*From the team at ORIGINATOR - the creators of the beloved Endless Alphabet and Sesame Street's Monster at the End of This Book and Another Monster.... Originator is a team of passionate artists and engineers dedicated to the best education+entertainment apps for kids.*

As a follow-up to Endless Alphabet, set the stage for early reading success with Endless Reader! This app introduces "sight words", the most commonly used words in school, library, and children's books. Kids need to recognize these words by sight in order to achieve reading fluency. Recognizing sight words is advantageous for beginning readers because many of these words have unusual spelling, cannot be sounded out using phonics knowledge, and often cannot be represented using pictures.

Kids will have a blast learning sight words and their context and usage with the adorable Endless monsters. Each word features an interactive word puzzle with letters that come alive, and then a sentence puzzle with words that become what they describe. See the word "dog" as a barking dog, and the word "up" reach for the sky!

** NOTE: You must be online and have sufficient disk space while running the app to get all words in the app. **

Features:
- 6 words free to try with additional word packs available for purchase.
- Delightful animations reinforce sight recognition of words in a fun and interactive way.
- Word puzzles reinforce spelling using lower-case letters and the sentence puzzles teach definition and usage (in addition to sight recognition).
- 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus makes letters and words react in an extra special way!
- Endless Reader was designed with your children in mind. There are no high scores, failures, limits or stress. Your children can interact with the app at their own pace.

Endless Reader App Comments & Reviews

Endless Reader Positive Reviews

Needs a progressive learning featureMy 3 year old loves the game but really only wants to do his favorite words, there are a bunch he just hasn’t touched. While it’s nice the game is open ended I think it would benefit from a mode that progressively builds up a vocabulary. Do one word to unlock the rest. Revisit previous words repeatedly before moving on. Or at the very least some rewards for completing new words! Also it’s frustrating that words can be written out of order-that isn’t very helpful for spelling! You should require that words are spelled left to right, like in Wordplay! Also as others have said, optionally remove the repeat button so kids have to work to get the animation..Version: 3.7

Almost flawless sight reading 4 toddlersThoughtful animations, super effective sounds paired with each movable element on the screen (ie sound of letter playing when child drags it across screen to spell a word), seamless scrolling through available words & fast loading times make this app one of the best I’ve seen for child with ASD (or any toddler). My ONLY suggestion would be to somehow highlight the sentence being read (in sync with the reading) so that the child can easily and intuitively read along - seems like this would really tie the whole experience together for maximum impact. My daughter LOVES the app, but I echo another review in that she often just waits to hit the replay button to watch the animation again. If the sentence text could somehow dominate the screen or come alive a bit more during the final reading, that would make this the best educational app I’ve ever come across..Version: 3.5

Needs option to turn off repeat button! This app is an excellent tool for teaching toddlers how to read! My 2.5 year old can read a lot of the words in this app! Animations are super engaging. However, I really really wish we could have option to TURN OFF REPEAT BUTTON!! She tends to keep repeating the animation portions more than 5 times, and if I don’t intervene, she will keep repeating, which means she is not interacting or learning and just watching! She tends to get frustrated if I keep prompting her to move forward. Other than this grievance, the app is pretty nice..Version: 3.6

Best apps for kids learning and funI’m a middle school math teacher so when I was looking for great ways for my daughter to learn, I found Endless. We adore them all - my daughter loves them, which is more important but she has no idea the immense education she’s getting as well, which I think is the best. The fact that it has the spelling, phonics, and fun videos where kids are also learning sentence structure just blows me away. Thanks for taking fun education to a whole new level! I usually don’t buy in apps but this is the best money I’ve ever spent on the Endless apps..Version: 3.8

Love this app!My son has struggled to read with his developmental delays. This app is wonderful & so much fun! It's great to have another tool to encourage letter sound recognition & sight words. Not sure why there is some negative reviews on here about needing light up words and letters needing to be placed in order. Kids don't learn in uniform. They do much better with non restrictive, creative learning. The whole point of grabbing the letters is to hear the letter sound, see the letter and then create the word. Which is then put in a sentence. It's about sound frequency and letters. We love it and it's been paramount in my child's development!.Version: 3.4

Great, but wish it had one extra settingOur boys love this app, and it has helped them identify words in books. We’ve paid for the complete set and I feel it was worth the money. My only complaint is that they enjoy the animations so much that they’ll spell out a word and then replay the animation 10+ times before moving onto another word. I would love to have the option to hide the replay button so they have to spell the word again if they want to rewatch the animation..Version: 3.4

Love this app so much!We got this app when my daughter was two. She needed help dragging the letters to the spot so we’d play together. She’s been playing it for a year and a half now and every time she plays she learns more. She now know her letter sounds, she can spot read the words! She loves watching the cute monsters do stuff over and over like bake cookies! We ended up buying the $15 upgrade. Worth every penny!! We also bought the endless numbers and the robot game from this app maker she loves and learns all three apps!.Version: 3.4

Awesome! Paid version. This app is pretty much pre-p and K courses both PLUS in one app. It teaches phonics, sounds, pronunciation, enunciation, example in a sentence and is very interactive. You can chose from 3 level many many words nice graphics and clear readers! I had to come comment even when we’ve had it for a long time I never realized how good this app is made, I can now get my daughter to stay learning to read while we play together with this app. Thank y’all!.Version: 3.7

After 5 kids - If I could pick 1 app this is it!All 5 of my kids used this. It is the closest thing to teaching to read on autopilot, and they enjoy it. To give you an idea of how well kids respond to it, my now 11 and 14yo daughters saw their youngest brother start using it the other day and got excited like they just saw an old friend. That 14yo just got a high school academic scholarship btw so thanks endless reader for being part of a solid foundation :).Version: 3.7

Thank you designers, creators! Our little guy who’s four is special. Timothy wasn’t forming word sounds, or even beginning to letter. This fantastic, adorable, clever app has helped our sweet Down Syndrome angel really progress! He gets certain pride and joy from the animations, sounds, and monsters like Rocky when he does each exercise correctly. Truly, such a blessing to his learning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will support your apps 100% and recommend them highly!.Version: 3.2

Love It!!😍😍😍😍‼️‼️ATTENTION!!!!‼️‼️🛑 READ BEFORE GETTING THE APP!!!!🙀🙀 When I was 3 years old, I played the game on the Ipad and I couldn’t stop playing!! Based on endless alphabet, Endless Reader makes you read words. If you don’t know any words, this is the app for you. If you are a kid, Make sure you download the app. If you have any questions about the app, please make a review. If you played the game, make sure to rate the app. There is other apps and stickers made by the maker who made this app: Endless Alphabet Endless Numbers Endless Wordplay Endless Spanish Math Tango Grades K5 Endless Monsters Endless Monsters Ages 0 to 5 years old 100 plus actives Thank you for reading my review about why you should get the app. I recommend this app for kids. This is the best app in the world!!.Version: 3.8

My 5 year old daughter loves! She really loves this app. I tried purchasing more but it doesn’t seem to go through. I double click to purchase then it just sort of shuts down. I tried reaching out to the app developer but it went to a warning page instead saying someone was impersonating the original site and the link wasn’t safe ????? I’d really love to buy more but can’t seem too..Version: 3.8

Wonderful! My son is having issues with his letter sounds and recognition. This app has helped him so much. It sounds out each letter in a fun way that he likes to mimic. And then he gets to put the words into sentences. There are no pop up ads to frustrate me or him. He asks to play this everyday and has no clue how much he is learning. I can’t say enough about this app and the great learning tool that it is if your kid is needing a little extra help..Version: 3.4

He’s reading! My son is almost 6 and in kindergarten, we suspect he has autism and is currently going through screening. I heard about this app and decided to drop the 30$ on the full version. After just a few weeks he’s starting to recognize most of the two and three letter words and is even able to write the words from memory. He loves practicing on this app and I’m sure it will only get better!.Version: 3.4

Homeschool mom and love itI downloaded this at the beginning of the school year to help keep my toddler busy with something other than a tv show during school time for her older sibling, didn’t expect much. So happily surprised with how much this has helped our 2yo learn so many words, letters, and letter sounds! She loves it and is reading site words and knows a lot of the alphabet from it!.Version: 3.7

Great appThe only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is that the words should light up or be highlighted as they're read in a sentence and it would be helpful if they repeated how the word was spelled after the letters are dragged in place. Other than that this app is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it. My 2 year old loves it!.Version: 2.9

My 2 year old LOVES thisMy 2 year old loves this app. I was almost too cheap to buy it, but I’m glad I did. He recognizes almost all the words. I even wrote the words on paper and he can recognize them (without the pictures). I posted it on social media and I got a lot of friends asking how he learned them. We just purchased the endless numbers and doing the Spanish trial version :).Version: 3.2

Still downloading complete pack after 3 daysWe’re big fans of Originator and have purchased complete packs for the Endless apps that we have (123, ABC, Reader, and Wordplay), but Reader has been stuck on downloading words for the past three days, even if I leave the app open and on (connected to WiFi and >100 mbps cable connection). It’s been pretty frustrating, and I can only assume that the pack is either utterly massive, or there are issues with Originator’s server, neither of which are assuring..Version: 3.5

2.5 year old (hyperlexic) loves this gameMy two and a half year old loves this. He’s got about fifty words down in the last few months. It’d probably be more but he loves some of the animations a lot and will do the same words over and over to see them. Thank you for this simple and effective game..Version: 3.8

Great app, wish sequential spelling option availableFantastic app, but recently downloaded the school edition of Endless Spanish and love the sequential spelling option which forces the child to sound out the word. Wish this app would be updated to include this option as I don’t want to spend another $30. But otherwise fantastic app!.Version: 3.5

So loved for over two years now!!My now 4 year old started using this (the free version ) app at 18 months and loves it!! At 3 years he still loved it so I finally broke in and bought an expansion. I then found the numbers and into age 4 he’s still love all of it!! Great job designers!!! From the little bit of free to the design of it hands down amazing!!.Version: 3.2

Fun word playThis app is very well done it’s educational and my son loves it. My only complaint is that they put the expansion packs for purchase in the queue with the words and my son gets stuck on wanting to open and purchase them. Otherwise this app is perfect and fun for us all to play together.Version: 3.6

My kid loves it but I'm not sure he's really learning anythingMy kid likes this game a lot. But I'd like there to be a setting to require words to be spelled in order. He already know his letters so he's just dragging them onto the model word in whatever order he pleases. He can't possibly be learning anything useful about spelling or reading. This feature seems so essential that I'd gladly pay extra for it -- although honestly, I can't believe it's not the default..Version: 3.1

Great Customer ServiceI had some trouble with an app malfunction and the support staff were so attentive, patient and kind. They helped me to fix the issue to get the app working again, including over the weekend. My daughter loves this app and it’s especially helpful as we’re home schooling (Covid restrictions). Thank you so much!!.Version: 3.5

The endless monsters are so coolOriginator, you have got to make a full-length movie about the endless monsters. They are extremely awesome. Also, One of your word videos will be better with the Willhelm scream if the boys get hurt or something bad happens! also put the Wilhelm scream on the movie..Version: 3.6

Works amazingly!I wish I could sing praises on how amazing this app is! My 3 year old is learning the words and learning how to read as well as putting them together in a sentence. It also has helped her pronounce the words effortlessly. This app was so worth it! Best app in the App Store for kids learning to read. I promise.Version: 3.4

Worth it!!So this app is good but it does give u 5 levels to play just FIVE it’s not enough levels to play but it’s much worth it then the Endless academy because the Endless academy lets u play all the games u make in to one big game but it lets u play 2 levels only and that’s why I give this game a five star..Version: 3.4

Excellent app for my special needs kidMy son has Down syndrome and is in kindergarten. He’s been doing this app for a couple years. When his kindergarten teacher gave him a list of sight words, we’d find in on the app and spell it. His teachers and therapists were so impressed!.Version: 3.7

Good app for early readingThe app is pretty cute and my 3-year-old seems to enjoy it. I think some of the games he would get a bit more out of once he’s a bit older, so just might have hold on to it until then..Version: 3.8

Please limit video replaysThis has helped my autistic son learn the alphabet and all the letter sounds. My only issue is he can stem playing the videos over and over again without working through the letters and words. Please limit it to one or maybe three times max. Or let parents set a limit for it..Version: 3.4

So educational and fun!My 14 month old uses this app along with the Endless Alphabet app. He has already started learning so many new sounds and words! Definitely recommend, worth the money to download a pack of more words! I can see my son using this app for years to come..Version: 3.4

I adore this app!I adore this app, it has taught my kids in the class as well as my son how to read sight words in the most fun and interactive way! The only thing I would love to see added is the words to light up as the sentence is read, so the children can follow along..Version: 3.6

Forgot the number 9I those this app. It is terrific for my son. He struggles with talking and has a very small vocabulary for a 3 year old and this game has helped so much. I appreciate the consistency although, the number nine appears to be missing. I found 1-8 and 10 but I did not see nine. I wish that you would add it please..Version: 3.2

One of our favorite apps!We love this high quality learning app. All of my kids have enjoyed it and I would much rather pay for good quality rather than need to navigate ads. Worth every penny. We own the fully expansion of almost all of their aps..Version: 3.3

More words please.I know it was hard for Trey to get every single word from the dictionary to the game, so why don’t we have more words like a, able, above, actor, actually, add, aid, air, already, also, angry, ant, apricot, aquarium, arm, art, assistant, bad, balloon, bath, bedtime, beg, bend, and more words? That would be great!.Version: 3.8

Good but it can be betterWe brough all 3 level word pack for this app and used for half year. Today when I play with my daughter sone pronunciations of letter are very robotic. For example the word myself, the l sound lalala. It should sounded ell instead but the system simply uses the default pronunciation. This makes learn much harder for learn the flow of pronunciation..Version: 3.8

Really funI use to play this when I was 2-5 years old. I loved it. It taught me a lot of words. I am 12 years old now, but ever once in a while I come back on and play just for the good memories. It’s a useful app for young children and I recommend it! 😊.Version: 3.6

Would like an updateUsed for three kids before school started. All love/loved. (Started back in 2016) After child started school, would really like the option to make a list of just the words they are studying that week, so we don’t have to search for them on two different list or in the ALL function every day. Add the word “A” and “i” largest list is for the second 9 weeks of school with 37 word. We start with a small group and keep adding every week..Version: 3.8

Genius idea!It really is! This application got my not so curious in words or letters child to give this one a try! Simple but smart & I am looking forward exploring more words & different levels of this application. Thank you for this great, fun learning tool..Version: 3.1

2 year old has all but masteredDaughter started using at 18 months. By 2 we unlocked all levels. At 2+ she was manipulating multiple letters at once. At 2.5 she is on to Wordplay. It’s absolutely astonishing.Version: 3.6

Teach your kids to read.I bought this app for my two year old eight years ago. Today he is reading at 6th grade level and is the best reader and speller in 2nd and 3rd grades. My two year old grandson is now learning to read. Love this app..Version: 3.4

Slow down, add highlightI like the app but it needs to highlight when the words that are being read and also a way to slow down the sentence being read because it is fast for my four year old..Version: 3.6

My granddaughter’s entire childhoodI bought this for my granddaughter and she loved it and learned a lot from it and didn’t even think she was learning because it was so fun!.Version: 3.6

Amazing app with one fatal flaw. This app, and many of the other endless games are great and have a really effective way of teaching the letters and words. Unfortunately they are completely “open” for exploration which means that my daughter simply selects the words that she likes the animations for...and skips over the rest. It would be much better if there was a way to lock the game down and guide the kid through a set of sight words systematically. I don’t let her play it any more because she literally just goes back to the same 3-4 words over and over and over. It’s annoying..Version: 3.4

HOLY JESUS!You predicted nZ…!.Version: 3.8

MY LORDG o o d m o n s t e r s..Version: 3.5

GreatNeed words like friend and plane.Version: 3.4

:]This game thought me how to read when I was around 5-6 I have dyslexia and it helped so much just wanted to say that :).Version: 3.6

Best everThis is the greatest thing we’ve come across on the App Store. Our 3 year old and 19 month old love this. I even LOVE it! Wish this was around when I was little.Version: 3.8

I used to play thisWhen I was little it’s so cute and it is educational I recommend!!!.Version: 3.8

HahahaWhen i was 4 i use to have this game on my moms phone and i used to make the can sound to annoy all my 20 year old sibling.Version: 3.8

Love the appI Love this app, i use it for both of my kids. The developer definitely took time to create it and its very user friendly..Version: 3.8

It’s funny how it speeds up.Lol.Version: 3.7

Nostalgia.Nostalgia..Version: 3.7

OkReally good app.Version: 3.7

Great App!!Our son is 2.5 and loves this app. It has been teaching him how to spell and he finds the monster phonics hilarious! Really well made..Version: 3.7

From 4 to 7 year old kidsThis is a good game. Thanks for creating the game.Version: 3.6

Amazing appThis app taught my daughter to read before she was even in kindergarten. It’s made grade one a worry free breeze, her teacher can’t believe how well she reads for a 6 yr old. My son is 3 and is already sight reading words. Super fun game, both kids love it..Version: 3.5

No sound.How!?!?!?!?!?!?!!}!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!.Version: 3.5

FantasticFantastic app that I’ve enjoyed playing with my toddler as he learns his first words. It’s so exciting watching him figure out how to use the app on his own. He loves the characters, effects, and animations.Version: 3.5

Wonderful App!!My daughter of 5 loves using this app! Well worth the price in my opinion..Version: 3.5

Amazing appThis is perfect for kids when they really need that focus on learning words.Version: 3.4

FfffffffbbbbbI used to have this game and it was amazing.Version: 3.4

Nice but expansive40$ for a mobile app ? come on ! otherwise, it's great.Version: 2.0

Great, but missing some important words! My son and I love this app but it’s missing some tricky works like ‘through’ and ‘thought’. Please add these!.Version: 3.4

GreatHelping my son whomhas delay in speech. Thanks!.Version: 3.4

Awesome!I love this app, my kids love this app, everyone loves this app! Fun learning!!!.Version: 3.4

Love this appHey there! My daughter is 4 with autism and she’s been playing this game plus the others for a while now and I’ve gotta applaud you guys for making these apps so much fun and educational for the kids. My daughter loves the sounds that comes from the game and giggles endlessly lol <3 “You can have a piece of cake after your dinner”, is her favourite saying I’d say ☺️ Thanks so much guys! Keep up the amazing work!.Version: 3.2

Love it!Both my kids love it, age 5 and 2. It’s easy enough for the two year old to use, even if she isn’t quite sure what she’s doing yet and my loves to show me what the words do when you complete them.Version: 3.2

Reader of a reflectionOMG this was my fav app when I was a kid. The laughs that just never end. This would be my top pic if I had to pick this app between the most popular app In the world it would be this one. And getting to review this is just so amazing!!! Five star straight up. You have laughs that never end. Like now I’m in grade three And realizing what it’s like to get this app back. Like I can’t Wait to get this app AGAIN. And I’m only 8 and this app helped me so much I’m on level T . I can’t believe I get to do a review of this. thanks the creator of this app..Version: 3.1

Great customer service, great app!I had sent a message to Originator Support because the app was crashing frequently on our old iPad. Within a couple of weeks, there was an update that corrected this - now my preschooler can "play reader on my taaaablet!" all she likes. This is a fantastic app with great animation, easy interface, and an intuitive way for kids to learn..Version: 1.4

Encourages Early Reading! This app is amazing. Out of all of the apps on iTunes, this is by far the best tool for encouraging early readers..Version: 1.0

Highly recommend itWell designed app. It makes learning numbers fun and easy... pricey extended package but worth it.Version: 2.5

Files too large, game repetitiveIt takes up almost all of the space on my phone if you buy all the levels. I was hoping the game would change a bit with the more difficult levels but it's just the same thing over and over. I wouldn't recommend purchasing past level 1..Version: 2.5

Really cuteReally cute app, helps explain simple words with monsters acting out sentences. The letters make interesting noises, well thought out my son loves it..Version: 2.1

GoodOne of my kids' favourites..Version: 2.0

LOVE this app!!!This is the best educational app I've come across. My first EVER App Store purchase. Learning letter sounds and sight words is so much fun! My 5 and 3yr old really enjoy th stories, silly sounds and monsters! :).Version: 2.0

My kids LOVE it!This app is amazing and truly helped my son progress with speech and knowing his letters. We took him to a speech therapist and that didn't do anything compared to their apps! Highly recommend it for every child..Version: 2.0

This app rocks!Wish I had this when I was a kid.Version: 1.9.1

Great App, highly recommend it!My son is easily bored with most apps. This one really keeps him entertained and he's learning everyday!.Version: 1.8

Great appWe love the endless series. Very interactive, funny for little one. My daughter is 2 1/2 and already knows some words from this app..Version: 1.8
