for my opinion: Play/Start similar to an MPC... An Emulation of the SP 303 Vinyl Sim Comp would also be dope ;-)

Der Help-Link führt ins Leere, nicht sehr professionell... Außerdem ist die App nicht gut an iOS angepasst, das Menü am oberen Rand wird teilweise durch die Notch am iPhone 13 Pro verdeckt.

Stürzt nach dem Start auf dem iPhone sofort ab. Funktioniert also nicht.

There is a small bug. Songs can no longer be imported into other apps or sent there. If you try to do this, nothing happens and the recorded song is gone.
