High-quality vocals with your iPhone or iPad

Spire for iOS combines award-winning iZotope audio processing with multi-track recording to make importing a beat, layering vocals, collaborating with your producer, and sharing songs easier than ever. When your iPhone is your mobile vocal booth with automatic Soundcheck, recording high-quality vocals is possible anywhere.

• Import a beat and write lyrics

Get started by importing your beat. Easily write and develop your lyrics directly in the Spire app and have them front-and-center while you record.

• Automatically set your levels and tone

When you run Soundcheck in Spire before you record, it will identify voice or an instrument, set your levels, and sculpt your tone. Vocals stand out in the mix through automatically adding compression, saturation, and EQ—powered by tech from the Vocal Assistant in iZotope's Nectar plug-in.

• Layer vocals and mix your tracks

Building a song with Spire is fast and intuitive. Easily capture lead vocals, overdubs, ad-libs, and more by just hitting record. You can edit out unwanted parts from any track with the trim tool. To mix, drag track icons up or down to adjust volume and left or right to pan.

• Collaborate with artists and producers

Text or email a Spire project to anyone from the Spire app and they can preview your song, export mixdowns, download individual tracks to edit in a DAW, or open in Spire to add tracks of their own.

• Share with your fans

If you’ve finished a song in Spire that you’re ready to show the world, you can publish your songs to SoundCloud, Instagram, and more directly from the app. Add artwork or a video to your project to make it your own before posting for your fans.

Spire: Music Recorder & Studio Positive Reviews

Magic demo machine! As a songwriter, I’ve always wanted a quick and easy way to demo a new song. Most of the time, I’ve just used my iPad to capture it. And if I had the time— I’d fire up Garage Band. If I really wanted to share to a wider audience, I’d work through it on my Protools setup. But now, Spire helps me make a quick and easy demo in my living room that sounds darned close to a studio version. The more I use it, the better I get and the better I sound. It does feel like a magic little box. The mic check dials in the levels, the effects sound nice and clean and above all it takes me minutes— not hours! My biggest wish would be to improve the ability to punch in to fix a guitar clam. It’s close to impossible so I usually try to get a complete and acceptable take before moving on to vocals. Punching in a vocal isn’t hard because there’s usually a dead space that I can come in on. I hope iZotope is still working on this little gem because it would be great to be able to at least add an easy dissolve to smooth a punch in. But hey, I actually couldn’t be happier with this thing..Version: 2.18.0

Really Unreal Recorder - Spire is FireThis is absolutely hands-down one of the best apps I’ve ever used on my phone it’s incredibly powerful for an iPhone app or anything really. The app itself and Spire have made an unreal amount of progress over the past few months, it seems like every time I open it they’ve added some new tweak, improvement or update and it continues to get better. I’ve been pro since the beginning and well worth the subscription price and more... really good developer team. Couple super nit-picky wishes / ideas: -in same way you can import a base sound I wish you could import just like a short (ten second) clip into a channel... like for example a producer tag or a sound effect. -I like the the ‘inspire me’ effects; but I wish you could either (a) delete and/or hide the ones you don’t want or (b) favorite the ones you do so you can find them more easily, they are very cool but so many to sort through that I forget the name or want to compare fewer against each other to find the best one. - Canyou not do the effects and inspire me together on the same track? Seems like right now if I add one it removes the other effect (which is fine just curious) Thanks you guys for all that you do, fantastic job and always improving! Rating 10 / 10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!.Version: 2.56.0

Amazing.I do best when recording solo. This app has allowed me to do so with exceptional quality and it’s so user friendly. The things I would love to see in the future would be: basic effects. I would love to be able to add some basic reverb or chorus effects to eliminate the need to take up precious track space with multiple vocals. Maybe like 3 effects? That’s all you really need. Also, I’ve seen in other recording software a “solo” option meaning I can isolate one track to listen to to find that one later I want to delete without having to individually muting a bunch of tracks to find the one I want to delete. I see you’ve put the option to add an icon to tracks to help distinguish what instrument is featured on each track but that’s not enough when it comes to layering vocals etc. soloing a track would be much quicker. Anyways, great app and great quality! Thanks!.Version: 2.7.1

Just Missing a few thingsReally love this device and what it can do. However there are two main things i would like to see on the app side of things. 1st is the ability to mix tracks down to a single track like you could do on the old 4/8 tracks and then have another 7 tracks to keep adding with. 2nd is some level of post production, I understand the device is aimed at musicians who want to cut thru all the hang ups of traditional recording etc but you guys really have something here that could be much more than that. Im not saying to go crazy but maybe a 4 band eq for starters and then add some basic easy stuff that others have mentioned. Again not looking for pro tools just some tools to tweak and shape the sound a little more. Add it as an upgrade pack in app purchase or whatever i would definitely be interested in something like that keep up the good work and looking forward to some future updates.Version: 2.8.0

I’m Totally In-SpiredSpire is a game changer! Years ago I had written a bunch of songs on my guitar, and recorded them on my tape recorder (remember those?). And there they sat. If you’ve ever written a song, they’re (almost) like children to you, even if they’re bad. I felt like I had abandoned them. But I never forgot them, continually wondering how I could take them to the next level. I tried buying recording software, but it was way beyond my technical ability. Then I discovered Spire. I was blown away by it’s capabilities and ease of use. It’s pretty much idiot proof. I pulled out my folder containing the lyrics and chords of my old songs, and started playing around in the app. First recorded the guitar, then added vocals. Pleased with the results, I got the little round Spire box, and started using effects. I went out and bought a used bass guitar and keyboard, and got my electronic drum kit out of the closet. I added all the instruments to the mix by myself! I’m about to record my 35th song. The pandemic has afforded me more time to devote to it than I otherwise would have had. I’ve rediscovered my passion for songwriting, I’m learning how to play the bass and the keyboard, and with each song, I’m becoming a more proficient producer. It’s amazing what Spire can do with a poorly written song!.Version: 2.45.0

I couldn’t rate 4.5 stars...I absolutely love this app, I’ve recorded multiple songs that I fell in love with again after using this mobile studio... that being said I only wish it had one thing, some effects for the tracks. When you buy the spire hardware (the desk top mic with all the bells and whistles) for around $500 then you get cool editing and stuff like that, but would it hurt to put some filters on the mobile app? Like reverb, echo, gain, maybe normalize? Or even a white noise suppressor? I’m not asking for every upgrade that comes with the hardware but at least some small things. If the developer could get back to me on this it would be awesome! Like I said, amazing app, amazing software, and awesome recordings come from this app, talent not included, in case you were wondering, lol.Version: 2.8.0

Not too shabbyI own a the spire recording device and have the app installed. I use an external mic plugged into the isotope spire and record into spire and mix onto another daw on my phone. Now I like the spire, don’t get me wrong. However I also have an audio interface that works with any daw I plug it into and I can get straight to mixing without having to import files. Now I love what the spire can do, the quality that the vocals can display are great but because I can only record into the spire daw with my spire device I find myself not using it anymore. Now if I could use the izotope spire in any daw, that would be amazing... maybe even making spire and the spire device have audio unit extension capabilities. There are updates that should and probably could happen... but auv3 spire through cubasis? That would most definitely be the best! Hopefully something like that happens and I can use my izotope spire again..Version: 2.28.0

Innovative, with room for improvementThe Spire hardware + iOS app is a pioneering combination of hardware and software, but it has some frustrating limitations. Bulk transfer of projects from the Spire Studio -> iOS device is sorely missing, so backing up projects is a chore that involves tapping each one and waiting for it to transfer before moving on to the next. And if you are hoping to use your recorded audio files in a DAW, there is no way to access your files directly via the native iOS Files app (which is also integrated with MacOS) — instead you need to open each project individually within the Spire app and export the raw audio files from there. I currently have over 100 Spire projects and the audio feels “locked in” because exporting the audio from each project is so cumbersome. It would take me hours just to get the raw audio files onto my laptop. Also, the amps/effects for guitar are underwhelming and generally sound thin. A $40 AmPlug 2 from Vox sounds much better. Still: this is a unique and compelling device that does some things, like quickly tracking vocals and raw guitar takes, very well. It is great being able to start recording on the Spire Studio within ~30 seconds (including soundcheck) without having to look at a screen. I hope iZotope continues to invest in it..Version: 2.35.0

Good, but not totally accessible for blind usersI am a blind user. I purchased the Spire Studio on a recommendation. After the initial trouble of syncing the recorder with the app without being able to see the blinking lights to perform the operation, I have finally been able to use it. The sound I get with my guitar is amazing. The app could use some fine tuning for accessibility... not all parts are clearly labeled, and I am able to mix different tracks, sort of. But still trying to figure it out. Apparently there’s no manual. If a little more work were to be put in to make the app more blind user friendly, and some instructions to go with it, that would be wonderful and I would revise my 4 to a 5. If you are blind or V.I., be ready to put in some time with trial and error, and don’t use any important files until you have a grasp on the platform, or if you have backups..Version: 2.36.1

Best Studio App available!I’ve used Spire Studio for close to 2 years to do professional recordings that have been used in radio advertisements, tv commercials, and a few industry releases. It has a great built-in Mic with a dope Soundcheck feature to give your recordings great volume without clipping. New vocal effects are amazing. Plus several other effects available. One of the best tools is the Mixing window. It is simple enough for beginners to use, but can deliver the same quality and results the pros put out. Export to other Spire users to collab, export to email, or even upload directly to SoundCloud without any extra work. By far the best Studio app I own. Use it on a daily basis. Get Spire Studio, you won’t be disappointed..Version: 2.20.0

Needs copy/paste or loopingThe convenience of this app is great, but the big limitation for me is a lack of a copy/paste or looping function. For instance: if I want to create a 4-bar drum beat, I have to play it through the entire length of the proverbial song instead of being able to play just one 4-bar segment, and then copy/paste or loop it to build a base for my track. I should be able to play as many or few beats as I want and then build it out to create, let’s say, a 16-bar verse section. Then put in a chorus section, and then go back and copy/paste the verse section again for 16 more bars of a second verse, etc. Yeah, I know I can export into a DAW and do this, but if I’m gonna go to that trouble, why bother with this app at all? Am I missing something? Seems like a basic addition to a music creation app like this. I can’t be expected to play perfectly in time for a whole 4 minute song, can I? ;).Version: 2.45.0

Missing some key elementsIt blows my mind that without the actual expensive studio set, you cannot plug in an external mic or even headset mic to record. I can only record through my crappy iPhone microphone itself, which is garbage sound quality and basically renders the app relatively useless for recording music, as the quality is poor and everything sounds muddied no matter what I do. Spire, why don’t you have the option to do this? Literally every other recording app I’ve tried (probably 10-15), when you plug in an external mic or headphones that have a mic, it records via that. Is this to make people buy the studio? If so that’s a low blow. I appreciate many other things about this app and would prefer to use it above the others, but having my iPhone mic be the only option, I can’t use this app for music recording. Am I missing something here? Would love a response from Spire..Version: 2.26.0

Best recording app paid for or notI have fallen in love with this app and it has taken my music soaring to new heights. As a singer/songwriter it is amazing to write a song and then record it right from my phone and then share that with all my devices. You can’t sing one chorus perfect and then cut and paste it through out the song so you have to know your material and you can’t enhance edit and filter each individual track so you have to learn to produce the sound your looking for yourself but I like that. I think the newest update introduced some new features so sorry if I’m selling you guys short spire but all I want people to take away from this is “best recording app paid for or not”.Version: 2.64.0

No more updates!I enjoy the spire hardware and the app, however it is really disappointing to know that regular (if any updates) will be made to the app anymore…I reached out to izotope on Instagram and they said that no planned updates are in the works because spire is “no longer a focus”. It’s frustrating because the hardware and the software both only work with each other, I can’t use the spire hardware on any other DAW that has continuous updates, the current app is fine but I was looking forward to more updates, such as copy/paste, easier punching into tracks, the ability to add reverb to each track with the option to add before or after I record…just some weird things with the app that could be improved but I guess won’t be now, they just came out with version 2 last year…..Version: 2.64.0

Spire studioI go by the Stage name Towi-Zaza And I encourage all upcoming artists or even professional artists to make use of the Spire Studio, because it is very efficient. I can testify, it’s is also easy to use, once you are able to get used to the function and understand them better. Also very easy to send out files in different formats, in general I will also add that this has saved me a lot of money, as regards to studio recordings session, also saves me the time and energy and also the process of working in the studio. Not saying Studio work is not very important, but we all know you cannot sleep inside the studio, but you can carry the spire studio everywhere with U like I do. 😇.Version: 2.64.0

Amazing AppAfter searching for software to record playing my sax playing with background piano I stumbled onto this. This app is amazing in its simplicity for recording multiple tracks and then sharing the file (project) or tracks. I have been using it on my iPad just with built in microphone. I can simply import a piano score previously saved in my music then play my sax on a separate track along with it. My mind is churning with the possibilities this will make. While the quick short videos may do it for someone who knows the system it doesn’t for someone trying to learn it. I am sold and just ordered the Spire Studio saving tons of money to achieve my goal of a simple studio. Keep it up. You guys Rock in my book!.Version: 2.19.1

I don’t recommend thisI’ve used this app for about a month now for recording myself play guitar, but there is one thing that constantly always bothers me. You CANNOT set the starting point in editing/trimming. So, let’s say there’s 10 seconds of unneeded audio in the beginning of the recording; getting your instrument or whatever setup and the music sheet ready, and then you start playing. Well, there is absolutely no way to get rid of that starting 10 seconds of junk. You can’t do it in the trim, because all it does is delete the audio inside that timeframe, so you’ll have 10 starting seconds of silence without any way to get rid of it. Imagine with every movie you watch, each scene starts includes “Alright, everybody ready? Remember your lines? Okay, now action!” That would be a very annoying movie. Just use Voice Memos..Version: 2.17.0

Easy but powerful, and evolving in the right ways.I upgraded to the Spire Studio v2 and I’m still using the app to start all my tracks. Having used Zen Beats, Cubasis, and GarageBand; I feel that Spire (with the Spire Studio) is the best mobile recording app around. I don’t need all the VSTs and instruments of the competition. I just want high quality takes of my instruments that, and Spire does that. I wish there were more icons. I have a few synths and basically I have to use the Keys icon for all of them. Being able to change the color at least would make sorting and mixing go more smoothly. Otherwise I’m always muting or soloing and figure out which is which..Version: 2.50.0

It’s just- I can’t describe itThis app was amazing. I was thinking this might be another bum app that I wouldn’t be able to figure out how to use but it wasn’t. It was clear as day to me. I used this to make a song for my girlfriend and I have to admit even I cried when I realized how well it came out. All my emotions were caught in it and I was able to add some extra things to it to make it sound better. I’m glad this app was made. You don’t know how much this means to me. If u don’t get enough downloads then these people don’t know what real stuff is. I have u guys to thank for this opportunity to make music for myself and loved ones.Version: 2.40.0

Grateful for SpireI have been a musician for 33 years, and I checked on a whim one day to see if a mobile, multi-tracking app even existed and Spire appeared. I’m so grateful for this app and how quickly I am able to “save” musical ideas and hit record within seconds so that fleeting ideas are not lost forever. I’m writing the best music of my entire life, and Spire is a tremendous reason for that! *If I could improve anything, I would make folders available to group instruments, songs or ideas together to stay more organized and if I go listen to an old recording, I wish it would not take me back to the very top every time..Version: 2.17.0

Spire is amazingI’ve had this app for a ling time and haven't used it much until I started exploring it but it has been helping with getting the best audio and a lot of high quality sound for my tracks that I've been making (I’m a musician that plays many instruments. However, the thing I enjoy most is beatboxing and thats what I do most). My interest in this app is exponential and I use this app just about every time I'm making a new routine for beatboxing or other things as well now. Thank you for making this amazing app! It has helped me grow as a musician and not just as a beatboxer. -Ty “AdventBBX” Allen.Version: 2.13.0

Sounds great....but...This is a super cool unit. Sounds great and is easy to use. This app needs basic editing features though on the recording timeline. Would be nice to be able to use loops instead of having to import full tracks? Also to be able to lightly comp your takes would also be nice (cut, paste, duplicate, basic editing features). I realize Izotope isn’t aiming to make this a DAW, but it really doesn’t make sense to go PRO but not have basic PRO features. I suppose an amazing work around could be an AU plugin that allows you to use the hardware with other mobile daws such as Cubasis? As an interface and idea machine it’s better than voice memos, but I rarely use it because it just doesn’t feel complete to me..Version: 2.46.0

This little device is a game changerWe have PreSonus Studio 5 Professional and it’s way too much studio for our needs. Got our Spire yesterday and started in today. In less than an hour we had composed and recorded an instrumental track. Imported the drums from PreSonus then recorded rhythm, lead, bass guitar and organ parts. Plugged all the instruments straight in and used the provided amps. Mixing was so easy the cat could have done then shared it with our band members and on social media. Had a listen and even on a phone the sound really sparkles. All I can add is get one, you won’t be disappointed..Version: 2.30.0

Almost thereHello, just wanted to say that this app has some potential. However, there are a few things that I have to suggest. The first one is that I would like some more things to do with your vocal tracks such as echo or reverb. Whenever I record my freestyles to a beat I find my vocals to be very dull and does not sound that good. There are other free apps that sound a little better than this one. The second idea is voiceover support. I have low vision and some parts of the app don’t work such as track editing. It would be cool if you could fix some of those problems. Other than that, that’s all I have. Keep up the good work..Version: 2.31.0

High QualitySpire is a high quality audio recording alternative to basic app services, and with the right settings can easily outperform the others on all quality benchmarks. Whether together with other Spire products, as a standalone soundcapture, or even as a part of a larger production suite, this app can really deliver a surprisingly professional sound that unlocks the true potential of your Apple device. If you want results, and value audio clarity, this is the app for you! Thank you, Spire. And have fun, everyone!.Version: 2.64.0

Please if you can add more tracksI do like to set up I use voice over and it works very well with that. But eight tracks isn’t good enough because I don’t record a song all the way through. So by the time I’m done with all of my recordings I still have the third verse and the chorus to finish if there was more tracks than I could record more. I know this may illuminate a feature. But maybe once you hit the record button a second time maybe you can still stay on that same track until you manually want to move to the third track.Version: 2.52.0

PerfectGreat great great. Nothing bad to say about it. There are a few minor adjustments that would make the app better but even in this state it’s perfect. If possible they should add better effects in the pro version it’s not worth paying for those few options. Also add more tracks to record. After 8 tracks you have to layer the tracks by recording over them in empty places vs having a fresh track. Anyhow I love the mobile studio haven’t found anything to compare & the mic is great! Perfect app!.Version: 2.64.0

The best investment you can make.I love the Spire Studio! It has helped me develop songs in ways I haven’t been able to before. Having the ability to multi track a song within minutes with virtually zero setup and have it sound studio quality is priceless. I was even able to take demos I created on the Spire Studio and bring them to the recording studio and continue to build the tracks from there. I even did over dubs using the Spire. Saved me a lot of time and money on my last album. I can’t recommend this device enough..Version: 2.12.0

Great tool for songwritersIf you are constantly writing songs and don’t want to interrupt the creative process by sitting in front of a computer, then this is the best solution. It’s incredibly mobile with the rechargeable battery that you can take it anywhere. The built in mic sounds great on instruments and vocals and the interface is so simple and innovative in the way it provides a visual mixing environment. This has improved my productivity enormously vs being stuck behind a desk starting at a computer. Great app and great product..Version: 2.19.1

Nice FeaturesWhile I don’t have the stand alone unit I do have the app. I’m familiar with what I can do with other apps on my iPhone like BandLab which I use a lot but one thing you can’t do from the iPhone app is save the stems separately. On the Spire App you can do this, they call them Tracks, and I think that is reason alone to use the app for initial recordings. I’d have to have a Spire Studio to know if it would end up replacing my other recording mics and apps for the Spire and Spire Studio..Version: 2.64.0

Spire izotopeOverall it’s super simple to use. So far it seems to lack anyway to punch in and out to pull two pieces of a track together which make it difficult. You either have to get a track perfect in one take or try to punch in on the same track to continue the recording which is tough to do. Maybe I just can’t figure out how to do it yet but everything else is really simple so it seems it’s just not an option. For just recording a vocal track, and individual instrument tracks and layering them it’s great, but anything more doesn’t seem doable..Version: 2.15.0

Latest UpdateI actually like this device for a number of reasons. Easy to use & designed & manufactured in my area. Latest update must have done something to yield less than desirable results. I had 15 minutes to capture an idea & lost it due to some unknown malfunction. Had everything ready to go & the device connected to iPhone X. Performed sound check & attempted to record but no monitoring or recording took place. Multiple restarts & troubleshooting yield no success. Opted to go with my go to which is iPhone voice memos. Frustrated & disappointed that I lost critical time. I have used voice memos for years & it’s the only thing that does not let me down when I need to capture ideas on the fly. Maybe that’s all I need if Spire can’t deliver on the simplest of tasks. So disappointed in what ever Spire did with my expensive idea recorder..Version: 2.10.0

Am i the only one who wants more track editing??This is an amazing and intuitive app, nearly perfect. I can’t seem to find any way to edit my audio! The “trim” feature is very well-designed, but too limited! For example, if i am recording backup vocals but decide i don’t want to use all the vocals i record, there is no way in this app to delete only the sections I don’t want; you can only delete ALL the audio before or after a trim point. I would gladly pay for a version of this app with more robust editing features and audio effects.Version: 2.6.0

Go-To For Song IdeasI mostly use this to save single track recordings of song ideas. The multiple tracks are great but I rarely have a wired headset with mic to overdub with, and with Bluetooth headphones, there’s too much latency. My number one request, and I hope someone can provide a solution, is a way to bulk transfer all recordings from my phone to my PC. I’ve got far too many to export one at a time. Any solution for this?.Version: 2.64.0

Mind Blowing!!!Eye have been producing music from my in home stu setup since 2017, izotope has brought my sound quality to the next level with this app + interface. The DAW is super easy to use on mobile, fluid control and in depth editing ability. The mic effects are BEAUTIFUL, Eye was very surprised by how well my track was mixed. Eye wish Eye was able to duplicate tracks; slice, copy & paste. It would also be helpful to expand on the effects library.Version: 2.23

Fun, easy to use, but sad...Everything about this app is amazing. The souls is great and it’s super easy to use. The only problem I’ve run into is creating harmonized parts or overdoubs. I’ll play something in parts so that there’s depth to my song. And every time I try to to add to parts to play at the same time, in the Dane timing... the part that I add is delayed by about a sec. and it totally screws the song up. I don’t know why this is happening if I just need to reset things or something. But other than the delayed track problem this app is great!.Version: 2.32.0

Confidence BoosterWhat’s good world! My names Cino, a songwriter and aspiring artist from the south, and I’m looking to polish my sound and my confidence when recording at a big studio. I hit a home run when I found the Spire App. I’ve been using Spire for 3 months now and instantly I had progressive results in my return to the big studio. Spire allows me to record possibly anywhere I’m most comfortable. I use it to record rough drafts or store hooks, melodies, verses and any other creative content I think of on the go. The app allows you upload beats, create separate tracks and also has a small range of mixing tools. I recommend all pursuing artist that’s looking to build confidence, create limitlessly and save time in the big studios, download the Spire app, not now, but RIGHT NOW!!.Version: 2.43.0

Please updateI feel like we should be able to scroll through the different voice effects, and this is just me but we should be able to copy the recording to maybe add a two voice effect. I’m tired of randomly selecting the voice effect and not being able to go back. There should be more of a open view instead of a little view. Other than that I love the app, made my first song on there and it didn’t disappoint..Version: 2.64.0

Too simple to get lost in. Hooray! The Spire app and Studio hardware are a game changer for me. I’m a slider sliding, knob hobbling, button bumping menu diver with a diving bell helmet on (usually). But this app makes me stick to the music only. Live performance onto a recording is what this system elicits. I can produce final products in half the time because of the automated imbedded plug ins from sound check to the final export. YES the hardware is worth the money. But even the app standalone is a game changer..Version: 2.24.0

Best PIECE OF EQUIPMENT EVER MADE FOR A RECORDING ARTIST!!!Big Big shoutout to Spire & Izotope 💯 This is the best investment I’ve ever made! I’ve been using Spire Pro since 2020 and the quality is so amazing that everyone assumes it was recorded, mixed & mastered at an actual studio 🤣 When I tell them my setup they call me a Legend lol. The credit belongs to y’all for creating such a masterpiece💯Y’all are the real Legends! I would definitely recommend to ANY & EVERYONE looking to start recording at home or on the go!.Version: 2.43.0

Fiddle and guitar player. So easy and smooth. Perfect app for making quick sketches of your music. Multi tracking has never been this easy and intuitive. I would pay for this app. Works perfectly. I have now added the spire studio and it eclipses my 24 track tascam studio. So seamless and easy, great sounds, versatility. I’d use the tascam for something really complex, but the spire almost all the time. Amazing. Simple..Version: 2.22.0

THE BEST RECORDING APPTHIS IS THE BEST RECORDING APP EVER ME AND MY FIANCÉ HAD A SCUFFLE LONG STORY SHORT SHE BROKE MY LAPTOP I WAS HURT DOWN BAD FOR ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR BUT AROUND MY BIRTHDAY LAST IN SEPTEMBER I FOUND THIS MASTERPIECE APP OFF THE RANDOM LIKE I HAD THE URGE TO RECORD I WAS GONNA USE THE VOICE MEMO APP BUT UNTIL I FOUND SPIRE. 🔥Had it for a year now and find the upgrades to be very useful. As a artist I find it very nice that I can take my time and not spend lots of money at a studio that may not really want to put in the work to make you sound like you want . I’m still learning so it’s a nice machine to help those who aren’t that musically inclined. Personally it was a dream come true for me keep up the good work ppl. PS can we get a way to duplicate or auto tune just asking for a friend..Version: 2.19.1

Well doneI’ve tried other similar apps, and honestly nothing is even comparable. Spire is great for a hobbyist looking to explore creating music and actually getting solid audio output. Thanks..Version: 2.33.0

Spire hardware great but software needs improvementI own the Spire hardware and it is a pretty great piece of kit. However, the software is really lacking relative to other solutions I have used in the past. The copy, paste and punch-in features are very very limited. This is exceptionally frustrating when you consider that $80 software I bought from Cakewalk in 1999 had fully featured copy and paste options (as well as the option to move tracks to anywhere in the project), while this software which manages a $550 CAD piece of hardware in 2018 can barely handle any editing whatsoever. You also cannot copy a track from one project and import it into another, which touches on my next issue: You can only import one external audio file into your project and only when you first start the project. This doesn’t seem like a big deal, until you’ve already imported a drum track from Garage Band and decide that you want to add some strings from Garage band after the fact, and then realize you have to start a whole new project with both those tracks already bumped into an MP3 to make that work. When you consider (like I mentioned) that you can’t copy tracks from one project top another, you can see the frustration of having to completely re-record everything to make something like this work! Oh ya, and you can also only undo the last thing you recorded. Another huge issue is that it only exports projects in a proprietary format. So if you are using other software or want to upload into Garage Band that isn’t happening either. All-in-all there needs to be more care taken with the software, especially since there are now users who have purchased some pretty pricey hardware that this program now supports. It was great when it was all free, but it isn’t up to my expectations for what you pay for the Spire Hardware. I have faith that future updates will make this software more fully featured (or at least bring it up to basic expectations. But until then, it is frustrating..Version: 2.6.0

Demo Glory!!!Been looking for something like this for years. Live monitoring/playback on my earbuds while recording the mic on my phone! Majorly useful for demoing ideas. Almost like a brainless 4-track recorder. So unbelievably easy to use. Cool mixing UI design. You can’t do fancy DAW things... and that’s the best part. Would give 5 stars if I could access a simple eq on each track for less than $60/yr. oof..Version: 2.45.0

Not bad but needs moreReally need the ability to trim the whole project or a channel to a specific number of beats/bars otherwise the looping is off. Some basic effects like reverb would be great too..Version: 2.5.0

Le son est parfait mais…Bonjours, Will there be a way to adjust the brightness of the lights on the top of the device? I like to play at night with the lights off, but the Spire lights are way too dazzling! Thank’s Merci.Version: 2.64.0

Some useful new features still no track alignment. The notes is useful for lyrics or reminders while recording, and undo feature can allow quick retakes of tracks. Honestly the headphone feature is beyond annoying. Creating a 1/2s lag when using Bluetooth headphones which wouldn’t be so bad if you could shift the tracks to align them but I see no option for it. I assume the pitch is “buy our spire pro recording product” in which case I’m using my laptop...Version: 2.55.0

Great productThis is one of the best recording applications for the iPhone or iPad (especially paired with the spire studio) however I wish the iPad app could rotate to landscape!.Version: 2.51.0

Bhutani it’s a nice one but needs quality effects like compressor, Equalizer and reverb proI bought this hardware in 2018 after watching many reviews on YouTube and google .I found it very nice for vocal and instruments recording but I felt something missing that is on the aforesaid .This hardware would be the best if the aforesaid is included in the next update ..Version: 2.36.1

Great sound qualityAs an artist, I really get a clean clear sound for voiceover auditions and jingles. A great addition in this ever changing recording industry. Would love a DAW program from Spire for my desktop. Would definitely purchase..Version: 2.31.0

SpireTurns my mic into something else!.Version: 2.25.0

Good app however it keeps kicking me out? There seems to be a problem with opening the app at all as it just exits almost immediately upon launching it. Kinda sucks cause all my projects are still on there. Hasn’t really been buggy in the past, please try to fix it if possible, thanks..Version: 2.24.0

ExcellentThank u.Version: 2.23

Recording in your comfort zoneWhat can I say about how convenient this machine is. First of all, amazing quality. You record your tracks for a simple project or you send those tracks to your DAW or anyone else’s if you need to make it a bigger project and go from there. Basically, I use it’s my interface and it’s so easy to use..Version: 2.23

SpireIt’s awesome I just got it and I can’t sleep I’m so excited with it I wished it had vocal harmony on effects.Version: 2.19.1

App is good but limitedNo effects in the app without the hardware. Good for basic recording otherwise. I would rate it higher if effects and other extras were included, or at least possible as in-app purchases, for those of us that don’t own the hardware..Version: 2.22.0

This is a great little appStacking takes is easy and fun. My favourite new way to get ideas down. Add a very simple verb and eq, and it’s an easy 5 stars!.Version: 2.19.1

Really good butCan you update the app so that my recording saves to my camera roll.Version: 2.19.1

The best of its kindIve tried for years to find a product with the perfect combination of quality and ease of use . as a songwriter i dont want to get bogged down with technical applications that distract me from my goal which to write great songs . Spire delivers that for me..Version: 2.17.0

Literally perfectThis is the best app I’ve ever used oh my GOD thank you so much I’ve been looking for this exact app for so long.Version: 2.16.0

GreatSpire could hardly be better for being free. I would really recommend. Great UI and sound quality. The only qualm I have about it is that when I go and trim all tracks right in the front, I end up with that much white space which is kind of annoying. But other than that, it’s a gr8t app altogether..Version: 2.16.0

Spire studioWithout a doubt the easiest gizmo to use and the sound quality incredible..Version: 2.15.0

Great product !Great product !.Version: 2.12.0

Finally!A great little app that lets you share to social media... YES!.Version: 2.8.0

Good, but find out what is going on in iOS...I use a ton of Izotope stuff on the desktop, Ozone Advanced, Nectar, Iris 2, and more. What I don’t get is why big Desktop developers don’t research what is actually going on in iOS that makes it great: AUv3, IAA, Audiobus. Have Propellerhead, Izotope, Shure, NI not even looked into the possibilities available to make their very good apps compatible with these options? It never seems that way, and the whole development process for them seems quite walled garden in philosophy. For me and (yes, over 10,000 FB iPad Musician members who btw also use hardware and desktop stuff) thousands of other it is simply not good enough to bother with most of the time when there is all that connectivity available from the little guys. Pay attention, please..Version: 2.12.0

Just one thingIt’s really good - although I wish there was an option to upload to YouTube since I don’t get how SoundCloud works.Version: 2.10.0

First there was instant coffee now there’s instant music productionBox off recording on. Intuitive. No learning curve. It’s instant. Brilliant software engineers. Thank you..Version: 2.9.0

Amazing user interfaceLooking for a multitrack recorder that does not hog my memory. So easy to use, amazing export functions. Great sound...best first impression of an app. I never write reviews, so kudos to the team!.Version: 1.2.1

Super! It is great. I only wish there was a way? To record more tracks and/or combine tracks...maybe there is, I just haven't figured it out.....Version: 1.1.0

Enfin!Fantastique ! Et le son!!'.Version: 1.0.0

Love itA nice tool to write quick ideas with harmonies or any overdub. Wish it had a simple reverb or EQ but it's great for free..Version: 1.0.0
