Useful, met all needs I have. (Sped up videos, small screen for iPad Pro, etc.)I read posts about how to sped up videos like we could do on YouTube’s, and got a list of apps, including OPlayerHD. I downloaded many of them, and tried almost all of those, sequentially^ ^ At last, I, even haven’t deleted all others, I do started mainly using OPlayerHD. I wanted to sped up some of my studying videos then go back or forward seconds, or play some music during leisure time so to minimize screen on my iPad Pro(iOS 11 or so), and leave blank for future needs, haha. I think if is an on-going developing app, and I hope it will continue to be so. Therefore, when the ads popped up asking for encouragement/ payment by upgrading to full/ paying version, yeah, oplayer did get my backup, and happily purchased. Does not load files from a folder with more than 10 videoWith the recent update, when using UPNP, folders with more than 10 files are not loaded. Upon selecting the folder, the program crashes or become in responsive. This was not the case with the previous version. Is there way to go back to the previous version. Video thumbnailsApp has great reviews and good playback. However I loaded tons of tv shows onto my kindergarteners iPad with this app and was disappointed to learn video list appears in a text file list only. I did not find an option to display video list with thumbnails like so many other apps do. Now it will be a challenge for my daughter to pick shows without the help of a parent. Great app!I picked this app because of the ratings, and haven’t been disappointed in what it’s able to support. I’ve loaded it up with hundreds of gigabytes of films, videos, clips etc in various formats but mostly mp4s. They all play fine. One problem: I didn’t think the picture-in-picture worked before, but I figured out the problem is with support for iPads without a Home button. The product is confused by the new gesture interface, so PiP mostly doesn’t work. But there’s an easy fix: add a button that indicates explicitly that you want the screen minimized to PiP. Still can’t do picturesI paid for pictures but the app still fails to show all in a folder. It has no problem with videos. Since other apps have no problem with jpg files, I find this puzzling....and annoying. I have the latest version. I should add that for videos it is excellent. CRIPPLEWARE of a Formerly Great AppOplayer was for many years a go to for all video. The dev improved and finessed it to a fine and totally needful app. In terms of playback, it’s still up there. It can indeed play many and sundry audio or video file formats which other apps can not. Occasionally the audio lagged behind the video. For all that, I would otherwise give it a solid 4.5. But the dev has earned 1 star by disabling one of the most basic features of Oplayer. Samba shares are now restricted to streaming. That is, you can scan for videos on your local network, from a computer or storage device, and stream them. But you can not download them to your iPad. This is an absolutely inscrutably bad decision to remove this feature. The WHOLE POINT of Oplayer is to download videos to it to play when away from home, without the need of a network. Why eliminate the basic functioning necessary to use the device? Also deleted is apparently the in-app web browser. I never used it much, but valued it being there. Perhaps this was in response to the recent hardware exploits. One can use another browser to send a downloaded web file to Oplayer. And if one is moving files to Oplayer from a computer, one can still move them from a computer using the Oplayer FTP or Bonjour servers. But if you use a net storage device, you are now up the creek. I heartily encourage the dev to RESTORE SAMBA FUNCTION immediately. Well, now I have to go find a new video player..ShufeiVersion: 3.4

Therefore I was was happy to move from the light version and buy the paid version to remove the ads and unlock other features. However after paying for and downloading the full version I see that the option to download movies from my home remote network drive has been removed in the paid version. UnreliableI use OPlayer HD to play videos from my NAS on an SMB share. My iPad Pro has iOS 13.2.2. It works well for several months, but then for several weeks in a row it won’t show any content, just loading forever without any feedback or error message. When I go to my laptop, the NAS content shows up just fine without delay. Movie and Music Problem on OPlayer HDThe problem with playing music is that each time I switch from OPlayer HD to another application, the music pause for about 1 second. OPlayer for IOS does not have this problem. It become annoying when I select a new song every time. Also all my video in h264 when play in Oplayer HD have a stutter. The stutter is small but is perceptible. VLC does not have this problem. I bought all the video and sound codec in OPlayer HD, it does not fix this problem. For this reason I give a one star review.
