I can’t believe this is free!!!!I never review apps. This one though, I’ve been playing for a few months now I think and I love everything about it! You know how you get ads for these colorful liquid-bottle sorting apps and you kinda feel like they’re all the same thing? I have learned through downloading a handful of this game type and inevitably quitting due to being absolutely inundated with ads, that’s not the case. After trying the other ones where you can’t finish a level without watching an ad for a bit of help or spending real world money, I was pretty frustrated because I really love the premise of this kind of puzzle game. This one really is the cream of the crop! I like that there’s so many ways to get more lives and power ups and even fun little collectible cards, which in turn give you even more rewards. There’s even teams you can join where you can ask people for lives when you need them but there are also so many opportunities to get yourself infinite lives for given time periods (which is compounding btw). I can’t speak on other teams but mine is very active and the people are nice and helpful. There’s just so many features that give you little dopamine hits. Also, I love cats so seeing little magician cats is pretty cute. I have one very minor complaint though. Some of the pop ups like the jetpack race or the treasure drill are a little much when I’m trying to just play lol. But that’s it! This is my favorite mobile game. I’ve tried many and eventually got bored and uninstalled them but this one keeps me coming back. There’s always something to do and solving a level is so satisfying..LilboopbeepVersion: 25.42

So relaxing and nice change of paceAt first I thought this game was too easy until I realized I really enjoyed it. The visuals and sounds are like very relaxing to my eyes and ears. At first I almost deleted the app, but I was enjoying it. Right now im brand new and only on level 20 and playing for about 10 minutes. I’m figuring out the goals and difficulties, which are easy right now, but it’s relaxing and not stressful. I’m not paid for time playing this game, but if I were……it I think I’d change my day job to playing this. I’ve never played a game than fulfills my basic but most important senses. The feeling of finishing something and stressing out and having fun is what we’re all trying to find in the real world to make balancing life more manageable. Anyway, whoever does not like this game is seriously too tightly wound up. This is a such nice way to unwind and take a break from mind bending problems or issues. Almost Perfect But Not QuiteThere’s a lot of things I really like about this game. It really helps me focus and calm down when I’m having anxiety and need to distract my mind. It’s one of the only games that is pretty much exactly like the ads that you play. I like that you can join teams and there are a lot of opportunities to get lives and enter into various challenges to get more coins and infinite time. I like that you can get rid of ads but you can also choose to watch ads for coins and lives. The first day or two kind of sucked me in with winning 13 hours of infinite play time and I got so use to it that when it was time for only 5 lives again I felt confused on why I couldn’t keep going. Small issue and really not a complaint more like a whine lol. I don’t like that when you lose that the only choice is to pay back in with 900 coins to buy a new bottle. I wish you could have the option to pay to do a reverse move because sometimes that’s what led to losing the round. I also think some of the items are just too expensive. I get that they make it high to avoid being able to have so many stocked up but I think 900 is a bit too much for a bottle. Especially when the info is 300. It’s way too big of a jump. The dailies can be way too hard sometimes but I do like that I can keep going without it costing me lives. Overall I do really like the game. Enjoy this game, but…I love this game. The graphics are simple, yet appealing. The game play can be very soothing for someone with high stress levels. The prizes are fair, to an extent. I didn't realize when I downloaded this game that earning the prizes would be as difficult as it is. While I can play and win three sets in a row, once you hit the fourth, you either have to pay coins or use the prizes you won to continue on or give up. It makes it difficult as you can’t hold your prizes for long. There is not really a consistent incentive for continuing for higher prizes because once you give up, you start at the bottom again. And even though some of these levels are “easy,” they are still just as hard as the “hard” or “super hard” levels making it difficult to progress in the game until you solve it or pay for it. I do not have the money to pay for more coins or the prizes. I wish you’d have something like a continuation in prizes instead of having people start over if they give up or lose a set. Or missions of some sort that continue on so the incentives are a good reason to keep playing your game. I love this game, but with the frustration I get from trying to pass a level, I’m not sure if this is the game for me anymore. I’ll keep trying for a week. If it doesn’t get better, I’m deleting it. Fun up to a certain pointAgree with most reviewers. It’s fun to a certain point and then it just gets impossible because the developers want you to spend tons on this game and there is ample opportunity to do so. What is a game of logic eventually degrades into a game of dumb luck since you can’t see what colors are in the tubes. Challenging is one thing but impossible is another. Boosters are far too expensive to purchase for the rewards you get for completing levels and/or streaks (spoiler: unless you’re in the very early levels or super lucky or willing to spend an entire paycheck on boosters, your streaks probably won’t last longer than three levels). For example, a streak of three levels won in a row will get you 300 coins but to continue a level lost (and it happens frequently especially with super hard) costs 900 coins or to buy an extra bottle booster will run the same amount. And if you ask me, some of the boosters are useless. Sometimes there are a couple of moves to make and you make the wrong one to end the level but you have an undo booster—how come I can’t use it to undo the last move and see where that other tube would have taken me? Flawed gameplayAs someone who has played 594 levels and counting, I have thoughts. The game is relaxing and fun enough. However, there’s definitely flaws in the rules and in my humble opinion needs improvements to make it more fair for those of us who aren’t going to spend money. First, when you “lose” a level (aka no more moves), it automatically forces you to restart OR spend 900 tokens to add a new bottle. This is frustrating if you don’t have the coins, but DO have extra bottles/rewind/shuffle moves because you’ll lose your streak even though you (in my opinion) should be able to use a perk of your choice if you have it to keep playing. If you’re a sane person and not spending money, then you rarely have the 900 to keep playing. So it’s impossible to keep a streak up, making it MORE difficult to gain perks. Again I’ve played almost 600 levels and I rarely go past a 5 game streak. Additionally, you only have 5 lives until you have to watch a long form ad to gain an additional life, which is annoying because you still get shorter in-between game ads. Pros & ConsPros: It’s a simple-concept game for a nice break in your day. I hate slow-moving games, but this one allows you to queue up the next move without waiting for the animation to finish, which I like. Cons: The game requires more luck than skill. When you’ve run out of moves and are forced to restart the level, the puzzle doesn’t reload to the same version. There are completely different colors and fill patterns for the bottles. So if in the previous attempt you chose move A over move B and got stuck and were forced to restart the level, you won’t be able to try move B on your next attempt because the puzzle is completely different. This also prevents you from checking that the game isn’t cheating and if the levels are truly winnable without using boosters or paying real money to continue the level. Also, you have to use the boosters (like adding an extra empty bottle) before you know you actually need them. If you run out of moves, you can’t use a booster to undo your last move or add an empty bottle without first paying to continue the round. These are clearly designed to get you to spend real money. Spend money to succeedThis is my favorite game currently from the App Store and I am nearly to level 900 so I’ve invested a lot of hours in it. But there is a big problem with game play that I hope developers will address. The most difficult levels are when you have too many colors and too few bottles. I enjoy figuring out how to sort and win. HOWEVER, if you lose you are given the option to continue play by purchasing an extra bottle for 900 coins. When you get the extra bottle, the level goes from being super hard to super easy. I don’t think I’ve ever lost a hard level after buying an extra bottle. Therefore anyone who is willing to spend money to buy lots of coins so that they can always afford to buy the extra bottle would certainly be able to advance very quickly through many levels of play. Here’s a tip: spend money and win, win, win! Also, I hate that all the fun goes out of trying to figure out how to succeed on a super hard level by simply adding another bottle, immediately resulting in a level that even a dunce could solve. More time please…This is a very fun app. I’ve enjoyed the numerous hours I spend playing this app. However, I wish the app gave some time, like a minute or two to let players know there’s no other option when it’s a stalemate. It’s hard to learn my mistakes when there’s not even a second to look at my mistakes. The only way to learn to play this app better is to be able to look at what other options I could’ve made. On one level, it took me a couple days to get to the next level. For those 2 days, I watched hundreds of ads just to repeat my mistakes. On the second day, the ads were the same ad so I started spending more time on the buses ad since it allowed me to play without installing the app. The buses app is the same principle as Magic Sort, except it added an IQ as to how well you played. Amazing game but genuine request to developersThis review is more for the developers of the game rather than the audience. I dont think there is much that can go wrong in such a simple game and it is very challenging for the higher levels and such a nice game to play when you have some time on your hands. However, if there is one game mechanic that is single handedly ruining the skill aspect of the game it has to be the question mark “unknown” colors in the jars. Instead of using a lot of brain power to keep your winning streak, your win streak is now dependent on a 50/50 coin flip if you chose to uncover the correct question mark and more times than not, you lose the game because of it. I believe this game will be much more playable and will have much more longevity if the question marks are removed from the game or significantly reduced. Can be fun, but overall annoyingI generally like this game. However, it’s annoying enough that I will probably uninstall it. I’m now stuck on an un-winnable level. I don’t have enough coins to add a bottle and I refuse to pay money for it. There needs to be another way to earn coins when you can’t earn them by winning levels. Maybe there is. Flawed/unfair player UXThis game can be entertaining but it seems to intentionally set users up to fail without in-app purchases for Hard and Very Hard levels. It’s absurd that you run out of moves without any sort of warning beforehand so you can use your Undo power ups to try to go back to open moves. Instead, you fail and lose your progress. Worse, each time you replay a level, the color combination layout is completely different so you have no way of figuring out what went wrong since you can’t duplicate it. The bottles covered with sheets make it impossible to anticipate what’s under it. The covers should be transparent or made of ice because it quite literally sets players up to fail from the second the level starts. It’s extremely unfair and gets very frustrating. It should take $10-20 to pass a level. Please update this game to make it more fair to users. Love it, except…I absolutely love this game! It challenges me mentally and satisfies my puzzle game addiction. I used to play Royal Match and have not played that since I picked this game up. That being said, there is one thing that I cannot stand in this game. I don’t like the way that when there are no more color moves left, it kicks you out and you cannot do anything except pay 900 coins to keep playing or quit the level. Why do they give you options such as undo and flipping the colors around in the cylinders if that is not considered an available move? Some levels impossibleI really enjoy this game and think it has many great qualities. Infinite lives are relatively easy to get which is always appreciated in mobile games. This game has a lot of challenges within puzzles that I havent seen in similar games. My biggest issue, like many others who have left reviews, are that levels are sometimes impossible without any power-ups. If you dont have coins you get screwed and dont really have a way to continue. The game starts with no ads, but warning to new users: it does in fact have quite a few ads. The Developers Are GreedyI do love the game, as it’s cute and entertaining. However, the algorithm basically tries to force you to spend money on power ups that may or may not help you win the level. RNGThere is a level of RNG with this game that makes it annoying. They make it “impossible” to have a perfect game because they have “fail” mechanics implemented. Basically “forces” you to use coins or power ups. I tested the theory with the rewind power up. After you make a move the “???” Color will be revealed you can then rewind and the color will stay revealed. No matter how many moves I see ahead there was always a road block that forces you to then use the “shuffle” power up. If you don’t have one or get an unlucky shuffle then it’s an automatic loss. I also don’t like how we can’t use a power up after the “No more moves” screen comes up. Since we can’t predict RNG, you should, at least, allow us to use a power up after no moves are available. Having to use/buy coins after that is quite predatory, in my opinion. Fun game but issuesI do like playing the game. I got it to pass some time on my boring night at work. Here’s some issues I’ve found: 1. The daily reward board will always, always, give you the absolute bare minimum prize. The most I get is 100 coins or 1 hr of free play time and this is over the course of months now. 2. When you use the button to rearrange, the bottle will sometimes shake and then not change at all so what’s the point of earning the reward if it does nothing? And 3. When running out of lives, don’t set a timer for when you’ll get another one because you’ll find there’s still more time left, sometimes close to 5 minutes. Issue with difficulty and coinsIt’s a really good game and is exactly what you would look for from ads they have, plus a few events to do. But there’s a major problem with difficulty in some levels, I will be stuck on a level for DAYS because I don’t have enough coins to buy anything, specifically extra bottles since its 900 coins. Hate to Love ItIn the beginning I loved playing this game so much. The game itself is really fun and addictive, the graphics are adorable, there are multiple fun challenges to participate in. For that I would have given it a full 5 stars. However, it just kept getting harder and harder to beat the levels without some sort of game-coin-costing booster. At first it was fine because the various challenges provided coins or boosters, and you can watch ads for more coins, and at first you can generally make enough coins before you needed another booster. But after about level 400 every other level started becoming impossible without boosters that I couldn’t make enough coins in time to afford, so I quickly ran out of coins and couldn’t play anymore. I even started just opening the app every day just to watch the limited 3 ads for coins so that once a week I could play for a while. But now at around level 450 even that isn’t enough. I think if the levels are going to increase in difficulty so much that boosters become increasingly more necessary, then they should also increase the amount of coins you’re able to make as you progress through the levels so that the game isn’t so impossible to play. HmmmThe ads don’t depict the actual gameplay after the first few introductory levels. Most of the game involves bottles with contents that are partially or entirely hidden, making it less a game of skill and deductive reasoning than one of chance, and it’s hard to trust that the game coding doesn’t capitalize on the fact that you don’t have all the information at the start of each level. As others have said, there is a completely useless “undo” button that you can actually use when you make a “mistake.” But what people failed to mention is that it’s not that you are making mistakes but you are revealing contents of bottles that you couldn’t see before hand, and when you do, then it turns out to leave you stuck in the level ends immediately. When levels reset, the arrangement of bottles is different each time. So it is partially a game of chance. I guess that’s what it has to be because the basic gameplay as shown in advertisements is very easy. I downloaded it because it looked easy and relaxing but it’s a bit gimmicky. Ads are not excessive. I’ve only noticed them when I’ve had to restart a level. Fun only when it’s possibleThe game is fun. I like sorting everything, but when you get to a certain point, they make it impossible to solve the sorting puzzle without adding an extra bottle, which shouldn’t be a thing. To get an extra bottle, you either have to have already earned enough coins or have to purchase more. They should at least make it possible to solve without powerups. I understand using one if you’ve messed up, but some levels give you two possible moves, and then it tells you that there’s no more moves, and the only way to continue is to use coins or buy more coins. You can also quit and try again, but they have you compete with other people in certain instances, and if you lose, you’re kicked from the game. Very Fun, but Very StrictI’ll preface this by saying the ads sell it short. Yes, it does initially play like a boring old mobile game that might offer 20 minutes of entertainment. However, the game does have some custom mechanics not shown in the ads, and I was pleasantly surprised to see room for skill and strategy. My main problem is the Extra Bottles power-up. Priced at 900 gold, or an average of 30-40 rounds played, this completely trivializes puzzles. On the other hand, if you have no moves to make, the game immediately forces you to either buy this expensive power, or spend a life. I have 2 hours of infinite lives stockpiled from starter rewards, but it’s still a bit frustrating, especially when I could be using my Undo or Shuffle powers. Fun but…This is a fun game where, at least for awhile, the limits of what you can do is dictated by brain power. As the game goes on, however, you are playing games with more and more “mystery” colors in the bottles and there is no real way to prepare for what is in those blank spaces. There is a pattern and when you fail it’s the same iteration of a game every 3 or 4 turns, so it becomes a memory game. Until, that is, you are presented with puzzles where there are literally no workable solutions and you will try each iteration 10 times only to discover that no matter which way you go this particular level is designed for you to fail. It forces you to buy “power ups” so you can pass the level. Remember, this game is the creators of all of those stupid match games that want all your money. Great game! But sometimes forced to use special ability.Really good, fun, and relaxing. Most of the time. There’s one thing that drives me crazy. Sometimes there’ll be a “Super Hard” level that’s literally impossible unless you get lucky or use an extra bottle which is a special ability you have a limited number of. So make sure you save it for that. The most recent one I was forced to use the extra bottle ability because it just kept being completely impossible over and over. Other than that 1 glaring issue, this is honestly a great app. I love the sense of community with your team, how often it gives you infinite lives, the music, everything. You Can Run Out of LivesI like the game, but I was looking for something to play while taking transit home without adds, as sometimes in the subway tunnels you don’t get cell coverage to play the adds. DisappointedIt is a fantastic game and I love playing it. However, the “super hard” levels are virtually impossible to beat unless you have a power up, which you can only get by getting coins, which you rarely have opportunity to get anything significant to buy the power ups unless you spend actual money. Or, you are stuck on a level forever until you manage to get enough coins to get a power up just to escape by playing the daily game. And the ads are ridiculous. It is obvious this game attempted to follow the “Royal Match” games because the assets and mini-games are virtually the same, giving the impression it will be similar, yet they have made the game play to where purchases are almost required to get through or you end up deleting, which I will be doing. As a suggestion: If you are going to attempt to copy Royal Match’s style to get players, do better. And here’s a perfect example: Made it all the way through the little mini game you have to beat 10 levels to split 10,000 coins, beat two super hard levels first try then on level 10, the last coin level to beat, and EASY level. Don’t download - deleting itThis game is fun, but once you get to a certain level they disguise very difficult puzzles as easy. Eventually it starts to feel intentional, like your account has been flagged for the potential to “win” the game, (even though there are endless levels) so algorithmic barriers are created in order to force you to buy more lives or solving tools. Speaking of the tools, you can win them as you climb up the levels, like “redo” “shake” and “+1 bottle”. A couple of times I’ve used the shake tool and nothing has happened, but I still lost the tool despite nothing in the puzzle changing. I had achieved a magic streak of 19, and had acquired enough time, tools and coins to push through the 10,000 points needed to ascend to a streak of 20, but the puzzles got more and more difficult, so at around 3,000 points I took a break but the next day I was knocked all the way down to a streak of 0. Now I can’t get more than 2 games in a row before I get a puzzle that takes every life I have to solve it (typically not labeled as difficult or hard) which drops me down to the very bottom again. As I stated above, It feels deliberate. I’m deleting the game. A challenge is fun when there’s a possibility of a solve - I’ve been working on one puzzle for 16 tries, seems a bit excessive if you ask me. Waaaay toooo hardThe game starts out nice and easy, you’re zooming through the game getting addicted. Then after 200 levels or so they become so hard they’re almost not solvable (the hard and super hard levels). Almost as if they want you to buy coins so you can add extra bottles. First off, there’s a delay with the ad programming that will show you the “play next level” button and then right when your tapping the button a new screen covers it with a new button to pay money in exactly the same spot. But if Apple didn’t do that this game would bait and switch you into spending money without knowing until after you clicked. Good but riggedI really like this game but it is set up to make you lose. Even when doing the challenges it’s super hard to win coins. Then when you do win you only get about 20 to 50 coins. One of the most efficiently designed money grabsLemme preface this review by saying if there were no pay to play, this would be 5 stars all day. Magic Sort is some weird staged interactive nothing-burger of an app. The levels are fine for the first like hour or two, then they introduce the Mystery Sections. This game CHEATS!!!I was beating this game easily. In under an hour I had over 4K coins, close to 50 lives and was closing in on level 180. All this in under an hour of play. Fun but deceptiveI got hooked playing this game pretty quickly. I find it relaxing to sort the bottles. That was the game for the first few levels and it was fun and relaxing. However the game quickly transitions to levels in which the colors in the bottles are not revealed until the color above it is emptied. This means the game is not based on skill but luck. There are "hard" and "super hard" levels which boil down to randomly choosing the correct bottle multiple times in a row. Likening it to a coin toss, you must flip a coin multiple times and must get the correct outcome. The difficulty of the level is determined by how many times you have to flip the coin and get consecutive heads or tails outcome. This may be fun for some, but failing a level over and over again because of a random outcome beyond my control is not fun. Needs ImprovementI like the concept, but not the execution. Hiding the colors makes it a game of chance not a game of logic. As a result, it increases the likelyhood of the game choosing to give you the color you need or the color that will result in failure. I have also noticed that when restarting a failed level, not only do the colors change but so does the setup, so you can’t learn to beat the level, it ensures that it remains a game of chance (or rigged). I also never get to use the undo button because the level ends automatically upon making the wrong choice, which is the exact moment when you would need to use an undo (assuming the mistake wasn’t compounding).
