I love this app but some flawsI love how this app connects you with people . I’m new to the city so it’s helped me get out . I would suggest an update where you have a notifications tab . When I comment on someone’s post , I lose it with all the other comments people are leaving in the rooms ( in my Notification Center on my phone ) . So I always miss it . Secondly !! It’s confusing on my Notification Center with all the people commenting in different rooms , I know you can see the top room name however maybe we should be able to mute some rooms we want to be in but not care really about who’s commenting . Thirdly , I join alot of rooms. The new update for the rooms makes it overwhelming for me to stare at . I also liked how I could still see the rooms , even though the chats were open. I don’t like how it’s all separated . Anyways thank you!!.Version: 1.57.1

The New Bumble BFF?I regret jumping the gun and quickly migrating over from Bumble BFF. I liked the profile page a little better off the bat, but hate that filtering for friend matching is gone. Being able to filter by age, distance, and language was important to what I’m looking for in friends. I don’t have the time or patience to scroll through and do my own “filtering”. It’s also weird that I can make groups, don’t get a warning with how complex these groups are what with the different chats, and there is no way to find other groups. The notifications are already annoying or broken too; one of my previous matches also migrated and is the only person in my chat tab. So why is it that in the span of 30mins I’ve received 3 push notifications *while in the app* encouraging me to open the app because someone said hi? Having come from a full-fledged app, I am not interested in a project with less features than the one I was previously using..Version: 3.0.5

Not better, poor launch…but may have potentialI’ve already written a review and I’m pretty sure the developers deleted it. This app is NOT better than the OG BFF app from Bumble, and they made it worse. Instead of having prompts where you could express yourself with some minimal creativity, you now have prompts that you reply to with keywords, which I imagine, are used to power the algorithm that pairs people. They only recently introduced being able to filter by age and location, but they don’t seem to actually apply the filter. I’m still getting people from way too far away in my list. You can’t introduce yourself to people with a personal note - you can only “wave to them”, which is meaningless. I’ve also had people “wave to me” and instead of keeping their profiles pinned in my list, I immediately lost them when the list reloaded and have no way to get back in touch with them. So…great. You can’t search for groups, you can only join groups you find through peoples profiles or make one yourself. They basically made Bumble BFF worse, took away capabilities, did a poor launch and are now slowly introducing some capabilities back in. I hope in the future they will make this app actually usable. Some things I’d like to see at this point: - Search for groups to join - Search for people you’ve matched with - Add a note when you say hi yo someone so you can share what caught your interest in their profile. - Allow users to add custom responses to prompts and/or personalize their profiles more. - Allow people to filter based on keywords, and also filter based on gender and political and religious affiliation..Version: 3.0.7

Lots of ProblemsThe app can be a really great tool for making friends, but there are many issues. For starters, there is an issue with notifications where you won’t always be notified that someone has sent you a message, you’ll only get an occasional notification. I’m not sure if others experience this or not, but as a male, I am only seeing other males to potentially talk with and build friendships. Why the app prohibits males and females from becoming friends on their platform is beyond me. I also find that almost all men are of the LGBTQ. And as a man that likes men, I don’t really need or want this. I’m happy to make friends with anyone, I don’t know why this app has such a poor algorithm when really it should just show you anyone’s profile, not specific demographics. Being that there isn’t a filter beyond distance and age, the app shouldn’t be categorizing people and prohibiting people from connecting as it does..Version: 3.1.7

4 for potentialI love the app first and foremost, but it needs a little work, mostly regarding bugs. I’d suggest a few key things: Primarily: the chats often glitch on IOS where you have to close and reopen the app to see what you’ve sent or new chats. Very frustrating Secondarily: the side panel is a bit visually over stimulating. I preferred the visual conciseness of slack, perhaps you make it so that you have to swipe twice to see the main menu, which would give more room for the channel/side panel, does that make sense? Thirdly: this is small, but the capacity to change the color scheme on individuals phones, I’d like the freedom to choose which colors I see, as the color that the admin chooses might be distracting or visually displeasing. Lastly: the capacity to add new emojis such as in Slack, as well as, very importantly, a reactions tab, reactions don’t show up in activity like they do on slack. Very helpful, as they can communicate a lot without needing to actually reply/clutter threads, and without a place to See all the new reactions to my comments, I might miss important ones Overall, I appreciate this app and look forward to its further development :).Version: 1.16.2

Like itAs a group Owner, I should have the ability to edit or manage events created by other members when necessary - particularly in cases where a member deletes their account or an event needs to be recreated without losing the existing RSVP list. Enhanced moderator controls would also be valuable, such as access to a member activity or history log and visibility into situations where a member has blocked an admin I have. Currently, if a member removes an admin from their friends list, both parties are automatically blocked, which prevents admins from adding those members to private rooms when needed. It’s really weird. Additionally, the ability to archive old chats or forums would help reduce clutter but also allow you to backtrack on old convos if ever needed. It would also be helpful to support private events within the Events tab that require an invitation to RSVP, with configurable visibility (visible or hidden to non-invited members). Finally, if feasible, introducing chat rooms within forums would significantly improve engagement. Plus we can’t search groups anymore, would be great if that feature was added back..Version: 3.1.10

App has potential if more people joinThe app works pretty well for scrolling profiles for potential friends, but there aren’t a lot of options in my area. The old bumble BFF app had many more profiles. There were also more categories with normalized options for your bio, such as religion, objective, kids, etc. These would be great to use as potential filters, but it would definitely require a much bigger pool of people, considering I get very few results without them. Also, I think there may be something wrong with the geolocation or distance filter because I keep seeing people from an area 40+ miles away, even when my radius is set to far below that..Version: 3.1.1

Should call it downgrade instead of upgradeI used bumble BFF when it was not a separate from bumble dating. And honestly, I liked it better before. For a friend making app, it became very picture forwarded and it has very little space for writing, which I found it odd. Also, as a nonbinary person, I quickly realized that now the algorithm will only recommend to me other queer people. I am happy to connect with my fellow queer community. However, it largely reduced the amount of people I could share a connection with and I felt almost excluded because of my gender. I don’t necessarily have to share the same gender identity in order to be someone’s friend. Please consider give the option to choose who I want to be friends with back!.Version: 3.2.6

Needs improvementWhen someone initially says “hi”, there is no notification given, even when you are in the app. I have to click on a tiny hand in the upper right corner of one screen to find out people have said “hi” to me. This should be fixed. There should be an alert, even before you open the app. I’m not surprised people I said “hi” to aren’t responding. I also dont see a way to know how long it has been since someone has been active on the app. Maybe they aren’t using it anymore and I am reaching out to a void. There should also be a way to filter locations. I am not going to become friends with someone who is 50 miles away from me, and they shouldn’t waste their time reaching out to me either..Version: 3.1.13

Needs better filtersI understand the concept of not having a lot of filter options on an app like this so people will be more open, but the filters they do have are so much worse than they were on the old BFF app. Specifically, the distance filter. It generalizes distances into “close” “nearby” “far”, etc, but i don’t know what your definition of nearby is because i’m only getting matches an hour away from me and it’s incredibly frustrating. The control also presents itself like it is a slider but isn’t actually a spectrum, if i try to choose a distance between close and nearby it just jumps to the automatic distance considered to match each category. Incredibly annoying..Version: 3.1.11

Very iffyI love the idea of this app. I feel like its harder to meet new people in NYC. But this app has many downfalls. For example, anyone can sign up you never know if it’s a fake page or not. People can stand you up & you’ll just be there. I believe they should work on verifying accounts and put in a system showing who really meets up and doesn’t. I only had to app for 2 weeks and got stood up twice. I don’t mind if someone cancels but saying nothing at all is dangerous especially if I’m traveling to meet up or going to an event. Lastly, I have been able to meet cool girls and make friends. Just don’t download this app with expectations. You’ll probably eventually delete it or maybe make friends. 50/50..Version: 1.56.1

Needs more practical features backI like the updates to your profile and the look of it, but similar to what others are saying they have taken away practical features. We need the ability to set distance to see people, I’m not looking for friends an hour away…. Also let us filter by gender again please. Some people are comfortable with women, men, or all genders! Get rid of the “limit” on scrolling through people. I get maybe there is an intention of like focus on the connects you already made, but you shouldn’t be forced into that. It is really annoying. I then get told someone said hi, but I can see who because I’m “timed out” which doesn’t make sense. I don’t like that there is not a “swipe left” feature of some sort. If I don’t think I’m going to get along with someone, seeing them over and over again is not going to make me more likely to start a conversation with them. The groups feature confused me. There’s no way to find groups you’re interested in. Could be really cool but has some kinks they need to work out still!.Version: 3.0.6

App being mean for whatever reasonSooo it was going goood and everything on the app but then I just woke up and for some reason my account isn’t even working functionally to the point that I tried logging out because I couldn’t do anything and my chats were gone and couldn’t see any other people on there and now when I tried logging back in it keeps saying “something went wrong try again” and can’t access my own account? Like I literally made a friend on there and was planning to play games this weekend and this happened? Like what did I do? Or what’s going on with the app? Anyway tho it was fine yesterday and now this happens, like seriously?.Version: 3.1.7

Very revolutionary designThis app is organized really well. This feels like an underrated app and could be news worthy when there’s more publicity. But i prefer it low key 🙂.Version: 2.8.0

Perfect community customizingIts kinda like discord, but you can customize your server with different “channel types”. posts that run like twitter, a video chat room, or a chat room. it has a lot of potential to be the best place for creating groups and gathering people. excited to see where this app goes!.Version: 1.23.0
