A little iffyI collect gem stones and do shows, and I have found a few stones that I wanted to confirm on what type of stone it was.
I had a raw cut lapis Lazuil, but It told me it was a sedimentary rock, so I wanted to test the product. I grabbed a rock I know is red jasper, but it told me it was carnelian.
I would not trust it.

Couldn’t find a rock it could identifyTried several samples in raw, cracked, and polished form and all identifications were wildly off. E.g. an open and clear piece of gneiss with pink, black and quartz clearly exposed was identified as a piece of ceramic tile - literally a piece of white ceramic tile.
