Great appI love this app. It helps me with college courses that are difficult and hard to grasp. It helps me as a person who has a learning disability make the class easier to understand. It summarizes the class that you take and you can make it so it explains it in an easy way and however much information you need to understand the concept. It has mini games and quizzes that make it fun to remember for me and put it into use. Also it has a voice chat or a regular chat and uses the information from the recoding to help you answer your question or clarify a question The only thing I wish it has is a way to put your notes that you did from class that day and the audio that you recorded immediately after class into one area where you can use both of the information to help you even understand the material more instead of two separate things and trying to juggle from one thing to another..Version: 2.35
Like it but needs improvementI like this ap, it seems to transcribe well and i like the chat feature to find things quickly. Im on a trial, considering buying an annual subscription but i may try a few more first. Ive tried about 5 now and this one would be perfect if it operated how it does, but looked/navigated more like wave. The ui leaves a lot to be desired. Buttons sometimes randomly get stuck in the middle (like the chat box or when im in folders sometimes the new folder button will stick in the middle) of the page. It would be great to have more view customization options, like layout, i really dont care for the list view format, would love to have expanded drop down options under each folder so you could see what is in there without fully going into the folder. It would be great to have the chat option that pulled in ALL notes, so i could have a conversation about a subject based on multiple records vs just chatting within the individual note. Small things (prob huge in app development, sorry all, lol) would make this app really exceptional. Love this app! Have an Idea to make it better!!!Ive been using Coconote and really enjoying it, but I had a couple of suggestions that I think could make it even better! It would be incredibly helpful if timestamps were automatically added next to each note to show exactly where that point was mentioned in the audio. For example, if the lecturer says, the Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, there would be a timestamp like16:54 next to the note, making it easy to jump to that exact part of the recording. Additionally, having a visible timer while recording would be great. This way, as the lecture is happening, I can quickly jot down the current timestamp when something important is said, making it much easier to find that section later without needing to scroll through the entire audio..Version: 1.76
Beyond amazing!I use this app for when I go to my doctors because I can no longer rely on my memory and just sit there and take notes while the doctor is speaking takes time away from the visit. This app takes our conversation and breaks it down into sections. Everything you can possibly imagine is in the breakdown. Also, if you speak another language and the appointment or the note is in another language, it will create the same breakdown in that language and even translate into English And then break it down again. The sheer amount of information that the app extracts from the conversation is absolutely amazing. What is also amazing is the support you get a personalized response within 24 to 48 hours. Updates still under reviewUpdate*** this seems to be an issue created by the app in combination with Sign in with Apple. I am able to access the free trail now, I will update further after I have had an opportunity to test the functionality. Iām also going to see how I can get out of the Sign in with Apple- it has created more problems than it has solved for many apps! I signed up for a free week trial. I used sign in through Apple. Any time I open the app it takes me through all the personalization again and asks me to sign up for free trial which since I already have one, it wants me to pay for upgrade immediately. I also tried to access app support instead of writing a review but that just keeps looping me to open app or back to the App Store. I would love to trial the product but if I canāt get past the sign in Iām not paying before I see that it works in the way that I need it to.Version: 2.35
UPDATED: Copy Paste was there and now gone!UPDATE: Added another star. THANK YOU for the update, still wish it was more robust. I now have to go in, spend time changing Fonts & Deleting characters. It would be wonderful it was a clean copy and paste (Summary) to be able to edit from the transcript to the Summary. Iām sure this can be addressed in the next update. Really like the app. Last week when I tried it , it allowed for copy paste. So I purchased. However, donāt like that Iām not able to copy and paste the notes outside the app. As a student there are items that arenāt captured in the recording like diagrams or web links that by being able to move to a document these items can be added in. More free version.I do like this app, but I wish that there was like a free option as well, cause I was only able to record like one note and then I couldnāt continue to record other notes because everything single time I tried it would bring up the payment plans. Coconotes has MASSIVE potentialā¦Coconotes has massive potential ā like, billion-dollar potential if done right. The core idea is incredible: an AI-powered note-taking assistant that records lectures, auto-summarizes, and organizes everything for you. Thatās exactly where modern education and productivity tools should be heading. But manā¦ the execution right now feels half-baked. The iOS integration ā which should be their main focus given how dominant iPhones are in the U.S. ā is rough. Widgets lag even on the newest devices, and they barely offer any customization at all. The app is supposed to make life easier, but instead I find myself wasting half my energy fighting with the interface just to get it to work efficiently. The UI is clean, sure ā but too simple. If youāre building for students, creators, and neurodivergent users (like those of us with ADHD who rely on visual and organizational cues), the app needs way more personalization and flexible layout options. This could be one of the best apps on the App Store with a few core improvements: ā¢ Optimize the iOS widgets and remove lag. ā¢ Add customizable layouts and color options. ā¢ Rethink user workflow ā make it feel like a powerful productivity assistant, not a static note viewer. ABSOLUTELY LOVE but ADD A WORD DOCUMENT FEATURE!I love using coconote for my AP European history class, my teacher makes videos that are really hard to follow but they cover all the material he will cover in class the next day and i find coconote INCREDIBLY helpful because i cannot read his handwriting on the board and I'm a visual learner!!! I especially love that the AI doesn't add anything that sounds very much like AI to the notes like chat gpt would. HOWEVER, I really don't like how you cannot scan a document or input a file for it to make into notes. Amazing for nursingThis app really helps me focus on whatās being said in class and to take other types of additional notes. It allows me to focus on group interactions in class as well without being so obsessed on jotting everything down. It organizes everything for me and transcribes the information recorded in class to an amazing set of notes written down so cleverly. Makes it so much easier to capture things that teacher says in class which are key for exams and that is not posted in the textbook or the online assignments. Additionally, narrows down my workload because then I can just focus on reading the textbook in class or following along and once I just have to read the chapters versus drawing notes up again..Version: 1.74
You Wonāt Regret This AppIf you are a college student do yourself a favor and download this app!! I am in grad school and have several hours of lecture to listen to every week. It would be physically impossible for me to manually take notes. This app is a game changer. It will listen to the recorded lecture as you play it from your PC or a live lecture if you go to class in person and it will create the notes for you in the prettiest format!! YES GOD YESFirst off, let me say that I am not one for leaving reviews. That being said, this app is honestly changing my life. I have dyslexia, and it reeks havoc in my profession. I am very intelligent, but have difficulties listening and understanding when I am in meetings when I am required to take true and accurate meeting minutes. This app is a lifesaver. I am in an average of 4 to 6 meetings a day that I have to take meeting minutes for and this saves me so much time. My old course of action was to record each meeting and then go back and listen to them to be able to accurately document what was said. Now, I donāt have to do that. Great tool!This is an amazing tool for helping study at school, get more out of lectures, or retaining the most information from a meeting. I personally use it during lectures at college to record and then make me a note about the main topics discussed. I have adhd and there are times where my brain wonders off on certain topics and Iāll want to look up more information on that in class, so now I will. After the lecture I can go back over the note created through this app and see if I missed any information during these times, so I develop a better understanding of all the topics. Good app bad pricing modelI like the app overall; it works quite well for lectures with professors, even those who have accents. However, I dislike the pricing model; doubling the cost for each decrease in the payment cycle is absurd. I understand that a monthly plan might cost more per month than an annual plan, but it shouldnāt be more than twice the cost per month. Additionally, I donāt think the trial period provides enough time to decide if you like the app before having to pay a lot of money to continue, only to possibly find out that you donāt like it after all. Conclusion: I unfortunately will not be continuing use of the app but I think for many students this is a great resource if you ignore the pricing structure. Outstanding Customer ServiceI was not able to use the program because of some complexities with my corporate workflow. Which is too bad because in the limited time I used it performed excellently. When I went to cancel, the owner of the company reached out to me and asked me why I was canceling and what they could do better. They refunded my money completely. Lee was a complete gentleman, and I have 100% confidence that this is both a good product and has excellent ownership. I will be recommending their product to the company that I work for and hopefully I will be able to use it once again. They did not make the sale, but they did win over a convert. What an app!!First, I am a real person, this is a real review and no they are not paying me! This app is a game changer! Iām studying for nursing and this app as truly made a difference in recording my lectures and putting them into notes that is easy to understand and to follow. Complete game changer for my whole householdMy sister is ADHD and dyslexic while my mom and I are AuDHD with my mom also being dyslexic. This app genuinely helped my mom so much with a work project she had that she included the video of the podcast made from her notes in her presentation for a product sheās proposing. She even wants a family premium plan for all of us because of how well this works! I donāt even normally write app reviews, especially for AI products, but I really have nothing but praise for this app- only thing I could think of that can be improved is some more voice options for the podcast. Feedback on coconotesMy feedback is overall I really like the tool. I do wish I can add photos of information to help with context , even after the meeting to help me clarify more from the presentation that I misunderstood or have more questions. So sharing the slides with coconotes after the meeting is equally important as prior. Additionally when I ask questions to clarify, or to help explain something in detail, it does and I want it saved and it doesnāt save unless I ask to please save it. AmazingOk I never write reviews but this app has undergone so many great changes and bug fixes. I have the premium feature annually, and the buying process was so simple. Ok I am not into like absolutely sucking up to apps and junk, but this has truly helped me with my college lectures! Good but can be great.Thereās a lot to love here and have been using it for almost a year, enjoying the improvements. It would be great if there was a desktop version that records, as well as time coded notes that allow you to skip around the recording directly, similar to Noted. That feature alone would make this a four star app for me. Good but can be greatI really like the general overview and layout that makes up the note however the app overall can be better. I like that it automatically makes a title for the note, it splits it up into sections/topics. 1. I see that now you can download the recording which is nice becuase one of my notes wasnt complete and you could tell got cut off so I will try to reupload. 2. It would be amazing if you could click on a bullet within the note and it takes you to that particular part in the recording so you can relisten. There is technology that can do this as notablity has this feature. 3. Customize the amount of flashcards or quiz questions that are made. 4. Folders to organize the various subjects/classes 5. Ai is AmazingWith the world changing as fast as it is, I am finding being the HitL (Human in the Loop) is more and more advantageous than ever. Tool like Coconote make life just a little bit easier as I cram multiple meetings, webinars, and in-person interviews into my calendar. I know the ads are aimed at college students, but this is a great way to help keep you conversations from just about any meeting or lecture or whatever recorded and have the brief-notes at the ready! Always new surprises, frequent updates!Let me set the scene: Itās nearly 1am, Iām half awake, and grinding assignments with the help of this app. While scrolling through a summary of one of my lectures, I see a small hint message show up for a split second and then fade away. At this point I was 100% convinced that i was hallucinating and should have just called it a night, as the hint appeared to say āmake a brainrot videoā. To my absolute shock, when I clicked the button my lecture summary was being played over a subway surfers letās play being read out by a tts. In the 1 minute long video, I comprehended more about the topic than I did taking notes through a whole lecture 12 hours prior. This is just one example of the constant updates this app gets, adding tons of quirky little features that help students with ADHD really hammer in course content. I love that I can record my lectures then it creates a full transcript (accurately) and create an outline of what the lecture covered. A great time saverHave been using this app for about a week or so and really have enjoyed the time itās saved me on taking notes so that I can stay engaged with the lecture conversation. It gets a little redundant sometimes, but overall does a great job. One thing that would be helpful is that when I move a note to a folder that it removes it from the homepage, so that I donāt have to scroll thru all notes to see which ones I have filed or not filed. Absolutely great but equally annoying.I paid for the yearly subscription a few months ago after having used it a few times in the last few years. I was excited to finally have the access I really wanted with the unlimited subscription. The only thing I had a complaint about was the pop up every time I would log in to upgrade to the team option. I do not need a team account but Iād just hit the X and keep it moving. Everything was fine until today when I went to transcribe something and it took me through prompts as if I was new to the app. As if that werenāt enough, the popups started but this time it was for a āweek trialā. Iāve already paid for it so that made no sense. I went to my email to confirm I had paid for it because they really had me thinking I was losing it. Great tech, even better service.I downloaded and started the 7 day trial as a test to see if I wanted to purchase for my college-aged son. I recorded a meeting at work and the notes were better than I have ever taken myself. Unfortunately, I forgot to unsubscribe and the annual purchase posted to my account. I messaged the developer and he responded promptly and allowed me to transfer my account to my sonās phone. It was a seamless process and communication was always responsive and helpful. A good app, but it needs some more stuff added to itI think you guys need to put the pause and unpause button when listening to a lecture at the bottom of the screen and as the person that scrolls through the transcript that pause and unpause button will go with it. Because if someone is trying to make notes and has to pause, I lose my spot where I was listening because I have to scroll all the way back up just to pause. So helpfulI love this app so much!!! I use it for my anatomy class to have more summarized notes from the lecture as well as the notes I took. It condenses and summarizes the info perfectly to where itās much less overwhelming to study. It also makes the flash cards and quizzes for me, which have been so helpful in studying!! Great for 1:1s and ConvosUsing this app for 1:1s and drop in meetings as a VP of Sales is a life saver! I use a google form for 1:1s, then just activate Coconote to record the meeting. Iāve found it helpful to search what weāve talked about, and using transition and closing statements in meetings it will create new sections of the outline. For instance āso our takeaways from this meeting areā¦ā then state the commitments or next steps and it gives a great recap that can be sent to others. SUPER HELPFUL! Great appIf itās a long lecture, do not use it. Iāve recorded a couple lectures that were 2-3 hours and it canāt take in that much information and make quality notes. I recommend take the information and doing 3-4 recordings of long lectures and the quality of notes goes up. The quizzes and note cards are nice quality checks. One problem I have though is it only generates one quiz and one set of flash cards. I wish it could generate more than one quiz to truly test all the information that the app takes in. I would love to see this AI -integrated app be able to take auditory-verbal input and then, in addition to the written summary or transcription into notes, to also create a visual graphic that organizes the information (think graphic webs, graphic organizers, etc). If the reverse could happen too (eg, upload a graphic/PDF, etc) and the app converts it to auditory information and narrative text. Neat Service, App Needs WorkThe service that this app accesses and provides is very useful. Unfortunately the features that are useful seem to disappear. Worse, the text handling in this app is abysmal: cannot copy formatted text, must edit the notes in an arcane markup language, system text auto-replacement is somehow mishandled by the app ending up instead of auto-expand or auto-correct, it is universally auto-corrupt when ending notes. I must copy notes out, open in TextEdit, perform my edits, then replace the notes in the app. Very poor experience in that regard..Version: 1.73

The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because of the fact you have to pay yearly. 100 dollars is a lot to pay at once and for a broke college kid I can not give up 100 dollars for a year when I will not use it the whole year. Great app for medical board studyingI saw an ad for this app on Instagram and I was skeptical but decided to download. I must say I am amazed at what this app can do. I have been studying for my cardiovascular board exam and found the task of making study guides and flash cards overwhelming and daunting. Now I donāt have to do either I just have to study what was created! This is a studying game changer! Suggestions: I wish that we could create folders. Right now I have a long list of notes but it would be nice if I could create folders based on topic. It would also be nice if there was a search function. It would also be nice if we could upload more than one file at a time using the web version. Uploading one at a time slows things down. Great app, just i have an older IOS on my ipadI have an older iOS on my iPad so Iām only able to use it on my phone so I canāt download it on there but overall I think the app is great. I would like if theyāre longer quizzes like Quizlet and tests. Itās okJust a heads up for anyone else in an academic situation. This is a solid app to give you an āoutlineā. If youāre using it for meetings or something simple, you should be ok. If youāre hoping for a detailed transcription it wonāt do it. The transcription it fits provide has zero punctuation, often includes words that are completely different than what was actually said. An hour lecture provided me with less detail than the PowerPoint slides. I was hoping for so much more. And exporting the notes is a nightmare with formatting. Expensive for full version..BUT easy recording and clear notesThis is the best thing i got from coconote as a student. It helps to consolidate that 3 hour YouTube lecture into one nice and clear notes. And it gives a folder option to save notes. Game and quiz option looks like as if it will match to your note, but standard games ā¦didnāt help much. Limited questions in Quiz. Great AppIām currently a university student and I have been using this app all year! Paying for this app in my opinion is so worth it! I really appreciate how I can ask the notes questions after I upload my lecture, along with the practice quizzes that help me ace my exams. I donāt think I would have survived without this app and it takes so much stress off of trying to have to write everything down in class. If you have any early morning lecture this app is perfect because you wonāt miss anything and itās all summarized for you in only a page or two. Great! When it worksā¦I paid for the full version of this app because with my free trial I found it was so extremely helpful! I love that once your lecture or whatever youāre taking notes on is recorded, you can create quizzes, flash cards, and even a podcast to study from. You can also set reminders to study the material. I find this app super helpful because Iāve always struggled with filtering the content I actually need vs what is filler information. This app does that for you! My only annoyance with this app is sometimes it just decides to erase all of the information that you had previously recorded, which then fails to upload my content into a note and Iāve lost all my lecture. Hopefully this bug is fixed soon, since I paid so much money for it to work!.Version: 2.38
Highly recommendDefinitely improved my grades. It has made exam prep so much easier and smoother. And I am saving a lot of time for note writing. Absolutely love this app but it lags and can be a bit slow.First the app does freeze a lot so it might just be a bug. Other than that this is absolutely 100 percent worth paying for. I literally just recommended it to my entire class. My teacher doesnāt speak good English (itās his 3rd language) and somehow the app caught all of what he says. No one in my classroom are ever able to take good notes since we can bairly understand him. So I thought it would take a miracle for the app to work. Red flagsI was curious to see what this app might be able to do as I am neurodivergent. I would like to have readable notes since my handwriting is terrible. However, you were required to set up an account with them and must agree to a seven day trial without any disclosure of what you will be charged for any kind of subscription which is a huge red flag for me. I would not recommend this app because it fails to disclose what it will charge you right at the very beginning so you cannot make an informed choice about what you're getting..Version: 2.16
OverallI downloaded this app at the beginning of September, when they offered the saleā¦ itās a quite pricy app, but it was $112 with the sale. The app so far has helped me so much with organization of my notes, and has taken away so much worries regarding missing a note from the lecture. However since Iām an undergraduate, Iām constantly using this app/web browser with school or work.
