Disney Solitaire Positive Reviews

I Downloaded Magic, Got SolitaireOk so boom… I was just minding my business looking for a new mobile game when I saw this ad and thought maybe I’m high because—tell me why Tinker Bell was moving around in real life?! Sis was practically flying out the screen like we were about to hang out. So naturally, I downloaded it expecting a magical Disney experience. Did Tinker Bell jump out of my phone and greet me? NO. False advertising at its finest. Not even a sprinkle of pixie dust. Just vibes and disappointment. Now let’s talk gameplay: it’s plain ol’ solitaire. Like… the exact same solitaire we’ve been playing since dial-up internet. Nothing new, nothing fresh, just with a little glitter and a side of betrayal. Cute if you just want solitaire, but don’t let the fairy fool you. Rating: 3/5 stars—two for the nostalgia, one for the audacity..Version: 1.0.1

SO FUN AND CUTEI really, really enjoy this. I like solitaire, obviously! But having familiar Disney characters/scenes to unlock along these way makes it a bit more magical and fun. The visual style and playful music within the game remind me of the Disney Getaway app game. I looooved that game until I had to start over when it moved to Apple Arcade. So finding this one that is similar in every way except game play was exciting. My only critique is that I wish the theme of the level correlated with the scene you are in. Ideally it would be in sync with the scene you’re working on. Ex: when working on unlocking the frozen scene, the background behind the cards would be frozen themed and the music would be one of the tunes from the movie. There’s already music from the movies playing when you aren’t in a game! It would just help it feel more connected to the goal of finishing a scene. Alternatively, when you finish a scene, you unlock a theme and you choose which theme you want for your cards. You could even do it separately so you can customize having the visual theme you want and a different music theme, if the user would want. OR! As far as the music goes, the little instrumental versions that already exist in game could be on a playlist and you can customize it so only the ones you want play, and of course you unlock more as you go! This is a very minor, kind of aesthetic thing. The game itself is awesome and addictive as is!.Version: 1.0.2

Fun Solitaire Game / Bad Coin SystemDownloaded this game and I’ve really been enjoying it! I love solitaire and giving it a Disney twist is perfect! My biggest complaint is that requiring coins to play rounds is super aggravating! It was fine for a while at the beginning as the coins I won for beating a round would give me back around what it cost to play the round… but the coin costs to play just keep increasing and the returns for winning are not matching it. Things feel like I’ve hit a wall and the expectation is to now fork over money to buy packs of coins… or just stop playing until I’ve earned enough hourly coins which doesn’t give you much. I have not spent any real money on this game and never intend to do so. I think the game should be changed so that coins are ONLY used to buy the various “power-up” items (undos/wild cards/etc). Maybe even make it so those items cost more coins in order to compensate for not needing coins to play rounds. Fun card game that I’d love to play a lot more, but sadly can no longer do for free much more at this point..Version: 1.0.2

The game is great!! Just a few issues…The only things I would like to be fixed is that you have to pay the games currency to play each game. As someone with ADHD this is a game I could play for hours, but 9 times out of ten I play for like 10 or so mins and I’m out of coins and have to wait an hour for more coins just to play another round, and it’s cool if you win, but if you don’t you only get to play one round. Also…It takes forever to get through one “movie”, bc you have to get so many stars for each individual scene. Like wdym 8 stars for one act. These are my only issues, other than this, the game is sooo fun and entertaining. As an adult, that grew up on Disney, I love finding hidden gems like this game because most are so childlike when it comes to Disney. And ofc a kid could play this, but it’s so enjoyable for adults too!! Reading through the other people’s feedback, a lot of us have the same issues, so if it could be fixed, the game would be perfect!!!.Version: 1.0.2

Definitely the least egregious licensed solitaire gameComing from only playing Candy Crush Solitaire, it's a breath of fresh air with the randomness being much more fair than CCS. Do wish the gameplay itself had more to it, maybe have the games be themed since the location postcards are already from different Disney properties. Using the menu music and a different background during the game wouldn't hurt! I've had this preordered; not knowing who was developing, but was happy to see it's the Domino Dreams developer. The countless pop-ups when there's so many events going on with the game also not being free of rigged RNG (like getting a bundle of the same # cards in a row) are annoying, this is still definitely the step in the right direction (unlike ABKing across the street.).Version: 1.0.0

What if…I really enjoy the game! The character designs are so fun, and seeing your favorite Disney and Pixar characters in the game brings up such nostalgia. I would like to ask for a few things though… First: PLEASE ADD THE MUPPETS!!!! Seeing the Muppets in this game would be so much fun, and I would love to see them come to life in this style, as I am a huge Muppets fan. Second: Would it be possible to have the music of whatever scene you’re on play while you’re playing the levels? For instance, if I’m working on completing the Lion King scene, could we have the Hakuna Matata track played in-scene play behind your gameplay? This could be a setting you switch, or maybe an unlockable thing? Who knows! But I would love for there to be a way to accomplish this..Version: 1.0.2

Feels rigged at timesOk maybe I’m just not an amazing solitaire player as I think but it feels like the games is purposefully making me lose as opposed to just having a difficulty curve. My main example I repeatedly get, is being down to one card and having to, at times, pay for 2 5+ card add ons. I can understand if I made a mistake in playing and lose the game so I have to pay for the continue, but there just comes a point where it feels like winning is impossible. Maybe that’s just the luck of the draw with Solitaire but also, really!? 2 or more whole 5+ cards? That seems a bit absurd. All in all I enjoy the concept overall, I love Disney and love playing solitaire, there’s just a level to it that makes me frustrated while playing..Version: 1.0.1

Severely MonetizedDisney, aren’t you greedy enough? Super fun game with a unique spin on solitaire, puzzle solving and Disney’s memorable films. However….it severely shows that the game is rigged against you the further you progress to convince you to buy currency to continue. While most games, the mechanics are random and could easily be your fault or skill level resulting in a stop of progression, this one seems to prevent you constantly by giving you what seems like 100 of the same card (that you don’t need) to clear that last card on the board. And you will quickly run out of currency, sometimes in one try. 2,000 just to play, 2,000 for an extra 5 cards, 2,000 for a wild card, and you may get lucky to get 400 if you win the round. You get the idea..Version: 1.0.2

Impossible levelsLet me start off by saying this is an easy to enjoy game when you just want something not too hard. What I don’t enjoy is waiting 1 hour to get enough coins to play one level that lasts maybe two or three minutes that I ultimately lose because the cards in my hand aren’t programmed for me to win. I wish there was a small coin percentage we would get even if we lose a round, or like get coins as compensation for album stickers we’ve already collected instead of dupes doing absolutely nothing. This would allow people to play more and be more incentivized to spend a few coins here and there for wilds or extra cards to ensure a win..Version: 1.0.2

Great game, have to pay too muchThe game is great, at first seems like there is no strategy involved but there is. Gets harder with each round, however having to use coins to play when each round costs coins and you do not always double back in coins if you win is frustrating especially when it’s not your strategy that is making you fail like in other games but the cards that turn up which make it impossible to make moves unless you use more coins for an upgrade. Should be based off a “life” currency like other Disney games like this is. I have run out of coins and the hourly bonus does not let me play again because I have advanced and spent real money. Love to play it but I can’t keep paying money to play.Version: 1.0.2

Was so fun but levels cost WAY too muchThe game started off so fun, but once I reached level 30 the cost for extra cards were 2,500+ and back space was now 600+ instead of 100. I understand wildcards being expensive, but now its so hard to play the game without waiting days for the recharge money to be able to get enough money to beat a level. Maybe offer a battlepass so people have more of an incentive to spend money and still have fun playing the game? I would totally spend money every month for a cool battlepass! Or maybe a dress up section where u can buy cosmetics to upgrade your online avatar! You know the avatar that your friends see when they friend you in the game. Just some suggestions ive seen other games do!.Version: 1.0.1

Fun but priceySo far I’m enjoying this, but already getting frustrated with the “coins to play.” It’s why I’ve left many games in the past and will likely ditch this one for it as well. I want to play the game when *I* want to play the game— not when the timer says I’ve earned enough coins to finally start another level. And with the coin amount progressively getting higher and higher, I’m already playing less and less. I don’t mind spending small amounts of real money towards in-game funds, as I believe the game developers deserve to be paid, but when it just charges me more and more and wants me to pay for every level of play, it quickly becomes “no thanks.”.Version: 1.0.2

So many micro transactions!Be warned: this game is rigged to be such a micro transaction trap! I played to Level 200 without spending money so I feel like I gave this game a fair shot. You simply can’t win more than one level in a row without expensive power-ups that will cause you to run out of coins. You can’t play the levels without coins and it seems there’s 3-5 little pop ups daily with different packages to spend your real money on. Again, I was able to get pretty far without spending my hard earned cash but it took weeks and I could only play about 4-5 levels per day before I ran out of coins and had to wait for the next day’s bonus coins. Ended up uninstalling because the struggle just wasn’t fun..Version: 1.0.2

Great potential but one issueI really do love this game. I could see myself playing it A LOT! But you have to spend WAAAYY too many coins in this game, and the payout doesn’t even come close. Because this game relies on chance rather than skill, there’s no reason it should cost 2200 coins to play each level and then another potential 9,000 coins to get enough good cards to win the level. Playing the levels should be free unless you want the bigger prizes, and getting more cards or wild cards shouldn’t cost anywhere near that much, especially when the specialty bonuses require you to play 12-18 levels without losing to get to the next bonus. Fix the spending/payout balance and you’ll have a true hit!.Version: 1.0.2

Fun but disappointing as wellI was loving this game from the start. I had a really really fun time, but as you progress through the levels, things get exponentially more expensive, and the cards get to a point where it’s almost unfair. You keep having to buy extra decks just to get the last one or two matches. I understand as a company you need to make your money, but it’s far too coincidental that even if you buy multiple extra decks, and you still can’t get a match, it’s just a way for them to get you hooked on the game but end up having to buy things in order to continue playing. I quit after level 108 because it just became impossible to win without purchasing help..Version: 1.0.2

Fun but ShadyThis game is very cute and fun and has a lot of potential. Disney has enough money to go easier on the monetary packages. I feel like the game at times throws a lot of the same cards at you so you lose ok purpose. That way, you pay more coins to start again and again. I don’t like how items go up every time you use them it depletes the coins quickly and I feel like the more times you lose the less coins it should be to replay. I like the animated scenes for the movies but I wish that the board you play solitaire on and the music went with the same scene instead of the exact same board no matter which movie theme you’re on. I give it a solid 3 it’s a little sloppy and a bit greedy for Disney..Version: 1.0.1

Expensive and somewhat riggedWhile I love that this game is Disney and see all the characters, there are some issues. Currently I’m on level 128 (for perspective). You have spend coins just to play a level but the coins you get if you win barely cover the cost. For example I pay 4400 coins to play a level and I might win 5000. But if you have to buy the extra cards or a wild card those are over 7500 a piece. A lot of the levels seem to be impossible without spending coins for the bonuses. So this game gets frustrating to me. I haven’t deleted it yet so I guess that’s good. But it can be tough to play when gaining coins isn’t very easy. ALSO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TRADITIONAL SOLITAIRE GAME THIS IS NOT IT. THIS IS “TRIPEAKS” NOT SOLITAIRE.Version: 1.0.2

Almost a perfect gameSo far I am really enjoying the game. I’m at level 63 so far. However, the coins you earn barely cover the cost to start one level so I keep having to wait because I’m not willing to spend real money on a few coins. It’s even worse if I lose because now I need to use more coins to either restart the level or get more cards. It adds a bit of stress to a game that should be stress free so I may wait until a few more updates are out to keep playing and see if anything changes. I do love the design and music though. The app has a lot of potential.Version: 1.0.1

Can’t see to winI love the concept of this game and am addicted to playing it, but it seems like the game odds are very much stacked against you to win. It is obviously encouraging you to buy things since coins don’t last long enough - I’ve purchased two coin packages already (I never spend money on games as a rule) and you’d think it would let me win a little more but nope. I love that it doesn’t have ads but maybe they could give the option to watch ads in order to get more coins. Just seems way too hard to win and I’m debating deleting for that reason. Love the visuals and themes but past that this game could use some tweaks..Version: 1.0.2

GamblingAs much as I think this game has potential, it very much feels like I’m gambling every level I play. Depending on how the cards are “shuffled” dictates whether you get a ton of coins or straight up lose it all. There are games where the process feels a bit more fair, but as Disney (who doesn’t endorse Gambling) this very much feels like gambling. Thank goodness there’s no real money involved. Unless you wanted to spend money for more coins that you just lost by spending a couple thousand for five more cards just for all of them to be an Ace and the. You end up losing anyways. Disney, please fix the odds so it’s a bit more fair and doesn’t set you up for failure..Version: 1.0.1

Loved this game.I really do love this game.. but it’s very frustrating in the fact I have to wait so long..Only because to beat the levels are literally impossible after the 18th level…I’ve already spent 8 dollars and the money goes away in minutes.. it’s not a hard game to do.. it’s impossible to know what ur gonna get. if you just don’t have the right cards to start u lose.. and you have to pay coins to go back and undo the card.. Also the pay to play with coins should be less coins so I can at least play a few hours and not minutes… but overall love the game just wish I can’t play more..Version: 1.0.2

Don’t Make the Levels Cost MoneyThis game is fun, but considering that solitaire contains random chance when it comes to the cards it seems weird that the base levels (not the Mega levels) cost gold to play. This is the game blatantly trying to get you to use micro transactions, paying actual money so you can just… play the game, which is quite the ugly look for Disney. I get the risk/reward of paying for the Mega levels but the fact that I have to wait an hour for 1,800 gold to play a base level is ridiculous and shows how this game is about making you spend money instead of playing solitaire..Version: 1.0.1

Fun but priceyThis game combines two of my favorite things: Solitaire and Disney. The levels are fun but challenging and the bonuses and challenges are interesting. I also like how there are no ads. However, the (mainly) digital cost of levels and boosters is surprising. Other games I've played either don't charge for levels or the cost is low. The boosters are also low. And the cost of neither in those games doesn't go up as the player progresses. Very frustrating that that's not the case in this game. Still enjoy playing it though..Version: 1.0.2

Lose more than winI definitely agree with another review that this game is fun, but you lose way more than you win. It’s not a skill based game so you have to rely on the game giving you the cards you need in order to pass the level. In one turn, the game me one card I needed and the rest of the cards I pulled I couldn’t use so the coins I payed to play were wasted. I also wish that the option to pay for 5 more cards had you confirm before buying because I accidentally hit it sometimes.Version: 1.0.2

MagicalThis game is great for Disney lovers like myself? The music is fantastic and nostalgic, the animations are smooth, and the variety of mini quests/tasks are great! My only drawback with this game is that when you run out of coin, the only ways to get more is to either spend real money for more or wait an hour for a couple thousand coins. There needs to be a way to get coin without spending money when you are out like watching an add or something cause waiting that long is not good. Otherwise I love the game..Version: 1.0.2

I love DisneyI do really enjoy this game. I love solitary and Disney I enjoy making the scenes and playing the card game however I do feel that you spend more than you win. I think it cost too much to play each card game. I feel that it should be a little less to play the card game or at least win a little more to offset the cost and it would also be cool if you could add Disney pin collecting on the game as well. I think that would be another great addition..Version: 1.0.2
