There is no connection to a telephone number and no collection of user identification data. The TeleGuard-ID is your very personal identification number that you need in order to connect with your friends. Every TeleGuard user receives an ID number and a QR code, which can be sent out to get in touch with others.

All servers are located in the data centers in Switzerland. A complex encryption system is used for all transmitted data and absolutely no user data is stored on the servers. Everything is absolutely anonymous.

TeleGuard encrypts every message and voice call with the one of the best encryption algorithm currently available: SALSA 20. Since our servers are in Switzerland, we are not subject to the data protection laws of the EU / USA and do not have to pass on any data.
How is my privacy secured?
HTTPS, end-to-end encryption, deletion of messages from the server after reading. No user data, neither IP address nor other, is recorded or stored.

Very slow development..The company switched very fast to paid service whether it is the messenger or the email.. but as fast as they turned all their services into paid services as slow is the development.. no native iPad app 🤦♂️ after I received an response from them somewhere over I guess 18 months ago that it is in progress.. design is definitely a little bit outdated for 2025.. but overall i still use it along with Threema and signal.. messages are working fine.. I have a small bug with the emojis.. I would say maybe in the next update it should be solved.. but when is the next update...Version: 4.0.8
I like the privacy (and newest update)Love the privacy aspect. I wish there was a way when clicking links you could anonymously preview it like in the swisscows app. I wish we could customize what the screen looks like. A dark mode would be excellent. Maybe even different colors. — Update: There is now a dark mode! My eyes won’t be strained anymore and I’m really glad. There’s also these things called Clubs, which I’m sure is the reason the rating went from general use to 17+ only. I don’t really use the Clubs and they’re a nuisance to have, but I’m glad I can toggle them off. I still love this app..Version: 1.4.0
Great App with Room for Small ImprovementsThank you so much for the excellent Messenger app! It’s user-friendly, runs smoothly, and works great for communication. I’d like to suggest a couple of features that could make it even better: Please consider adding the ability to create polls in group chats — very useful for making group decisions. It would also be great to react to messages with emojis, such as 👍 👎 ♥️ 🤝 🤗. This would make conversations more expressive and engaging. Amazing app but needs minor fixingI think there should be an option inside the application to switch to bluetooth headphones or speakers but and it should completely automatically connect to device and do the switching process but there is no option and there is a hard and buggy process for that thanks continue the good work.Version: 4.0.2

Есть к чему стремитьсяМессенджер не сильно популярный, но несомненным плюсом является отсутствие необходимости использовать номера телефонов или электронную почту. Интерфейс у программы простой, но слишком примитивный, без анимаций, удобных жестов. На android отсутствуют по умолчанию уведомления 🔔. Сообщения удаляются из чата только вручную, КНОПКА ОЧИСТИТЬ ИСТОРИЮ НЕ УДАЛЯЕТ ИХ. В остальном все неплохо, аудио видео звонки работают (пока что). САМОЕ ГЛАВНОЕ ИМЕЙТЕ В ВИДУ ЧТО МЕССЕНДЖЕР С ЗАКРЫТЫМ ИСХОДНЫМ КОДОМ ПОЭТОМУ АВТОРУ МОЖНО ВЕРИТЬ ТОЛЬКО НА СЛОВО (в целом как и у остальных подобных приложений).Version: 4.0.8

Great foray into encrypted chat app but needs improvementsVoice call option does not seem to work. Call is initiated, ‘Connecting’ shows on the screen but never successfully connects. Notifications are also somewhat unreliable and very quiet. Would be nice to see some options to select alternate sounds. Hope development continues..Version: 1.5.1
