Absorbing, Creepy, and Entertaining!Today is a very special "birth"day for me — the day that I played my first game from this developer. And what a strange gift it was — one full of intriguing mystery, clever puzzles, and shocking surprises along the way. This mini psychological thriller kept me in a constant state of curiosity and trepidation. As the suspenseful moments unfolded, I was startled two times, causing my body to shudder in fear — something that never happened until now. Is the shadowy figure staring at me from off in the distance a real person, or just a figment of my imagination? The cartoonish graphics complemented the quirky characters, and, in my opinion, the artistic design was a smart decision by the developer to somewhat abate the gruesomely portrayed graphic violence. The items were intelligently hidden, persuading me to think outside-the-box on how and where to use them. I especially liked applying rarely used techniques, such as drawing. The level of challenge was difficult enough to give experienced players a decent brain workout. This was a great way to knock off an hour or so, especially when offered at no cost. I consider myself a very good "escape artist." But I must admit that I was forced to overcome my stubbornness and resort to the walkthrough, and I wasn't happy about it. This birthday blew me away!How do they come up with this stuff?!😲. Just when you think it can’t get any weirder and more fun than the last one, you get your wish in this game. At one point near the beginning, I actually laughed out loud at the creative absurdity of what I was watching, then a few minutes later nearly recoiled in horror at what I had just witnessed while simultaneously stifling a guffaw. This is the most fun I’ve had playing an escape game in quite a while. The puzzles are once again a pleasure to solve, but the creativity alone feels like Stephen King directing a scene from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. While it’s not necessary to play these games in order, it certainly makes it easier to comprehend and probably more enjoyable, too, so I suggest starting from the beginning for maximum fulfillment. Amazing Game, Really Cool!This is one of the many games I got because I loved “Samsara Room” which you should also get. I just finished it for the second time and I realized how confusing it can be. I thought you just had to rub away the fog on the window but you actually have to draw a tree. Also, the stamps with the starry night was so cool!! It’s very challenging and has a few jump scares that frightened me even after I played it once! It’s really fun and I still am confused on how to get the last achievement. It’s a very complex, scary, and fun game to play. I suggest you get “Samsara Room” and the other cube escape games, like the lake and seasons..CractusVersion: 3.0

Interesting premiss pretty good excecutionI think overall this game was amazing to play, I haven't played the others in the series but I plan to, the story clearly is a part of a much bigger story. Only really bad thing I can say about it is the sometimes convoluted puzzles like the boiling water melts the snow and you find something under a welcome mat, but that comes with the point and click adventure genre. I found this series through playing samsara room and I’m hooked! I try not to ever use the hints, but love that they are in then game. Rusty lake enthusiast!I have played as many rusty lake games as i can find. i’ve played through the free ones and i bought and played the three on steam. i honestly really love this franchise, sometimes it is very specific on what you need to do, but the overall story, aesthetic, and the satisfaction of solving the puzzles is worth a tiny bit of confusion. i recommend keeping a notebook on hand to sort your thoughts and the information needed..Pyro4DVersion: 1.3.0

AMAZING!!!!Let me start by saying: This is my first cube escape game. I was just looking for a fun escape room challenge to play, when this appeared in the results for my search. I had no clue what to expect, but I saw the amazing reviews and decided to give it a chance. This is literally all that I wanted and MORE! One of the best Cube Escapes.I adored this one. It was very well done and the twists were what really made it unique from the rest of the series. I loved the way other people besides yourself had lines and the ability to talk. And the fact that there was more interaction with different people was incredible as well. Not at all what I was expecting…..But was pleasantly surprised. Awesome games!I’ve played all of these games in chronological order. The free ones are short, the chapters you have to pay for are much longer. They’re worth purchasing. Do yourself a favor if you like creepy, interesting puzzle games. Buy and download all of the chapters, Google the chronological order of these games, and play them in order. Weird but funI have played most of the Rusty Lake games and found them to be strange but very interesting even when some of the puzzles are not adequately framed. The available walk-throughs are a great help for me only when I get stuck. You have to be observant yet keep an open mind and be willing to try anything no matter how unusual. Always amusing, sometimes too obtuseI like the weirdness of the games. I only played the free cube games after doing the paid rusty lake trip. It’s only the cube games I got frustrated enough to use the walkthrough videos for hints. Some “puzzles” are just so obtuse that I needed them ( like the- possible spoiler here- fly in this one). A fun and engaging gameIt was a fun game and creepy at the same time. Love the colorful colors and illustrations in the game. To mention colorful characters as well. Until the very end of the game when I unlock the bottom cabinet and a snow globe appears. After the snow globe shakes and the owl appears the screen goes black. Really weird and clever!I love games like this and it's my second Rusty Lake after Paradise. Very simple puzzles but deceptively hard. Faulty appI’ve reset it a couple times because I was stuck and discovered in the walk through that I’d missed a step. Fine, great! I love a hard puzzle. There is one puzzle, however, which doesn’t always solve with the exact same solution. I’m about to have to reset it again because it isn’t responding.
