The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Positive Reviews

Has some issues, but still amazing overallI bought this game after amassing 1000 hours in the steam version of it, and I have some things to say. First off, please PLEASE update this to repentance, there are so many creature comforts of that game that are missing from this, stats and certain transformations in particular. The game is fantastic as always, and the fast paced nature of the genre plays well on mobile, but if you’re using touch controls on a modern device, prepare to miss inputs constantly. One of the biggest oversights is restricting the joystick to the play area, so if I accidentally go too far and touch the black bars on the side Isaac just stops dead in his tracks, which if you play the game you know that’s almost never a good thing. The HUD is Terrible, which is understandable, they don’t want to clutter it up since it’s already relatively low screen real estate, but your time is basically always hidden, and the active item being to the bottom right of the movement control is TERRIBLE, I hit it on accident all the time, and it’s inconsistent when I’m actually trying to press it, I don’t know why they would move it out of the top corner, that makes the most sense, and it’s not harder to reach, and it’s more out of the way. I like the portrait mode, it helps a lot with obstructions, but the play area becomes so tiny that it almost defeats the purpose. I still love this game quite a bit, and all my complaining here can be chalked up to nit-picking, none of what I’m saying here makes the game unplayable in any sense, but I’d definitely recommend getting one of those controllers for the phone for the best experience if possible..Version: 1.1

FINALLYI always knew that this game was amazing and I bought a 3ds mainly to play this game. I ended up selling my ds later on and I always thought that this game was perfect on a handheld device because of how easy it is to run and because of its quick paced nature. The port is incredibly easy to use and is the same thing as on the ds or computer (when talking about the menu ui). This game has all of the items from the computer version and I'm hoping they will continue to add the dlc from the computer which I'm sure they will because of how much praise this app is getting. I hadn't even read anything on this app before I bought it. The second I saw it i dropped $15 because I knew that it would be worth it. This is a great game with great devs and I know that they care about the community and will continue to refine this game. Since it just came out the movement is a little hard but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just wish you could adjust where the little joysticks are because I have big fingers and would like them to be a little farther away because on portrait mode it's hard for me. The portrait mode made me really excited because it felt like the ds and was incredibly clean and easy to look at. However because I have an IPhone SE which is basically the size of the 5, my fingers often bump into each other while playing which is a big problem. This game is however I think to be one of the best games the App Store has to offer and it was 100% worth the money..Version: 1.1

Love the game but mobile has 2 problemsI like everything about it, it's an amazing game but it has issues saving my progress(I've lost so much just by simply closing the app and even just leaving the game alone), and while that's the main issue I also hate that while playing the game if out ever pick up a trinket while it's good to have one, it always gets in the way when your trying to move. while it may be a skill issue on my part it's annoying that everytime I hover over the trinket by accident in a boss fight, i end up getting stuck on the trinket as the game thinks I'm trying to drop it and the boss ends up hitting me or even when it's just a normal enemy or champion I get hit because the game thinks I'm going to drop the trinket. This issue is so annoying cause I have to change my hud scale and even how I play just so I can hold a trinket and while on the same topic, why can I hold to drop a trinket but not the pill/rune/card slot I mean that makes no sense PLEASE please please fix this🙏.Version: 1.4

Old controls were better, would love if they were changed backLove the game, have played countless hours, and when the update came out where I can get the DLC’s I was ecstatic. The only thing I don’t appreciate about the update was the change of the controls. The D-pad in the old version was much better. In this new version the sensitivity cuts out before my finger even slides all the way off the screen. I also preferred the old layout because I could still see the time of day on the screen while playing, which is something I strangely really appreciated. If I had my way, I would request that the controls were reverted, and after the update, the quality seemed to be kind of hazy and the screen felt smaller in a way that I didn’t really like. Maybe if there was an option in settings to revert the screen to the old layout that could be incredible. I haven’t played around enough to know if the update fixed it or not but I also knew of no way to switch the item being held, like if I had Little Baggy, there seemed to be no way to alternate which pill I could select, which made it kind of useless. Not a big deal though, just something I noticed. Thanks for the good work..Version: 1.2

Good game but some minor bugsI LOVE THIS GAME. Seriously, this game is amazing in many ways. Having a lot of replayability and the excitement of unlocking new items and content. And the mobile port greatly conveys the pc port to mobile. However while playing I have noticed some minor bugs. I'm an AB+ player so all of the bugs I cover are in AB+. 1st bug is that for some reason whenever you fight the boss “delirium” The boss does a static event when you either defeat him or take a long time. And for some reason on mobile when delirium does this my game crashes sometimes. This can be really annoying at times. The second bug I'd like to report is that once you unlock the achievement “Rerun” and gain the ability to redo your previous run, You can never actually use Rerun on mobile. No matter how much you press it never allows you to rerun. So to summarize this review, The binding of issac is a great game. However it does include some minor bugs so I would consider getting the PC port. But over this is a great game in general. I hope that they can fix these bugs next patch..Version: 1.4

Rebirth!!!I love it! iOS Isaac has finally arrived! It's not everything I wanted but it is still incredibly fun. iOS rebirth is everything you'd expect from the game plus they've added portrait mode and they've tweaked the hud to work with fingers. The game looks amazing and plays very well, without stuttering or any hitches on my iphone 7. The default touch movement controls leave a bit to be desired though, as they are they feel a bit floaty and weird. I find rooms that require lots of dodging and maneuverability to be incredibly harder with the touch controls then if I was playing on a controller. However the game does have controller support which really should be the way this game is played. The game currently comes with 2 touch modes, but I've yet to find the difference between the two.. The controls aren't terrible though, I did happen to get within 3 hits of killing mom on my very first run (so sad) with 0 damage ups and 1 tears up. No doubt, the game is playable without a Bluetooth controller. If you were to play with a controller, I'd says this game would be perfect :)..Version: 1.1

Issac on iOS is great! But the issues….I love the binding of Issac! And since it came out on iPad, and iPhone, I have been playing it alot! It’s tons of fun but, there are so many bugs and issues that make it unfair, activate items and items like D infinite, and cables, used to work on the older versions, but in the new update they are impossible to use, on older versions clicking or holding on the activate items or item used to make it work/change like D infinite and cable, but in the new update it don’t work, and makes some of the active items and items unusable! Also the controls feel unpolished and painful to use due to being buggy sometimes and being too simple, the game crash’s alot and makes progress disappear, and multiple bugs that make it annoying to play, And some characters are still buggy on iPad and iPhone, and sometimes won’t work, I love this game! It’s a good gem! But with the problems I have with it, I would recommend getting the pc/console ports instead of this version..Version: 1.4

Amazing Game but some port flawsI’ve been playing Isaac for a few years, mostly the flash game but I have 100+ hours into Isaac on steam. This port on mobile is great in terms of content to be played. There is definitely 100+ hours worth of content without the DLC(which fingers crossed will come soon!) But, the displays are very weird. There are generally 2 modes you can play on. There is a horizontal mode and an vertical mode(like a gameboy). These displays each have flaws of their own. When playing horizontally, the dimensions of the screen are strange. When I am playing on game boy mode, the joysticks are too close together and hard to control. Not to mention that on newer IPads there is no fullscreen option. This game is a wonderful game for people that like roguelikes, Soul Knight, Gungeon, etc. This game is definitely worth a try if you are looking for a new game to keep you entertained for a long time..Version: 1.1

Don't be dissuaded by the price; it's well worth itBetween the original PC version and this version, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has provided me with more than 300 hours of entertainment. It's a fantastic game with immense depth and variety, and is more than worth the 15 dollar price tag. Honestly, it's almost stealing at that price. For veteran players, this is a great port, offering all the same content as the PC version at a smooth 60 fps. It's not diluted or censored for a mobile audience, and the controls and UI are fantastically adapted to mobile gameplay, with a few control settings to choose from as well as a portrait mode. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone, whether an existing Isaac can looking to take the game with them on the go, or to new players looking for a deep and challenging game that makes mobile gaming with your attention. My only complaint is that the movement is a bit too sensitive, and with a high speed stat, maneuvering through tight areas can be tough..Version: 1.1

New to Binding IsaacI have never played any version of the Isaac games. In fact I have never really played a twin stick shooter like this. I am really terrible at it but the game is a lot of fun and so far appears to be incredibly deep but this game is definitely not going to hold your hand. It works great on my iPad Pro and recent iPhone. The only thing I would say is God bless anyone that can complete this game with the touch screen controls. I can barely get through a few levels with an mfi controller. The touch screen layout is fine but just seems really floaty and you need to be very precise and fast to succeed at this game. If you know the game and just want a phone version to kill some time it might be serviceable but I suspect it would make an already challenging game incredibly hard to succeed at. Anyhow, I really like all the items, challenges and collectibles and how each run is different based on the upgrades you find. Great game..Version: 1.1

Awesome It is What it Promises but Controls ?I like the alot so far it’s exactly like what I have on my PC and I like to have it on mobile. I probably play it a lot more on mobile I will say I wish it had a D pad controls or at least a option to switch to d pad controls instead of the Omni directional controls would be a lot more smoother When It comes to shooting and moving if it had d pad but besides that one personal issue I have with the game I think the game is exactly what it promises a binding of Isaac game just like the one you can get on your PC but for mobile and if anyone’s wondering after reading this, you’ll be able to buy all the DLC content in game once you purchase the game in the app store i love this game i now can play it anywhere i want now i have a iphone 14 pro max i am playing this on i am about to upgrade to the next iphone 15 pro max when it releases.Version: 1.3

An example of what mobile games should beI have never been a fan of rouge like games, but I thought I would give this one a try because I had heard many great things about it. I was hoping for a half decent port for mobile, and I was surprised when I found that it was almost the exact same game that's on PC. I would have gotten this game on my PC, but I figured having the portable version of this game would be better, because whenever I am bored I can just play this game. You might think that fifteen dollars is a lot for an AppStore game, but remember that you are getting the full version of the game, that is also 15 dollars on PC. So yes, this game is definitely worth the fifteen dollars. I recommend you stop looking at reviews now and just buy the game.(also game is even better if you have a controller. If you are looking for a good mobile controller, I recommend Gamevice, I have been using it and it's great).Version: 1.1

Incredibly Deep Action RoguelikeDon’t let the simple art and uncomfortable themes fool you, there is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. There is a reason the original dev is lauded with godlike reverence in the indie community; beneath the surface, the game itself is brilliant. From the seemingly never ending steam of new items, levels and secrets to what is likely some of the best enemy AI in arcade gaming, the game is challenging and the replay value high. This game is exceptional! Update: -2 Stars: The much anticipated Jul’23 update with full DLCs is disappointing. Screen shrunk and image quality reduced due to scaling associated. The most frustrating issue: touch controls are not as sensitive now and go completely dead if finger moves below play screen. Previously, if finger went below, the last direction would be maintained, now Issac just stops. This makes an already difficult game nearly impossible. Almost like it wasn’t even play-tested. This is really frustrating after paying premium prices for the DLC..Version: 1.3

Definitely worth a shotIf you aren't familiar with the Isaac games, its kind of like the legend of Zelda for NES. You run around, collect items to make you more powerful and try to conquer your enemies. Its randomly generated every different room you enter, which gives it a lot of replay value. The game itself asks for the latest version of iOS (iPod 5 and under is a no go) and about 17$ but it is worth it because if you're the type of person to play a game at school, work, or anywhere you just need something to kill the time, this should be your go to. If you are familiar to the game and/or its add-ons, boy, are you in for a treat. The game runs very smoothly on most devices running iOS 10. There really isn't much to complain about the games port to iOS. Other than it missing its expansion, Afterbirth, it is still a fun game and all the expansions and i'm sure all of the add-ons will be here soon. 10/10.Version: 1.1

Amazing game, doesn’t work well on mobile.I’ve been playing this so much. I love it. My favorite game of all time. The only thing is, this mobile port was made so lazy. Some items like spin to win just don’t work with the touch controls. Tainted cain’s bag of crafting doesn’t work with touch controls either. In fact, pretty much nothing works with touch controls. Having a trinket gets in the way of the stick, you can’t swap as forgotten without a trinket/active item, and I’m sure there’s so much more. Not much of a complaint but something kind of funny, the area that shows where to tap to see tainted characters still has an E if you touch. Definitely unfinished. A nice feature would be if you hold down both the sticks, you start to reset. Of course you can’t reset without a controller, but you can’t really fully play the game without one anyways. My biggest complaint is that JACOB AND ESAU HAVE MORE COMPATIBILITY THAN FORGOTTEN. The forgotten is so fun, but so unplayable with touch controls! But no, not Jacob and hitbox. Jacob has a designated toggle button that lets him wander away from esau. Why can’t the forgotten have a button just like it that lets it swap with the soul? If this game had more compatibility, this would most definitely be 5 stars. I was so hyped to play repentance but when things barely worked i was disappointed. $40 definitely not wasted, but could be used for better things..Version: 1.2

Love this gameI’ve been playing for a while now and all I can say is wow! It’s so much fun, I can play for an hour and still not get board. The game has some problems that really need to be fixed though. For example when playing on occasion when you go to shoot, it will instead just move the character, which sends you flying into enemies. But that’s not the biggest problem I’ve had. In the challenges, whenever I beat one the game crashes. It records that I beat it, but not always the reward for doing so. I beat challenge 17 called Waka Waka, and didn’t unlock the scythe tears. Dude what? The game crashed so it says I beat the challenge, but I didn’t unlock them. I beat it again and still nothing, if I’m missing something then my bad, but this has happened with all the challenges that give items..Version: 1.1

The pioneer of rogulikes. The binding of Isaac is a gem. A rough cut gem of beautiful quality, dark themes, and amazing music and art. But when rebirth came out, it took the world by storm, For a good reason. Rebirth took the original game and JUMPED it and stole its wallet. Rebirth spat on the original game and stole its identity. Rebirth stole the original game’s girl. What I’m trying to say is it’s better. It’s so much better than the original. A world with endless possibilities, extended. And with a game MADE to be played a lot, it on mobile seems like a no brainer. But there is still some problems. Pros and cons: Pros .an easily accessible version of the game without the annoying little things that make the game not portable .even more portable than the switch version with no cut corners .rebirth itself is excellent, gameplay is fun, always a new experience. Cons: .difficult to control at Times when having an increase of speed .dlc is the exact same price in the regular version, meaning each dlc is absurdly expensive on mobile and never goes on sale. .even though Buying repentance gives you every single DLC, the price can be lower for sure. A good price would be 25-30 dollars, since the entire game and dlc collection can be purchased for a similar amount on steam or console sales. .it on mobile means its controls are restricted. Items are now on the bottom and no longer its own mechanic on a controller, controller support is limited (as far as I know), and the game can be battery consuming if played for a long time. Overall, as a fan of the game, this is a great way to play it. Playing Isaac on my phone is great, but has some drawbacks. Other than those, the quality stays the same. 10/10 on the game overall, 8/10 for the port..Version: 1.4

Absolutely the bestI'm quite confident that this is the single best game available on the app store at the moment. If you have never played Isaac or heard of it, it is a hard as nails yet addicting rouge-like featuring gorgeous albeit disturbing art and really great music. It also features a ridiculous amount of content that will keep things fresh for hundreds of hours. I also highly recommend picking up BOI plus dlc on the computer and/or console. Its one of the highest rated games on Steam for good reason. If you're already an Isaac maniac you will be pleased to know that the ios version is executed very well. Frame rates are buttery smooth on my iPhone 7 plus and touch controls are surprisingly good, though I do recommend picking up a mfi controller. All in all it's totally worth every penny!.Version: 1.1

Just buy itHonestly can’t say enough I’ve only been playing for a few days going onto a week but I can’t stop playing it’s so good. Every run is unique and different letting you experience a new run every time with each character also changing how you play with tons of secrets to discover. It’s a lot to learn but a ton of fun to learn. Loved it so much I got it for my pc during the current steam sale just a great game with the dlc being a little pricy with the price of 40$ along side the games price is steep but the dlc also adds so much more content that’s it’s basically a new game on its own. Only get the dlc if you love the game and just want more than you’ll get so much more main back your money in game time..Version: 1.4

Using ps4 controller changes the gameI use my iPad for art so I have a paperlike drawling sheet screen cover which makes using the controls just slightly more difficult. Other than that I’m not necessarily a huge fan of the controls however I do like the shooting lock mechanism. However when I connect my Bluetooth controller to my iPad it absolutely changes the game. I know it’s not the full DLC and everything and there’s no greed mode but I work on an island in the middle of the ocean basically half of the month and I can’t bring my laptop or console out there but I can bring my iOS devices which is great because I love playing boi. so if you have a controller this game is totally worth it if you really like to play it.Version: 1.1

Please fix controlsI love this game, and I'm glad I can finally play it on a larger phone model, but I'm pretty annoyed with the terrible controls constantly flying around the screen. Please add more control options like locking them in place, moving them to different areas, or switching them to a D-pad (I recommend looking to Brawlstars as they make the controls very friendly to all players and devices without making things awkward or overwhelming). It's also hard to invest time into the game when I keep hearing about progress deleting bugs, so that is another area that needs improvement ASAP. Otherwise, I'm having a lot of fun with this port, and it gives me hope that things will get better since updates have gotten more regular..Version: 1.4

Need more updates!!I love the binding of Isaac, I’ve played since 2014 and only found out about the mobile version a couple years ago and have had a blast, I’m so glad it got repentance added but got there’s still so much work to do. For starters, you can’t switch between the die in a D-infinity, it’s permanently stuck to the D1, if you had a golden bomb and no bombs, you can’t use the golden bomb as the button isn’t there, and of course repentance plus hasn’t been added yet! On top of more compatibility issues, this just needs more support and love like the PC version got, if a developer wants to contact me, I have a lot of bugs written up that I’ve noted while playing..Version: 1.4

I have all endings but greedier endingIm being serious i have all endings but 19 and i have 54 out of 79 achievements on my account i love this game so much its the bets mobile game ever Isaac and his mother lived alone in a small house on a hill. Isaac kept to himself - drawing pictures and playing with his toys as his mom watched Christian broadcasts on the television. Life was simple and they were both happy. That was, until the day Isaac's mom heard a voice from above. "Your son has become corrupted by sin. He needs to be saved." "I will do my best to save him, my Lord," Isaac's mother replied, rushing into Isaac's room, removing all that was evil from his life. Again, the voice called to her. "Isaac's soul is still corrupt. He needs to be cut off from all that is evil in this world and confess his sins." "I will follow your instructions, Lord. I have faith in Thee," Isaac's mother replied, as she locked Isaac in his room away from the evils of the world. One last time, Isaac's mom heard the voice of God calling to her. "You've done as I've asked, but I still question your devotion to Me. To prove your faith, I will ask one more thing of you." "Yes, Lord. Anything," Isaac's mother begged. "To prove your love and devotion, I require a sacrifice. Your son, Isaac, will be this sacrifice. Go into his room and end his life, as an offering to Me to prove you love Me above all else." "Yes, Lord," she replied, grabbing a butcher's knife from the kitchen. Isaac, watching through a crack in his door, trembled in fear. Scrambling around his room to find a hiding place, he noticed a trapdoor to the basement, hidden under his rug. Without hesitation, he flung open the hatch, just as his mother burst through his door, and threw himself down into the unknown depths below..Version: 1.4

It’s Isaac. It’s great. It plays exactly like Rebirth on any other system. It would have been cool if they released Afterbirth+ on iOS. I’m sure that focus is dead and gone now though, as there hasn’t been any updates of any kind in over half a decade. I’ve played it pretty much everyday since it was released, and I still come across rooms that I’ve never seen every once in awhile. It’s a great game, and it works well with a Bluetooth controller. I use an Xbox controller. If you choose to play with the on screen controls, they work fine for the most part, they’re just not as smooth and you can’t drop anything because they didn’t make enough buttons. Worth the money imo..Version: 1.1

OH YES.I've been wanting this game on the phone FOREVER. I love the game but I never found myself playing on the computer that much because it was more of a time waster to me and very arcade like, which is perfect for the phone. This is a game you can keep on your phone for a long time and always pull it out when you need some quick entertainment. The $15 price tag might seem expensive but it's not at all. It's the normal price of the game because it is the normal game. The devs obviously need to make money too so of course it's gonna cost the same as the computer game😂 it's great though and well worth it's price, the controls are hard at first, but can be easily mastered with a couple of playthroughs. Definitely recommend.Version: 1.1

Worth 15 apps. It’s easily worth the price. I wish I could track how long I’ve played this game here. I’m going on 200 rounds at probably an average of 10 minutes a run (between 3 and 20 per round). So let’s say it’s been 35 hours of hands on (none of that idle game play) game play. I’m still enjoying it and look forward to playing it every chance I get. BUY IT. Don’t get scared by the price, I know you’ve wasted more money than that on worse apps, I certainly have. This is a game I’ll be playing for awhile and then coming back to often. I have only ever used touch controls and they are getting easier the more I get used to them. Runs smooth, easy to put down and pick up, addicting..Version: 1.1

Best mobile game money can buyI’ve been playing this game for maybe 6 years now and recently bought it on mobile. Infinite replayability, 34 different characters, rewarding unlocks, and stupidly addictive gameplay that’ll have you coming back. Being able to play it wherever is nice, but the fact that it’s easy on my phone battery is essential — games that eat your battery life are often total dealbreakers for me, so being able to play for hours without needing a recharge is a nice bonus. Please, for the love of god, bring a controller with you before diving into the basement, and get ready to waste 1000 hours trying to unlock dead god. Good Video Game..Version: 1.4

Best Port of Isaac YetOut of every platform I own Isaac on (PC, Wii U, 3DS, and iOS), I can honestly say that this port is second only to the PC. It's smooth, responsive, doesn't seem to crash as much as the other ports, and includes all the content that an Isaac port should. Seriously well-made port for mobile. Only flaw is the dual-stick control scheme using touch controls is incredibly hard to use. However, an iOS game controller can easily fix this problem. A controller is what, ~$30? I plan on buying one just for some platform games and this one. Very well worth the seemingly ridiculous price because besides the annoyingly difficult controls, there's no difference between this port and PC's Rebirth. Excellent job!.Version: 1.1

Finally a real game for a real price!!!!This is a full, complete, non-diluted, incredible and classic game that I believe everyone should experience. It is the pinnacle of twin stick shooters and a true standout of the genre. Yes, it costs money. Oh no, a PC game brought in its entirety to your pocket costs the price of said game? I don't understand why some people insist mobile gaming must be dumbed down and spoon fed to the masses like baby formula with the little airplane noises. Just pay the price of entry into this monument to hardcore gaming. I can't say any more than has already been said of this game. Plenty of reviews exist of it. It's great. The controls work fabulously. It can be played in landscape or portrait mode. What more do you want?.Version: 1.1

Fantastic game, but has a number of iOS-specific bugs that have persisted across versionsThis game is a total blast, and infinitely replayable. It’s everything a modern rogue-like should be. However, the iOS version has some bugs that undermine some of the excellence of the game. Some examples: (1) The D Infinity is an absolutely fantastic item that is completely ruined by the touch-screen controls — there’s simply no way to use its switching feature unless you use an external controller. (2) Items that require double-tap inputs to use are very nearly unusable with the touch controls — they pretty much activate at random. (3) Certain temporary effects (like Holy Mantle and Book of Belial) simply… deactivate if you pause out of the game — and if you’re playing on your phone, all it takes is an unexpected phone call to force a pause. This can be run-ruining for certain characters. Issue (3) has persisted since before Afterbirth was released on iOS; it seems like the iOS version devs don’t really give this game much attention..Version: 1.4

It's solid. -a man with many hours on this game.I have Isaac on all of my gaming platforms and when I heard about Isaac on iOS comic out I was a little scared. The vita version was kind of crappy and I wanted Isaac on iOS to be good. I've put in a solid five hours as of writing this review and all I can say is that this port is extremely well done. I've played as a mixture of characters and there seems to be no lag, as up to the womb. (I haven't unlocked the rest yet as I've only had 5 hours in the game.) the controls are a little weird at first but you get used to them after a few runs. The items all do what they are suppose to and do not lag out the game. This is a great port..Version: 1.1

Best game I seenI really like the game and I miss the old version but this one really got me hooked up when I saw it I knew I needed to buy it and I am close to passing it because I play everyday and I really like the fact that for once a game does not need WiFi to work I really wish this game gets and update so that we can play the afterbirth plus it would be a merical and it will let the developer gain so much money if he does this but then again it’s his choice to let us play the afterbirth I mean this game did cost like 15 dollars so I think it’s best to just give us the update to play the later versions of the game it would be a pleasure to play such an amazing game.Version: 1.1

IPhone controls okay, iPad controls awkwardI’ve had this game on my phone for a while now, and while it doesn’t really come close to mimicking the control accuracy of PC/console versions, I found it serviceable. I like to play it while waiting at my gate for flights. I recently got an iPad, and while the movement and shooting controls are the same, the item/bomb controls are on the left side of the screen, same as the movement stick. I don’t know about you, but I like being able to use bombs or items while on the move instead of having to stop moving to tap them. They should be on the right hand side with the pills, but I see no option to change this. I don’t want to buy a controller just for this game, so the game is pretty much unplayable for me on iPad..Version: 1.1

Amazing port nasty bugsBinding of Isaac is amazing, I have it on my computer as well as on my phone. The only thing holding this back from a 4 or 5 Star is the fact that there are nasty bugs. One is instead of shooting in a direction you start walking in that direction which is obviously horrible, next some items are useless because the developers forgot to add the drop trickets and pills button and forgot to add the change card button so starter deck is worthless. Next there is no dev team working on Isaac for iOS(what I heard), so none of these bugs will be fixed and there will not be the dlc’s for a long time. Finally, the game eats your battery after one run I loose about half my battery. The game itself is perfect only the bugs and no dev team holding it back..Version: 1.1

Great game! Touch controls are “fine”, but a little difficult when it comes to precision.I’ve played this game briefly in the past. I own it on the Switch and Steam as well. I bought the iOS version in the event I’m on the go without my Switch. After putting in 5 hours or so, I can say the game is great and just like I remember. It is very difficult to make precise movements, which is a must if you want to complete this game. I may get better with time. Luckily, this game has controller support. I order a controller and phone mount today just for this. Overall I still give the game a 5/5. Would recommend..Version: 1.1

Amazing Port!!Very VERY good, control 1 is great so you can walk with the joystick and not insta run into spikes, they have paid very close attention to details and this is VERY polished, the only problem iv had is that when my iphone 6s is horizontal a little bit of the top of the screen is cut off but when i rotate the game vertical i can see a little bit bigger field of view, other then that there is no reason not to get this $15 is well worth the price im sure there will be plenty of future updates and bug fixes!! And hopefully new free content?! Heck i would even pay another $5 if they added afterbirth as a in app purchase in the future!.Version: 1.1

A couple bugs still remainingThe recent update fixed a lot of things that were buggy, which is great. A couple bugs that are still in the game, however; rerun does not seem to work, and golden/blood bombs cannot be used without any normal ones. Additionally, there’s a new bug regarding active items with schoolbag/consumable with polydactyl or equivalent, being that they can no longer be swapped between. Additionally^2, in regards to TBoI overall, there’s still a couple of charged attacks from the DLCs, like the Forgotten’s/Berserk’s club or Tech X, which don’t properly interact with aim lock. Thanks!.Version: 1.4

Legit IsaacIf you are looking for the mobile version of The Binding Of Isaac this is it. There is a few minor problems but besides that it's well worth the money..Version: 1.1

Controls...Pros - Amazing content, graphics, sound, art... Cons - Does not feel good, especially compared to the PC version. Character nearly impossible to control in a game where dodging is crucial. Recommend buying only if you've played it on another platform beforehand..Version: 1.1

Amazing game.I've put at least 2000 hours into the pc and ps4 versions, but the controls aren't that good on this version. Recommended for experienced Tboi players..Version: 1.1

Movement stick issuesI love Isaac so much I got %50 percent on ps5 and have all repentance on all platforms and I want you guys to make one change for the movement please my left stick movement on touch screen mode follows my finger and messes me up if you guys can make it so it doesn’t move or even make a hud customizer so you can make your whole hud yourself as in changing the buttons for the active items and card slot button and the bomb bottom too that would be great and I will definitely grind a lot more because I’m on my phone a lot and I love Isaac HUGE fan I love your games a lot it was just a very annoying issue. Love your work.Version: 1.4

Overall ok, computer is betterIt lags a bit and I have a brand new iPhone 7, but otherwise it’s the same as the computer version, when we got it on the iPad, the touch pad moves with you when you’re moving or aiming which is annoying and should be fixed but overall, great mobile version.Version: 1.1

This Port is Amazing! Add Twitch support! This port to iOS is a complete success. Please add the ability to stream to Twitch! Perfect for anyone really good at touch screen controls. I never could have imagined a day when I'd have Binding of isaac, super mario and roller coaster tycoon on one device that fits in my pocket..Version: 1.1

I love this game, but the controls suck.I hate how the joystick follows my finger, it makes it very unplayable. This mobile version has potential. Please fix the joystick. It’s been a year since you have updated this game..Version: 1.4

So worth it!The binding of Isaac: Rebirth is great by itself but it would be cool to have ab and ab+ on iOS also... pls.Version: 1.1

Most fun I've had on my phone in ages!I've loved TBoI for a long time, and when I first saw that it came out on iOS it bought it immediately! I've put in so many hours already, and I can't wait for the DLC to come out. I highly recommend you purchase this game!.Version: 1.1

Hard to play? Get a controllerI play this game with an Xbox one S controller synced to my iPhone and iPad and it works just fine. 10/10 game..Version: 1.4

WowThis is a great port with all dlc available, only thing is you need to do the zoom command on Mac, if not the screen is zoomed out. Offers seamless gameplay if you are looking for a way to play repentance on Mac this is the way. No emulators needed just a little zoom. 100% recommend for Isaac players who always wanted repentance. One little issue is since this is a mobile port the quality is slightly lower, but It doesn’t reduce from anything..Version: 1.4

Good game but buggyInsane game but my progress got reset before dead god to basic no d6 Isaac so beware of bugs.Version: 1.4

Just like on consoleI don’t think the fact that it’s on mobile affects anything except for the controls, the game runs good and looks good and I’ll definitely keep playing it. We NEED external item description tho🙏.Version: 1.4

Amazing gameI start playing this game when warth of the lamb came out back in 2011-2012, and then kept playing it since rebirth relase. Maybe I was to young to play the game but it defenetly inspired me to make games on my own. Thanks Isaac.Version: 1.4

Very good port; please keep supporting!Love this game! The current version is very enjoyable with both controller and keyboard support. Runs flawlessly on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. R key needs to be enabled on keyboards! I have noticed the game crashes when loading ending cutscenes at the end of every game on Apple TV 4K, so the game is technically unbeatable on that platform..Version: 1.4

Running slowSometimes on start up and when i pause the game, it will run in like half speed..Version: 1.4

Really good but controller bugTheres this bug if you connect a controller and lets say you have 2 pills/cards and you want to switch (R2) but the problrm is the R2 switch has no cd so it switches rlly fast and its really annoying to switch to the thing you want to like tainted Isaac for example.Version: 1.4

JoystickIt’s Isaac. I have a love/hate relationship with this game, I think it’s actually about 4 stars. But the Joystick on this version makes it unplayable, it really needs a lock in place option..Version: 1.4

Everything is great but the controlIssac itself is a great game, it’s just a pity that the control for this mobile versions is barely usable— the movement stick follows you everywhere on the screen. Recommended if you have a controller with you, and for those who wish to play Issac outdoors, maybe the Switch version is more worth considering..Version: 1.4

MovementHas so much potential, but it’s impossible to move accurately. Please add a feature where the joysticks are locked on screen, instead of drifting further and further!.Version: 1.4

It’s greatI’ve bought all the DLCs and it’s amazing but there is one thing I hope can get implemented, which is the ability to lock the movement circle like in Stardew Valley..Version: 1.4

Great! Just a few issuesWorks suburb as a mobile version of tboi. I would recommend connecting a controller as mobile controls do make the game extremely hard sometimes.Version: 1.4

Achievements have disappearedI logged into one of my files and some of my tainted Maggie and Lazarus marks are just gone as if I never done them. I really hope it’s just a minor glitch and that it won’t happen anymore cause it took forever to get some of those marks..Version: 1.4

No complaintsWhat it says on the box.Version: 1.4

Good game, disappointing controllCan u pls make an option to fix the control in 1 place?.Version: 1.4

Extra lifeWen you got a extra life and dying you don’t revive with my extra life?.Version: 1.3

SadI paid for repentence on steam, and on switch, now expected to dish out 50$ again to play alone on my ios is crappy, hoping next generation of gaming i dont have to buy the same game 5x to play on different platform.Version: 1.3

BOI EXPERTIm so glad they made all DLC available on IOS bought the game and currently on my way to finishing all character !! Gor those having a hard time buy a phone / controller it make the game so much easier ! And fun !! 🙌🏼🫶🏼.Version: 1.3

Favourite game, could use some workBy far my favourite game, but some of the controls could be a bit better, and some of the mechanics just don’t work. You can’t drop trinkets, which is something pretty necessary for some of the unlocks, and all of the pocket actives don’t work unless you have a regular active item. If those two problems were fixed, the game would be perfect.Version: 1.3

Keyboard support! The game is amazing, although it could be even better with compatibility regarding iPad’s magic keyboard (WASD + Arrow Keys controls).Version: 1.2

Honest reviewPlease please please just allow the ability to move joysticks and full screen and this port will be amazing..Version: 1.2

This update is great! BUT…The new update is a godsend. That said, PLEASE update the game to take advantage of the entire screen! At least allow the touch controls to reach the black bars, or give us some borders or something🙏.Version: 1.2

This is greatWith all expansions now on mobile its pure enjoyment.Version: 1.2

DLCThis game is amazing and is also amazing that they added it to IOS but the fact that the DLCs are more than 100$ for all of them on IOS?!?!? Is ridiculous and obviously a money grab come on? More expensive than the better pc version.Version: 1.2
