Robinhood: Trading & Investing App Comments & Reviews

Robinhood: Trading & Investing Positive Reviews

ROBBING-YOU!!! Is Much More Accurate!!!!!I had a cash account, which means I could only use my own money to buy and sell stocks. Robinhood is very deceptive in the way their app is set up. When you make a deposit it intentionally notifies you that your deposit and/or transfer was instant and COMPLETE neither of which are actually true!!! Your money is actually still being transferred and Robinhood is stepping in essentially as a loan shark and “fronting” you the money so if anything happens or for whatever reason your bank decides to stop or reverse the transfer they will then refer to you as a free loader and lock you out of your account for 99 days even if or when you get the issue resolved with your bank and cover all the money you initially believed you had already initially and INSTANTLY deposited. You’ll be forced to sell off all of your investments even if you have to do so on a bearish day and lose hundreds or even thousands of dollars and then deposit even more money to cover what you were forced to take a lose on and even then after all of that you will still be locked out of your account even if you have a billion dollars, even if you’re worth more than Robinhood itself you will not be able to have access to your account for at least 3 whole months. Robinhood is not at all like Robinhood it’s the complete opposite in fact. They’re stealing from the little guys to enrich themselves and the wealthy! Complete scam artist and crooks in every sense of the word..Version: 2025.50.0

Love the App, Still Has a Small Issue (?)I love the list feature and am using it to quickly browse what I’m interested in. However dragging and dropping the lists in order to arrange how they appear on the home page doesn’t always work correctly. I cannot change the position of the top one at all, and not all of them will stick when I rearrange them. I am trialing gold and I will probably not continue it if this doesn’t change because it is a real dealbreaker. Wasn’t sure how to submit feedback on the app’s functionality so hopefully this can reach the right people. Besides that, I love the app so far. I find it to be very aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. There’s a good amount of information available in app even without gold so a newbie investor like me can dip their toes in without feeling blind. I love the message notification system, I think a good feature might be optional responses generated from holding down on the chat bubble or double tapping it, because I wanted to see extended order information for a previous transaction and couldn’t access that through the notifications the same way there are responses for the most recent message. Just an idea, and it’s really just nitpicking because you can easily find the order history in your profile menu. I also like how it can easily be connected to truebill to track my investments with the budget I’m creating. I’d give the app 4.9 stars. Just wouldn’t feel comfortable paying for an app that I have a functional problem with. Still would absolutely recommend! There’s a reason it’s a popular app..Version: 2022.18.0

Bad BrokerageTheir option market software is broken. If you click on the sell option on a call or put, you have to manually switch it twice, otherwise you will be buying a call or put and their customer service is trash. They’ll tell you to pound rocks. Their cash account isn’t worth it unless you have 30K and buy in to the gold program @ $5 a month. They do have an excellent margin account value with the lowest apr. That is good. However, unless you have 25K or more in the account you are stuck with a day trader limit that they aren’t flexible on and will do nothing to help you if you accidentally go over 3 trades. They don’t have CEF funds. They don’t have a DRIP program that buys into discount at NAV. Their trade market in your ability to see the market value at what people are bidding on is limited. They say they have level 2, but it’s really just level one and you can only see what other Robinhood buyers and sellers are bidding, not what other brokerages are doing. Their option market is also limited to divisables of $5, meaning people with better brokerages can outbid your option price by $1 or $3 values. They also don’t cash sweep any money if you sell a put. So if you sell a $3k put and it last for 6 months, none of that $3k that is set aside is gaining interest. It just sits there and you can’t touch it for 6 months. Did I say their customer service is trash? They don’t care about you!.Version: 2025.14.0

Super easy tradingThe app is very user friendly. Checking each symbol is straightforward. And when selected on a symbol you can scroll down and see the purchase, holding and selling % of a the stock. On top of that you can also go further down the page and select options to look at other symbols in the same category as the symbol selected as well it shows how many symbols reside in that category. When buying a stock you can put in the price you want to spend allowing you to purchase a percentage of a stock depending on the price of the stock. I was personally able to buy percentages of Nokia at a little over $4 a share. Selling is just as easy as buying and regardless to buying or selling you can wait and watch the price of the stock to move where you want to sell it if the change matters enough to you. Which if you buy penny stocks in bulk like me it can be the difference of $5-$10. All in all Robinhood has been great I can’t wait until I get my next check so I can make more money in daily trading. Keep your eyes on the market and level headed about the deals you make. Loosing money is just as easy as making it. Once trading hours are closed there is no selling your stocks. You take the hit until they go back up or you sell and ride out another stock to make up the difference. I had to do that with RCL buying tsla at $986 and selling it a little over $1000. Happy trading to all investors. Hope you try Robinhood because there is no strings and no hoops. Just get your money in now and trade the best deals you can find..Version: 8.31.0

The best way to train...you have to put skin in the gameRobinhood is great for all types of investors..I don’t recommend putting any money in till you done your thorough research.. and I mean there’s so much to lose and so much. To gain The five dollar membership is A feasible price to pay, especially for all the extra information that is provided. With a Little research, and a lot of listening, there’s really no limit to what you are capable of. Whether you want to just fitter around or take 5k you can afford to hold out a year, do you obviously have to check regularly to make sure you dot nose dive...and it happens. My suggestion, hopefully make a couple hundred in a few months ( after months of research of course) and use that to see if you are picking your stocks well. Then you never lose, only the possibility to gain...and it’s all about anticipating how businesses are going to react at this point in time. But that will change. In the next year Blue chips making us tons, will fall possibly be making impossible choices. At this point in life it gets my blood pumpin. Just because it doesn’t go your way one day, the next could change your life. Don’t be scared to do it by yourself.. you are your own best teacher. But don’t completely forget about it and lose it all either. It’s game. A real life live or die eAat or don’t eat game. We can’t bring out the battle axes anymore. And it’s not about beating anyone but yourself, striving to learn something from scratch...no one does that in this age.Version: 8.30.0

Just needs a human when things go wrongAs of lately I have literally been logging into my Robinhood app at least 7 times a day or more. I am very familiar with the layout, the menu, settings etc. One day I opened the app and saw all of my investments and well as other stocks that are listed showing a gray box next to it with a dash going through it. Now I’m used to seeing something kinda similar when I lost my signal and the app is trying to pull the information as soon as I get a signal but this time was different. I was home connected to my WiFi and my internet connect was excellent. No other app was having connectivity issues so I knew it wasn’t my internet, the only option available on my Robinhood was the link for a free stock if I recommend a friend. So I tried to troubleshoot by closing the app out completely then flogging back in and the same problem. I then clicked on the Help then contact us and realized the help is just pre loaded questions that they assume should resolve most issues you have but since none of those preloaded questions pertained to me I chose the option of “something else” which it then led me to write an email option. I did however within about 20 minutes the app began functioning properly. I never received an email response back and that was at least 2 weeks ago. That is my biggest concern with the Robinhood app. No live chat support or phone number to call. Other than they if everything works as designed the is the best app for your money..Version: 9.14.1

Best and easiest app ever for investing!I just started investing in the stock market, and I couldn’t be more impressed! I have always been intimidated by even the thought of putting my money into the market without any knowledge or experience or professional help. I’ve always been one to go cheap when possible to avoid fees and commissions for others when it comes to my resources. I stumbled onto Robin Hood through an ad online, and with the Market down slide with Coronavirus, I knew it would be a great time to get in. Buy low, sell high, right? Well I downloaded the Robin Hood app, and I was amazed at how easy it was to load funds, scan the stocks, and actually buy my first stocks - on my own, without any interference, with no fees, and with EXCELLENT reporting info and At-A-Glance comprehensive data in real time with the app! You can see the open price, the high for the day, the low for the day, the 52 week high, the 52 week low, the volume of shares being traded, the yield it’s producing, and how it’s trending up or down by a graph and numbers present. ALL of this together on one screen - easy to see, and concise and well laid out so you can make an intelligent decision about that company and whether to invest and when to invest by analyzing the stock all on one page/view. Thank you Robin Hood!! I am “sold” out for life with your investing tool and your wealth of information and news and analysis that’s so easy to read and process, to make my investing future bright and with so little anxiety! And all FREE!.Version: 8.20.0

Love App , company and democratized breakthroughI remember back in 2013 I started to invest in Stocks with a Scottrade brokerage firm and each time you make a transaction you pay $7 fee. So, basically for buying a single stock you have to pay $7 and selling another $7. At the end of the day your profit meter will always start after $14 at any given point , beginners don’t find it viable option that each time your profit has to be -$14 plus federal taxes at the end of year. I have been using this product almost since 2014 or 15 cannot remember but cannot think for a better app than robinhood. There are lot of other wealthy brokerages firms and rich people who try to criticize robinhood mission and only want the rich to be rich. For average American joe or immigrants , robinhood has against all odds have provided a platform so simple that everyone can start investing for future. When a person tries to a breakthrough something established for years they definitely face a lot of flak and criticism from people who have been rich holding stocks for decades but millennials want to improve their life today! At the same time think about future. Everyone needs are different. Long story short, stock and options trading is phenomenal and crypto there is still room to improve and add more currencies. Also, I would definitely be interested in what company has to offer long term for assets management..Version: 9.24.1

Very bad experienceUsually I don’t write reviews but I am beyond surprised(negatively ofc) with how badly support team treated me. So I have been trying to make an account for months now, and it got stuck on the verification process, however no one informed about that. Then I somehow managed to get in touch with support(you can not reach them from the app as long as your account is not verified, very unhelpful). I asked them what is the problem and then they realized that they made a mistake on their end and no one told me to submit additional information( because in the app it only says that verification is in process). Therefore I submitted the additional information that was requested snd waited for a good month for approval. Unfortunately nothing happened and I reached out again to them, to what I got an automatic reply that the case is closed and there is nothing i can do about it. Then somehow over my friend who already has an account I managed to get back in touch with them(he called them to help me via his account). They again asked for the same information as before, which I again submitted a week ago, and asked via email how long is this process going to take. NO RESPONSE, so I sent another email like 4 days ago, and guess what NO RESPONSE. Basically biggest waste of my personal time. Should have just used other trading app from the beginning. Don’t recommend..Version: 2023.23.0

Worst support ever!I’ve been moving my banking systems around to shift from one bank to to another. I make attempts to link the new bank account to Robinhood and it asks me to provide a bank statement for the new account. I send the bank statement with the name my name, and later received an email saying it was declined because the name did not match the Robinhood account name. They don’t ask for middle name when making an account so I did not provide one. I resubmit my statement reassuring them my account name is correct. Later that day the automated system restricts my entire account preventing me from using any features including bank transfers or my card. I check an email and says that I should contact Robinhood. After hours of dealing with numerous “Specialists” and not having any method of directly communicating with their review team other than email through their specialist. I still don’t have access to my account when I have provided them with every piece of information they needed, to include Bank statements from both my NFCU and Chase bank, Passport ID, and a facial recognition scan from Robinhood. I should not have to resort to borrowing money from friends/ family just to eat or get to work because an automated system no longer decides I am worthy of accessing my own money and the company decides take the most ridiculously lengthy process to restore access to my money..Version: 2022.32.0

Best in classThis is by far the most rewarding service for investing in the Stockmarket. If you do nothing else, at the very least get their robinhood debit card and use it for all your drive-thru food and beverage orders. There is absolutely no other investment service that will give you as much of a bonus as the Robinhood round-up rewards program. Personally, I set my roundup rewards to give me Tesla stock, but if you want full exposure to the national average, find an S&P500 ETF and watch your spare change compound over time. I personally love robinhood gold’s competitive interest rates, but margin is rather complicated for beginners, so proceed with caution. That being said, if you plan to dollar cost average into the markets on a daily basis, Robinhood’s margin makes this incredibly easy while opening up your personal income to pay down your higher rate loans. It’s a no brainer. If you only so much as use the first $1,000 of robinhood gold, you get an APY of ~6% which blows all credit card rates out of the water. Get margin, dollar cost average at the rate you pay off your credit cards, and profit the difference. Disclaimer: You need at least $2,000+ to gain access to margin, hence this is not a tactic for low income earners. If you are just beginning your journey to financial independence, stick to the debit card’s round-up rewards program and never invest outside of your comfort zone..Version: 2022.27.0

Top of the lineI have had many investing apps for stocks and crypto and this is thee best of all of the apps I have tried or used. I have had crypto, coinbase, bittrex cash app, td ameritrade, etrade, fidelity, and kraken. Absolutely nothing compares to RH. Its easy to navigate, Im not sure about you but navigating a app really makes the purpose of the app worth your time and effort and grows the support of the business for which the app is used by. Robinhood is straight forward, it is quick to invest, cashout, deposit, and check. 2FA is a breeze with a authenticator app. People swear by crypto apps that they are the best, well no they aren’t. Kraken, coinbase and bittrex have flaws that prevent your critical information to be submitted, account setup is a nightmare and the wallets you need to transfer currencies is ridiculous. Crypto was the easiest to transfer coins and set up accounts, downfall is the cashout option for crypto wasn’t available but the cash card offered was its alternative. I decided I dont want to use crypto I want to invest in crypto and I only invest in Dogecoin. Like the tv series startup, Dogecoin will be the next gen coin. At Robinhood, despite the lawsuits Im still going to utilize their app for my investments and would recommend anyone wether a day trader or longterm investor, use the app get the cash card and fill up that account to the brim and invest because no app will be anything like Robinhoods app! And avoid cashapp, they skim your stocks and dividends when your earn and sell..Version: 9.21.0

Robinhood reviewOverall the Robinhood platform is pretty good. I like the overall ease of use of the platform and like the fact that I can invest in stocks, ETFs and Crypto. However for Robinhood to flourish they need to incorporate WAY more crypto assets and offer a much better variety of options in this class as it is the future and they are losing out to other platforms. Also other platforms offer staking options, retirement account options, and options trading. These are big deals in investing and it is losing Robinhood a lot of business to other platforms that offer these services. Also Robinhood’s customer service isn’t that good either, when you are dealing with peoples money they NEED to be able to speak with someone 24/7 quickly and not have to “chat” or send an email where their questions may or may not get answered for days on end. Also the amount of days that it takes for funds to clear is WAY to long!!! I personally have lost out on good buys due to the slow transaction times for funds, and not everyone wants to or should have to pay extra to have more funds clear quickly. If you want to be number 1 you have to provide the best services to the most amount of people, period, or people will go elsewhere or use part of your platform and parts of others platforms. If you go above and beyond on what I have mentioned I believe that Robinhood could actually dominate this space but I doubt that anyone is actually reading this anyway…..Version: 2022.7.0

Power in your handsRobinhood gives you the power to dynamically view securities and place orders clearly and quickly. It also gives you the power to quickly grow into advanced investing strategies if you wish to. Critics may say this is terrible because it’s too easy for the unwitting to lose their money not understanding what they are doing. To that I say I’m sure that happens, but Robinhood does their part to prevent this. They have educational resources and built in info and messages to caution and inform about risky trading actions. Do not blame Robinhood for the thoughtlessness of careless users. Having access to the tools Robinhood provides is truly freeing and empowering. Yes, they have their bugs and other issues. However, the platform is so preferable to any other platform that I am not bothered at all by an occasional downtime or other issue. Further, I have used Robinhood since before they offered fractional shares, Crypto, and their debit card/cash account (which pays interest monthly at a superb 0.3% APY!) and each of these features have made it all the more amazing. My message to the remaining critics is that you don’t seem to understand what you’re missing out on. By my estimates, Robinhood will be able to fix its current issues and introduce more and more features that make it the best place for any non-corporate investor to be. Sincerely, impressed. (And looking forward to what’s ahead on Robinhood).Version: 9.5.0

Most User Friendly Investing App!!!This is definitely the easiest for beginners to use but is just as worthy for intermediate & expert traders to use. I love the way the whole platform is set-up, makes it extremely easy to know what you own, what you paid for it, it’s current value as well as past values from 1 day, 1week, 1month, 3months, 1yr & 5yrs at a simple glance! I also love how it shows you exactly how much you’ve made or lost either for your overall portfolio and for each separate stock/crypto you own in exact up to the real time second in USD$! I use several different trading apps and this one is by far the most user friendly, easiest to learn and by far the best for beginners to start with. The only real thing’s that I’d wish they would improve on is offering more crypto currency’s to trade, right now they only offer 7 kinds which is very inadequate, they should offer at least 50, or even more the better, and although they do offer very basic information & news about stocks, crypto’s and trading information, it is extremely limited and has not nearly enough information or content as folks would like to have. I’d also like it if Robinhood could have a call center for help instead of just e-mail help. But hopefully they can improve on all these things in the future. :). Overall I give it a big thumbs up, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in starting an investment portfolio for the future, especially for those who are brand new, beginners or mid-level investors because of the ease & user friendliness of this apps platform. Keep up the great work Robinhood!!!.Version: 9.15.1

Very laggy, needs extended trading hours. My app is been so slow, worse every day. I even upgraded to top of the line Internet and nothings changed. Taking forever to load the stocks I own, and then taking forever to update their prices. When I click on the options, the same thing happens. When I click on an option to buy, instead of opening up where the price is currently so I can buy somewhere above or below the money, it opens on the most expensive call available. Then I have to take the time to scroll down to find the price of the stock and then determine my calls from there. It’s just super annoying. Lot of unnecessary time wasted for no reason. If you’re trading stocks, and time matters, literally down to the second, this is definitely not the app to use. Will cost you thousands of dollars like it has me. If you are swinging or long-term trading then it’s good for those purposes only. I am slowly exiting my positions one by one and freeing up my money so I can transfer my stocks over to a different platform. I really love how user-friendly this app is, but the small details that cost time, cost money. If you try to email them about anything, you always get a generic answer from a prompt. Even that’s a waste of time. If you email them about your app being slow there’s nothing they can do. They tell you to do all the obvious stuff like power cycle your phone, restart your Internet, uninstall reinstall your app. None of it works to improve the app speed..Version: 9.5.0

2 yr reviewSince using the app I find it still has work to do. In history you can see dividend, orders, transfers, and corporate actions. I believe in seeing where my money goes when I choose to spend it. I am also used to seeing it being spent like my bank statement. I feel an update Robinhood can make is showing the orders being subtracted from buying power would provide a great benefit to us as users. I also feel it could low liabilities to Robinhood to document this way and provide customer with some piece of mind. I also noticed there are a lot of stocks that aren’t on Robinhood some otc ones I would like to buy in don’t exist even as a search but I know they are there and I’ve relied on fidelity to watch and purchase them. Which inherently means to me as a customer I cannot invest trough Robinhood but I have to invest through fidelity only. Webull as well as Robinhood not having these means they are preventing these stock growth because there customer cannot invest in the companies, with out having an alternative brokerage account like fidelity or others. Average joes are missing out of some very brilliant companies that have been in the penny stock sector and can lead to a very profitable stake if they where in a position to do so through brokerage company list and ability to buy stocks. After 2 years of using Robinhood I can say they have yet to reach the potential they can. I can also say that that are in a position to make changes that could build the markets up massive given the right insight..Version: 2022.22.0

You guys could be the driving force to become the bestLet be very real you dropped the ball. Having the people behind you is what makes you a hands down best app to be had. Regardless of why you had to restrict, why you had to put holds on buying shares it was not communicated clearly and this is where the disconnect come from. You must remember it is not your money that was on the line it is your customers money that was being held from them. I am a new investor. I like how easy your platform is, I like the fact your charts are easy on the eyes and I can read them. What I do not like is that since this disconnect there really has not been anything directed to your customers. Yes, some statement here an interview there, but I don’t care about why you had to do what you did I want to know how you feel about me. Your decision ultimately moved the market and yes although is was not just you it was just you because you are my voice and I use your platform. I have not removed my money from my account prove me right that I think you can be better then this last week 2nd review: I really like how you have come under fire and still was their for customers. I thought that I definitely would leave, but so glad I did not. Keep education at the forefront of investing. This is the way. I now have given you four stars..Version: 9.15.1

Easy Way To InvestI’ve enjoyed using my Robinhood app for going on 2 years. I invest a steady amount of money when I get any extra income. I try to put $50 a month in my account and invest it where I find value in a company. I couldn’t believe that my husband and I talking about a little company called Moderna in December 2019 and January 2020 would lead us both to buy 10 shares (at least than $35 a share!) and then to see it jump to over $100, then $125, $150 and as high as in the $180s was thrilling. Of course, not all our picks come out so well and if we had known the future of Moderna stock, we would have invested every penny we could have gotten our fingers on! But hindsight is 20/20 and foresight is … well, maybe that’s what’s called insider trading - which is illegal! So, I guess I’ll stick with my hunches because over all they’ve paid out well and I’m making more money than I’m losing. I don’t look at my Robinhood app very often because when the market is not doing well I don’t want to react based on the numbers. My Robinhood account I don’t consider “real money” so if it crashed, I’d cry a lot, because I have a few thousand I’ve dropped into it the last two years, but it’s not money that if lost will destroy me. I don’t like gambling with money that takes care of those Maslow Higher Archy of Needs! Robinhood makes it easy to invest. They have lots of information and learning opportunities! I started with $25 and now thanks to wise investments I have almost 5 figures in my account and my earnings for this year are well over 50%. Much better than the interest rate of any other account! Worth the risk right now!.Version: 9.17.0

Great simple beginner trading appI say beginner but I feel I will keep using it even as I get more versed in trading. I think I say that mainly due to instant cash. It’s great to be able to make a deposit and instantly be able to trade with that money. It takes a few days for it to actually come out of your bank and post in RH so you want to make sure you keep an eye on your bank balance. But I have loved every minute of trading since getting the app. I’m a beginner so I like it’s simplicity but would like a bit more metrics involved. Not as much as Webull but a happy medium. And the reason it’s not a 5 star rating is because I would really like to see a bit more detail in the order history. I would like it to tell me what time I purchased the security. I would also like it to show more info without having to click on it. Like the price at which I purchased the security and how much I put into it. As I use this info to determine at what price I’d like to maybe buy more. Just needs more main details on the face of the tab. Then when I click on it show more detail like the time it was purchased. Idk if it’s not shown there fir privacy reasons so could maybe make it an option to show or not. So to be honest, I look at webull for its charts and order books but use RH to do my actual investing. Oh, and a very important note is I should be able to name a beneficiary for my investments in case something were to happen to me. I am able to do so on Webull. So that’s an important one. Overall, I really do enjoy using Robinhood..Version: 8.54.1

DIY investingHaving run this app for a couple of months now, I do not have any complaints. It makes buying/selling stocks relatively “easy” (there is also a website version). However, RH is not like Charles Schwab that will personally guide you through the investing world. There is a lot of risk at the mere “ease” one's finger tapping a button with minimal explanation on RH. In addition, the customer service is not really “there,” which means that a person cannot call and get a direct response for one’s own question. As a result, RH implicitly requires their users to have a sort of Do It Yourself (DIY) mentality and be willing to discover answers on his or her own accord—this requires considerable research and time outside the app itself. Nevertheless, the app does what it is supposed to do—it gives a person the ability to get into the stock market. How a person uses RH can have positive or negative effects: on the one hand, if a person treats the app like a gamble system without knowing all the stakes (e.g., using margin to invest what one does not have), that’s extremely risky; on the other hand, if a person is willing to become well versed on stock market itself—such as learning the terminology and relational factors of said stock (e.g, P/E, bonds & interest rates, SPACS vs. traditional IPOs, Growth Stock Vs. Value Stock, a companies yearly earnings/debt, etc)—then RH is a great place to start, that is, to invest a small amount (e.g, under 10% of one’s own saving—assuming one is not in debt)..Version: 9.6.0

New member.I joined Robinhood a little over 3 months ago in Feb 2020 after I heard Clark Howard talk about on the radio. I think it is a great asset to the common man who doesn’t have thousands of dollars to invest in stock all at once. Robinhood is a way for the average person to study and learn about different stocks themselves and decide where they want to put their money. Then by way of the phone app they can check their stocks all day every day. A person can invest as much as they want, pennies or more. I’ve been able to invest over 3,000 dollars in these 3 make months by taking some savings and then doing the best part, which is taking any disposable income I have and buying stock with it. I never stop for fast food or buy anything but necessities now because I’ve found that I’d rather take the $5.00 or whatever it is that I would spend on junk food etc and buy stock. With the virus canceling all sports I’ve found watching my investments on Robinhood be more entertaining especially since I actually have a stake in the game now. The only thing I do wish Robinhood would do is explain the gold mining daily market better. I’ve put large amounts of money into a few of these and then all of a sudden the stock totally changes. These companies send out information but for an average guy they are too hard to understand. Thank you..Version: 8.24.0

Don’t use this app.Got the worst experience possible and I hope this news comes to everyone I jsut wanted to say long story short got hacked tried contact Robinhood and lost my whole account for over a week and I lost my email but I recovered it and emailed them and they said they couldn’t recover my account i finally found a solution and logged back in and lost a insanely high amount of money that i had to panic and contact the police and i tried contacting Robinhood once again and they have these policies that claim they can’t help to recover my money and im trying to call them but no answer and im sitting there talking and texting an agent and emailing and he’s sitting typing his policies and rules and copy and pasting while im asking is there a way to recover money or find the hacker or even a chance to investigate this situation and they reply with some policy or “we can’t help with this or that” and im frustrated and I contacted the police and it’s still into investigation. I just wanted to let you know that if there is a problem Robinhood is not there to help and I have had them for years and not a problem until you have a problem lol. Well I can’t use this company’s app because I simply loss thousands of dollars and I still haven’t gotten it back and I don’t think I ever will. I’m disappointed in Robinhood and this is the reason I made this review. Short story long don’t use this app unless you won’t have problems..Version: 2024.29.0

I like it.Great access to most the companies I look to buy and sell shares. Decent research at a glance on many companies. I really love the ipo access and think that’s a niche they could really expand and do well with. Decent margin rates. Really need to expand availability of different crypto, however I like the security of not having to protect a wallet, and staying in the Robinhood universe. Nice easy options for trading on limits etc… I wish there was an option to extend those options over an extended period of time rather than just a trade day. I don’t like that Robinhood sells and buys through a premium for extra money. For active trading that adds up. If your buying and holding, not a big deal. I think it’s a greedy game they play on that front and wish it was more transparent what the margin of profit was for Robinhood on each trade. Overall, positive. I would really enjoy an automated investment program that E*TRADE has and vanguard, making the management costs down and just a place to put investment without worrying of buying and selling. Would be good for those who don’t want to actively manage their portfolio. Also would help in taking irrational decisions making out of the equation. I would like an option for a algorithm that does the management process for me for a portion of my portfolio. So if I got ill, sick, or died, it would be easy to transfer into that option….Version: 9.37.1

OptionsExecution on options; the execution on your options in some cases take down right near forever to exercise from the sell order input. On several occasions I have noticed the only way options sell, are when the price reverses, which makes me think those with the Robinhood app Are put on the back burner, so to speak and if the price does not reverse, a lot of money could be lost.I watched a sell order fall more than 50%In the money, only to sell some 10 minutes later out of the money. That kind of execution does not get you high marks. The purchase and sale of shares: on many occasions now, I have watched the purchase of shares increase by one cent per share when the share price never actually hit that price. The same goes for the sales only on the sale price, it is one cent lower then what it actually hit. How is this possible? You wanted my opinion, you got it, but I seriously doubt you’ll do anything about it because you want graphs, pictures, and any kind of evidence that says this isn’t true. I’m not here to give you evidence I’m here to give you my opinion. If you want evidence, try it yourself I’ll just make my decision going forward. In the meantime maybe find a way for options to exercise a little quicker and honestly I would not mind paying a little more. Sincerely, RH user.Version: 8.53.0

Always room for improvementFirst, I am not some shill or bot. I genuinely enjoy RH. I don’t agree with all their business practices, but I believe in the message and I believe in all the education that RH brings. So many people irl around me don’t understand stocks or options and I’ve looked at RH Learn and really enjoy it. The mnemonics are sometimes weird and don’t make sense to me, but eh. The info is correct and good though. I want RH to stay. Also they added a new PL graph on options. It’s okay, but it doesn’t break down what happens when the Greeks change. It is okay and cool to look at, but a sudden change in implied volatility (but no change in the stock) can increase or decrease the option, but on the PL graph it doesn’t show that. It just shows a theoretical of what it may be at that stock price. All in all: some things yes Robinhood needs to improve on. Communication is so important and I still think calling would be great. Sometimes emailing just doesn’t work, like I was having a UI bug that could be interpreted as really bad, but the email support just kept telling me to look at my settings. I got tired of showing pictures and trying to explain my stuff and just stopped the emails. But overall: Robinhood is good for the community and for the average joe. It needs to be here and I support them and hope to see more and better features. I don’t believe they deserve all the backlash they are getting. They also need to be more transparent about things. The backlash about not explaining things in the beginning when bad things happen is really bad. That needs to change, they can’t wait until it’s gotten worse to explain things..Version: 9.13.0

Easy to Use; Wealth of Information.Robinhood made it possible for a “little guy” - like me - with little money and little experience in investing to invest slowly as I could afford it without jeopardizing my financial base, and learn as I went along. The absence of trading fees meant that I could trade efficiently without losing my principal, and if I suffered a small loss (which almost never happened) I was not punished even more by the transactional costs. I have an investment account with Merrill, but it is slow, hard to access, provides massive amounts of information that only a seasoned trader could begin to understand, and I have to wait and wait and wait and wait to use my money once deposited. With Robinhood I have actually become an Investor (not just a “trader”) and I have seen my portfolio in good companies grow and grow. By Warren Buffett’s standards of volume, my portfolio is minuscule. But Robinhood gave me a chance I would never have had if I had to rely on the “regular” stocks, securities and investment avenues. Encouraged by the modest success I have had through Robinhood, I have actually started a regular investment program in good, solid, companies. I thank my lucky Stars that Robinhood was available for me when the time was right for me. No other investment platform or house or bank would have done what Robinhood did for me..Version: 2021.50.0

Great But BuggyRobinhood has a great concept going for them. They’ve targeted a niche area of the market which caused a domino effect for the rest of the brokers. Robinhood moves other brokers away from fees per trade and change the game for good. However with that they provide an extremely good UI which is simplistic and easy to use. This is especially good for newer traders and investors as well as it making it a pleasant and seamless experience. But with that being said there are few bugs that they need to work one. Starting with the accuracy of the charts of portfolios. I’ve noticed and a few friends of mine have noticed a few offages (Money I put in + growth) doesn’t always add up. My next issues is that on busy trading day Robinhood needs to increase their server capacity. I don’t like to wake up to either Robinhood unable to make a trade for me because of “high volume” or “May experience delays due to higher traffics” but you get what you pay for and in this case I’m not complaining to much. But over all if you’re looking to start getting into the investment game and you know where to start I would recommend using Robinhood. I mean I did recommend it to all my friends. Ever app has up and downs and I’m certain Robinhood will eventually work out the kinks and be ever better than it is now. They’ve come along way from when the app just rolled out..Version: 8.38.0

No responseI entered my information to sign up with Robinhood over a month ago. It keeps telling me my account is under review due to my information possibly being incorrect. I’m an educated individual. I know my address, email, phone number, and SS#. I have sent 8 emails in over a month to customer service. I get an immediate automated response saying my issue will be taken care of within 1-3 business days. It’s been 42 days since my first email. Still NO RESPONSE from anyone. The initial stocks I wanted to purchase have now gone up majorly. I would have made approximately one thousand dollars on the initial $1,000 investment I was looking to make. The phone number I found goes to an automated message that sends me in circles online with no real responses. I have not heard from anyone with Robinhood during my 6 week ordeal. Horrible customer service. I even uploaded my driver’s license. My husband, however, is trading fine with Robinhood, and he has made us some good money. App seems to work if they allow you to join. ???? UPDATE: CHANGED FROM 1 STAR to 3 STARS. It could have been higher, but due to the huge delay and lack of communication on their part, I only updated to 3 stars. After posting this review on the App Store, Robinhood immediately contacted me through email. My account was set up within less than a week. The customer service rep was very helpful. Too bad it took 8 weeks and a bad review for this to happen. However, I am happy someone finally reached out to me that was knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you..Version: 9.18.0

Love the appI would have given it a 5 stars review, but some aspects of the app needs work. I think it would be easier for someone at my level of inexperience with stocks to have your actual stocks label stocks own by you so that you can understand better, even tho it sounds silly it took me a while to figure out that my stocks are the first ones, as well as I guess is a given once you look under the name of the stocks that it shows you a number of how much you own of that stock. The other thing I believe can be improved is the amount of time that it takes for your application to be approved, I know that this can be challenging since many people are applying but the market changes at moments and you loose the chances of buying stocks at a lower price by the time your application is approved. I think that it could also be a good improvement for the app if they would just add a buy button to either the left or right on the stock instead of having to press on the center since sometimes you end up pressing right and it gives you the display data instead of the buying option. I do love that this app exist and the last thing I would love is that they would give you the free stock once a person uses your link instead of having to wait for their application to be approved. I hope my feedback will be of hep. Thanks to the team and everyone involved in the creation of this app..Version: 9.11.1

Absolute Stock Market Neophyte Loving this App!Here is my absolutely unsophisticated review: I knew absolutely nothing about stocks or the stock market. I am the last person one would ever expect to become interested in finances and stocks and other such grown-up adult things lol. I have always hated numbers (my weakness) and have never had any interest whatsoever in stocks or other similarly “boring” and “personally irrelevant” topics. Despite ny relative weakness with numbers stuff (and one serious case of ADHD), I know I’m a very fast learner in general. However, my sudden fascination with the stock market AND my hitherto unknown ability to do something like turn $470 into $1100 in 8 days has truly surprised me! I am now hooked (although mindful of balancing caution and risk) on the stock market and voraciously reading articles about stocks, the market, investing, cryptocurrency, etc. It’s like I’ve discovered this whole new world within my world, and I feel inspired by the possibilities, because I am happiest when learning something new, interesting, and productive. Sounds dramatic but that’s reallly how I feel! Anyway, this app is potentially life-changing because, despite having zero prior stock market knowledge, I just randomly picked it up and figured out how to more than double my original investment in a mere 8 days. I don’t know enough yet to criticize the app. I have no idea what the app might be missing that would be helpful to investors. But as a satisfied newbie myself, I’d say it’s probably great for other newbies too. Fairly intuitive..Version: 8.60.0

Experience Improvement SuggestionThis has been a fantastic app in all the time that I’ve been using it. Since about 2017. There have been many new additions since then. One of them being analyst ratings where we can see how many analysts provided a rating, and what percent said said buy, hold, or sell. This has been quite a useful gauge (along with others) for investing. That being said we all know time marches on and opinions change. Unfortunately I have not noticed any relevance to time in this analyst ratings feature. Perhaps these ratings are updated weekly. However, without knowing at what time the ratings were made it’s hard to tell how a stock, like GOOG, would be rated after some news comes out, like the antitrust inspection. Surely we can look at the rating description to see if it mentions anything about this news, but it still doesn’t address the main concern. That is when did each analyst rating actually happen. 30 could have been before a big news break and perhaps only 7 after. Making for a possibly inaccurate rating. Perhaps the news has nothing to do with these analysts ratings and it’s all about the companies numbers. In such case public opinion has no impact on ratings and thusly time is not as important. However it would still be nice to know when the ratings were made or last updated..Version: 7.22.3

What happened sucked regardless....Giving a one star is something not in my blood. I came into the hype like everyone else, but late and I’m okay with that. I did not put my life savings in it though. At the end of the day it’s gambling . I was not effected as others were. This App indeed did some shady stuff regardless of why you did it. But that’s life right? I’ve learned a lot in these past weeks and if it wasn’t for this app, I really wouldn’t be aware of how things can turn. I’m starting to focus on my long term investments more then ever and I love that. I’ll continue to use this app as references, but putting big bucks in Robinhood is now something I’ll never do. I appreciate the platform for me to learn and understand this game. 3 stars I find appropriate, I just hope you learn from the one star reviews and help the people who truly need it during this time. Not the hedge funds who already have billions of dollars. Robinhood is the name we all know as children who take from the rich and give to the poor. It’s hope for many who don’t have the means for it. You gave hope to people then took it right back. I won’t delete this app, but people and myself included need to be more conscious where our money rests. Thank you again for this platform and hopefully other developers can learn from mistakes that Robinhood made. Good luck with everything ! A lot of punctuation error but you get my point . Regardless of the money.... the moon we go!.Version: 8.64.0

Great App!It’s easy to understand (once you get familiar with stock trading terminology), and it makes trading stocks feel simple. One suggestion I do have is when I’m looking at the line graph of a stock that I have shares in, I’d like to be able to see visually on the graph where I jumped in at. So say I bought some shares at $4.67/share and I held the shares for 2 months. If I click on the 3 month view of that stock, I’d like to see a little pin or something on the date that I bought my shares at. That way I can see in an instant whether I bought while the price was high or low or mid. Also it helps just in general to see what spikes I’ve held my shares through and which dips I’ve been along for the ride for. I could see this being particularly helpful in situations where I’m buying/selling a lot of shares quickly, or I’m trying to study the markets and look at my past investments. We would be able to notice patterns in our trading habits like if we are overly aggressive on a regular basis, or if we are consistently too passive. I’ve noticed just by my own tracking that I tend to sell a little early. But if I were trading on much larger scales with a lot more money, I wouldn’t be able to mentally keep track of everything. So without writing it down, it would be tough to look at these stocks and remember when I bought at. Just a thought..Version: 8.29.0

Good app/ stock diversity, Terrible companyI have been using Robin Hood for about a year now, and it has seriously helped me enter the world of stocks and investing. I honestly didn’t know very much about it before I started using Robin Hood, and after starting to get the hang of it on the app it gave me a lot more insight into how the whole process works and while I am in no way a professional when it comes to the stock market whatsoever, I actually know what things mean and how general trends can affect the market pretty well now because of it. With that being said, I can’t say that I respect the company as a whole very much at this point. For the entirety of their companies lifespan up until recently, their whole motto was to “let the people trade” and helping people trade by making it user-friendly and with no limitations which I’ve always been a big proponent of. Since the most recent market volatility, I’ve lost all respect for them and their words. They have in no way demonstrated that they care anything about the values they claim to hold as a company, and because of this I suggest to not use the app for stock trading. Use it for research and understanding how the market works sure, but please don’t give this company any more profits. They are scummy and are anything but transparent..Version: 2022.8.0

Freedom IS Actually Free!Time is the number one advantage you have when investing. Or so my grandfather told me. For years, however, I waited and put off investing until I had “enough” money to make the fees most brokers charge worth it. But I never seemed to have “enough” and I hated waiting (and therefore wasting the magic of compound interest). Robinhood took away my excuses and not only made it ridiculously easy, but completely FREE to invest. I’ve been using the app for over 3 years now and I’ve never spent a dime. And by referring the app to friends, I’ve received 15 FREE stocks from Robinhood (worth $65). The design is intuitive. The financial charts are easy to understand, without being overwhelming. The always up-to-date links to the latest news stories about the individual stocks are really helpful; over time, just reading little by little, I feel my knowledge about investing has grown thanks to those links. I’m mainly interested in long-term investments, but the few short term trades that I’ve made have been a breeze. I’m not that wealthy, yet, but honestly this app is one of my favorites on my phone because watching the dividends come in and the compound interest grow year-by-year genuinely makes me happy. Robinhood is simply complete financial peace-of-mind in a beautifully designed app. I can’t thank its creators and designers enough!.Version: 8.9.1

RH App is ok but the support is horribleThe app is ok, it is easy to use. The customer support is horrible and they dont have a phone number to speak to human. Everything is thought their chat or email. I have been trying to reactivate my account and its taking forever. Every time I reach out to their Customer support they tell me something different and nothing gets fixed. They will close my chat if I don’t reply right away then I will have to start all over again and have to repeat everything to another support rep. I wouldnt not mind this if they would offer a solution but they dont, they will not read the previous chats even though is about the same issue. I like the ease of use but Im starting to use etr ade and the platform is more complex but once you get a hang of it might be a better option. Also they do have s phone number and people were helpful everytime I called. In my opinion it just seemed more professional. For some reason I started with RH and liked the platform I wish RH would offer better support and I would stay with them. i cant help to wonder If the customer support is so bad in something so small as reactivating an account. I can only imagine how the support will be when I get an big issue with my money. Its concerning..Version: 2024.40.0

Excellent Way to get into the GameI was introduced to Robinhood by a friend who learned about it from another. I like the interface a lot because it’s not very noisy to those who are unfamiliar with ‘these sort of stuff ‘ but as you get more familiar with it, you long for tad more hand holding with helpful data. I recommend Robinhood to hyperlink each and every categories/sections to items with details explanations and examples that can guide us NooBs when we wonder. For example, I see the number to ‘theta’ and I click and it explains what that represents (you get the idea). I would also like to see a section which indicates a stock price that’s under or over valued, filtered news related to stock (for all), live graph on demand, ability to change themes, indicators that suggest you own/ watch list, folder option to categorize stock categories to name a few. I miss the ‘Chat’ option that I used to see under Crypto investment area which I thought a great Web 2.0 approach (other than some trolling of course but not an uncommon nauwssence). I really like to see that approach similar to stocktwit within Robinhood for all stocks to let investors help each other following community guidance set by Robinhood. I’m of course wishing all these for the standard option (actually if you focus on just one Robinhood and blend Gold subscription and standard subscription into free version and make money through AD revenue , you could become Facebook if Trading sooner 😉). Finally I like to thank you for finding a way to offer everyone a free medium for trying out the financial market. I think I’m only in it because of Robinhood. Thanks 🙏.Version: 7.26.0

Thoughts on RH after 3 yearsI’ve used RH for just over 3 years. I’ve learned a lot in general in trading as well as appreciate the ease of use/user friendly interface for new investors as they get into the market. In my opinion, you invest your money RH should be treated as a tool. That said, recent discussion on limits on buys/sells whether it’s a liquidity issue or something else has me seriously considering movement away from this platform. I have several brokerage accounts and to be limited is frustrating to say the least and has serious financial impacts on individuals. I will give RH one more chance moving forward as I have most recently chalked the issues up to “growing pains”. If RH plans to go IPO and succeed it will need to seriously navigate this ^^^ “liquidity situation” and ASAP. At the end of the day i simplify it to the core principle, I give you my money so you can make money and when I want my money you give me it back. I refuse to become desensitized to these “liquidity issues” should they continue and intend to speak with my money then. I continue to be cautiously optimistic about RH and look forward to seeing what changes will be implemented with the talks about adding more crypto and functionality, to include wallets etc. This is intended to be a constructive review and any news on RH I tend to take with a grain of salt until I am able to experience it on my own..Version: 9.14.1

Excellent app for tradingNow that Robinhood offers fractional shares they have become my go to app for investing. The fractional shares make it very easy to equal weight your portfolio’s stocks based on a dollar amount, which is my preferred method of investing. They offer a very streamlined system for making trades and you can’t beat the commission rate, FREE! For $5 a month you can upgrade to Robinhood Gold (which I would recommend; I do wish they offered an option to pay the fee annually and maybe offer a little discount but $60 is still not bad at all) and have access to margin with $1000 of margin being included in the monthly fee. The instant deposit, up to $1000 for Robinhood Basic and $5000 for Robinhood Gold is a great feature because it means that you can immediately start investing once you’ve downloaded the app and opened an account. Their investment research which is included in Robinhood Gold is still a bit basic, it’s essentially Morningstar reports, however with the other perks that Robinhood Gold provides its like basically getting a Morningstar subscription for free. The only thing I wish was that they offered some OTC:BB investments, but the reason they probably don’t is due to SEC regulations and other guidelines. The OTC can be a very volatile and risky place for most investors so I understand a hesitancy to offer it. The also offer different levels of options trading of that is of interest to you. Overall, it is an excellent app for investing and provides most all of the services that a traditional online discount broker offers at the unbeatable price of FREE, or just $5 month for Robinhood Gold..Version: 8.41.0

Senior Tax AccountantLove this app! This is been instrumental for so many people I know in their understanding of investing, financial planning, and general financial health. Amazing, easy-to-use user interface. Love the free stock for referrals, love the selection of securities, and love the cash management. My only gripe is perhaps updating the Dividend Yield, PE ratios, etc. to the current security information (current price, current dividend payout, etc), showing the performance over a period of more than 5 years (i.e. 10 years, ALL-TIME), and having a more robust, advance information base. RobinHood has and is solving a market problem by offering an investment solution for the masses, highlighting the fact that investors should understand what they are doing and what they are investing in. This is an incredible tool and resource on how anyone can improve their financial position, condition, and health through investing. This isn’t something just for ultra rich. This is available to everybody. Just have to have the determination, perseverance, and the mental fortitude for all our decisions about money (from all that online shopping to buying premium brands to feeling like you “need to splurge” yourself to make you feel better (you really don’t need it) and sky is the limit. Excited for people interested in this app and in their financial future..Version: 8.2.1

Honest Rating, Usage AdviceMost important point first: The app has good visual design and good informative pages. It was very easy to set up and purchase shares, much easier than most apps (because Robinhood takes care of the technical side of auctioning stock on the market, and you then "buy" shares from Robinhood). I wish there was a way to sort all purchased stock by return or equity, as there is in other pages such as in "Lists" and "Following" groups. It would also be good to sort based on the Analyst Ratings. This is a pretty good app for experienced investors. You get to choose your own portfolio; because of this, if you have little experience, Acorns or Betterment will outperform your portfolio every time. If beginners really do want this app, I suggest only purchasing ETF's or bonds at first, like the Dow Jones IE, SPY 500, or Nasdaq. There are lots out there, just look for consistent past performance so you don't lose everything in your first year of investing. Also, don't sell unless you need the money or are absolutely sure the company can never recover. Don't jump into crypto until you have gone through at least one October-February season watching stocks closely. Robinhood charges a fee for every purchase (they usually round up to a penny for small buys), so use that fact strategically. If you want to invest $100, doing it once will cost you maybe a penny fee, but doing it one dollar at a time will cost a dollar. Spreading purchases out is a good strategy for evening out bull and bear buys, but spreading too thin will bite you back on Robinhood..Version: 2022.02.0

I enjoy the Robinhood app fine!I have been using the Robinhood app since November of 2020 when I first got into trading. I actually had paper savings bonds from my grandmother, one every year over 10 years, only $50 max maturity bonds and one $100 bond. I was looking over how much these bonds matured over the last few years oldest bond from 1994 and youngest 2007, when cashed they equated $544, from the face values my grandma bought them was about $280 all together. The interest I made on the bonds on a monthly basis came out to about only $0.09/c per month! Ok. So I put my money in and also a little extra, I was sitting with my personal cash at only $1,250 by December, I’m not a rich man, and my soul goal was to purchase a new evaporator and pans (I make maple syrup), I needed $1,850 by Feb 1 at the latest. I did accomplish my goal, I cashed all out, which was easy and actually only took 3 or 4 days. I bought my goal, thank my gma and little bro. The stock market is not always on a high, so I am cautious with my money, I do ALL my own free research outside of the app, I have personal techniques and also loss limitations I set personally and watch myself. My circumstances allows me to be on the app at any time, which helps me to be what I call a Bi-day-trader. Because I invest under 25k, and do this as a “hobby”, I will only loss x amount before stopping, but I’ve been fortunate to always be using “house money” + my own funds of only 1k, to build up my funds better than $0.09/c per month. I’d actually rather put $50 to $100 in the market each month than keep it in a bank...as a poor man. Do what you all will, research research research! Thanks! I hope you enjoy my story!.Version: 9.11.0

Best Brokerage app for 1st time investors!!!The major issue I have had with Robinhood is their glitches. The biggest being occasionally crashes that can last an entire trading day this can be inconvenient for option and day traders aside from these and a couple other issues Robinhood is an awesome platform. I wish the option to organize the stocks you search buy MRK CAP, AVG’s over Days, Months, and Years and ANALY RAT’s was included on the app as with the desktop it would be a nice feature to have. I love the cash management option along with those for fractional shares and drip investing but I wish there was away to practice investing to see how you would preform on let say options trading. Having a paper trading option on Robinhood would benefit the app and the users by allowing users to practice trading in a way that could make them more money. Paper trading also gives Robinhood more money from each customer as they would feel more comfortable placing money in trades than they might now. There are also areas Robinhood lack in analytics. I imagine advance charts might scare new users not familiar with trading however, which is why I would say disable the option by default until the user enables it. All in all Robinhood is a 5/5 Investing app. 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖.Version: 8.27.0

Better money movement strategiesI really am enjoying Robinhood. I would like to say that there is one thing I’m not fond of however. That is the trade and sell in a single day feature. Three trades and sells in 5 trade days is just nonsense. You are telling your investors that they must take a loss. Or that they can’t make money. I get the concept as to why you do this. Again though it is unfair. We read up on a stock that is predicted to do well and invest money, that same day the stock starts to take a dive and we can’t pull out without being sited for a possible “day trade”. I’m new to all of this like many of your investors using this app are. I think implementing something for the little guy would be more fair. You say it’s ok if you have $25,000 invested on the app. Well a lot of us don’t. And I’d like to be able to move my money where I’d like when I like and maybe you guys should consider upping that trade number to 5 per 5 trading days or “week”. Then impose a few for any there after! The idea of being restricted from getting out of risky stocks is not fair. Pretty much saying that you need to put your money into blue chips or futures and let it sit as opposed to buying a stock and looking to turn a profit that day or week. Sorry if I haven’t articulated myself the way an investor with years of experience would have. Although like I said I myself along with many others using Robinhood are beginners. Thank you..Version: 8.18.0
