Great musicI love this app so much, it gives you such great music and a hole bunch of great artists, it gives you like a couple day free triel which is fine I enjoy that a lot. The one thing though is that sometimes it can give you a like 1 minute long add and you can’t skip, sometimes it doesn’t bother me but that’s the one thing that gets me, this app also has a lot of my favorite artists like Sabrina carpenter, Juice Wrld, etc. for all those 1 star reviews, I don’t think your telling the truth because I’ve tried a lot of the reviews and what the people are saying and it is not true al least not for me, so if your gonna write a review about a app that is this good maybe try a different app before leaving the reviews because I really like this app and so do other millions of 5 star 4 star reviews, so don’t try to ruin this app by those hate comments or bad reviews. I get it you might of had a bad experience but maybe try again. You only fail when you stop trying, so try this app again and maybe your experience will be better. App displaying wrong songThis is probably one of the best music apps that I have used because it is so easy to use and the music catalog is truly unmatched. However, there is a couple things that need to be addressed before this is the PERFECT app. One being that if you are playing music for an extended period of time, the app has a tendency of not letting you be able to skip to the next song (even if you are a premium user) and the only way to get it back to normal is to exit and close the app entirely and then open it again. Sometimes it works the first time and other times you have to repeat that process which is pretty annoying. Another annoying thing is that when you go to listen to a playlist for a few minutes to a few hours, sometimes the songs you want to play won’t play at all, instead it will play the very FIRST song that you have added to that playlist. Even if you get the song you want to play to actually start playing, the artist and song that you have as the first song in your playlist with now be the name of the song that you’re playing (even though it’s clearly not the one you wanted to listen to!) Either that or the picture/album cover will be messed around in that same aspect. Kind of a long read, I know, but these are a few of the visual and auditorial issues you may come across while using this app and I truly wish that these would get addressed. Continuous GlitchesThe app is having multiple glitches and no matter how many times the glitches are reported NOTHING is being done to fix it. How do you increase the price of service and simultaneously degrade the quality of the product and customer service? The app does not close out the playlist being listed to. As a result, the algorithms gets scrambled and it no longer plays music according to the station created or music genre selected. It will start playing meditation music mixed in with reggae and so forth. When it’s not glitching out in that way, it’s repeating the same song (while not programmed to repeat) or it doesn’t generate a playlist at all and only has 1 song on a playlist. I have updated my phone several times delete and reinstall the app and have gone through every trouble shooting step possible to no avail. NOTHING gets fixed when you report a problem to customer service anymore or report a problem. THIS USED TO BE MY FAVORITE MUSIC APP. NOW ITS ON ITS WAY TO THE TRASH BIN AND IM LOOKING INTO WHICH COMPANY I’D LIKE TO SWITCH TO AND END MY SUBSCRIPTION. Musi. Lost playlistThe app is fine, amazing even, but I only got this app because I used to have the app called Musi. Interestingly I still had access to the app even though it was deleted off the AppStore although I had forgotten about that and decided to offload the app since it wasn’t working due to internet connection and thought that would fix it since I’m impatient. I wouldn’t be as bothered if it wasn’t that there is 1 playlist on that app I truly care about and it’s a playlist called “fav songs” it’s had over 2000+ songs in that playlist over the years. All I want is to have that playlist back or just a few screenshots of the all the songs in that playlist so I can add them here. I honestly don’t expect that yall even have the ability to do that since yall don’t exactly own the app it would just be nice to recover my playlist again. On the other hand, I do love the app as it’s a similar format I’m used to. I’m just grieving over my old playlist since it was only a few days ago lol. Consistently InconsistentAs a delivery driver, it’s nice to have some music while working. Also as a delivery driver, I’m constantly getting in and out of my car for pickups and deliveries and also have to plug in and unplug my phone from my Apple CarPlay every time. And every single time I unplug then plug in my phone, this app shuts down and doesn’t keep my queue in music playlists. Sometimes I will be unplugged for a minute or two and even then, it restarts the app and I’ll have to restart my playlists again over and over. 90% of the time it does this, the other 10% is when it miraculously stays open without refreshing. I like the app because it’s good to have it with the benefit of my premium subscription. I hope I’m not the only one who experiences this. Great app with a good amount of bugs that mess up the greatness of the app.Another song now unavailable to play only on my playlist, like I can search it up and it’s there and fine to listen to but my playlist refuses to see it as a valid song. On top of that videos are being converted to the original audio which could be good if I wanted it done but when I’m listening to two songs mashed up I don’t want the mash up to be converted into the regular song that’s first in the mash up. We get it you can tell where the songs originated from but I wanna hear my mash up. Only other thing I have to complain about is the song I’m listening to not showing up on the playing now screen, it’s usually the whole playlist switching songs despite one being playing(all visuals but still annoying) that or the song I’m trying to play isn’t the one being played when I click on that song in my playlist. You can listen to music with thisYes it is true, you can use this app to listen to music, shocking. However if you move your phone while in the app, cause you have to be in app to hear the music unless you pay, the music tends to minimize and you can accidentally tap on and start playing a different song. Also the quick picks feature is neat, though it will recommend some music that I haven’t listened to in 5 months and at that I barely listened to at all, I was listening the the cure, tilted my phone and accidentally started playing lemon demon, and there isn’t a way that I know of to hop back into what you were listening to, idk make the back button for songs at the start of a queue be able to take you back to your last queue, problem solved. Also allow the option to turn off tilt controls, I cannot think of a place or time when I would be glad that they are there, cause I could just drag my finger down the screen. 1 thingI’ve been a longtime user and the best thing about YT Music is that you can access/play songs that aren’t available on any of the other platforms through videos from YT. They can be added to playlists just like any other track. That’s really the only advantage they have over the comp. I’ve tried a lot of the other popular streaming services but always come back to YT Music after finding that a decent amount of the music I listen to is unavailable. For me, that’s a big deal. 4 star worthy. The rest of the app & experience - meh. The recommendations/music discovery are average but on par with the other services. The “Start Radio” is hit or miss but rarely continues the musical theme that initiated the process. It’ll also use songs already in my library or playlist. But every now and then, the YT gods will bless me with a gem. I really wish they would allow search strictly within a playlist and enable some sort of light mode. Quality of life here is utter garbageIt’s a functional app. That’s the best I can say. Music is stored on here and you can listen to it. The library is about the standard with the bonus of being able to save videos for the tracks you can’t find. But the good stuff ends there. Opening the app brings you to a home with your playlists. Psyche. It takes you a page featuring “listen again” and auto-generated playlists. You have to click to go to your library, then select playlists or albums from there. It’s not the end of the world but it gets tedious. Speaking of albums, it only registers you as having the album if you save the ENTIRE album. If you just have one song it won’t show up. The biggest offender is how playlists work. In them you can search for tracks to add or take auto-generated suggestions. However you CANNOT simply go through your library and check every song you want to add. You have to add every single song manually. This app is below averageUsing this app since it’s replacing google play. I don’t like that it takes forever to connect to my Bluetooth it seems to always have a lag and the music buffers in the beginning too. I never experienced this with google play. Maybe the music videos are still loading in the background even though it’s on “music only” mode. I also really dislike that my music never picks up where it left off when I’m done. I have to manually go and search for my song every time I restart my car or anytime I come back to the app really. I’ve tried not closing the app on my home screen but it didn’t make a difference. Sometimes my playlists can get long and searching for a song toward the middle is annoying. I do like that I can find any song that’s on YT on here though, sometimes google play would not offer songs YT music has offered. Neat app, but a few improvements could be useful.I give this four stars because it’s an amazing app, and I’ve been using it on my Lenovo / Google Home smart clock to fall asleep. As well as I like it, there are a few things that I would like to be added. For one, when I ask it to play a certain person or music company that I like, for example Waterflame, or Danimal Cannon, I want it to just play those songs. I’m tired of skipping songs to the point where I can’t even skip anything without a membership. Second of all, stop flooding your ads with membership advertisements! Good to avoid YT shorts :DIt’s good in everything except of 2 things: 1) bugs - on iPhone the screen gets stuck in horizontal layout when you accidentally turn you phone sideways; windows (different clickable parts of the interface) get overlayed so you cannot click on something you need. You have to restart the app which is super annoying. 2) browser interface - it’s YT music, I want to see the list of music in my current playlist, not an image/label of the song that is playing right now. If browser is in full screen, you can see the list of songs in the right side. However, I usually use split view I loose a good chunk of the interface functionality (like/dislike and some more) and the list of songs relocates to the bottom of the screen under the songs image, which would be okay but the image part takes the entire screen and you cannot resize it. Randomize Button??I love the app. But they removed the randomize button. Now you have to jump though hoops to randomize your muisc. You have to push the three dots to the side of the playlist then press radom, or press play THEN press the random button there. Randomizing your music the second way garentees that the first will ALWASE be the same. 👎I mean, come on Google. Even Apple Music has the randomizer button. I get thet it streamlines the look but when im on the road i dont want to have to get my pasenger to randomize my muisc. Love this app for sure but…Not a fan of going into my library and seeing a bunch of artists instead of just my playlists. When I subscribe to an artist it pops up on the library, but when I checked the ones listed, I’m not even subscribed to them. It’s like it keeps pages of artists I’ve searched but I don’t want that. When I click on my library I just want to see my playlists, I hate when artist pages get in the mix because then things get hard for me to find. I shouldn’t have to use a filter in order to see JUST my playlists. Another thing that’s been aggravating me is how when I find edited versions of an original song and it doesn’t save in my playlist as the edited version. For example, I love this one song but I hate how long the intro to it is. When I actually found the same song WITHOUT the intro, I tried saving it into my playlist but when I check, it’s literally the song with the long intro included. Love itFirst music service I’ve paid for and I love it. Even the free version with ads is still more complacent than all the other music platforms, not to mention how it includes free access to any music, the ability to play in whatever order, play next, and many more, all you can even do without paying. That’s honestly why I tried it in the first place because it was already so good free but then the premium makes it ten times better. Love the personal mixes, love the radios, and absolutely love the offline mistake. However, my one and only peeve is that sometimes my offline mixtape gets stuck downloading a track and then doesn’t finish at all, currently whenever that happens I just uninstall/reinstall. Missing Google play musicIn all honesty I switched over to this app with a really open mind because I figured it would work about the same as Google play music. But I've been disappointed in certain functions. I mostly listen to my music while I'm driving so the download-only feature is really important. On Google, you could toggle your downloads on and off and then sort by artist if you wanted. I've noticed on this app that if you want to listen to downloads you can either choose one individual album or you can shuffle all of your songs. This is frustrating to me. The other thing I'm not thrilled about is the really bad lag when I skip a song or two. And this is still if I'm only listening to my downloaded music so there is no reason for the app to act like it's buffering or whatever the problem is here?? I really wanted to like this app. I did. Used to love this appI can’t stand this app anymore. I’m half tempted to cancel my subscription and go somewhere else for my music even though all of my music is here. Most of the time I can’t even play through one song without it crashing and force closing itself. Which isn’t a big deal if it does it every now and then but it’s not. I use this app every single day and throughout the day it crashes about 30-40 time for me. And it’s never once then you get a break. When it does crash and you reopen the app to restart your music for you drive in the car and it will crash 4 or 5 time back to back. And naturally it will only do it about halfway through the song. And I have talked to some people that I know personally that use this app for music as well and they are experiencing the same problems. If this were my app I’d be ashamed to have my name on it. Good Google Play music transfer, other things to improveI’m super happy they finally allowed the transfer of our Google Play music playlists, but using this as my main music app is going to need a few improvements if I’m being honest. First, the app can be glitchy when loading info the current song playing, and sometimes I have to close the app fully to get it to work. Secondly, if you are going to have a feature of having lyrics built into the app, please update it to where you know any song made within the last 30-40 years at the minimum will load no matter the genre or artist, no matter how popular or not the song is (in it’s current state it feels like a beta rather than a fully released music app.) I enjoy it overall but am looking forward to improvements moving forward..WITH LOVE...Version: 3.73

To AdminsAs a premium member I have a humble request, I would greatly appreciate if you add a repeat button on the songs which never ends, I am a professional singer and many times during the day I want to listen the same song again and again and again while doing something else with my hands, if there is repeat button then u just press it once and it will repeat by itself unless you press it again, I would love to have that, also the same feature like utube has, where u can do forward or backward a song 10 sec, 20 sec or 40 secs. Good app. One Dealbreaker FlawThis app is pretty cool. It has a ton of music, videos, playlist, etc. I was even impressed at the fact that if you play an album such as Pink Floyd for example there is no to second pause between the songs. Everything flows from one to the next as it should. What drives me absolutely crazy about this app however is that on any artist, playlist, or song that you start with clicking shuffle is not really shuffling in random order.I put on a huge playlist for workouts and click shuffle, however I quickly realized that it shuffles in the same preset orderEvery time. If I click shuffle 20 times today and two days from now click shuffle 20 times again on the same playlist it will be the same exact first song, second song, third song etc. My understanding is that this has been a complaint for years and has not been fixed. For the majority of that time, I used the free-with-ads version, and that’s where my docking a star from this review comes from. This service has too many ads, especially in the last few months. Solid, but could definitely use some detailed improvements.This is definitely a solid music app and the algorithm that is used when creating a radio station and overall recommendations is top tier. With every pro is a con and with that said, I have noticed a few things that I think should be improved upon. Firstly, this app force closes entirely too much for it to sustain a claim of the best music app. I'm not sure what is causing it but there's nothing worse than finally trying to get into a groove and then dead silence because the app shut itself down. It's happened to me no less than 10 times today alone, including after I did the most recent update. Next, I'm not sure how this happens, but playlists with an extensive amount of songs on them (which I have several of) seem to have this error where if you scroll down into the playlist and choose a song to play, it'll play it but the song name and title will be the first song in the playlist, which will then play the 2nd song afterwards instead of the actual next song that is supposed to play after the one you selected. Lastly, this isn't a complete negative but I think the playlist cap should be increased from 5,000. If I had my way, double it. You Tube music & Music videosI use this nearly everyday. I was a teenager in 1970, the greatest era music will ever know, I can find all of that energizing music here, on this app. It is rare when there is a signal problem, it does happen but If I put a number on it and the reason Is usually loss of Wi-Fi and I’m usually in the same location when it happens to me. Occasionally maybe twice a week it may stop and it just takes a touch of my phone to restart it all in all its a non issue, if you receive a call it will stop and as soon as the call is over it picks back up where it stopped. I personally love it can’t stump it(I can find about any song I’ve ever looked for. Concert footage fantastic takes me back to my happy place. Great app but needs improvementI love this app. I have a premium membership I’ve been paying for one for a long time. I love the platform so I don’t mind paying a couple extra bucks a month to use the premium benefits of this app. There are a few issues though. If I run out of premium you guys absolutely flood me with ads way more then you need to which aggravates me a little bit and also ever since this new update the app has been crashing left and right and I’ll be listening to a playlist and you won’t be able to view half the songs in the playlist. Before the update the app was fine but after it kinda got messed up. Missing one thing…Overall very good. Has everything I’ve ever looked for. Has worked flawlessly on every device I’ve used. Even the controls integrate across devices. But… The Library, the albums and songs you add to your collection, cannot be organized. It is simply one long list in newest-first order. You can’t group them by genre, decade, etc. You can’t create folders either. If, like me, you add your very favorites at first, then continue to add as you remember less popular music or discover new music, you end up with a list of hundreds that is a mess. And it’s a LONG scroll to get to the first albums entered which, again, are probably your favorites. It is faster and easier to just search for what you want each time you want to play something than use the Library. That’s annoying. One “tiny” complaintOk, so this app is great if you just wanna listen to music, which I like to do. So I opened the app, and it asked my if I wanted to start my free trial. I said no, because I wanted to save it. Then I exited the app because I didn’t want to use it yet. So that happened yesterday, and when I went on the app today, it said my free trial was ending soon. I checked if I had Premium, and apparently I did. Why did it give me Premium? I didn’t want to use the free trial yet. When I had YT Music on my old iPad, it let me choose when I wanted to use the free trail. And the “Try Premium today” thing doesn’t have a exit button. The only thing you can do is press the button, or exit the app. Apparently both result in YT Premium now, so either it’s a glitch, or on purpose. Good but definitely has some issuesI’ve been using YT music for years, its pretty nice. But… I do have issues where I can remove songs off playlist or even edit them. Like it will let me do it and I’ll save, but it never truly saves. Also weirdly I’ll have it glitch out and close the app half way through a song on my playlist. Then for some reason the app always wants to start the song halfway through the song where it glitched out. So I have to keep setting the playtime to 0 every time I play that song. Don’t know how to fix it, tried looking it up and well I can’t find any way to solve this issue. So I went on the YTmusic website and removed the song that way. I tried adding it back on my playlist to see if it would fix and it didn’t. Another thing that’s weird when I use the website the song doesn’t start half way through but the app still does. Is song available or not?!It’s annoying how a song I had downloaded becomes unavailable, without me knowing, but what I really can’t stand is when a now unavailable song stops my whole shuffle play. When a song is no longer available it’s there, but it’s not there? Like if I have my downloaded music playing on shuffle & a song isn’t available anymore, I guess it’s still in my downloads & when it comes to that song it’ll just stop playing. Half the time I am not near my phone or have it on me, especially when I’m working. Then I have to stop what I’m doing, walk to it, or climb down a hill just to switch songs. Needs improvement.I love this app. I have a couple comments that I hope are heard for the sole purpose of improving this already great music listening experience. I would like to see an option to “save a radio station” based on a song you started a station on. Also - I think the AI needs a major tweak. I’ve always felt like once you start a radio station and - you LOVE it - until this one song comes on that you really don’t like - and you select thumbs down - then every song after is just worse and worse. The logic after a thumbs down should go back to original radio station request track. It shouldn’t start playing weird and different tracks. Get rid of the explicit warningsI know there are songs that I listen to that talk about depression and self destructive behaviors. Im old enough to listen to that. There is a setting that turns on the “filter explicit content” filter, so why do I have to be reminded that the song is “explicit and may contain topics about self harm and suicide and blah blah blah”. Stop interrupting my listening experience. When the warning pops up, it completely stops playing music until you skip the song, or close the warning. And this is a big issue when I’m driving, because i don’t know if I have bad internet, or it’s stuck on one of those songs, which pulls my attention off the road, and puts me in a bad mood. App is good, but far from perfectAt times when you start the app or an individual song in a playlist, it will either A) load an incomplete version of your playlist or B) load the audio from one song and display the cover art and name of another. If a playlist long enough and you choose a song far back enough in said playlist, the app just won’t bother to load the entire playlist into your queue. You can get around this by initially selecting a song further into the playlist and then going back in you queue. Sometimes you’ll see the name and cover art of the song you intended to listen to, but hear the actual audio from a completely different song. Basic features are a failureI truly don't understand how this app is rated so well. It fails in the most basic of ways, making using it a continually frustrating experience. When viewing Library by Artist, instead of showing the Albums by that artist like every music app ever, including Google Play Music, it just lists all the songs by that artist. "YT Music" and "Uploads" are separated when. Looking at your library, so you have to look in two different places to see all the content from a single artist. Loop preference does not persist between queues, so when you start a new album or playlist, if you want it to loop, you have to select that EACH TIME. You can view Downloads just fine if you have service, but if you're in a low service area, the app will just sit at a loading screen forever, blocking access to everything, unless you turn on airplane mode.
