Favorite app everI personally love this app. I have had it for over 4 years, and it’s been an app I use daily. If you are thinking about getting it, for sure get the Premium plan, no ads, endless skipping of songs, shuffle play, and a good amount of more things. One thing I will say is frustrating is the constant change of the like button to songs, they removed the heart for whatever reason and with that they made adding a song to a playlist but not your liked songs a lot harder, with a drop down feature you have to scroll down to find the playlist you want. I will say that I love that you can get to choose if you want your playlists public or not because let's be honest some playlists do not need to see the light of day but can still be enjoyed in peace. I also like what they did with the front page, being able to just swipe right to click onto our profile and access our settings much easier. My most favorite feature that might not be new but I did just discover, is on that same page where we access the settings and our profile there is this “Recents” tab where you can go and see all of the songs you’ve listened to and the amount of times I’ve used it to find a song I liked in someone else's playlist, or a podcast episode I was listening to but didn’t save, my lord I love that feature so much. But overall it’s a really good app and something that if you get it, it will be used in your daily life if you are a fanatic music listener..L.lacxVersion: 8.9.94

Please go backI love the app but not so much the new update. Please give us a retro date. Also the option to go to your liked songs library and not all your playlist with out liked songs as a playlist. To add whenever I like a album the songs do not save, I have to like each song individually for it to save to my library, or “liked songs playlist”. Whenever I click on the artist it only shows me the artist I follow and then artist suggestions based on music I like. Please just go back to when we click on artist it shows us all artist that we have saved in our library. Or simply JUST A RETRO-DATE FROM AROUND LIKE 2016 please. And the hearts next to the liked songs make no sense when we already know that they are liked songs. You can easily click on it by accident and not remember what song you deleted. The queue should show what songs you recently listened to. Not saying it should show every last song you listened to but at leas like the last 20, just a suggestion to make the app better. Lastly theres only alphabetical quick scroll on our liked songs “playlist”, which should just be a music library as stated before. We need alphabetical quick scroll in all playlist, or at least the ones we decide to put in alphabetical order. Also you should add back the “skip song” when adding an album to a playlist with a song from the album already in it. We only have the option of canceling adding the album to the playlist or just hit add anyway. Stop changing the queue!!!!!Stop changing the way the queue works every single time I use this app! I swear Im this close to subscribing to apple music 👌. Just let me keep the option to play my liked songs randomly or not. Also why did I suddenly lose the option to play my liked songs based on genre?! You guys are killing me with the constant changes. Heres what the people want! To be able to play my liked songs randomly or in or order!!! I like the option sometimes! I also still want to be able to sort my liked songs by genre. Why did that suddenly go away!? I used to like the way you could channel what you want based your mood ‘like “happy”’ and whatnot but whatever, I could deal with the changes you made for whatever reason. Where’s the functionality?1) I can’t play JUST a playlist or JUST an album. I press play on a playlist or album and the next song doesn’t play on that album!! Why? ⭐️ MOST NEEDED FEATURE⭐️: 2) I can’t quickly add songs to a playlist. I have to touch the “...” and individually add songs to a playlist rather than being able to select multiple songs to transfer to a playlist. This makes it a pain to create playlists unless you simply add an entire album to a playlist, which is the only way to add multiple songs at one time to a playlist. I noticed that you can do this at the bottom of the playlist after you scroll through your songs, but only for “recommended” music which is great, but it’s random and not mine sometimes. You should be able to scroll through your saved music and click on each song you’d like to add to a specific (or multiple) playlist without having to click “...” first. For example, I hate to compare but Apple Music has a feature where you can click “Playlist”>”Edit”>”Add Music” which then brings you to your library to add music from there OR you can search music to add that you have not yet saved or downloaded. 3) I love the idea of being able to discover new music and whatnot. Thought I’d add at least one good thing to the list. It’s a great app, but until these issues are fixed, I’m keeping it at 3 stars. Edit: 1st issue resolved with their great tech support team! 4 Stars but……This is the #1 Music app I use but there’s too many adds and there’s song that get added to my playlists that I make I think that’s bit of a problem because there’s certain songs I wanna listen too and half of them I don’t even know. for example the Ayesha Erotica playlist I have there’s like 10 other songs that I don’t know, I had like 3 songs that I wanted to play and it would skip those and put other ones. My app also doesn’t work sometimes, I was at school and I was playing music and it just randomly stopped playing… and I have cellular data so it should of worked and not stopped but yeah, And for the podcasts I also think that since there’s no adds for those I don’t think it’s fair for there to be adds for the music and not the podcasts, Like yes I love to not be interrupted while listening to the five nights at Freddy’s podcast but like when I listen to music during class I don’t wanna have to take out my phone every 5 seconds to restart the app so it goes away also I don’t like how on other apps I sometimes can’t play the music like I don’t know if that has anything to do with ya’ll but when I play like Roblox or granny or whatever I can find because I’m tired of watching caseoh… I don’t like how I can’t play music. Was betterUsed to be better, has a lot of difficulties that I’ll talk about. Premium is a pretty good deal but good luck getting it, not only do you have to go to a website but the chances of that website working properly on your phone is unlikely. Your address is needed to purchase premium but whenever I go to put it in there isn’t a place where I can tap on to put it in. You used to be able to minimize ads when you were on the app but now you have to watch the many ads, which also show up every 5 songs. They make ads about their own playlists like they couldn’t just make it pop up on the homepage, and they also repeat ads over and over again until you can recite them word for word. They say they listen to their users but only to the users who write good reviews. When share playing with your computer almost all the time there will be lyrics in the song that don’t even play. Another thing that I find very annoying is the whole 6 skips every HOUR which is not at all worth it because even when skipping you still get ads. Then there’s choosing songs, say you look up a song and try to play it, there will be 5-6 songs that you will have to listen to or skip through to listen to the song you want to, I like the idea of suggesting songs but it should at least play the song I want to listen to first or second. Great but really wants moneyIt’s helpful because it plays while you are not in the app except the only problem with it is that it just needs premium for everything. I agree about the part when you need it to disable advertisements, but I feel that they have went too far with it. Just to play a specific song you want requires premium otherwise you have to wait for it in a shuffled mix and they add extra songs so it takes long to get the song you want. They also limit the amount of skips you get without premium so you only get 6 skips per day which is annoying in my opinion. Another thing is that they now make a limit to lyrics per month. This is something that should definitely be free like it was before. I don’t see why you had to make that need money just for lyrics. These are a lot of things that need money for its access. Now this makes it so there are a lot of perks for getting premium, but the problem is that the free version gets more limited to this app every time they keep changing that ability to do things to premium only. There is probably more things the premium gets you that the free version doesn’t have or should get. Another problem with the app is that random songs that aren’t even in my playlist anywhere just appear and I just can’t listen to music. The even worse part is they are the opposite of my taste in music. Overall it is helpful but I feel like they just begs users to buy premium. Great app but I miss liking songs with one tapAdding to my library takes much longer than before because before I could just press a heart next to the song as it played or swipe right on the title to add it to my liked songs. Now whenever I do either of the two (the plus at the bottom on now playing screen or swiping right on a song title ) it pulls up another menu that shows me my liked songs but also all my other playlists with green checks next to where it is added and I have to manually add it to the liked playlist if not there. It’s just not as seamless as before . I also feel that the plus sign on the now playing screen is misleading because as long as it’s in any playlist, it will appear solid green to indicate that it is saved; but in order to see if I’ve liked it or not I have to press on it, pulling up the list of all my playlists; sometimes just to see that I have already liked it, and having then wasted about 4 seconds of doing things on the app for 0 results. But the reason I had to check in the first place is because the green plus could mean it’s saved anywhere ; but I specifically want this song in my likes so now I have to check where before the solid heart immediately let me know I had liked the song (in one tap) . Other reviewers addressed glitches, I’ve noticed a few here and there but overall I use the app daily and enjoy it very much. Songs are coolThis app has so many cool songs. I love it so much. Everyone should download it in the world even from different countries. I’d love this place right friends especially the demon slayer songs are the best because all the music has good parts at the end that’s why we love it and we love the music vibes and we love it tune of singing because the songs are so good that’s why we love our music app and this app has so much nice. Great aside from recent problems with group sessionsI love this app so much it usually works great and there have been some nice new features recently, one being group sessions where you can listen to synced music in real time with friends. My best friend and I love this feature but recently it's been a little buggy. Sometimes only one of us can control the music, and if the other tries, everything stops and we have to restart the app and start a new session, which is annoying. We've also found that sometimes when we create a session we are hearing completely different songs, or the same song but not in sync. When this feature works it's really fun but these little quirks can be very frustrating and tedious to deal with. Also in regards to the group sessions, it would be nice to be able to send invites to friends within the app so that you don't have to deal with links that can be tricky sometimes. Lastly I've noticed one thing that bothers me a little: when you're adding music to your playlists and you click a song to add, it puts you right back to the recommended songs to add. This is frustrating when I'm trying to add multiple songs from the same album or artist and i have to go and search up the album or artist for every single song I add. Great! Just… unable to use without premium.Look, this app is amazing. It has a LOT of songs, and it’s a place to discover a bunch of new ones; but like all great things, it has its downsides. One, lyrics are locked/never working. 😬 Everytime I try to listen to a song and I press lyrics, at always says to come back later and try again. I thought it was a problem for just a bit, but then others are havi the same experience too. Turns out, lyrics are now only accessible through premium! This is completely outraging, especially having to be able to use lyrics in the past. Everyone around the internet is also upset, I think it was a poor choice as a good company. Two, recent crashes. Since Tuesday, this app has been crashing on everyone.😕 As soon as I open the app, it instantly closes itself. It fixes itself for about 10 minutes, then goes back to not wanting to play music. It is extremely upsetting and annoying for the billions of users trying to listen to music! Three, The ability to put whatever pictures on public playlists. It keeps stoppingA problem I frequently have is that when listening to my music, the songs will randomly stop playing and when I go to hit play again, the app restarts. Sometimes admittedly, it’s just because my app needs updated, but it will also do that completely randomly at times. What is with that? I’ll continue playing my music again, and not only will the song restart, but it also cuts off again but even earlier than it did before. It’s honestly extremely annoying and very difficult to deal with when I’m working either at home or at my job. Nine times out of ten, I’d have to close the app completely, and wait thirty to ninety minutes before my music will play uninterrupted again. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially since all I want is to play some music. Another thing is six skips per hour? Really? That’s so incredibly annoying, and it makes it worse when I’m wasting all my skips on the stupid suggested tracks you give me. I don’t want to listen to that!? If you absolutely HAVE to put something in, play more of the same artist at least. It’s so annoying to only have six skips and waste them all on music that I never wanted to hear in the first place. The worst part is, even if I go to a different playlist and come back, it continues playing the suggested track. I don’t want it! I get frustrated. A lot.This app is great. It has a lot of great songs, and lyrics are available. But, again, I really don’t like this app. Ads, are one thing, but having two minutes worth of ads after only two songs? That’s ridiculous. There is also one ad that really annoys me; its the juvedurm ad. Its one minute long talking about lip fillers. I cannot tell you how many times I have down thumbed this ad, but I still hear it. Take it off. It’s so annoying to listen to! Also, get new ads. This app plays the same ads over and over again. If I was actually interested, I would tap on the learn more button. Mobile users, I don’t recommend using this app. Your playlists are on shuffle: which means you can’t listen to your music in order. Also, mobile users, this app only gives you six skips a hour. Next thing, mobile users, I again do not advise to this app. On your playlists, they have shuffle, six skips, and recommended songs. If I liked those songs, I would put them on my playlist! So close to amazing..Now don’t get me wrong I love this app and I’ve used this app literally every day for at least the past year, that just how good I think this app is, just a few things I have in mind that would make it bloody amazing. Number one and the one I personally want the most, an alarm, now I can’t speak for everyone but when I wake up I can’t stand the normal IPhone alarms, it’s like waking up with a heart attack, I swear, my gravestone is going to say “Heart attack from waking up” and I don’t own any Apple Music songs so I can’t put them on my alarm and I would just love an alarm on this app it would really help, and I’m probably not the only one that thinks this, probably. Number two, things sometimes feel so... cluttered and hard to navigate around the app. Number three, now this one is one probably no one else really has a huge problem with, but I want to be able to listen to music on my iPhone and say my friends phone who is on the same account at the same time so one of us doesn’t have to turn our cellular data and WiFi off so we don’t interrupt the other’s music, just a want of mine, definitely not a need. Number four, this one isn’t really a big one for me but is for others who pay attention to the latest news, it kinda only tells one side of the story and that the stuff they push like the ones you’ll find that say, “what to listen to next” or something along those lines and it’ll be just popping up when you’ve never listened to stuff that regulates with what it’s telling you to listen too. Calm down with the long commercials.I could be wrong, but isn’t it better to hit people with quick, to the point, shots of why we should get the product? The 30 second commercials seem too long; forget about 2 min of hearing about each product. And do ya have to keep repeating the same thing 3 different ways? And that’s if there’s creativity involved; if not it’s just repeat the same words back to back to back to back. So you’re saying we haven’t got any smarter since Biblical times? Back then, making the point repetitively was the best way to get info to stick in our thick skulls. Here’s the truth -that you can only change by distracting me with annoyance at 90 seconds of redundant raving- I will “click here” if I’m truly interested! I love this but in the latest update…I’ve used this app for the longest and I do love it. Never had any complaints. None. Until now. Hence the reason I took down one star. It might not be a big deal to some, but to me, I used to to this every single day at least. Idk if someone can relate. In the latest update, you are listening to one playlist and when you click the green button to play and it does, but it’s just the continuation of the song you’re listening to. Meaning that, the songs that you’ve already heard say the day before, you won’t listen to them on that day because it doesn’t start from the beginning of the playlist. To do that, you have to go ahead and play another playlist, and then come back to play the desired one again to get it to start all over again. BUT you also have to make sure that you pressed the “shuffled” button bc if not, you’ll hear the songs in the order that they are and have to go back and click it. Whereas before, all you had to do was click on the green round button and it would automatically start from the beginning shuffled and all bc I always had the shuffle button on. In this update, it seems to “turn off” in idk what pattern. Maybe each day? Idk. I have diff. playlists, but most of the time I use the same one and so it’s very much annoying since it’s become more time consuming when all I really want to do is get my music going quickly and do what I gotta do. I’m not sure why they did it like this bc it also had a button to just resume your playlist as well, where you left off. Issues with playing musicBefore I start, I wanted to say that I would've rated this app a 4-Star but I just have some issues. First I wanted to state that I have a big issue with making playlists. I hate how I have to literally search up songs to add into my playlist, like why can't I just go into my "Liked" music and add any of those songs into playlists so that it makes my life easier? Because I can't do that, I literally just go onto my liked songs and listen through there but its annoying cause I listen to many genres and sometimes I just sit and skip through songs just to find the right one. It's annoying and I just wish you guys made it easier. I also wanted to bring up that recently, I literally can hardly play my music because it always just stops and cuts off. At first, I thought it was an issue with my car's bluetooth so I just connected my wire to play music through ApplePlay but that didn't stop the issue either. When I tried playing music with my earphones on, it kept doing the same thing. I would literally have to restart the entire app just for it to work but then it would just randomly cut off again. Because of this also, I only rate 3 stars. Please fix all of this, or I will be forced to just switch to Apple Music because I'm honestly just getting tired of all this nonsense. Not bad music source but could be betterOkay, i have been using this app for a while and have experienced lots of weird things. First i want to talk about the shuffle thing. you can shuffle songs so that it picks random songs in any playlist, but thats where my huge problem is. you cant pick specific songs you just have to listen to the playlist until it plays that song. and if you have shuffle mode on for a little bit then you cant turn it off.. so, shuffle mode has a lot of disadvantages. I cant get rid of shuffle mode so I saw another glitch. Lets say that i decided to make my own playlist, I make it and other songs are added just because of shuffle mode, but you can add songs to get rid of them. Okay, then my playlist “ends” and then RANDOM songs play.. I have to play a different playlist now. and sometimes if i return to the one that i was playing the song is still there, and if i skip it more random songs will start playing, then i have to wait a whole HOUR to get more skips. I feel like non premium users should have more freedom of doing what they want. oh, and with shuffle mode on, you cant pick a song or make it into a loop. and like i said, after a little bit you cant turn shuffle mode off. My app is having issuesI’ve used this app A LOT. I remember a feature about a year ago where it showed you the lyrics on all of the songs, but it caused my app to crash every time I played a song. It would play the song halfway through and then crash and I would go back into the app and it had restarted the song. It would do this in a cycle until I skipped the song because I couldn’t handle hearing the first half of the song on repeat anymore. Occasionally it would work for one or two songs but that only happened rarely. Basically I could only hear half songs because the app kept crashing, and then I would use up all six of my skips and have to turn off the app. And I was SO relieved when after multiple months of suffering through this. Music means more to me now than it has ever, and here’s why im writing this; because I woke up this morning and saw that the lyric feature was back. I was very excited because I was hoping they had brought it back because they fixed the bugs it caused. Sadly the first song I tried to play made the app crash. I want to make you aware that I have a recent iPhone model with plenty of space on it, so it is not my phone causing these issues. Please PLEASE fix this quickly. Beat app but...I personally love this app but the only part I very much do not like about it is that it will not let you skip songs and now for some reason it will not let me start the song over again this is a very nice app but I would like if it improved it says I have to get premium and I am broke right now LOL and I never really see myself getting premium but I think that’s something that they really have to change about this app it’s very much annoying and some songs will have very bad words and then I won’t be able to skip them because I will have my younger brother near me and I will see songs on my Play list and I will try to reading it but it won’t let me and I very much do not like that too and I do not mind all the ads but they are very long and people get annoyed by them and I have nothing to do about it so that something annoying with it too that’s not a big issue but it’s an issue that I very much don’t like about this app but still I definitely would prefer everybody to get this app which is probably needs to be updated but in conclusion I think this is a very nice app but I would definitely keep it has tons of music on here and that’s something that is awesome about it too and you can create playlist and more P.S thanks for reading this..Intense ligmaVersion: 8.5.72

Needs Quality of Life UpdatesI’ve been using this app since I was in 7th grade I’m 23 now and I have to admit after years of ignoring the growing amount of bugs and lack of real “updates” it’s time to address these issues. The lyrics were introduced years ago and still there are songs that have to wait very long for the lyrics or have none at all I find it rediculous that a full scale genius powered lyrics feature has not been introduced at this point when Apple Music has been ahead with this feature for years now. Another issue is with shuffle it has increasingly gotten worse over the years but now it makes listening to your playlist almost unbearable. You will listen to an artist and then 3 more songs from that said artist will pop up back to back to back in the queue. Why is that happening in a playlist with 150+ songs? The other thing that tends to happen often is replaying the same song/songs over and over despite reshuffling or restarting the app. Why am I hearing the same song 3 times before more playlist has played all the way through?? Best music app by far but room for a couple of improvementsI’ll start with some new(er) changes I enjoyed. I like how when i click on my profile in the top left the menu now provides a better looking UI, easier to get to my settings. Another newish thing I loved is when i add a new song to a playlist, it’s a check the playlists instead of only being able to add it to one playlist at a time, definitely a time saver. Now for some new tweaks. I would like to see more customization with the quick swiping right or left on a song. There should be a setting to be able to change what a swipe left or a swipe right means instead of it always being queuing a song or liking it. The other feature I would like added is to be able to change the order on how your playlists display on your public profile. Let’s be honest, there are definitely better playlists that are created than others. I feel like this could be done two different ways. A: give the user full customization of the order, or B: allow the user to pin 3-4 playlists on their public profile sort of how the pin feature works for your playlists in your personal music library. DecentThis app is pretty good, but I wish you could select songs (not have to listen on shuffle every time) and listen offline without paying. It’s really annoying when you want to play a song so you search it up but the result is a playlist including the song and because it’s a playlist, you have to listen on shuffle and you also have limited skips so you can’t skip to the song you want. You have to pay for unlimited skips and to select songs. If you do want to select a song that you’ve been listening to, the “Daily Mix” playlists allow you to do that but there’s no guarantee that the song you want is in one of those playlists. It would also be great if you didn’t have to add like 10 songs to a playlist for the app to jot add random song to your playlist. It has to add more song to the playlist to be able to play in shuffle, but if it just DIDNT MAKE YOU LISTEN ON SHUFFLE FOR EVERYTHING, then bam, no random songs in your playlists. But another tip for being able to select songs, listen on a computer. You can select your songs easily and when you search up a song you can select it. Good but notI really like this app, but I’m not able to pay for premium so I have to use the normal version and I have a few complaints about the unpaid version. Before I start, I just want to say, no, I don’t expect it to be as good as premium. I just don’t expect it to be this bad. If I search for a song and press on it, I won’t be able to listen to that song, only other songs similar to it. I am also not able to go on a playlist of mine and choose which song I listen to. Needs improvement, overall goodOkay, so this is a great app if you’re a normal person that only has around fifteen or so playlists. But I’m not normal and i like to make loads if playlists and then i need to delete them. I think a really good feature you could add to this app is a delete button on the playlists tab. It would help with being able to select a mass number of playlists to easily delete. It would also be good to have a similar feature with adding songs. If there were a button that allowed you to add the same song to multiple playlists at once, instead of having to go through each playlist and add the song individually. Also, it would be good if in a playlist you could organize where each song goes like if you want to organize it alphabetically or something on mobile. Kinda goodWell, this app is really fun between the 14 days you get free premium. Premium is perfect for all the music lovers!This app is awesome with the premium! You can make your own playlists of all the music you love, shuffle, repeat albums or one certain song and the absence of adds is awesome! You can pick and chose which songs you want to listen to and... it’s just awesome! There’s so much about it that I love! The only bummer I’ve found with it, is that some of my most favorite soundtracks or songs aren’t available as in they don’t show up when you search them (yes there is a search, so awesome!). I’m not sure why, but the Final Fantasy XV soundtrack isn’t on there, and FFXV Kingsglaive isn’t there either. It could be for reasons I just don’t know about, but I’m really bummed about that. I would love to see it added in if it’s possible. One other bummer is that they might have the soundtrack for the first season of a TV series, but they don’t have any of the others or all of them (with Star Wars Rebels or Voltron Legendary Defenders). Free experience, I like it but…After using the app for a month I was impressed that I was able to pick the songs that I wanted to listen to as well as the albums and podcasts. However, since I haven’t purchased anything to lose a majority of functions such as picking individual songs that I would love to start listening to instead being treated to something entirely different from the song I picked is frustrating, cause what is the point of liking songs if I am unable to listen to those songs, because I haven’t gotten premium. GlitchI like this app and I actually like that it suggests other songs to listen to because I like finding new music that fits into my category. I’m even okay with the only six skips an hour thing because I’m not picky and I have multiple playlists I can listen to. Okay but Very InfuriatingThis is a very good app for organizing and finding music without wasting too much battery. I use it every day and it does its job okay. My problem with this app is its ads. Yes, I know that you can get rid of ads by purchasing premium, but for those who don’t want premium their ad experience should be improved. I’ve been listening to the same ads on repeat for weeks. It gets tedious when I have the same nonsense spouted at me for hours worth of time. Another issue I have is the dislike ad feature. Music Playlist Feature RequestI’ve been using this app since 2011, I love it. Arguably one of the best features is the recommended plays post listening to a playlist. Great way to discover new music. Problem is, if you hit a point where the music suggested is great, you have to wait for each song to play and actively add each to a playlist to save the songs for listening. If you don’t there’s a chance you’ll lose the song and never loop it into your profile. If you’re doing anything while listening like driving, working, cooking, you have to pause what you’re doing to add the songs in (there’s an add in there for product rollout - hire me for the full PM). If the app notified you when playlists transitioned into recommended songs, and gave you the option to create a playlist of the future suggested songs for a certain amount of time, say 30 min, 2 hours, remainder of work day, etc., with option to stop before if music turns, it would make expanding a music profile way easier and automate the process of making playlists without disturbing whatever you’re in the middle of doing. After premium trial there is too much restriction…I got this app thinking it was going to be fun to finally get an free app to listen to music on, but I was obviously wrong. With premium trial everything is great and I loved it, but I don’t have money for premium and once the trial ended I was met with constant shuffle mode on all of my playlists except favorited songs, in my likes or favorite songs it plays random songs and I can’t listen to the songs I choose even with me meeting the 15 songs so there are only the song I want to listen too, adds after every song, only 6 song skips per hour, not being able to select the songs you want to listen to, your not even able to restart a song after the 6 song skips are done, and many more restrictions. Now I understand that with the free option there are adds, and other restrictions as with all apps when you use the free versions, also the random songs are just song suggestions, but I don’t understand why I can’t just listen to a specific song or start with a specific song I want in the moment. They are basically making it to where people either get so frustrated they get premium, or uninstall all together. Used to be flawlessThis app used to be flawless but they keep adding new features that are just frustrating to interact with, especially in situations where you might not have a strong Wi-Fi connection at the time. Most notably, smart shuffle has completely changed the binary operation of shuffle/unshuffle. What they need to do is decouple this functionality from the existing shuffle and make it a toggleable feature. The problems with smart shuffle are numerous, but I’ll just name the main ones I can think of Smart shuffle being enabled then disabled by cycling through the shuffle button’s operations interrupts your currently selected play schedule. For example. If I search my liked songs for an album and I want to just play the album in order, I can’t just simply tap on the song I want to start from and have the album loop unless the last thing I was listening to was unshuffled as well. If the last thing you listened to was shuffled, it remembers that option. So then I have to go and unshuffle (which turns on smart shuffle) and then turn off smart shuffle. If you are on cellular data, this process takes like 10-30 seconds. This process seems to break the existing play schedule that I had queued up, and I am then forced to go and search again for what I want to listen to and then tap the song I want to start from. The fact that this feature is not optional, yet adds frustrating workarounds and limitations just to retain pre-existing functionality is a disgrace to standard app design practices..SyndaarVersion: 8.9.58

Here’s Why You Should Use YT Music Instead of This Scam PlatformThis app used to be top of the world but I am constantly met with new growing issues for the free listening experience. First off: THIS IS NOT A FREE APP. It’s ok still to use this on desktop, but the mobile version does not let you listen to what you want. For music, I made myself lists obviously, but what’s the point if I can’t even listen to it? Shuffle is locked behind premium, choice is locked behind premium, and you’re entire playlist after song one is locked behind premium. I went to delete my card information from the app and noticed it wasn’t my card information. Thought it was weird but moved on. My service wasn’t canceled and it seems like I was paying for someone else’s service. I might of had two accounts but I only had 2 emails at that time and I tried them both. Both of them hard no card information to be charged yet they charged me for months. I was a kid living pay check to pay check. The 10 dollars wasn’t the issue but the fee I got hit with because of an overdraft was. It hurt and it helped break me. I reached out and they accused me of trying to steal from them. Their service malfunctioned and held me hostage till I canceled the card. I hate you for this but my wife feels connected to the app and it’s cheaper to bundle your corrupt service. Now I’m annoyed because it’s 2024 and this app doesn’t let you delete multiple songs from a playlist on your phone. WHAT WHAT WHAT but you can do it from the desktop. Yay. Awful. For artists and users alike.Not only does it take a MASSIVE cut from artists work (way more than is necessary for profit, and kills newer artists.) it shows users triggering content completely unrelated to anything viewed. For instance, I have never used podcasts or viewed them. It just doesn’t interest me. Additionally, I never view anything political. I just listen to music, and none of it is explicitly political either. But I continually get “recommended for you” triggering political podcasts that I’ve never even heard of, let alone wanted to view. I have PTSD, and many of the things I’m being shown are triggering it, wasting my entire day trying to recover. I have tried using the feature that says I’m not interested in seeing that content, but it continually shows up for me anyway. I can’t even open the app nowadays to listen to music, which was supposed to calm me down. Have gotten no responses from customer service for help on what I initially thought was a bug, but I think they just don’t care. Along with raising the prices on premium, which is necessary to listen to music while not connected to steady internet, this app is a complete waste of time. If you are like me and have disability regarding triggering topics (which I will not list here as they are difficult to even allude to without possibly having this review hidden even more due to “sexual content”) than find a different way to listen to music on the go. Unnecessary Updates Lowered Quality of LifeBig changes were made to how the shuffle system works in the app. This would be fine if they had left the option of still maintaining the original shuffle system, but instead, now whenever I’d like to shuffle my massive playlists for a new set of songs, not only does it not shuffle the current song that went on first, I also can’t hit go and hit a single button to do the shuffle for me. Instead, I have to turn off the shuffle mode, turn it back on, specify that I don’t want their unnecessary “smart” shuffle mode that plays music outside of my playlist (just why?), and then check what new batch of songs it chose to grant me while still not changing the first song it decided to hit me with. OR I can hit play on my playlist with shuffle on, exit that playlist, hit play on ANOTHER playlist, and then go back to the first to hit play again. It makes no sense why they’d remove this feature. At all. It’s super inconvenient. Especially since if you wanted to play through an album or playlist without shuffle (just to listen from front to back as the artist intended) all you had to do was tap off the shuffle button and press the top song in the list. An easy two-step process that takes less than a second or two. But for shuffling playlists and playing roulette with your music when you’re still trying to figure out your vibe takes upwards of three to six seconds every single time. There was no need for this. Please fix what once was a good appThis app is constantly laggy and buggy to an obnoxious degree. For example, if I have the app open and then I connect my Bluetooth headphones, it freezes for a good 5-10 seconds before I can actually do anything. If I have the app open for a while and then I stop listening to music and then go back in, it shuts off the equalizer. But it doesn’t physically turn it off, it just completely bypasses the setting and gives me a flat sounding stream until I go in and turn the EQ off and then back on. Speaking of settings, they moved its location after years and years of it being in the “your library” tab. Now it is on the “home” tab. A small complaint, but when you’ve spent a long time going to one location for something and they move it, it becomes a nuisance and seems like it’s just a UI designer trying to justify his paycheck over there. And speaking of moving things, they completely removed albums from the bottom of an album page. When you go to an album or even a single, the artists other releases used to show up beneath the current selected album. Now, you have to go to the artists page, and then likely click to see their discography just to get to what you want. They’ve taken a streamlined UI that was so simple to use and complicated it to a mess of multiple pages, making even a simple task a process. Increasingly poor ui/uxThe user interface keeps getting worse, since several updates ago they removed the three dots from the new episodes so that to add an episode to the queue, one has to do extra tap into each episode before being able to find the three dots. and then once it's in the queue you make us hunt for the queue list by going to whatever is currently playing to find the queue icon. and then they removed many of the action options in the queue list, such as selecting, or adding the currently playing item to the end of the queue. Instead they added a stupid green queue icon that doesn't actually do anything except signal that it's in your queue like who asked for this and why is it necessary? we already know it's a queued item - WE ARE LOOKING AT THE QUEUE. It was perfectly fine when you separated the queue from the rest of an album/podcast/playlist with just a dividing space. And then to make matters worse you think after listening to the queue that we might want to go back to the very first episode of a podcast? It used to make sense and now I don't even know why I pay for premium anymore when you're just antagonizing listeners. We want to easily add songs and episodes to queues and playlists so we can move and just focus on experiencing said songs and episodes. Plethora of useless features ruins appEnhanced shuffle is the single dumbest feature on any app I have ever used in my entire life. I have repeatedly toggled the shuffle and seemingly followed all available instructions to turn it off yet it continues to persist. It is unbelievably annoying on long car rides when you are trying to fix it while simultaneously not trying to cause a 20 cat pile up on the highway. Why is this even a feature in the first place? I created this playlist so I can only listen to the songs ON THE PLAYLIST. IF I WANTED GO DISCOVER NEW SONGS THEN I WOULDNT BE LISTENING TO SONGS ON MY PLAYLIST. Be prepared for repetition and commercials unless you payI’m on the free plan. In exchange I listen to 3 or so commercials per song. And let me tell you they are the same commercials. As far as the music it will home in on a handful of artists that at one time you enjoyed but are now sick of because, you guessed it, playing the same songs from the same artists. The real joy comes from the app playing a genre of music polar opposite to what I enjoy and are listening to as a “suggested track”. Try to skip the suggested track and you are rewarded with another or a set of 3 to 4 commercials. I just want to listen to music. At times it takes several minutes to get through the commercials and suggested tracks to the place where I can start listening to music. I wouldn’t mind commercials to play for my listening pleasure but when commercials are prioritized over music that’s when I’m out. Don’t try to make my experience unpleasant to get me to buy premium.
