Since you keep bugging meThis is actually one of the best budget apps I could find. I've been using it only for about 3 months now so I'm still trying to learn. I love that it's simple and that you can enter manually and not have it linked with your bank account. Those other apps like that were a nightmare to me and too complicated. I DON'T like...Lets say you set $60 to spend on the dog. You spend $70. You transfer $10 from another budget to balance it. The dog envelope doesn't tell you that you actually spent $70. It just will say you're balanced. The only way to know what you spent that month is to manually calculate it. That would be an easy fix. You budgeted for $60 and somewhere within that budget should have in red or something what you actually spent so you'd easily know for next month. I also haven't quite figured out the rollover feature when I want to change the amount of that budget from month to month. I'm still learning when all that can be done and have it be a smooth transition to the next cycle..ThispartisdumbVersion: 3.4.1

Fantastic budgeting appI love how straightforward and easy to use Best Budget is. I use it for all our monthly spending, and have done for years. It’s also really useful at the end of the year for working out expenses totals. Love the simplicity, I just wanted a reliable way to track spending. Never had a problem with it, and you can back up to iCloud or Dropbox. Love the new update (October 2022)! I especially like the simplified backup options at the top of Settings. It might be a good idea to put these at the top of the main page to remind you to back up. User friendly & comprehensiveThis app has all the basic features of any regular budget app. Buuuut.....I LOVE the new photo feature!! Thank you thank you thank you for adding this feature!!! I like to have copies of my receipts, but without the paper! Comes in handy in case I need to do a quick return or exchange, or if I simply want to track expenses. The best part is that I don't need to clog my photo album with random pictures of receipts. Please note, I am using the pro version. Straightforward and helpfulI have been using this app for four or five years now to track my expenses, and for me it's just about perfect. I didn’t want an app that connected to my bank or credit card, just a way to track my spending by category. There are some features I’d like to see work differently (for example, it would be great for the reports to include how much you spent by category by month in dollar totals, not just percents, as well as how much you were over or under budget in a category for a selected time range). I had to warm up to itI bought this app when my favorite app stopped working on my old phone. At first, it wasn't quite what I was looking for. You know how it is, when you have a favorite of something and you have to replace it, the second one doesn't quite measure up. Well, after using this app for a little over a month it turns out this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can put in my income, bills, budget items and it gives me a running total on everything. Not as user friendlySome of the new changes are for the better, but a few are not improvements. Having to delete the auto filled transaction name and fill in your own is frustrating. Adding the decimal to each transaction instead of it automatically adding it in when you insert numbers is a downgrade from the last version. I understand the reason behind making the app subscription based but it would be nice to have a one time purchase option. Wonderful App!!I have truly enjoyed this app! When looking for budget apps I was looking for something I could keep track of my spending but not have to give my banking info! This was the app for me! I had the free version for a while and then needed more entries so I paid the small fee for the full app and it's totally worth it! Great app for envelope budgetI, like many others, have been downloading all kinds of budget apps. Most were just okay. This app is really easy to get set up and use. It's all manual which is fine because I didn't want to tie in my bank info to the other apps. The budget report is pretty useful to give a final monthly overview. You can set up a budget with subcategories, the envelope system. This is what a lot of other apps were missing. I prefer this app over all the other budget apps out there. It's simple and incorporates subcategories in the budget. I do wish there was more charts, like a bar chart. The pie chart is only so so when you have multiple categories. I have about 12. Love it!I have used several different budget apps in the past and was very quickly dissatisfied but I love this one. My main issue with those other apps is I live on a monthly budget that doesn't start on the first of the month and I couldn't choose the start date. Does what I need it todoI used the app to keep track of my personal budget day to day. It keeps me on track and I like a lot of its features. Finally!I was very happy to find this app. I have been using "Spend" for the last 8 years but it's no longer being supported and has started to lose functionality. I've periodically searched for a replacement app but everything offered was way too invasive or overkill. Link my bank accounts? No. investment portfolio? No. Sign up for our service? No. This is the perfect "money in jars" method of keeping track of bills. Everything can be manual so I can control what goes where, when, transfer between "jars"... it's exactly what I've been looking for. I bought both the iPhone and iPad versions and the iCloud syncing makes it super easy to keep both devices up to date. Maybe in the future if the app could sync automatically - that would be great. I get paid the last week of the month, which is week five in some months. Simple and easyIt's simple and easy to use. I set up my weekly budget and adding expenses as I go. It'll show if I'm over or under budget. If you want to change your weekly budget ya retroactive... so suddenly you'll have way more money available when you go from $100 a week to $200 a week since it adds that extra $100 for every week you have been using it. Used to be greatI really like the envelope style of budgets with this. I have used it for years and it worked great for me. Then within the last week, an automatic update changed everything for the worse. Suddenly, it added extra stuff on the screen that made the font smaller for the budgets - so the things I want to see are harder to see. Second, when I go to add a transaction, the budget name automatically fills in the transaction name. So I have to backspace to delete that before I can enter where I’m actually making the purchase. Third, when I go to fill in the amount, I now have to manually add a decimal point. It used to be automatic. Fourth, I loved the dark mode because it was easy on the eyes, but now they’ve added white or light sections to the screen that bug my eyes. They’ve also added hideous yellow, orange, and green colors. It reminds me of my parents’ couch from the 70s. This used to be the best, simple budgeting app. Now it’s clunky and harder to use, takes longer to create each transaction, and is just aesthetically unappealing and harder on the eyes. I paid for the full version back when it was a one-time payment, but now they want $10/year for the Pro version, and there are constant pop up ads for that. Unfortunately, they’ve removed all the features I liked about it and just made it more annoying, so I especially don’t want to pay a monthly fee for it. Paid app less useful than free oneI agree with other reviewers that Best Budget is quite a wonderful tool, despite its quirks about rollovers (for example, why can’t I put an end date on an item that is a monthly rollover). I bought the pro app because I liked the free one so much. However, I don’t really see any added features at all, and it will not rotate with my IPad’s rotation, unlike the free one.
