TonalEnergy Tuner & Metronome App Comments & Reviews

TonalEnergy Tuner & Metronome Positive Reviews

Very Useful but Slight ProblemThis app has everything I could realistically want from it. It’s a great tuner and a great metronome. There is one very slight problem with it though.. the daily streak feature doesn’t work. I know this seems very minor and insignificant, but I actually find motivation in keeping up a daily streak as much I can, so it’s somewhat upsetting when it resets me for no real reason. This didn’t always happen, but as of the past few months, my streak has reset when I have KNOWN that I practiced the day before. This is more often, I’ve noticed, on days that I just open the app to quickly check my tuning pitch for a brief minute, so I wonder if this problem roots from the app not having enough time to register the day? I’m no developer, so I don’t know if that is a possibility. Just to clarify, it usually works; it just occasionally resets despite me having practiced. I’m curious if others have had this problem; I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, but nothing changed. Regardless of this minor issue, everything else about the app is fantastic. Keep up the great work!.Version: 1.7.2

Good app but don’t like the sound choicesI have just started using this app and it seems to have the main functions I was looking to consolidate from multiple other apps I use - mainly a metronome and a piano keyboard to give me notes to work through vocal practices / figure out harmonies. Also was looking for an app to buy, rather than a free app, because the ads in the free apps get annoying (and seem to be getting worse, e.g. making you watch 5 seconds of a commercial before it allows you to close it). And this one has a tuner to boot. I do have 2 suggestions: 1) Call me crazy, but if I’m just giving myself a note to sing from, I’d love it if the piano keyboard display had the option to sound like a piano. You can make it sound like a whole bunch of different instruments, many with kind of cheesy tones, but piano is not one of them. 2) Would like a mute button on the metronome, such that when in the metronome page, you can see the box (or the screen) flashing the time but without the click. I can accomplish this by turning down the volume on the side of my phone, but it takes a lot of pushes to do that so it can’t be done quickly. Otherwise I do like this app..Version: 1.7

It's OK, to me the tuner is not greatThis app was highly recommended by a friend, he had used it in our vocal rehearsals to give us pitches and tempos. I bought it to try and consolidate all the functions I need in to one app. Initially I found the tuner very jumpy, and I don't like the smiley face with concentric half circles tuning model at all, so I wrote a pretty harsh review. The developer contacted me and pointed out the string tuning mode, which I initially couldn't find because it's not in the tuning section; it's under the sound tab. It makes it much easier to tune my guitar (and it has setting for many stringed instruments from viola to banjo) but if I try to sing long tones or play them on my trumpet, I'm back in the happy face tuner. In theory it should work but to me, the slightest pitch change in a long tone causes the rings to jump erratically. I think that the string mode rescued the app from deletion, and added one star to my rating, but I will still sing and play long tones into the free "pano tuner" rather than deal with the unhappy happy faces. Kudos to the developer for helping me find my way around the app. One more quick gripe, if I'm singing with the metronome playing, the app hears the click and reacts to it, so you essentially can't tune with the metronome on..Version: 1.5.4

10/10 I love this app!!TE tuner is a one stop shop for all practicing needs. It’s got a great and versatile metronome, with a wide selection of metronome sounds, and can provide drones for tuning in any number of timbres and even helps you tune in different temperaments and pitch standards. The tuner is very customizable. It allows you to select how picky the tuner’s range of what it accepts as “in tune” is. I can set it to ultra fine (which only allows one hundredth of a half step on either side of the note as wiggle room) for tuning my strings, then switch to just “fine” if I need to cut myself some slack while practicing scales and intervals. The tuner also has different modes for strings, winds and voice. I don’t know exactly how the modes differ on a technical level, but I’ve found them to work as intended. The user interface is elegantly designed and lays all of this app’s many features out in an intuitively navigable way. This app has become a really helpful resource in my daily practice, and I can’t recommend it enough to musicians at any level..Version: 2.3.6

Great Gadget!I use this app every day. I especially like the metronome features. I program in the meters and measures of my Brass Band music at tempo then I can play through each piece without stopping to check my tempo through the changes. The app allows you to put in rits. and every other variation of tempo needed in performance. I also use the drones for long tone practices. If during a rehearsal there is a questionable interval, I just write down what pitch the other guys got and when I get home I work with the tuner/drone just to make sure that my parts where it needs to be.I haven’t started to dive into the practice log yet. So except for the practice log I use every other feature that I know this app is capable of every day. I personally find it to be a very robust and flexible program. The updates are always current. I’ve never had any response problems with it. I couldn’t even imagine not having this app. As an older person it is a tool I really wish I could’ve had when I was starting out..Version: 2.3.6

So much more than a tunerI use this app every day for myself and my students. There are so many useful tools in the metronome plus section, allowing me to have preset click tracks to help students learn when and how to subdivide in their music. I can also make click tracks with drones for warmups which has greatly helped resonance an intonation. The drone tool within clock tracks is so helpful allowing me to take the brain power from playing chords on the piano, to tapping on each pre programmed drone I made for my students to match. The sound wave function is also so helpful for students to see their volume and pitch alter on note changes both as soloists and as an ensemble on their warmups and literature. Your teaching will be so much more organized and streamlined if you really delve into this app. Take time to read up or go to one of their professional development sessions!.Version: 2.3.2

The perfect tool for musiciansTE Tuner is the perfect tool for musicians. It is way more than a tuner. It has an extremely flexible useful metronome, it generates sounds for drone work, and it’s analysis page is useful on so many levels it’s hard to begin to say which feature is the best. As a woodwind player I use it to analyze my airstream, my tuning and watch my timing. This app also allows the user to record themselves, using high-quality audio files if needed. These files can be exported for use in other apps, or to share with others, and audio files can be imported into the app. I have been recommending this app to all my students, and just about any other musician who I encounter. I use it every day during my practice sessions and it has become an indispensable tool for my daily practice. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I cannot recommend TE Tuner more highly..Version: 2.0.4

Tuner is out of tune?I compared the tuner function against multiple korg model timers and found this app to be all over the map with the tuning. Some notes that were in tune on the korg tuners were showing 15 cents flat or sharp!! That is a problem with the app. How can you have a “tuning” app out of tune? I’ll be sticking with the korg. BTW they were both set at 440 UPDATE: I revised my original rating from 2 stars to 5. First because after a great response by the developer I discovered that I had a setting incorrect even though the Hz setting was correct. Second because of the excellent customer service! I never expected Total Energy to read my review but they did and they reacted to make sure I was satisfied. That is rare these days!!! Awesome tuner...I have since retested the App vs. the various Korg model tuners I have and they are all spot on!.Version: 1.5.3

Mixed meter metronome issuesI love this app and use it nearly every day. It’s an excellent place to start my practicing and rehearsals. The ability to create metronome presets is really helpful, but I find it really difficult to program anything with mixed meter. It’s an issue that doesn’t effect everyone, but I’d really appreciate being able to create a click track for a piece with meter changes where the sixteenth note remains constant. The current process is really clunky and makes things really confusing. It’s also impossible to practice things under tempo without editing every single preset. For a piece with probably 80 meter changes, it’s almost not worth it. The current methods for asymmetrical meters are pretty annoying to deal with. I feel like it’s much more common to see music in 7/8 where the tempo is given by the quarter note rather than dotted quarter, and would love for the interface to reflect that..Version: 2.0.9

Please Add a Spectrogram with lines indicating all twelve chromatic notesThere was an app in the AppStore that is unfortunately no longer here, called pitchlab guitar tuner. Why I preferred it for use in rehearsals such as for my saxophone quartet or saxophone section is because it maps all the notes being played (by multiple people!) on a spectrogram with lines that show the frequency of all twelve chromatic pitches for tuning comparison. If a note was far away from a line, it was out of tune. It was also helpful for being able to see vibrato. Especially if we are working as a section on playing vibrato together, you could actually see if everyone is playing vibrato and see exactly what the vibrato looks like! I already noticed the spectral feature in your app, however I don’t see how it could be useful to musicians given the current design of it. Anyways please add this feature, if you do it’ll make my day :).Version: 2.0.9

Amazing but increasingly buggyI love this app and use it every practice session, as it has many awesome features that I’ve yet to see elsewhere, including recording analysis, random beat silencing in the metronome, and many options for sound of metronome or drone. However, I find myself frustrated that this app gets buggier each time Apple puts out a new update. My running tally is as follows: - only uses one of my phone’s main speakers for audio, making any drone or met functions useless on my phone without a Bluetooth device. - if I use the pitch tab to set a drone and then move to the analysis tab, all my drones stop playing when I move to any other tab, forcing me to either set up all my drones again or to simply just not use this function in conjunction with drones. - Every time I open the app, I have to swipe down to my phone settings screen for it to register and use my connected Bluetooth device. Very frustrating in conjunction with the first point. - completely crashes if I get a phone call while recording audio. None of these issues are deal breakers for me, but they cause me frustration every day, and I would like if updates were more focused on fixing these issues that impact ease of use and functionality over giving us practice streaks and emojis on our tuners..Version: 2.3.6

Best Ever!!This is the Best tool ever for improving tone! I am an inspiring soprano saxophonist—it is one of the most difficult instruments to play in-tune. I struggled for an entire year using other resources and methods to develop my tone. Use of the sustain mode using my Bluetooth headphones has trained my ear to almost perfectly matching tone. The Activity Summary is an exceptional daily journal of my progress and has helped me to troubleshoot my embrouchure. Over a three week period my tone quality has improved 65%. I’m SOOOO excited about my progress and future as a sexy senior sax player…. Regardless of where you are in your musical journey Be sure to get this App! Best tool EVER for developing your ear and refining your sound!.Version: 2.0.9

Best met i’ve usedThis is absolutely the best met app. With the ability to program the counts for matching practice like dr beat, the litany of met sounds, a tuner, note generator, and ability to switch between just and equal temperaments, tonal energy has everything I could want. Small error I’ve noticed on the timer part of the metronome app - when you first start the timer, no matter what time you set it for, it defaults to 24 hours. After stopping and re-inputting your time, it works flawlessly for the rest of the time the app is open. So, it’s an annoying bug but not an app-breaking bug. It seems to only happen the first time each time I open the app..Version: 2.3.6

Amazing value!I am a music student and lesson teacher so I pretty much use this app every day. I’ve tried a bunch of the other metronome apps on the App Store and none of them even come close to the quality and reliability of this one. The tuner is great and the metronome is reliable and has a ton of subdivisions and time signatures. One of my favorite functions is the ability to create click tracks. I found this to be extremely helpful when practicing pieces that change meter often. You can even save multiple click tracks and share them to others. All in all this is be of the best small purchases I’ve made, well worth the money!.Version: 2.0.9

Where’s Taptic Apple Watch Feature?I use this app every day but I keep hoping for each update to let me feel the rhythm via taptics via my watch. I thought this update would finally offer it since the app notes speak of fixes to the AppleWatch app. If it’s now included, where is it? How is it accessed? Or does the app just give me a remote control to my phone without taptics? If so, that’s pretty useless since it’s easier to set the app on the phone. If it’s impossible to offer that feature due to limitations of the OS, please state that and I’ll just continue to use the app normally. Otherwise I think TE Tuner is an incredible app for musicians and students..Version: 2.0.0

Totally RecommendI play the French Horn and it is a very difficult instrument, so with this tuner app I have been playing so much better than I was when I didn’t have this tuner. I don’t have experience with other tuner apps so I can’t tell you if they are bad or good, but I can tell you that this app is phenomenal and it is totally worth the money. This app was recommended to me by my private tutor and at first I didn’t have very high hopes cause I am easily disappointed and I got to say this is the first thing that wasn’t a disappointment. This is my very first review on anything since I’m only 13, I hope I wasn’t annoying or rude..Version: 1.7.2

Good not quite greatSolid app that I use for practicing. I use mostly the sound wheel as a reference/pedal tone but also use the tuner and metronome sometimes. It does a lot and actually probably does a little too much - does anyone really use the analyzer for anything practical? :) Complaints: UI is a little clunky sometimes. For example, in the sound wheel some instruments have limited range and not all octaves work. But if you aren’t paying attention, it just seems like some of the notes aren’t working until you realize that instrument doesn’t go that low/high. But really they should not be included then (the clarinet has 2-3 8ves that are completely non-functional) OR provide some feedback so you k is it isn’t a malfunction and you have to change your octave setting. The watch app doesn’t work for me - it’s a cool potential feature but I hear no sound for any part of it. The mic also seems to not work for the tuning function. There is also a bug there in the volume control, where you can’t swipe up to close it. Overall a pretty good purchase but wish those other aspects were better. :).Version: 1.7.2

AMAZING 100% WORTH THE MONEYThis app is amazing!!! i am a musician, and struggled with many other metronome/tuning apps. none of them worked quite right for me, until a friend recommended tonal energy to me. it’s tuner is amazing and has helped me develop a great, steady tone. i love that there are different settings for how finely you want to be tuned. it’s been very good for me as i progress in my playing. i participate in marching band and a few different concert bands and nearly everyone there has this app. you can ask most anyone who has this app and they will tell you it is 100% worth the money. it’s amazing and worth the time. my musicianship has improved so much since i’ve had tonal energy..Version: 1.6.1

This App Has No LimitsThis app is unbelievably detailed and well-designed. It's so versatile that it can hardly be considered just a tuner app. It contains a wide variety of temperaments, and it will allow you to create some of your own. It contains just about (if not) every time signature you'll ever come across. The metronome also allows you to choose which beats are accented and which beats you'd like to take out. The app also allows you to analyze the overtones of a sound, record sounds, generate tones using sine/saw/square waves or the timbre of different musical instruments, and SO much more. I definitely think this app is a luxury that many musicians ought to know about..Version: 1.5.3

Phenomenal AppI am extremely grateful to the team behind this app. I use it every day in my teaching as a band director. In sectionals and even in some band rehearsals, I project the tuner onto a screen for students to use as a reference. The metronome has become more sophisticated over the years and I have found that to be useful for myself as well, and my primary instrument was percussion, so a versatile metronome is important to me. I have not used the analysis portion of the app much at all but know people who do and find it highly useful. I hope this app will continue to be developed for a long time to come. Thanks to Philip Geiger and the team for putting this together!.Version: 1.5.4

Tone of Instruments, add new instruments.Fix the tone of the Organ, because even your app registers a C1 and C0 as a C3 because the sound is so terrible. Also, adjust the range for the trombone and euphonium, and trombone can only go down to an E, while a euphonium with 4 valves can go down to a Bb0. Well at least mine can. As well as my tuba, you don’t have to believe it but I went down to a D0 once. Maybe add a contrabass trombone too, but those can go down to a Ab0. Also maybe add a bass boost feature for the sine wave, without headphones, a C2 and down to an Ab0 can barely be heard, only as a high pitches frequency most of the time. Overall, the app is pretty good..Version: 1.7.2

Different Color for flat notes? This app is awesome and I am only beginning to explore the depths of its many features. I have a request for the developers for future versions. The tuner with the green smiley face in the middle is awesome. I am a brass player and holding the long tones in tune and watching the grin grow larger is wonderful positive feedback! The bull’s-eye depiction graphically is very effective. It would be very helpful when notes are out of tune if there could be different colors for sharp versus flat notes. That would enable me to have the tuner sitting on the stand and just see the color out of the corner of my eye as I focus on reading the music. Right now, all out-of-tune notes are depicted by red rings whether they are sharp or flat. Would it be possible to depict flat notes with the blue color on the lower half of the bull’s-eye, keeping sharp notes with the red color on the upper half of the bull’s-eye? Thanks for considering this input..Version: 2.2.2

Not user friendly, difficult to learn and operateI used this tuner for about a month and got fed up with it when I still couldn’t figure out how to use most of the app’s capabilities. Lots of buttons and functions aren’t labeled well or at all, and there’s often not a clear indication of what exactly it’s doing or what screen you’re looking at. The final straw was when I was having it sustain a drone and it kept moving the tuning up and down by about 4 cents because it was in some sort of just-intonation scale practice mode with no apparent way to shut the function off and drone normally. I’ll take a simple and intuitive tuner, metronome, tone generator, or recorder over this any day..Version: 2.0.8

This is a LOTAs musicians (not all of course) usually don’t understand where our equal temperament tuning system came to be I think it was a touch over kill to included some many different systems. One the other hand, I can use it to teach students how our system came to be and what other cultures systems are and sound like. It’s metronome is as complex as the tuning. Which is good. But it is a lot to learn. While I know if something is in 7, there are numerous ways it can be: 3+ 4. (Money Pink Floyd) True 7/4. 7/8. So fourth. I would NOT suggest you buy this unless you are very well a tuned to music theory. Well beyond a BA-BM In music or an euqal understanding on a master’s level..Version: 1.7.2

Love it!!!I use this app every day at work. But, with every update, there seems to be some bugs. First, the pull down screen for the metronome freezes sometimes to where I can’t swipe down from the tuner part of the app unless I go to a different screen at the bottom and back. Second, would be nice if there were presets that could be made for instruments just like there is tempos. I switch to different instruments all day long depending on the class I’m teaching. Would be nice if there was a way to set instrument presets for quicker access..Version: 2.0.9

Music Teacher’s DreamI teach private lessons and k-8th music Lessons and use this app pretty much every day. I already knew it was my favorite before but after they added the different metronome visualizations it went up a whole other tier. There’s not an app I would recommend more than this. If there was one thing I would look for in this app it would be that it would share the practice data between my iPad and iPhone. I use them interchangeably but I can’t ever keep a streak because I switch between the two..Version: 2.1.1

Loses practice streaks with regularityThis app has lots of good features, but one infuriating bug: it doesn’t keep track of practice streaks reliably. On three separate occasions in the past six weeks, I’ve started a session, practiced for four to eight times the requirement (and on the most recent occasion, came back and had a SECOND practice session for longer than the requirement later in the day), closed the app and, when I opened it the next day, found that my “practice streak” count had been reset to 0 days. Since keeping up one’s streak is a key part of motivation, it is intensely demoralizing to have to start again from scratch when you know that you’ve practiced every day for at least 42 days..Version: 1.7.1

Your best music buddyThis is the most awesome application . so useful for practicing giving you so many different options in the way you can’t fine-tune your instrument skills including your voice. The rhythm possibilities are fantastic for practicing different meters or note groupings - even septuplets . I often use the voice tuning to see how my my singing pitch is. It’s fantastic and I highly highly recommend it. And they are also very responsive to comments and questions on their Facebook page, so like them on Facebook to stay in contact with tonal energy.Version: 2.0.1

The best tuning app ever!!We love this app so much. Our entire family uses it. It has so many features. And our kids love the reward images when they are in tune! Who ever would have thought of smiley faces in party hats? And confetti? And they never know what reward will come next! So imaginative and keeps them intrigued. It used to be just smiley faces but now is so much more fun to use! Our cellist uses it to tune and our pianist couldn’t live without the metronome function. And for the grownups- it’s just very useful and intuitive. Thanks TE Tuner!.Version: 2.3.6

Very good app.I use this app almost every single day. The metronome is very great. It has the sound of the Dr. B 90! I have one slight problem though. In the simple metronome, I can’t find the time signature change button. I use voiceover, so if you possibly can, make an update, so that the meter for the time signature button is labeled for voiceover in the simple metronome. The subdivision button is fine. It’s just the time signature button in the simple metronome. Thank you very much, and I really enjoyed this application..Version: 2.3.2

This is amazingI am a young cellist who usually has trouble remembering scales. This is a great app which has it all in one! You can tune instruments, learn scales and so much more. Using this app made me exponentially better and even forgot about the money payed towards this app. This is overall the perfect app for all musicians no matter what instrument you play. I recommend this app to all intermediate musicians passionate about music and passionate about learning more and more scales. This app is a life changer!.Version: 2.3.6

Great! One strange issue though.App is excellent!!!! Only thing is, since about the end of May, the TE Tuner randomly turns on the mic when the app is COMPLETELY CLOSED (It's not even open in the background). A red bar comes up on the top of the screen that says that TE Tuner is using the mic. It shows up for about 3 seconds and then turns off. This has happened at least three or four times in the two weeks week. I've double checked to be sure it's not running in background. I haven't even used the tuner in two weeks! So one star off for that. Other wise great!.Version: 1.5.3

🌟AMAZING APP🌟I have gone through countless tuner apps but this one is by far the best out of all of them. It keeps track of how many days you have practiced in a row and I’m always motivated to beat my record. The tuner is amazing and it comes with a metronome which is extremely helpful. I wish I had this app when I first started playing my instrument. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is looking to improved their tuning on their instrument or voice and is looking for a great tuning app. I love it!.Version: 1.7.2

More of a suggestion than a reviewIs there any possibility to make the metronome function on the watch app vibrate or light up with the pulse of the metronome? I think they would be cool and useful functions if implemented. This is mainly considering the fact that it doesn’t really do anything unless your phone is on with the app open as well. On the other hand, the app is by far my favorite tuner/metronome app available and I do highly recommend it to anyone thinking about getting it!.Version: 1.7.2

Apple Watch CapabilitiesThis app is phenomenal. There is only one big improvement that I would love to see happen on the Apple Watch app. I would love to have the capability to have the watch give haptic feedback when I use the metronome. No app does this well. I tried another app and it provides haptic feedback, but the feedback stops when the watch screen goes off. Again, I love every aspect of this application, but I, and the rest of the Apple Watch community, would LOVE to see this be implemented!.Version: 1.5.4

Indispensable App for Virtual LearningI would like to thank Tonal Energy for making it much easier to teach tuning in a Virtual Classroom! My students have the app on their school iPads. The tuning interface on TE is so intuitive and the smiley face is super rewarding for my young learners. It is extremely accurate even over Web Conference. I also love the drone options for teaching tuning within scale studies! My students love the metronome settings. The beat boxes help students visualize time signature and subdivision..Version: 1.7.2

Tuner “over sensitivity”I acquired this app on the recommendation of a fellow colleague who uses it regularly in her studio. I became frustrated with trying to hold a steady pitch (according to the app). I finally set a pure pitch on my oscilloscope and turned on the app. According to the app, my oscilloscope/pitch-generator could not hold a steady pitch. As a tuner, I find this app to be more of a frustration and a distracting discouragement than a help. A good strobe tuner works so much better that I cannot begin to extol the benefits. As far as the other functions on the app, they are very nice, probably overkill in some areas, but as a tuner, I find this more hindering than helpful..Version: 1.5.3

SplendidThis is an exceptional app with practically everything you could want from a tuner app. It has so many different settings so you can do exactly what you need to get done. It is very satisfying to be in tune when you have this app and it has so many features that they didn’t need to add but they delivered anyways. The one thing I would change is the he instrument sounds, as they aren’t entirely accurate..Version: 2.2.2

Needs a Metronome timer Pause functionI love this app but there is one feature I wish you had: a Pause button or function in the timer. Sometimes I have to pause for a second and I don’t want to have to start over to set the timer again. I just want to pause the timer. I’ve used this in other metronome apps, but it’s not in this one. With every update, I keep hoping this would have been added, but nope. Please add a way to pause the timer..Version: 2.3.2

GlitchI would give it a 5/5 rating BUT for some reason there has been a glitch on both apps I have on my iPhone and iPad. It won’t sustain the not C or C# which I need in order to practice my scales. It first glitched on my iPad but now it’s no longer working on my iPhone. Please fix this glitch because I use this app almost everyday for practice and I would hate to download another app for tuning. This app is very well rounded and I enjoy it a whole lot more than those free apps..Version: 1.7

All you needThis tuner is so easy to use! For three dollars it is totally worth it. It has a metronome which usually cost $10. The tuner is user friendly it is also really accurate. Also you can tune multiple instrument to brass to wood winds to guitars. I love how the background is black it does not hurt your eyes and saves Battery especially iPhone 6 users. I am getting a Apple Watch⌚️📱📲 and I am excited to test the Apple Watch app. Thanks for making a tuner I actually want!.Version: 1.6.1

Great app!I have had this app for 3 years now during middle school band. It’s been all I’ve used for tuning, and metronome which both work great. Also finding notes on a French horn (what I play) is hard and having conformation that I’m playing the right note is very nice. Overall, the price is mote than worth it, doesn’t matter in your brand new or a professional, I would highly recommend this app..Version: 2.3.5

Video IssueThere are times when I’m recording a video and after I’m done recording I stop it, however, it doesn’t automatically stop like it normally does. Once I click it a few more times, the ‘write a name’ box pops up. That video then doesn’t have audio to it. I love the app. It’s just this small thing that makes my recording assignments take longer than expected and makes things inconvenient..Version: 1.5.4

Good app, slow updatesLots of functionality in this app, I love the custom scale which enables me to use original scale of Indian ragas rather than equal division of western notes. Unfortunately the app updates are very slow. It skips the sound on some key presses even though the screen shows the key was tapped which would be pretty bad if you are not using this for vocals. And you can’t quickly makeup for skipped notes because double tap changes the scale key😔 Waiting for a fix or option to not change the key on double tap for many weeks now....Version: 1.7.2

Great but Apple Watch Needs DevelopmentI just got an Apple Watch with cellular capabilities. I have three classrooms throughout my school and my goal is to be able to leave my phone in my office throughout the day. I don’t like that the only function on the Apple Watch, even though it has a great display and many options, is to control the app function for the phone. I’d like to be able to tune instruments with just the watch, play the metronome with haptics, etc. Other than that this is an amazing app..Version: 1.7.2

Could be 5 stars if...Crashing problems seem to be fixed but latest update means I can’t set a drone and play the metronome at the same time without the app changing my drone to a C. The workaround is to set the drone and then instead of using the metronome button on the tone generator page one must click on the metronome tab at the bottom of the screen and start it from there..Version: 2.0.1

Not counting my streaks and timeI was loving this app up until recently when I noticed it wasn’t counting my streaks and practice time. Although I practiced for two 30 minute sessions yesterday it only says I practiced 20 minutes... And yesterday’s practice didn’t count for the streaks? I’ve practiced for a week with the app but for some reason it only says I have a one day streak. Hope this can be fixed..Version: 1.7.2

Pretty good nglBeing in band I need this for practicing, monthly I need the metronome. But when I use the tuner it’s always hard to find my instrument and it says something different than what I’m playing, even when my band director tells me the note is correctly. But otherwise I think the apps pretty good. I would like an update to the tuner using real life band directors who know how to play and can give an actual representation of how things sound and an update to the instruments making it easier to find yours. :-).Version: 1.7.2

A REAL PRACTICE APP!TE Tuner is not just one of the basic tuners which might be adequate for many people’s needs. TE is a "professional" app that can really be used in musical practice, and that’s what it was designed for. It can be used simply, or, it actually has a thorough manual that gives you all of the ways that you can customize it to your needs. It’s way more than just an instrument tuner. It’s got depth, if you want it..Version: 2.2.2

Best teaching app - period.I use this app everyday in my music class. Tuner, metronome - easy. But when it comes to teaching intonation the ability to change tuning from equal to just is awesome. I also teach timbre using the overtone analysis tool. I use the tone generator to play drones while tuning - this list goes on. Thank you for a wonderful app..Version: 1.7.2

Miraculous App for MusiciansIndispensable super useful miracle of technology.Version: 2.3.6

Great tuner/metronomeConvenient, accurate and easy to use. What more could you ask for. I got it a year or so ago and still, I’m just scratching the surface of its capabilities. Head and shoulders above the competition in my estimation. Well worth the few dollars to purchase it..Version: 2.0.2

ExcellentMore than I ever expected from a little app!.Version: 2.0.0

AWESOMEHelped me a lot when I was learning my saxophone!.Version: 1.7.2

Not working on watchLa raison principale pour laquelle j’ai payé pour cette app était la connectivité avec la montra Apple. Ça ne fonctionne pas du tout. Vraiment dommage..Version: 1.7.2

Fantastic app!Very useful, great interface.Version: 1.7.1

Great app!It would be a shame to call this app a tuner because it does so much more. The record and playback really help my practices and I can track when I do practice. The metronome works really well except I haven’t found one yet that keeps pace with me. I find my comfort level has been growing with each of the many features. I primarily use it for Sax ( tenor and Bari ) but it also is a big help with ukulele and guitar when I practice those..Version: 1.7.1

Great app for musiciansBest tuner and metronome app i have ever used. I play alto sax and find i use the metronome now more than i ever did..Version: 1.6.1

Best tuner metronome recorder app I have ever used - highly recommended! Can't say enough good about this app - I am a string player and it puts all the tools you need in one app - bravo! Newest version even better - brilliant!.Version: 1.5.3

Trumpet teacherExcellent tuner, great metronome Fun to use Highly recommended.Version: 1.4.2

Best Tuner (plus) for Tenor Sax playerI switch the option over to the piano keyboard sometimes so I can play (plus monitor that I'm on pitch) my saxophone and monitor which keys on the piano I am actually playing. This helps with the visualization of notes, arpeggios, as well as assisting in the learning process. An Unbelievably wonderful app - I highly recommend it..Version: 1.4.2

Really, really good! This app is perfect for me! I used this app for both my guitar and my keyboard and it lets me very easily tune each of them. My keyboard was in tune, but my guitar wasn't. Now my guitar is also in tune. Thank you to the maker of this tuner app. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has any instrument or various instruments..Version: 1.4.2

👎Can't change the instrument to trumpet.Version: 1.4.2

Excellent productWorth every penny! Functional, accurate, and equipped with everything you'd ever want in a tuner app.Version: 1.4.2

Simply The Best Tuning AppI have tried to use many other tying apps without success. This app is so sensitive that I can keep my hyper-sensitive 12 string Achoustic in tune each day. If I even talk of Humidity this guitar listens and drops my high B E and G strings. The apps superb sensitivity appears to be due to one of its many unique features. It provides a real time % readout of the Tuning Frequency that is required. It is Simply Outstanding..Version: 1.4.2

Totally awesomeThis is an awesome app, and is really helpful. Fully recommend.Version: 1.4.1

Incredible functionalityThis is by far the best digital tuner I've ever seen or heard of. Definitely a must buy for musicians, classical or otherwise..Version: 1.3
