Almost PerfectI have a very limited budget and wanted to be able to run reports so I could try and see where J could cut back so I could have money to use elsewhere. I absolutely love the variety and details of their reporting. I do wish under budgets it had an “envelope” function where you could put money into a budget without a transaction. I usually have to put pieces of my paycheck aside for different bill, but I still have the money in my account until I have saved up enough to pay the bill. It would be nice if it would let you set money aside from your account without having to be linked to an expenditure , similar to the app GoodBudget. GoodBudget lets you set aside money into an “envelope” based on money you currently have and without you needing to show it as spent right then and there. Still, this app does not charge a monthly fee (GoodBudget is about $10/mo) and the flexibility they have with reporting is phenomenal (something most apps I saw didn’t really have). You also don’t have to make an account or give access to you bank account. Plus, you can take pictures of your receipts and log them with each transaction! Money Monitor ReviewPros: Money Monitor is a great app to see where your money is going. It has the ability to track bills, expenses, income, and budgets. It has several reports that can be exported including income vs expenses, category report, bill report, and more. You can create custom categories and rename and delete default ones. The app also lets you set a frequency of bills, budgets and income. Cons: I am using the free version and it is is very ad heavy. I am also having an issue with transactions being added automatically (which I am sure I setup somewhere). The app is a bit cumbersome to add a new payee, but once added very easy to search and find it. It will take some time to set the app up (i.e. Salary, bills, payees, budgets, etc) but this is expected in most apps. It doesn't have any type of bank account linking (that I've seen) so transactions on a debit or credit card still need entered manually. Overall a great app. I've tried several others before committing to this app. This app does things many paid apps do (and paid meaning like $10/mo!). Highly FunctionalPros: I had previously been using pocket expense, but they have been having syncing issues and I lost several months’ worth of data. This app had everything I needed: unlimited number of accounts, some sort of backup (I use Dropbox, but there is also an option to backup onto your desktop/laptop), and manual transaction entry. You can also email reports of transactions/budgeting history to yourself. Entering data is fairly easy, and budgets are highly customizable. You can also add spending categories as needed. I personally use tracking apps to make myself more aware of my spending, so apps like Mint that sync with your accounts automatically are pretty useless to me. It’s also much easier to add gift cards or prepaid cards on manual spending trackers. This app has a ton of features I never use, like recurring bill payments and dating transactions down to the second. I don’t find the ads particularly intrusive; they’re only a few seconds long. Cons: Users should know that they only have 500 transactions on the free app. There is the option to export your data to the paid version once you have reached that limit. The app also does not have a calendar view of all expenses, only of recurring bills. A final very nitpicky comment: the user interface feels old and clunky. These are extremely minor points though. Just what I needed!I started spending significant time over seas in the Philippines. I needed a way to track my spending on the go, as Philippines is almost all cash with no receipts and requires spending money frequently throughout the day. With this app, I can setup my accounts in Philippine peso, whip out my phone while in the checkout line and quickly record my transaction. The reporting is great, the flexibility of recording payee, categories, being able to group account types, and being able to attach a photo to a transaction has been phenomenal! I can’t imagine being without it! I also love being able to use it without a data connection, storing my data local on my phone. It’s almost as if the app was tailor made for what I need. Convenient but a major bug if you travel across time zonesI have used many expense tracking apps, and this one has interesting functionality but if you travel across time zones, the budget feature becomes unusable so you won’t be able to compare your actuals versus budgeted directly on the app, you’ll have to download expenses to a spreadsheet and do the budget vs actuals there. Very annoying and partially defeating the purpose of having an expense tracking app on your phone. The bug adds monthly budgets and double counts expenses for the month ends where you are in a different time zone. I have paid for an annual subscription for this but I am looking for another app because this bug is getting very annoying, and it has been around for SO long, I really thought it would be fixed by now. Everything I needI needed an app to track both my cash flow and my budget. At first, I looked at several apps and settled on separate ones to do each of these functions. But then I discovered this app to do both. It is incredibly flexible, letting me add/track any kind of account – I even use it to track the cash balances on my gift cards. It also has several different reports that let me see things like account balances and my budget status in an instant. I don't know if it has the ability to link to accounts, but I don't allow apps to do so, so this app was perfect. It's easy to enter transactions and make changes on the fly. Nice programI really like his app. I was using pocket money but they upgraded and it barely works so I switch. The only problem is that on recurring transactions they don’t have an option for quarterly. Great App.The best budgeting and bill tracking app I have found and believe me when I say I have tried them all. At first, I wasn’t thrilled as I thought my only budgeting categories were the very basic ones that come up when you push the plus icon but then I realized that if you set the cursor to the left, you could create your own category. It’s ok.I do like the option to view ad videos to go ad-free for a period of time - nice touch. The drawbacks are that the Bills and Budget functions are clunky to use. The running total isn’t always accurate as the order of transactions don’t really follow chronologically sometimes. I wish you could edit the time for individual bills transactions. Loved it until latest updateThe update moved all my budget start dates to Aug 2 - I’ve been using this app since Feb. All of the math is now wrong - where I had $14 dollars remaining in a budget on August 1, I now have over $300. The issue is I can’t turn back the start date to Feb to correct this issue. A warning keeps coming up saying I have to choose a date that is before Aug 1. Last time I checked Feb is before Aug. Exactly what I wantedSo happy with this app. I ditched the last one when overnight it went from free to a monthly fee. This one is even better. No pop up ads and simple to use and navigate. I wanted a basic budgeting tool. This allows me to designate a reoccurring income each payday for more than one account which works well for me as I budget for personal and household spending. My favorite money monitor appI changed my phone. The best part is the backup and restore functionality of this awesome app thru Wi-Fi! Great! Been trying to find a free app where I can keep track of my cashflows / bank and credit accounts. On other apps, you need to create and online acct, enter your bank and credit card numbers and 3digit codes. I don’t want that because if they get HACKED, your money is gone! Great!It does exactly everything I would need it to in an easy interface. The only advanced piece missing is a more accurate way to display credit card balances instead of counting it as a balance account (implying you own the money) it probably should account to its own section to count it as credit (money you can access but do not own) but it is a minor nuance compared to all the rest of the features. Horrible updateThis used to be a great app until the update ruined it! I can’t change the icon on many items in the category section so many items have an airplane icon. The only way to change it now is to delete those categories and re-enter them which messes everything up. The budget section used to work correctly. For example you transfer a $100 expense to the income section, and it subtracts that $100 showing what you have left. Now it ADDS that $100 to the income section falsely showing you have an extra $100! You cannot accurately see how much money you have left for the month- it in fact, doubles your money! How is that supposed to reflect a budget? You can’t quickly see which items have reconciled in your account because you have to take another step to reconcile. Ridiculous. Why would they take such a great app and ruin it! Honestly, this has become basically unusable for the purposes of managing your money..TLxad$$$Version: 4.0

Almost PurchasedPlaying with the free version. Almost purchased but see that you have to set the transaction type (debit, check, etc) for entire account, not the individual transaction. This is useless for me since some accounts utilize multiple types (debit, checking, credit). Under Accounts, whatever order I initially set the account, I didn’t have the ability to change the sort...which I need some times when I’m focusing on a particular account. I often like to have the account of focus on top. I used to have SplashMoney but they haven’t updated to iOS 11. Bug Makes an Otherwise Great App UnusableI’ve been using this app to track my budgets for close to 10 years. It does everything I want it to do, but one massive bug makes the app unusable and I will be looking for an alternative. If you cross time zones and use budgets, you will get double charged for expenses. It makes it a major hassle to see what you’ve actually spent and how much you actually have left to spend. I’ve contacted support about this multiple times but they act like they have no idea what I’m talking about, even though other uses have written about the same issue in their reviews. The update now forces you to import your data via email or 3rd party cloud. I'm not interested in having my personal data in the cloud.
