Ironhide games are the best but no flip side at all!I love every little bit of it but as far as I know the difficulty is, well, out of anything 10,3,20,100,1000 you name it, it’s always a doughnut and if you don’t know what I mean by that, I mean 0! All the levels in it are so easy for me and I never struggle on bosses no matter what! Plus, no flip side. After you beat the game it doesn’t show what happens after like is the dark lord, aka Vez’nan going to take over other dimensions with his Orc armie? I don’t know because it never shows that. And there is no sandbox mode where you can experiment with enemies to see if they can defeat your dark armie? And in sandbox in this game would have infinite gold and 20 lives and you pick where you will be in when you fight like the grand arena where you fight the bosses guy oh I forgot what he is called but you get what I mean. Please add that to future games and you should be able to have hero’s like Vez’nan in the game at some point like halfway through or a third of the way through whatever I don’t care when it is ( not at the end because then you know that you can defeat all the levels with out him and that just ruins the whole point of the hero(s) just so you know NOT to make that choice by putting a special hero at the end. Dec. 7th? DLC???WHERE IS THE DLC?! Tired of kingdom rush being complacent they need to take the Blooms Tower defense route asap, more endless levels, new characters and levels consistently, sandbox modes, build your own levels, community and multiplayer interactions and feedback. I would give them hundreds maybe even thousands if they followed the profitable and progressive model of building up the game after it’s been released for a more expansive experience. Been a fan since armor games and even slightly before. Favorite mobile gaming experience of all time, yet they lag with releases and don’t commit to what they’re best at…tower defense. It’s high time kingdom rush solidifies their spot in gaming and dominates the mobile and gaming community with a btd style competitor by providing a more consistent experience that one can come back to over and over again..forever. Having beat every game on every difficulty the replay-ability is limited I would love to indulge in Kingdom rush forever but because of their inability to have consistent releases, updates and innovations, I find myself going months without playing their games due to stagnation and boredom. The bugsThere are a bunch of bugs, and fixes you definitely should fix. First of, the elves. We get them at they end of the Game so I can tell why they are overpowered, but any level you play after that (the graveyard one is an exception) can get absolutely destroyed. I know this because I tried it on the new levels. And it makes me sad to see such well-crafted and thought out levels to be absolutely destroyed by a spam able unit. Also, the laser thing that you get from the ending of tower upgrades are a bit bugged. They will sometimes hit a unit, sometimes leave a unit alone. I don’t think this is a problem since you can just not get the upgrade, but still. Finally, the actual units in the first place. And units that can shoot long ranged are fine,(for some reason) I’m talking about the dark knights, ogres, and that other one that I’m. It going to talk about. Sometimes, they will attack a person for looking at them, that part is fine. But sometimes, if an enemy doesn’t touch the unit (which is much more often than you think) the unit won’t bother the enemy. And again, since the lasers aren’t reliable, that is really bad. Some newer players will only build at the losin hp area, so when this happens it is just infuriating to not be able to do anything about it. Please fix:D. Overall v a very good game, however, there is one missed opportunity. There is not dark knight hero. This isn’t necessarily something I really want, but it is just a missed opportunity. So much better than the non-Apple Arcade version.Ironhide Studio makes some of my favorite mobile games. These Kingdom Rush games are absolutely a great time, no question about it at all. Vengeance+ is an upgrade from “regular” Vengance in every way because of one thing: no microtransactions. I get it, a studio needs to make money. But when transactions get in the way of enjoying a game to what I (as a naive customer) believe is a full potential, it really cheapens the experience. I had given up on “regular” Vengeance I felt that I needed to buy extra towers and heroes to take full advantage of the post game. Not so with Vengeance+. Instead of an unavoidable push where you *must* buy more heroes and towers, they are just unlocked as you progress through the story and post game. Sure, you give up early access, but it is 100% worth knowing that they’re there - as long as you have the skill and patience to keep going. Maybe this speaks to my low skill in “regular” Vengeance, since I had a rough time without extra heroes and towers, but if that’s the case so be it. It just wasn’t fun for me. But Vengeance+ is absolutely going to be a game I revisit over and over. I’m not sure what kind of deal Ironhide Studio made with Apple, but I’m sure glad I’m benefiting. Good high quality tower defense game.. not without its flaws.This game is great, I do thoroughly enjoy it, but.. for everything that this game does right, it also gets a few things spectacularly wrong. The boss fights in this game are a struggle to say the least, as well as every difficulty managing to make your towers feel extremely weak. While the gameplay is good, it’s incredibly unsatisfying and just feels like while throwing everything I have at a mini boss enemy, I might as well be slapping it with a wet noodle. It makes the player feel weak, but not in that cool realistic dark souls way, more like you feel pathetic against these enemies, even if they’re quickly dispatched. The challenge is there, I believe the lack of gold throughout the rounds is great, and makes thinking about your upgrades more important, but the overly tanky enemies are just a bore to fight, not to mention that even on the casual difficulty, there are just barely enough rounds for you to setup a defense on the bosses. Making every boss fight extremely tedious, and praying that you somehow got every placement and upgrade exactly right. There is little to no room for error in these kinds of rounds, while everything else is an absolute breeze..Magmalord26Version: 1.14.30

Fun as ever, but missing some featuresI love all of the Ironhide games and have played most if not all of the Kingdom Rush variants. Vengeance+ looks super polished and repeats a lot of the satisfying gameplay loop that made the others so much fun, but I feel like it’s missing a few things that made the other games feel “tighter.” The on-screen “buttons” for selecting your hero or abilities don’t seem as easy to press. Seems like there’s a smaller area you have to touch to select things. Additionally, not having an item shop makes certain levels feel like a grind (currently struggling with the final dwarf level). Lastly, earning no additional upgrade points/souls for completing different level game modes doesn’t really provide much incentive for doing anything other than the standard mode. This complicates things a bit because if I get stuck on a difficult level, I can’t go back and grind for additional upgrade points for my towers. Not game-breaking certainly, but kind of a bummer. Otherwise it’s a fun game and deserves a spot in your rotation if you enjoy tower defense games!.GMan56MVersion: 1.13.2

Best game I’ve playedThis game is amazing at what it is. A tower defense game with multiple options, Hero's that level up and a skill tree for towers and hero’s. Typical tower defense games you’ll have a fast shooting tower, a high damage one, a slow or stun tower, and an area damage tower. Maybe a few neat ideas… this game has multiple of each with many hybrid towers. Some have infantry troops plus damage towers that have other effects. You constantly get new towers and hero’s on the Apple Arcade version. New bad guys constantly with different themes as the story goes on. Well rounded towers and hero’s. Infinity combinations. Fun, Glitchy, and some cheap enemy scenariosFirst off, this is a fun game. A-lot of different heroes and towers to unlock and give you access to playing the game differently. The only glitch i've run into is a cosmetic glitch where all models go haywire throughout the map. I was able to bypass this level by putting my towers on glitched areas. My only gripe about the game is how cheap some of scenarios are. This usually includes learning some unwritten rules. Warning Spoilers Ahead: One rule is that you cant let the featured enemy special heroes cross your final defense I.e one of levels features a knight that will join battle on last round. Another includes the final stage, you can’t let your summoned super hero fall. These rules may sound intuitive, but hurt cause you usually will learn the hard way, when it happens to you, in the final round/stage of a long battle. It would be nice to have these battle conditions made clear or maybe include some check points to these long scenarios..GamingPesantVersion: 1.13.2

Room for improvementWith TD games being amongst some of the most basic style strategy games they’ve done an excellent job creating a game full of twists and new enemies while still falling under the most basic of TD games. There are a few bugs worth mentioning as they are the worst kind. Game crashes randomly, but only at incredibly frustrating times. Boss waves, victory notifications and initial round levels are my top concerns with this bug. Occasionally you buy towers and they don’t spawn. Also spells sometimes freeze on screen this is normally a sign of the game crashing soon but not always. Let’s talk about what I love now. Numerous towers are available with a host of specialization between them all. Sure you can only use 5 of them at a time but that just means you need to start strategizing before you select a level. There’s also almost as many hero’s which can be leveled to provide additional strengths. One hero per round but you can always change to a more suitable hero when needed, at the main menu. Spells can also be upgraded in the main menu as well. This game provides a story line for you to follow though I admit I didn’t care about it. I have nothing to say about the story as I haven’t paid it any attention so far. I do find it frustrating that certain levels early on cap the towers ability to be upgraded, not to mention the additional modes or challenge waves for each level seem to have no effect on anything so I’m curious the point of them. Its great and the art is amazing, exeptTheres this bug where on the first level of the kingdom, (after the king of the north is defeated) where all the assests and animations are missing and the UI is completely invisible. So what you end up with is a bunch of seemingly random assests that keep flickering and changing to assests that dont look as though they belong there. And the house has this wierd frame of the image, wich appears to be off center and has a white border and should not look that that. As it has made the art in this game make the game look broken and unplayable. I love the game but cannot wait for this bug to be fixed so I may continue. Best game on app storeI love this game so much. I've been playing since i was a kid (still a kid but older) and it doesn't get old. It's very chill and relaxing with great, fun graphics. I love the voices and the animations, play-style, stratedgy and other things too. I do wish that upgrading towers was a faster process in the beginning but it's not really a big deal. I a lot of times nowadays play this game on the side while im doing something else and i wish i could reduce the game speed so i dont need to pause it. Love the game! Want to play more…I really, really like this game. I want to play it more! But it’s not motivating me to. I’ve given it 4 stars because it’s so much fun. But I’ve knocked off a star, because with very small changes, they could make this game MUCH more replayable. I played through each level and got 3 stars on each, and did the 2 extra challenges for each level. And I want to play more. BUT…it doesn’t seem like there is more to play. The achievements look like there is a lot of hidden stuff. But I can’t find it. Ok, we can all just agree I might be dumb and I’m just missing it. [FIXED] Game breaking bug - Otil FarmlandsThere was a game breaking bug on level 13. I reached out to the developer via this review. Within a week or less they fixed the issue and reached out to me letting me know. This is a great game by a great company — I played every version. Lots of fun new towers, heroes, and units. There’s also some great call backs/remakes of previous ones from their other games. My only minor issue with this version is that in previous versions Heroic & Iron Challenge were tied to unlocking stars for upgrades, earning money to buy items, or getting heroes, etc. In this version they don’t have an incentive, which makes completing them less fun. Still a great game though. :: Fixed Issue Below :: Reached the Otil Farmlands and there are no plots to put towers. There’s also flickering assets all over the map. Using iOS 15.5 iPhone pro 13 Game is great up to this point. Played all previous versions of this game as well. Have loved them all. Hopefully this bug gets fixed soon. A really great build off of the other gamesThis game is great I love it it is by far the 2nd most unique kingdom rush game behind legends it’s kind of hard but I love how there is a difficulty setting but I think it’s kind of weird how you didn’t include the shop like you did with other kingdom rush games and how you are suddenly fighting for evil but that isn’t a problem and what’s even better is that the OG vengeance can get pretty darn pricey but everything is free in this game and how you frequently update it and a recommendation, add a update to hammerhold stormcloud temple etc my overall rating a 4/5.FaydownVersion: 1.14.30

MehI don’t play games that feed into your addictive tendencies when you force me to buy items and towers, etc., so when I saw this game in Apple Arcade, I was excited! The game itself is fun In so many ways. I play more casually however notice a few things I’m not the best nor the worst at playing most games. But if your getting too fast at killing off the AI, the game doesn’t give you as much gold. So you can’t upgrade until the middle of the game. That’s somewhat cheap. If the game itself can add extras to defeat you, then the playing field needs to be fair. I also noticed half of the heroes and towers are weak. If you look at the stats of each building, most of them are ineffective or middle of the road. Leaves a cheap feel to the game..GIGi COVersion: 1.14.30

Great game (if you don’t mind waiting. And waiting.)As tower defense games go, this game *plays* really well once you get going. The sides are balanced, there’s a lot of nuance to the game mechanics and the creatures on both sides, and there’s some humor thrown in here and there. And they even give you three slots in which you can start the campaign and “save” your game (more on that in a minute.) The first slot even has a thorough and informative tutorial on how to play. That brings us to the first flaw in this game: there is no way to skip the first-time-player tutorial. In all three slots. And it takes for. eh. ver. Why you need to work through this tedium after you’ve started the first slot and played through the tutorial is beyond me. That’s annoying enough, but wait! There’s more: if you want to restart a level or play it again for an extra star, you have to sit through the same ridiculously long printed-dialog cut scene each tim. It goes back and forth, over and over, between the characters in the game. There’s no option to click through it or make it go faster. And you can’t turn it off (the only two ‘settings’ are leave the level or restart, along with the usual music and sound effects volume controls.) If you’re a normal human with other things to do who just wants some entertainment here and there…this probably isn’t the game for you, especially since you can’t save a level in progress(!). That’s extra fun when you’ve spent twenty minutes on one and get a phone call or another interruption just as you’re about to win with all twenty line-crossings successfully defended. If you don’t need a comic book story line to get engaged in a game, the inability to skip the tutorial and cut scenes (not to mention the occasional mid-level interruption for more of the same) will probably make you want to look elsewhere. AMAZING!!!I love kingdom rush games, and all of Ironhides games (sadly I can’t play Junkworld where I live). I thought it was amazing, despite some other reviews. I loved seeing all the updates and towers and heroes. It is also pretty challenging, I still haven’t beat King Denas. I do think the spider trap thing with spiderlings should have its own tower, because, SPIDERS!!! (Maybe a spider queen hero because SPIDERS!!!). So it’s a 10/10 game and it seems like in the future there may be an iron marines and kingdom rush crossover (Both share certain Easter eggs, characters, also the giant murder eyeball is in both series)..Witch Doctor ZVersion: 1.14.30

Change for the sake of changeThis is a good game but for a kingdom rush game it’s not great. There are a lot of changes that don’t add anything to the game but take from it. For instance you no longer unlock upgrades using the stars you get for completing levels so there’s no reason to 3 star every level, or complete them on the challenge mode since you don’t get anything extra. You just get 3-4 souls for beating the stage. You also unlock the challenge mode for just finishing the level no need to 3 star which is good because some levels I don’t want to play again. There’s also no consumables to buy which is very strange so there’s less of a reason to try and get all the achievements since there’s no gem reward. The new tower customization is a great change and while there are only the 4 basic types (mage, archer, area, soldier) each “reskin/alternative” feels and plays different enough to be fun. But my biggest problem with it by far is the level design. Almost every stage has 2 points or more to defend and personally I don’t like that. It feels like they did it only to increase difficulty but not in a way that makes it feel earned just frustrating. The 2 defense point levels in previous games were always my least favorite and 13 out of the first 16 are like this. The enemies are also harder with way more healers/ ranged attacks which is a little cheesy but I like it enough on the 1 defense point maps. Makes me really think where the best place to put a tower down is more then any other KR. However the 2 defense points on almost every level unbalances it. Maybe I just don’t like multitasking but only having 1 hero and many of the second paths only having space for 3-4 towers makes it feel like it was originally only going to have 1 defense point. Still has a lot of charm and seeing older characters and towers show up as new enemies or friends is great. The 1 defense point levels play great and I look forward to finishing it and the DLC. But once its done I don’t see myself staying with it instead of Frontiers or something since it feels a little lacking and I don’t like the level style as much. It’s still a good game but I don’t like the direction IronHide took with this one as much. One of the best games on Apple ArcadeHaving a total blast with this one, I love the vibe playing the villains gives you and the game has great flavor text for the missions and abilities. All of the quality and fun gameplay we’ve come to expect from the Kingdom Rush games. I love that they brought these to Apple Arcade and continue to do so. A good entry in the TD seriesI played the earlier versions of Kingdom Rush’s tower defense games, but not this one. Without in-app purchases I found it to be a good game. There are considerably more heroes and varieties of tower than you need, but that may allow people to find their own winning combinations. Great Game, Game Breaking GlitchI can’t find the title of the level now because I deleted the game and lost my progress, but the level of the dwarves with the king in the throne, would crash every time I reach wave 15 and I assume the boss was coming on. I replayed it 4 times, and each time, it crashed in the same spot, no matter if I had enemies still in play or if the field was clear. Fun gameplay loop… very long battlesI’d rate this higher if you weren’t forced to replay an entire 30 minute battle when you lose. The first game reserved that for later levels but this one opens with 15 round missions that get incredibly challenging. It feels less like a rewarding mechanic bestowed on those that master the game and more like a way to artificially inflate the games length. Level 13 (I think)I love the game and everything but once I got to level 13 (I think) right after you leave the snow region there was a graphical glitch or bug that just made it confusing to play and I didn’t really understand what was going on or where to build and when new enemies arrived the card that explained them was also glitched. You can continue building, casting spells, etc… Also managed in another level to get stuck with the final enemy unit being taken over and sent back, just to come back and be taken over and sent back. Very FunI’m about halfway through the game and it’s pretty fun so far, still a challenging strategy game like the other KR games, but the added variety(new towers, 5 tower slots, more unique heroes and enemies) allows you to develop your own strategy for each level which is very refreshing because it promotes exploring different combinations of towers and heroes to find a strong game plan. Excellent addictive TD.The game is the first in almost 12years to finally bring back the amazing fun I had playing the first TD’s when the app store OPENED. I’d love to see some balance for the Heroes. A lot are top tier around the latest you can unlock but deal so little damage. Also all heroes have a Glitch. When enemies pass them in a narrow angle going « through » them, the heroes do not engage combat. Please buff towers at lower levels too. The game is way too hard when damage is so slow to ramp up. Kingdom Rush Vengeance TD+ Negative Reviews

Great series, ruined by many small mistakesKingdom Rush is an incredible IP. I loved the first three games so much, but it feels like every decision in Vengeance was made by people who don’t get why KR was so darn good. To start, you ALWAYS have to scroll up/down to be able to see the whole level, because levels were designed in a 4:3 aspect ratio and not expanded to fit a mobile screen properly. That means the game ends up always zoomed in, and characters are larger than they were in KR. It was so much better when you could actually zoom out and see the whole stage. Secondly, they removed the branching evolutions that made this game what it is. Each tower type could be evolved into one of two types once it hit level 4. Now, that is simply gone. They allow you to bring 5 towers into a match but it’s just not even close to the same experience. The UI animation in this game is also so annoying. The game used to be snappy and feel tight. Most (unnecessarily?)difficult KR game I’ve playedI’ve played almost every Kingdom Rush game, and I found this one to be the most frustratingly difficult of them all. The game is full of ‘cheap’ enemy scenarios, they show up past the entry point, some are invulnerable for parts of their route, the range enemies seem overpowered and much too prevalent for my tastes. Add to this, that I’m pretty sure the progression system, gems and upgrades, are sort of broken compared to the non-Apple Arcade version. I feel like some of my issues with the difficulty would be helped if you gained anything for re-playing the levels on extra hard tiers they give you. I just think there are rewards that aren’t given to unlock/upgrade more that would help. The game looks good, has played well in my experience, and has more going and options than any other KR game. Poorly balancedWhen playing this, you can tell it used to be a grindy, micro-transaction laden garbage game. Switching it to a full game for Apple Arcade didn’t do it any real favors. The difficulty curve was balanced to encourage players to start dropping money pretty quickly in this game. There’s multiple points where the developers put in steep difficulty jumps, mostly in the form of resource gathering just not being good enough, where you can see they would have sold a solution to buff you units. Are players standards so low?Listen, I love KR games (well Legends not so much), but this game is so unbalanced you have to wonder if it was play tested much. The anti-armour towers are so underpowered compared to the armour unit spam you will face. The Northerns ranged units rate of fire is beyond ridiculous as is the amount spawned. The money drop is so low you will never upgrade your towers enough before the level ends. The archer towers might be the only truly useful tower. Don’t even get me started on the underwhelming heroes. They will die many times to take down a Dwarf Mech. And they will spam said Mechs repeatedly.
