CA CDL GENIE USER.I purchased a well known book from Barnes&Noble and ended up finding more than one mistake and incorrect answer from their “correct answer key”. Then, instead of continuing with the book, I used this app casually for two weeks and I ended up passing 6 tests in one day on my first try. The mandatory 3: general knowledge, air brakes, and combination vehicles tests. Plus, because I was well prepared, I ended up taking 3 endorsement tests on the same day: tankers, doubles/triples, and hazmat. I did purchase the full version of the CDL GENIE but I still saved money because whatever endorsement tests you take when you get your permit and you pay for you CA CDL, the usual cost of the endorsements are included free in the regular base CDL license fee of $78. Meaning, If I went back to the dmv after I got my license, it would’ve cost me $46 extra to get my endorsements added on. It is well worth it to use the CDL GENIE..B SkinnerVersion: 5.4

I like it, but no device sync.I have been using this app for about a week. I will be taking my CDL permit written test tomorrow, and will update with the results and how they compare to this prep app. I will say that I do like how this app is structured for the most part. However I am disappointed that there is no way for the test thing to synchronize across multiple devices. For example I have this app on both my iPhone and my iPad and it would be nice for my progress to update across both devices as are use which ever is most convenient for me at any given moment. The fact that they do not synchronize means my phone on my iPad do not know the progress of my prep work on the other, which is extremely annoying. UPDATE: So I used this app to study for my CDL, B, P Air Brakes permit for Michigan. I passed all 3 tests on the first try. And I scored 100% on the Brakes and Passenger endorsement tests. I’ll agree that MOST of the practice questions (I’ll call it 95+%) were EXACTLY the questions on the test at the SOS office. There was a small number of questions on my actual General Knowledge test that I was seeing for the first time while testing. (I got 6 wrong out of the allowable 10, and the test still ended automatically once I had 40 correct of 50). So, was it worth $15? To me, yes. Absolutely. It is VERY MUCH “teaching the test” as an approach, which, philosophically, may not be ideal for actually learning all the concepts and such. But that’s what the state manual is for. I took ALL the practice tests, answering all the challenge bank questions between them. I did this until I passed them all. I took all of the mock exams, passed them all. CDL Test PrepAlthough the videos are very long and a little mundane, this is an excellent and organized CDL prep course. Most of the information in the videos and the test questions that reflect what’s in the handbook, HOWEVER, there is a lot of information that you will not learn in reading the CDL handbook alone. I love how it offers not only knowledge tests, but prep for endorsements too! I also love the multiple-choice simulation and how an explanation is provided for the correct answer-choice. One suggestion to improve the app would be to incorporate live, realistic videos that demonstrate the entire pre-trip inspection, simulation of the skills and road test, and the different parts of the tractor and trailer components (I.e., air brake system, engine compartment, etc.), because reading alone is not enough to comprehend and remember all those complex systems. I believe that hands-on practice is the best way to remember most of this material. Just like the testUsed this app for two weeks to study for my CLP exam. The questions and multiple choice answers were pretty much identical to the ones on the South Carolina exam. I only came across one question while taking all exams which I don’t recall seeing on the app. Passed general knowledge, air brakes, combinations, hazmat, and tanker with flying colors. Between all exams I only missed two questions. This app allows you to set your state so it tailors your study plan accordingly and gives you a PDF version of your states CDL manual. Also this app provides you with ELDT certification for Class-A and Hazmat upon completion of the practice exams. The certifications were reported immediately to the FMCSA when I completed the required courses on the app which I was able to verify through DOT online. I've never paid for an appI was hesitant about paying this much for an app, but after doing the tests several times in order to prepare myself I can honestly say I feel pretty good about the $15 I paid for the app. If there is a better/cheaper app out there that is as helpful and accurate I'd be impressed. Bottom line is this app will definitely absolutely 100% guarantee you will pass the written test. If you pass the tests on the app you WILL pass the test at the mvd/dmv. Just pay attention to wording on the actual test because some of the questions were similar, but worded differently. If your state allows, use the "skip" feature on the test if you're not 110% sure of an answer. Answer the questions you are 110% sure of first and you might not have to answer the questionable ones. Best CDL Prep tool available!I downloaded this app after a colleague recommended it. I also paid for the subscription because it gives you all the content and I could cancel it after I passed the test. It was well worth it. The app is great, streamlined, attractive and simple to navigate. The information is spot on and tailored to your area. I spent about a month going through the different modules and answering questions, whenever I had a little down time I would use it. I learned a ton and it really helped me identify where I needed to study more. After about a month of use, I felt ready to take the exams at the DMV and easily passed. AccurateThis is no longer accurate as far as information on CDL TESTING in Texas. Testing questions seem to have been missed or reworded to a point that has confused students. As a Honors student from grade school thru college I even have difficulty receiving a passing grade. Texas believes we do not learn this information integrally, and believe we have answer sheets when we have only studied this program and it is now inaccurate. Testing questions seem to jump around. Not only testing one chapter. I actually do not like this one bit as I was working on my promotion and failed to receive that due to the results of a test I studied 3/4 months for. Very helpful!I used this app to study for my hazmat test in Washington State. Passed with a 100%, didn’t miss a question. This app is great because if you miss a question on the practice tests it explains the regulation so you know and understand it for next time you see that question. It’s way better than just reading the book in my opinion cause you probably already know most of the questions. Work for CA Class AThis was recommended by a friend who also just got his Class A license. I paid the $15 for the full version and studied for less than month, some days not as much as others. Once the app said I had a 100% chance of passing I went to the DMV and sure enough I passed. There were some questions in the General Knowledge that I did not see on the app but still only missed five questions, Air Brakes I missed one question but my mistake, and none missed on Combinations. Texas CDL-School BusPASSED EASILY Getting my Class B for driving a school bus (coach life). Tests studied for and my scores -general knowledge-88 -special requirements-90+ -air brakes-100 -school bus endorsement-90+ -passenger endorsement -90+ I don’t think there was a single question on the exams I hadn’t seen before. I did and redid all of the practice tests till I got green checks. I only got through half of the general knowledge on the app because I didn’t start studying early enough to go through it all. There are over 700 practice questions for general knowledge, but for the others there are under 200. Very manageable. I recommend looking at the most common questions PDFs too especially for general knowledge if you can’t get through all the practices for that section. Give yourself a couple weeks and just do 2-3 practices a day and you’ll be golden. Well worth the $$ for a 1 month subscription. Good study toolI took all the practice test that I needed for my cdl and endorsements. After reached 100% chance to pass the tests I went to the dmv the next morning. Awesome CDL test prep app...I decided to get my CDL to drive activity bus for my lacrosse teams to reduce transportation costs. I found this app after trying several other ones, and this was by far the easiest to understand and study with. I took the four required knowledge tests in my state today, and I passed all four easily. It works!!!!!I was so glad that someone at the permit prep course I went to recommended this app. I bought the premium version and spent about 3-4 days just taking all the practice tests that I needed for my permit, went in and passed my required tests the first time. North Carolina permitIn order to get you cdl permit you have to test for three tests. The three tests are general knowledge, air brakes , and combination vehicles. I took the combination vehicles and air brakes test passed both first try. I took the general knowledge test my first attempt at the dmv I got 33 correct and 11 incorrect I failed. The general knowledge test at the dmv i skipped 17 questions out of 50 having 33 correct those 17 questions I had left I failed 11 out 17 I skipped where not on the cdl test genie tests. Attempted to charge me before my free trail endedMy 3 day trail ends tomorrow but according to Apple my card has already attempted to be charged. They (this app) sent me a notification an hour ago saying my free trial ends tomorrow but when I go to look at the subscription under my subscriptions, it tells me that my payment was declined. So glad I used a pre paid card for this and not my real bank card. I would have been livid! Also, The app has way too much info about things that have nothing to do with the test you take at the DMV. At least for a class A. It should be more categories for you to pick exactly what you’re testing over. Some of us are new to this so we don’t know what we need to learn. The CDL prep app with the blue steering wheel is free and is specific to the basic test. Made 100s on all of my test the first time with that app. This app would have had me learning things I didn’t even need to know which is extremely overwhelming for some! I see comments saying if you study this for a week or 2 you will pass, me and several other classmates used the other app I mentioned and after studying for 2-3 hours, made perfect scores. Does not include many of the questions on testI studied throughly with this app for my cld with passenger endorsement in CA. I paid the extra money to access all the questions. I knew all 72 of the passenger endorsement questions by heart. I studied so hard, then out of the 20 questions on the passenger test there were 6 that were not on the app, and I don’t mean they were worded differently or that the answer was now in the question, they were questions asking for info that wasn’t in the app at all. This was a huge disappointment considering I spent hours studying with this app and had all the questions down. It’s better than nothing, but for there to be more then 25% (6 out of 20 questions) that the app didn’t prepare me for, when the app had 72 questions for me to spend my time learning in in excusable..Kd551131Version: 6.1.7

Good for testing, good luck cancelling.Test prep portion was great and would recommend, if it wasn’t for how deceptive and convoluted of a process they try to make cancelling the service once your done. Get ready for the same process as canceling a gym membership. No cancellation button on the app. You must google their policy which states that you have to email them directly with your request, your reason and your info.. they double charged me and I haven’t heard back from them. I’m going to have to cancel my card so they can’t continue to legally keep taking my money for something I don’t need.. it’s sad because this could be soo good but I guess greed is the ultimate goal for them..Scorpion224466Version: 6.1.3
