FINALLYI always knew that this game was amazing and I bought a 3ds mainly to play this game. I ended up selling my ds later on and I always thought that this game was perfect on a handheld device because of how easy it is to run and because of its quick paced nature. The port is incredibly easy to use and is the same thing as on the ds or computer (when talking about the menu ui). This game has all of the items from the computer version and I'm hoping they will continue to add the dlc from the computer which I'm sure they will because of how much praise this app is getting. I hadn't even read anything on this app before I bought it. The second I saw it i dropped $15 because I knew that it would be worth it. This is a great game with great devs and I know that they care about the community and will continue to refine this game. Since it just came out the movement is a little hard but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just wish you could adjust where the little joysticks are because I have big fingers and would like them to be a little farther away because on portrait mode it's hard for me. The portrait mode made me really excited because it felt like the ds and was incredibly clean and easy to look at. However because I have an IPhone SE which is basically the size of the 5, my fingers often bump into each other while playing which is a big problem. Old controls were better, would love if they were changed backLove the game, have played countless hours, and when the update came out where I can get the DLC’s I was ecstatic. The only thing I don’t appreciate about the update was the change of the controls. The D-pad in the old version was much better. In this new version the sensitivity cuts out before my finger even slides all the way off the screen. I also preferred the old layout because I could still see the time of day on the screen while playing, which is something I strangely really appreciated. If I had my way, I would request that the controls were reverted, and after the update, the quality seemed to be kind of hazy and the screen felt smaller in a way that I didn’t really like. Maybe if there was an option in settings to revert the screen to the old layout that could be incredible. I haven’t played around enough to know if the update fixed it or not but I also knew of no way to switch the item being held, like if I had Little Baggy, there seemed to be no way to alternate which pill I could select, which made it kind of useless. Rebirth!!!I love it! iOS Isaac has finally arrived! It's not everything I wanted but it is still incredibly fun. iOS rebirth is everything you'd expect from the game plus they've added portrait mode and they've tweaked the hud to work with fingers. The game looks amazing and plays very well, without stuttering or any hitches on my iphone 7. The default touch movement controls leave a bit to be desired though, as they are they feel a bit floaty and weird. I find rooms that require lots of dodging and maneuverability to be incredibly harder with the touch controls then if I was playing on a controller. However the game does have controller support which really should be the way this game is played. The game currently comes with 2 touch modes, but I've yet to find the difference between the two.. The controls aren't terrible though, I did happen to get within 3 hits of killing mom on my very first run (so sad) with 0 damage ups and 1 tears up. Issac on iOS is great! But the issues….I love the binding of Issac! And since it came out on iPad, and iPhone, I have been playing it alot! It’s tons of fun but, there are so many bugs and issues that make it unfair, activate items and items like D infinite, and cables, used to work on the older versions, but in the new update they are impossible to use, on older versions clicking or holding on the activate items or item used to make it work/change like D infinite and cable, but in the new update it don’t work, and makes some of the active items and items unusable! Also the controls feel unpolished and painful to use due to being buggy sometimes and being too simple, the game crash’s alot and makes progress disappear, and multiple bugs that make it annoying to play, And some characters are still buggy on iPad and iPhone, and sometimes won’t work, I love this game! It’s a good gem! But with the problems I have with it, I would recommend getting the pc/console ports instead of this version..Isaac hate- loverVersion: 1.4

Don't be dissuaded by the price; it's well worth itBetween the original PC version and this version, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has provided me with more than 300 hours of entertainment. It's a fantastic game with immense depth and variety, and is more than worth the 15 dollar price tag. Honestly, it's almost stealing at that price. For veteran players, this is a great port, offering all the same content as the PC version at a smooth 60 fps. It's not diluted or censored for a mobile audience, and the controls and UI are fantastically adapted to mobile gameplay, with a few control settings to choose from as well as a portrait mode. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone, whether an existing Isaac can looking to take the game with them on the go, or to new players looking for a deep and challenging game that makes mobile gaming with your attention. Love the game but mobile has 2 problemsI like everything about it, it's an amazing game but it has issues saving my progress(I've lost so much just by simply closing the app and even just leaving the game alone), and while that's the main issue I also hate that while playing the game if out ever pick up a trinket while it's good to have one, it always gets in the way when your trying to move. while it may be a skill issue on my part it's annoying that everytime I hover over the trinket by accident in a boss fight, i end up getting stuck on the trinket as the game thinks I'm trying to drop it and the boss ends up hitting me or even when it's just a normal enemy or champion I get hit because the game thinks I'm going to drop the trinket. New to Binding IsaacI have never played any version of the Isaac games. In fact I have never really played a twin stick shooter like this. I am really terrible at it but the game is a lot of fun and so far appears to be incredibly deep but this game is definitely not going to hold your hand. It works great on my iPad Pro and recent iPhone. The only thing I would say is God bless anyone that can complete this game with the touch screen controls. I can barely get through a few levels with an mfi controller. The touch screen layout is fine but just seems really floaty and you need to be very precise and fast to succeed at this game. If you know the game and just want a phone version to kill some time it might be serviceable but I suspect it would make an already challenging game incredibly hard to succeed at. An example of what mobile games should beI have never been a fan of rouge like games, but I thought I would give this one a try because I had heard many great things about it. I was hoping for a half decent port for mobile, and I was surprised when I found that it was almost the exact same game that's on PC. Definitely worth a shotIf you aren't familiar with the Isaac games, its kind of like the legend of Zelda for NES. You run around, collect items to make you more powerful and try to conquer your enemies. Its randomly generated every different room you enter, which gives it a lot of replay value. The game itself asks for the latest version of iOS (iPod 5 and under is a no go) and about 17$ but it is worth it because if you're the type of person to play a game at school, work, or anywhere you just need something to kill the time, this should be your go to. If you are familiar to the game and/or its add-ons, boy, are you in for a treat. The game runs very smoothly on most devices running iOS 10. There really isn't much to complain about the games port to iOS. Absolutely the bestI'm quite confident that this is the single best game available on the app store at the moment. If you have never played Isaac or heard of it, it is a hard as nails yet addicting rouge-like featuring gorgeous albeit disturbing art and really great music. It also features a ridiculous amount of content that will keep things fresh for hundreds of hours. I also highly recommend picking up BOI plus dlc on the computer and/or console. Its one of the highest rated games on Steam for good reason. If you're already an Isaac maniac you will be pleased to know that the ios version is executed very well. Amazing game, doesn’t work well on mobile.I’ve been playing this so much. I love it. My favorite game of all time. The only thing is, this mobile port was made so lazy. Some items like spin to win just don’t work with the touch controls. Tainted cain’s bag of crafting doesn’t work with touch controls either. In fact, pretty much nothing works with touch controls. Having a trinket gets in the way of the stick, you can’t swap as forgotten without a trinket/active item, and I’m sure there’s so much more. Not much of a complaint but something kind of funny, the area that shows where to tap to see tainted characters still has an E if you touch. Definitely unfinished. A nice feature would be if you hold down both the sticks, you start to reset. Of course you can’t reset without a controller, but you can’t really fully play the game without one anyways. My biggest complaint is that JACOB AND ESAU HAVE MORE COMPATIBILITY THAN FORGOTTEN. The forgotten is so fun, but so unplayable with touch controls! But no, not Jacob and hitbox. Jacob has a designated toggle button that lets him wander away from esau. Why can’t the forgotten have a button just like it that lets it swap with the soul? If this game had more compatibility, this would most definitely be 5 stars. Amazing Game but some port flawsI’ve been playing Isaac for a few years, mostly the flash game but I have 100+ hours into Isaac on steam. This port on mobile is great in terms of content to be played. There is definitely 100+ hours worth of content without the DLC(which fingers crossed will come soon!) But, the displays are very weird. There are generally 2 modes you can play on. There is a horizontal mode and an vertical mode(like a gameboy). These displays each have flaws of their own. When playing horizontally, the dimensions of the screen are strange. When I am playing on game boy mode, the joysticks are too close together and hard to control. Not to mention that on newer IPads there is no fullscreen option. Using ps4 controller changes the gameI use my iPad for art so I have a paperlike drawling sheet screen cover which makes using the controls just slightly more difficult. Other than that I’m not necessarily a huge fan of the controls however I do like the shooting lock mechanism. However when I connect my Bluetooth controller to my iPad it absolutely changes the game. It’s Isaac. It’s great.It plays exactly like Rebirth on any other system. It would have been cool if they released Afterbirth+ on iOS. I’m sure that focus is dead and gone now though, as there hasn’t been any updates of any kind in over half a decade. Please fix controlsI love this game, and I'm glad I can finally play it on a larger phone model, but I'm pretty annoyed with the terrible controls constantly flying around the screen. Please add more control options like locking them in place, moving them to different areas, or switching them to a D-pad (I recommend looking to Brawlstars as they make the controls very friendly to all players and devices without making things awkward or overwhelming). It's also hard to invest time into the game when I keep hearing about progress deleting bugs, so that is another area that needs improvement ASAP. Love this gameI’ve been playing for a while now and all I can say is wow! It’s so much fun, I can play for an hour and still not get board. The game has some problems that really need to be fixed though. For example when playing on occasion when you go to shoot, it will instead just move the character, which sends you flying into enemies. But that’s not the biggest problem I’ve had. In the challenges, whenever I beat one the game crashes. It records that I beat it, but not always the reward for doing so. I beat challenge 17 called Waka Waka, and didn’t unlock the scythe tears. OH YES.I've been wanting this game on the phone FOREVER. I love the game but I never found myself playing on the computer that much because it was more of a time waster to me and very arcade like, which is perfect for the phone. Worth 15 apps.It’s easily worth the price. I wish I could track how long I’ve played this game here. I’m going on 200 rounds at probably an average of 10 minutes a run (between 3 and 20 per round). Best mobile game money can buyI’ve been playing this game for maybe 6 years now and recently bought it on mobile. Infinite replayability, 34 different characters, rewarding unlocks, and stupidly addictive gameplay that’ll have you coming back. Best Port of Isaac YetOut of every platform I own Isaac on (PC, Wii U, 3DS, and iOS), I can honestly say that this port is second only to the PC. It's smooth, responsive, doesn't seem to crash as much as the other ports, and includes all the content that an Isaac port should. Seriously well-made port for mobile. It's solid. -a man with many hours on this game.I have Isaac on all of my gaming platforms and when I heard about Isaac on iOS comic out I was a little scared. The vita version was kind of crappy and I wanted Isaac on iOS to be good. I've put in a solid five hours as of writing this review and all I can say is that this port is extremely well done. Great game! Touch controls are “fine”, but a little difficult when it comes to precision.I’ve played this game briefly in the past. I own it on the Switch and Steam as well. I bought the iOS version in the event I’m on the go without my Switch. After putting in 5 hours or so, I can say the game is great and just like I remember. It is very difficult to make precise movements, which is a must if you want to complete this game. I may get better with time. Luckily, this game has controller support. IPhone controls okay, iPad controls awkwardI’ve had this game on my phone for a while now, and while it doesn’t really come close to mimicking the control accuracy of PC/console versions, I found it serviceable. I like to play it while waiting at my gate for flights. I recently got an iPad, and while the movement and shooting controls are the same, the item/bomb controls are on the left side of the screen, same as the movement stick. I don’t know about you, but I like being able to use bombs or items while on the move instead of having to stop moving to tap them. They should be on the right hand side with the pills, but I see no option to change this. A couple bugs still remainingThe recent update fixed a lot of things that were buggy, which is great. A couple bugs that are still in the game, however; rerun does not seem to work, and golden/blood bombs cannot be used without any normal ones. Additionally, there’s a new bug regarding active items with schoolbag/consumable with polydactyl or equivalent, being that they can no longer be swapped between. Additionally^2, in regards to TBoI overall, there’s still a couple of charged attacks from the DLCs, like the Forgotten’s/Berserk’s club or Tech X, which don’t properly interact with aim lock. Amazing port nasty bugsBinding of Isaac is amazing, I have it on my computer as well as on my phone. The only thing holding this back from a 4 or 5 Star is the fact that there are nasty bugs. One is instead of shooting in a direction you start walking in that direction which is obviously horrible, next some items are useless because the developers forgot to add the drop trickets and pills button and forgot to add the change card button so starter deck is worthless. Next there is no dev team working on Isaac for iOS(what I heard), so none of these bugs will be fixed and there will not be the dlc’s for a long time. Amazing Port!!Very VERY good, control 1 is great so you can walk with the joystick and not insta run into spikes, they have paid very close attention to details and this is VERY polished, the only problem iv had is that when my iphone 6s is horizontal a little bit of the top of the screen is cut off but when i rotate the game vertical i can see a little bit bigger field of view, other then that there is no reason not to get this $15 is well worth the price im sure there will be plenty of future updates and bug fixes!! PERFECT!…however…I absolutely love binding of Issak and I absolutely love playing it on my mobile device, it’s an overall great game with lots of strategy and lots of fun synergies. My one and only issue is after getting repentance plus and unlocking the D- infinity I am not able to cycle between the different versions of the D-Infinity dice. I know it used to work by pressing in the upper left corner, where the dice is shown, but it no longer functions and it’s a little bit of a letdown to have a D1 in a secret room. Great Game. Better with game pad.I was a huge fan of the original Flash based game and Rebirth is my most played game on steam with well over 1000 hours played. When I saw it landed on iOS I was excited until I realized my iPad 2 wasn't able to play it. I finally upgraded to a newer iPad and was able to get this game. The game plays just like the original and I was surprised at how well the touch controls worked, however, with 1000+ hours on keyboard and a few hundred more on PS4 with a controller I found it a bit more difficult to play with touch controls so I picked up a Steelseries Stratus game pad and the controls are flawless..ZulucapVersion: 1.1

Nice WorkI've been playing Isaac since the original on Steam. This is a great port over to the iPhone. Don't listen to the people complaining about controls. The controls are exactly what you would expect on a touch device. They did the best job that anyone could have done with touch screen controls. I guess some people think when you download a game, analog sticks and buttons should sprout from your phone for your convenience. If you don't like touch controls, don't play it on a touch screen, or buy a third party controller. But at that point, just play it on your PC. Great Game... however,I love this game. I’ve put in over 600 hours over 4 years playing this game on the PC. I just now discovered this app and was so excited to play. The game runs beautifully and I like it. But I wish the controls were just a tad bit better. A lot of times I found my finger straying further away from the epicenter of the movement joystick. So my movements would be off-kilter and would cause my character to move in a different direction than I wanted. Personally, I think that the Minecraft style of having a D-Pad instead of touch screen joystick would work much better for this game. It would make the controls more linear like the PC edition. Can't get enoughThe Isaac games are my favorite games of all time and I have countless hours of fun wrapped up into them. I'm talking thousands of hours at this point. That being said, every time I was away from home without my laptop I'd have no way to play my favorite game. Now I can play something that has brought me smiles throughout the years while I'm on the go which is great because I've never before had that from a mobile game. COULD be a great port, BUTYou know, I’ve played the snot out of this game on PC/Mac. I’ve watched countless hours of The Adventures of Northernegg. I love Isaac. My primary computer is also an iPad Pro (GASP!!!). I’ve been using an iPad at least as a primary mobile computer since 2013, and I’ve never used an iPad without a keyboard. I know that I’m not the only one, especially with Apple marketing the Smart Keyboard accessory so much these days. The keyboard controls for Isaac on Windows and Mac are great, so why is it so hard to have keyboards supported for input on this version? My only guess is that Nicalis very obviously was dismissive of porting the game to *mobile* (read: phones) and just phoned in the port. That would also explain why there have been zero updates to this version of the game. No ability to access Afterbirth/AB+ content. Yet, everything else here seems fine in terms of performance/stability (can’t know that very well though because I can’t get through a complete game with the crappy touch controls). Simply adding keyboard support and access to the expansions as in-app purchases would put this port on par with the desktop versions of the game and it’s incredibly frustrating that the publisher doesn’t seem to care. At least we have controller support, but even that’s very small consolation considering that nobody actually wants to go out and spend 50 bucks on an MFi controller..Idontknow1029934Version: 1.1

Great port that I have had for years but touch controls are now unusable.I love binding of isaac. I have gotten dead-god on pc and ps5. This port was my first experience for Isaac back 5 years ago. The controls were never perfect, but they were serviceable, and the digital joysticks were locked in place. Now the digital joysticks drag and follows your thumbs. It may be because I’m not used to it or my massive thumbs, but now precise movements are much harder. moving in-between spiked floors is now so much harder because I cant really control the intensity which I accelerate. Because the joysticks drag/move and are now 1/4th of the original size doing movements like a slow walk is a imprecise mess. I haven’t really found a option in game to fix it. Even just being able to increase the size of it would help but there’s no option. It’s really disappointing that they would go through the effort of adding all the dlcs to mobile but not the effort to have standard digital control options. Feels like they didn’t care…1 know this is one of the first games that came from PC to iPhone where the developers demanded vou to pav a comparable price to it’s price on Steam. It was one of the most expensive iPhone games at the time, and still is. I think it’s great that developers are demanding we pay more than the typical $2 game for something that has taken so much time and care to create. However, if you are going to demand that out of your customers, you owe it to everybody that purchased the game, to actually feel like you spent any time or care when making it. I understand aspect ratio makes it difficult to translate pre-existing games onto iPhone screens, but other developers have though of adding artistic borders to make the game seem more cohesive than a smaller screen with black bars on it. Other developers have thought to add additional info or control customization to get some use out of that screen real estate. Instead we get a smaller screen and no way of using the floating controls outside of the already shrunken screen we are playing it on, resulting in so many unnecessary deaths. Absolutely awfulNowhere in the game description does it say that you have to purchase the 3 dlcs after buying the base game, let alone that it’s FORTY U.S. DOLLARS for them. So if you want the full Isaac experience on your phone, you have to pay a total of $55. Absolute robbery, I think this might be the most expensive premium iOS game out there. Not only this, you’re also basically obligated to use a controller, which basically defeats the purpose of mobile gaming, since the main draw is convenience and portability. Reason being, that the virtual analog stick is the worst I’ve ever experienced by a long shot, it’s nearly unplayable with a touchscreen. Oh yeah and there is effectively no way to customize the controls to your liking, there’s 2 ‘touch modes’ and they both feel equally awful. This also means that, if you don’t already own an iOS compatible controller, you’re out even more money. What I expected and what I gotI got this game thinking it would try to be as identical as possible as the PC version. Some differences I noticed, however, make it disappointing: -Either enemies are tankier or damage upgrades are not as powerful. This is most obvious with Polyphemus, where your tear rate seems to be slower, but not as slow as the PC version, and the damage is hilariously weak. When you find it, it’s more of “Oh, Polyphemus” and not “Holy heck, Polyphemus! This saved my run!” -The stat menu is unreliable. You can test this for yourself on the challenge “Darkness Falls.” The damage stat will not update itself for a little bit. -Red chest loots seems to be 95% bombs and 5% teleports to the Devil room. -Flies seem to stick to you and will only attack when you are right next to an enemy. -Game crashes every time you complete a challenge. It counts as completing it, but it’s annoying to have to reopen the game. -Small rock cannot be unlocked. I counted how many tinted rocks I destroyed. After 231 destroyed tinted rocks, I can safely say that it is impossible to unlock in the mobile version. -Movement stick will randomly make me move right, inevitably causing me to take damage. My biggest grievance is the fact that it’s been a year and Afterbirth has not been released. I get it that it takes work to port a game, but you’re done with Afterbirth+. Abysmal Touch Controls, Amazing GameI didn’t know this port existed until recently, and it looks like there’s a good reason for that. I thought the reviews trashing the touch controls were being dramatic, but movement is awful because the virtual joystick moves with your finger for some reason? It is actually nauseating, especially since the joystick can start on the left side but move across the entire screen if you hold it that long. ALSO the joystick just doesn’t show up if you tap the area where the trinket is (bottom left), so sometimes you won’t even be able to move at all! There’s so many ways they could make the controls infinitely better (fixed joystick position, a full virtual controller on the sides w/ haptic feedback, etc) but it looks like they continue going for the minimum effort approach. NEEDS TO BE UPDATEDThe binding of Isaac is the perfect type of game to have on mobile. As it currently stands, it’s serviceable but leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, it is not formatted properly for newer iPhones (from the X and onwards). This may not seem like a big deal, but it leads to the game looking squashed and having to stretch your thumbs quite far in order to use the controls. You can also play in portrait mode which makes the game look a bit better, but controlling the game feels much worse this way. Next, the game is outdated. There have been multiple updates and expansions to the binding of Isaac since rebirth, yet none can be purchased for the mobile version. Why not? I feel like the mobile market is big enough to warrant investing some development time and add these newer versions of the game. If handled correctly, it could be a big resurgence for it on mobile. Finally, the game needs more performance fixes. I have had multiple instances of steep frame rate drops and glitches, far more than any other version of the game that I own. This is not due to lack of power, but rather due to poor optimization. Overall, it’s not terrible but could be far better. Tainted Judas’ pocket active (along with all other pocket actives ive seen so far) is not usable You are unable to switch to the Soul as The Forgotten You can’t use Blind Rage’s extended immunity to use blood donation machines, and devil beggars multiple times. Pausing the game removes most active item effects, card effects, and many temporary buffs, along with the Lost and Tainted Lost’s holy mantle and holy card respectively. Multiple active items are unusable such as Spin to Win, Breath of Life, and a couple others I can’t remember off of the top of my head. There’s no way to restart the run without exiting and starting a new run, or dying and restarting. You can’t cycle between actives or cards/pills. BoI is my favorite game of all time... but this is garbage.I’ve been a Binding of Isaac fan since the game originally came out and have bought every single expansion for the game on the PC as well as the Switch. ControlsDon’t know if I’m the only one with this problem, but the joysticks are really difficult to use. This is especially because they are set in a specific area, and the fact that the left one mainly tries to act like an actual joystick. If one is to tap the bottom of it and slide up it remembers where you first placed your finger and if you did that near the bottom of the screen well then you can’t walk down without having to correct yourself. Probably the worst problem thought is the left one taking priority of 3/4 of the screen if you press down slightly to the left of the right joystick then you better believe you walking to the right and into an enemy. Progress resetAmazing game but after completing Real Plat God on 2.5 saves and moving to afterbirth+, after killing delirium and progressing, on my 5th or so delirium kill the game crashed and reset all but one save file the incomplete third save file remained at rebirth stats.
