Great App and Great DeveloperI've been using another app to track vehicle maintenance and fuel usage for several years. Now, that app is no longer available on the App Store and there is no support. So, I did some research and found Road Trip (MPG - iPhone, HD - iPad) to be the highest-rated of all the available comparable apps. Boy...I'm glad I did. First, I found the developer to be outstanding. I sent a help request and he responded in less than 10 minutes. Over the next couple of hours he assisted me getting the historical data for my 4 vehicles from my previously-used app imported into Road Trip. That's first-rate service! The layout of the app is nice and most importantly, the sync with Dropbox allows easy tracking of multiple vehicles on multiple IOS devices. This app and it's developer are outstanding! My Favorite - Use it for a lot of thingsI’ve had this app for several autos and motorcycles now and find it extremely valuable and easy to use. I have a lot of information at my fingertips, at all times, and entry is easy and straightforward. I’ve started using the app for the house as well. The house takes the place of a “car” and I can schedule reminders, note when done, make notes, etc. Great customer service as well. Awesome.I've been using this app for YEARS, to track the mileage on four different cars. I've never had any problems with it, the iCloud data sync makes the records appear automatically between my iPhone and iPad, there's no "subscription" to use it, and best of all, the developer isn't gathering any data from the app. This is *easily* one of the top ten iPhone apps I've ever used (and I've been using apps since the iPhone 3GS came out)..KG4ZOWVersion: 17.8

Great app!I’ve been using this app for years to track my wife’s car and my car. It’s helped me to save money at a mechanic when they recommend a service and all I need to do is consult my iPad (or iPhone). The downside is that the search function doesn’t touch the notes. So if you get 80,000 miles service completed, for example, you need to make a separate entry for each thing they do in order for it to pop up in search results. Been using it for yearsI got this app to track my motorcycle gas mileage because my bike has no fuel gauge. This app is nicely polished and high quality. It does a lot more than that, too. Missing One Very Important FeatureThe app works great but is missing one very important feature and that is simply the ability to create a printable reports for fuel mileage, service records and expense (repairs) log. Fantastic AppUpdated 1/2/22 This app works great, except I cannot share access with my wife. As we will be sharing vehicles this has become a huge issues. Great app, superb support!I’ve been using Catamount’s MPG since back in the Newton days. Unfortunately, the upgrade to iOS 8 broke that app and I was suddenly stuck. I learned that Road Trip not only has a web app available to convert your data, but someone on the MPG forums said that Darren was very helpful in the transition. Fortunately, I had all my data on the iPad, but didn’t know how to read the sqlite database. I emailed Darren and within a day he replied that if I wanted to send him the sqlite data he’d convert it for me. So I did. It’s now been less than two days and I’m up and running on Road Trip and quite happy that I didn’t miss a beat with my motorcycle’s maintenance! I can’t recommend this app highly enough. If you’re coming from MPG, it’s a no-brainer. If you’re just looking to track your vehicle for the first time, it’s an obvious choice, and the fact that the developer is so thoughtful and available should make it a very clear choice of what to buy..YroJJoryVersion: 1.4.1

Best Auto Maintenance tracking-reminder for iPad/iPhoneI've been using PC based tools to track my automobile costs for a very long time and I'm very demanding in what I'm looking for. This app meets the primary requirements and, as a plus, I can use it on my iPhone and it all syncs via Dropbox. Maintenance reminders - it's got them! Easy to set up and easy to use. Tracking fuel usage - check. Tracking repairs and maintenance expenses - check. Statistics on fuel mileage and cost per mile - check. Track multiple vehicles - check. Export to Excel -check. It could use a separate tab for setting up reminders since it loads them at the top of the expense tab. It could also use some predefined maintenance items that you can rename as you wish. Great MPG and Maintenance AppI'm a big fan of this app and its iPhone partner. Sure it would have been nice to pay for one universal app, but this developer seems very dedicated to both of them and is responsive to questions and suggestions. The app is useful right out of the box, but it's also versatile enough to fully customize the maintenance schedules and gas inputs. I track MPG for different brands of gas, not just types of gas (I only use regular). I can see which brands run better in my vehicle. I also really like the trip reports, it helps my carve out my fuel vs. maintenance expenses for business trips, making my personal budgeting easier. I highly recommend checking this app out, and I have tried about 5 others. This update fixed my two minor complaints, which were auto-decimals and Dropbox syncing happening more quickly. Great application. Very happy.I've been using this application since 2010 and I couldn't be happier with it. The user interface is well designed and makes data entry easy and simple. Finally, what this type of app is supposed to beI do a lot of traveling all over the country also mechanic and I like to take care of my cars been keeping very well-maintained and searching for a nap it was virtually impossible to find one that encompassed all of the things I was looking to track in a clear concise and orderly manner. My go-to trackerI'm a huge fan of tracking everything about my vehicles and this app knocks it out of the park. It is rare to see a tracker that even calculates for jerry cans which is nice for off-road enthusiasts and the like. The data entry is as efficient as it gets especially on the iPhone version. I mainly use the iPad version when I'm home and want to review the statistics and look at the projected maintenance schedule. Beautiful AppI've been using this app for a couple of years (60,000 miles, many road trips) and love it's implementation and it's performance. Very few apps are done this nicely. No crashes, anticipates functions I'll want, updated interface only gets better. Syncing works well. Simple data entry. The Best!!I was a long time Gas Cubby then Fuelly user when Gas Cubby moved over. Really unhappy with the changes that affected my ability as a car enthusiast and detailed record keeper to maintain my vehicle records. I started searching for alternatives and found Road Trip HD. Love Road Trip!I bought this a few years ago on my iPhone for documenting fuel refills. It is a great app that "just works." Love the app - ask for one improvementVery good app. Looked at many available and pulled the trigger on this one. Don't regret it in the least. Feature I love the best - scheduled maintenance!! Our family normally kept all this info in written form. Great for keeping up with stuff but there was not a good system for looking into the future. I took the time to input all the data into Numbers (not a hard process at all - particularly with all the help on the web and in the app - great job on that front, developers!) I then imported everything into the app and was all set. I will say that I had to do it twice as I was learning the syntax for the columns and such but that's to be expected. I strongly recommend this if you're working for old, written data files. No need to lose that information. My suggestion for improvement - seamless syncing between devices. The whole "backup to Dropbox - merge between devices" is not best. When you merge entries, it does not delete old entries. For example, I recently replaced the engine air filter and logged it. When I merged the new entry (from the iPad to the iPhone), it kept the old entry and I still had a reminder that I needed to change my air filter. My workaround - just deleted the vehicle from the iPhone and download ALL entries from the iPad. Don't know how all the "cloud" software works but it seems that if you could put an entry on the iPad, it would automatically update the vehicle on the iPhone - and visa versa. Amazing app I wish it had 2 thingsI would have rated this app 5 stars however I feel it falls short on two levels. Before I get to them I do want to say that I swear by this app and religiously have tracked my two vehicles information for well over 1.5 years. I will continue to use it. Now to the developers please add the following 1. Allow me to take a picture of my receipts for fuel, maintenance etc. and have those pictures sync to Dropbox with the vehicle info. Great app.I moved from a desktop app that I have been collecting stats in for the last 10+ years. Road Trip has replaced every feature of the desktop software and added the convenience of being able to use it on the go. The interface is well thought out, and easy to use.
