To increase independence or just for fun, iDress for Weather provides children and adults, with or without disabilities, the opportunity to make connections between weather conditions and clothing through bold, brightly colored images, a simple swipe, and without the need for reading or math skills.
By setting individualized temperature ranges (cold to one person is not the same as cold to someone else!) and putting individual clothes in the closets (What's in your closet? You decide!), iDress for Weather is customizable for anyone living in any climate with any personal preferences or needs. As reported by parents and teachers alike, iDress for Weather is a great tool in increasing a child's independence and reducing conflicts in morning routines.
Other optional settings include summer or winter trees, fahrenheit or celsius. Displaying the wind speed and humidity are also optional settings.
How it Works:
Everyone experiences temperatures differently based on geography and body functioning. iDress for Weather takes this into account by allowing you to define what is hot, warm, cool, cold, and really cold.
Until late afternoon, a single swipe to the left will display a closet with clothing to match the forecasted high. In the evening, the closet will display clothing for the overnight low. You decide what goes in each closet.
How to Customize the Weather Screen:
*To select fahrenheit or celsius, tap the “i” on bottom left corner of the weather screen and then tap "Units".
*To select a location, tap the “i” on bottom left corner of the weather screen and then tap “Location”.
*To set temperature levels (strongly recommended), tap the “i” on bottom left corner of the weather screen and then tap "Temperature Levels".
*To show wind and humidity, tap the “i” on bottom left corner of the weather screen and then tap "Extended Info".
*To select winter or summer landscapes, tap the “i” on bottom left corner of the weather screen, then tap "Tree Season".
How to Customize the Closet:
* Swipe to left to enter the closet, then tap the “i” in the bottom left corner. You can choose photos from your cameral roll or take a photo.

My kids love this appMy kids like this app in order to decide what to wear. It would be nice if there were more choices of clothing and had the ability to show the hourly or forecast prediction for that day. Needs improvementGreat to show developmentally disabled adults how to dress. But when you change from winter trees to summer, you have to keep tapping it numerous times to get it to switch back. The winter trees are scary for kids. Reminds me of the haunted forest in the Wizard of Oz. Would suggest more friendly theme like a snowman in foreground..Version: 2.6.1

Great weather appBeautiful artwork, and I can quickly see before getting out of bed what the current weather is and what to expect for the day. I really appreciate the customization possible on this app. You can change the temperature ranges to fit your definition of warm, cold, etc. You can also upload pictures of your own clothing. UpdateThis program is definitely a must for families with young kids!!!! Just keeps getting better!!! Our children dressed up clothing that would match possible weather(but boys wore mom clothing and girl wore boy clothing) and we put them in the closets. They continue to think it is hilarious when they check weather and see themselves every morning. No need to request jackets...I just remind them to check their iPod! Must Have!!I'm a 22-year-old college student with NVLD. I have struggled my whole life with dressing appropriately for the weather, and this app is the first thing that's ever helped. iDress has saved me time, energy, and embarrassment. I'm actually starting to use it less because it's taught me how to do it independently- it's a lot easier to learn without the stress of mom breathing down my back. Great App!Great UI, retina display. The default pictures are so beautiful and the colors are so pleasant I don't want to change them. :-) A suggestion: in the closet part, can we have an option of sex so men will have a closet of clothes only for men, and women too. Good startMy kids use this app to determine what to wear in the morning. The difficulty we are having is that we have entered our period of variable weather...it starts out 45 degrees in the morning and can be 75 degrees by afternoon. I know nothing about creating apps but it would be nice if the app would allow the user to change specific items of clothing for different temperatures..Version: 2.2

IDressI love this app. Give it 4.5 stars. I would like to see the following modifications. First have an only boy or girl setting. My 11 year old son won't be wearing a dress. Second I would like an option to see a visual temp on a thermometer. This would help many kids understand the reverse relationship between weather and clothing. When the temperature goes down you wear more clothing.... I realize that not everyone would want those two ideas, so I recommend adding them to the settings. Need improvementI like this App, the screen looks simple and not busy. Very easy to understand. It helps my son to understand how to wear for the weather. I like that I can customize the closet. But I would like to have a library of clothing I can pick or import from google images. Then the selected clothing will be on the hangers. If it is possible， I love to have multiple pictures in the closet and allow to put pant, shirt, shoes in one screen shot. I also wish that I can takes out the dress in the closet..Version: 2.4
Needs ImprovementI love the idea of this app but it could be better 1) Id love to see a uv rating added to the wind and humidty air rating would be nice as well but uv rating is a deffinite must 2) When raining display the rain clothing on separate page. For example main page for temperature then rain page.
