More unnecessary updatesGreetings. I understand not everything you make will be perfect. You will find thing to improve, and you will improve them. However, this simply isn’t it. You’ve changed this app in significant ways many times before, each more irritating than the last, and this is the worst. The layout has changed, and this is major because the layout has remained overall the same for ages. For new users, it does not make things easier as probably intended, it over complicates them forcing them to learn more when they don’t need to. For old users, the layout they’ve come to know has been changed, so they’re forced to relearn it although there was nothing wrong with it, also causing them to learn more than necessary. It does not make things easier, it overcrowds everything. Instead of putting features just for the sake of it, actually look for the features that require change, like bugs, or find a way to implement these features without getting in the way of what’s been set. That should be the priority. I’m not a professional, I apologize for the inconvenience, but as a user who is dissatisfied with the result, I feel I must address this to bring change and a better experience for everyone. I hope you consider what I’m saying and think twice before you add a new feature to an app that people are fine with and have been fine with for ages. An amazing app, just a few more suggestions that could make it better...I’ve been using FlipaClip for about a year now and let me just say this is one of the BEST mobile animating softwares. There is a pretty much easy to use UI and and many good features like adding sounds and videos/pictures. What I think that would make FlipaClip much of an easier app to edit animations further, is by adding a blur pen tool, that allows you to blur anything at any opacity. This would definitely save more time from shrinking and blowing up drawn images to blur them😅. Another thing that should be added is a camera pan and zoom. This can make an animation that looks flat, look more realistic! I know that FlipaClip isn’t specifically made for editing animations, more so creating them, but it would be very awesome to have. I also know that this would take lots of time to program, which is why blur tool and specific functions of the camera pan and zoom could be bought in a bundle pack! One last thing that would make our animations look better is a tool that allows our lines to be straighter. Sometimes I will draw a figure and the lines of it would look scraggly so this would also really help! This could also be part of a flipaclip bundle pack. Overall, though, the app is a very great one, and I recommend this to all beginners out there! It’s actually really good for average animators out there as well. Best App EverThis app is so amazing and useful if you want to be good at animating, especially because it has layers, and if you have the premium version like me, it can also give you the option to add an unlimited number of layers instead of just 3, I also like that they have onion skin, which is a ghost version of the previous drawing if you didn't know, and not only that, but it can also be colored red and green depending on how you set the “layers before” and “layers after” thing higher, there is just one more thing that I'd like to mention, I can do other cool things like adding voice, music, or just any old type of audio from my files, and I can copy keyframes very easily, and if you guys have that problem where you end up not copying every single layer, you can always hold a keyframe down and then you'll have the option to add a frame onto the next frame or the previous frame and even add a blank frame on the next frame or previous frame, this is a perfect way to add in -betweens on your animation, so anyway, that's it for my rating. I would like to suggest a few things for an update, for example, when you use the fill bucket tool, you can decide how transparent the color will be. I’d also like to make a suggestion, I was thinking it would be a good idea to add a button that says “ lip-sync”. When you press that button, the app listens to the audio you added to your animation, and then it adds a set of mouths that will match the sound you're making..LovechessandponysVersion: 2.1.10

Some suggestionsSo, this app is definitely great in a lot of ways, being a budget effective app to start playing around with animation, and including cool features like the glow tools. However, something that this app desperately needs to be a viable candidate against other animation apps that provide you more features for the subscription, is the ability to use rigging. This should not be a paid feature either, it should just be part of the app, because people will be more incentivized to use it for free, since most animators can afford to buy a five dollar app with rigging, versus basically throwing away 30 dollars for a subscription that gives you nothing. The paid version is not worth nearly as much as you charge for it, and although I see your most common excuse is that most people just use the app to start out, and not necessarily spend money, that just makes it even MORE ridiculous that you ask for so much. And the ‘fact’ you keep pointing at is also untrue. Lots of experienced animators use FlipaClip as their tool of choice. I myself will not, because of the lack of honesty shown from the developers in pulling off basically a scam, and giving users of your product false information to justify a thirty dollar monthly subscription. The one thing this app actually does that’s useful, is that it’s good for learning animation. Actually animating? Not so much. Edit: yearly subscription is 30. An excellent app, but I’m disappointed with some recent changes.First things first, FlipaClip as an app is truly excellent for anyone wanting to get into animation but wants to do it on a platform that isn’t overly complicated. The app is very intuitive to use, and can yield some impressive products if you put in a little work. Where I have gripes, however, is with the recent implementation of a monthly subscription replacing the previous one-time payment for premium features. When I bought premium a couple years ago, it was about $6 and gave me access to all premium features for life. Even after the switch to subscription, I still get to keep the features without paying, which I appreciate. Where I see a problem is with the fact the the new subscription costs $40 for a single year on premium. That’s almost 7x the price of my one time payment for premium features forever, but you only get it for one year before having to pay all over again. I miss the days when you could just pay for something once and then have it forever, and it’s exhausting to have to pay a subscription for every little thing. I understand that with circumstances like inflation, you will need to increase prices somewhat, but the sheer amount that the price was raised and the fact that it’s been changed to monthly payments is really disappointing to me. Good free app - Payed Version is $$$ howeverSimple and fun. It is easy to get started as a beginner animator and even become a professional animator over time. FlipaClip has good tools such as changing the brush, onion skin, stabilizer, layers, and the ruler. You can also animate with sound so you can sync everything together. You can even animate over videos! It is good for an app that’s free. However, there are some downsides. The paid version is quite expensive compared to other, more high quality apps (such as ToonSquid). You have to pay every month! Some other apps on the other hand only needs a one time payment for so much more features than FlipaClip will ever have. That’s if you will spend money, of course. Other than that, you’ll have to deal with Ads and animate FREEly (get it? No? Okay fine). Also I don’t have to worry bout that stuff because I payed a one time payment BEFORE they switched to monthly subscriptions. I just wanna speak for other people too who don’t have what I have. Also there is an annoying bug (that I can see other people also have along with me in the review section) where the bucket switches to the pen tool but it’s still the bucket tool (sometimes having the bucket tool’s color too)??? It is annoying but mostly harmless. The trigger is when I am colorpicking the frame, but then I decide I don’t need to color pick anything so I click on the bucket tool color square and then it happens. Great but here's the thingHello Flipaclip creators, I love this app because it is great for beginners at animation and people who either not draw on paper, or can not find an app to animate or draw on. I have found a few bugs that need to be fixed, the first one I found was that when I was doing a simple animation when it started crashing every time I tried to play it or slide the frames, it really annoyed me so I did not do the animation anymore until it started to affect my phone, so all of my movies and animations had to be deleted because I had to delete the app for it to be able to work I know it is not just me who had gone through the app crashing. The second one I found was that, my Flipaclip did something that didn't like, it made me not being able to slide the frames and if I wanted to play the animation it would go slower or faster then I put the frame speed to be, and like the first I had to delete my Flipaclip again because it was affecting my phone. The last one I found was, the Comeback Contest, it was going slower than the frames should be and the paint bucket wouldn't work, same with the highlighter, and the pencil. The same thing happened to my friend who was also doing the contest. I also would like if the new audio update would work because when it came out I deleted the app and got it again but when I got it again there wasn't the update and again the same thing happened to my friend. SuggestionsHello, I’ve been using flipaclip for three years almost and I’ve grown attached to it, but I am here to complain about its newest update. I find it hard to use because I have a iPhone XR and with the swipe up to view all previous tabs gets in the way of animating because well, it’s like the home button and I keep exiting out from flipaclip it’s a real pain. But with the older version of flipaclip it doesn’t have that issue. I wish there could be a way to switch between the versions. With its new look it feels like it’s brand new and it doesn’t feel right or comfortable I keep looking at my other animations and see that they are much better than the ones I am currently making it’s easier to play back and forth between frames and it’s not only me who is complaining but a few of my other friends who also used flipaclip before it got its update. It makes us beginner animators very upset to start from the beginning all over again it’s like losing motivation and making a bunch of WIPS instead only find yourself going nowhere. So please, I suggest there should be a way for animators who use flipaclip to revert between the old version and the new version not only would it make the people I know happy but it’d be a win for everyone. Some people like the newer version they can have it, others don’t like it they can have their old friend back! So please I hope you think or at least take a moment to consider this. Really good, but some problems.I prefer animating on mobile, since when I do that I can actually draw on the canvas as if I’m drawing on real life paper. The app is intuitive and I picked up the basics quickly. That being said, there are a few features I wish this app included. For one thing, it would be a HUUUUUUUGE time-saver to be able to duplicate multiple frames at once. Instead of having to individually tap the copy and paste buttons 12 times to just get 1 second (assuming you’re using 12 fps) you could just tap it once and tell the app to copy it 12 times and boom. That would be AMAZING. The other thing is smooth camera pan and zoom. This can make still scenes look more alive, and give them a lot more feeling of action. I see this being used in almost every shot in an animation series that inspires me, and it really helps to make everything more engaging. I know that that is more of an editing thing, but it would still be nice to have it all in one app! Finally, it would be nice to be able to import sound files (which you maybe can, but I don’t think you can). I’m pretty sure you can only record, pick from a sound library, and maybe pick from your Apple Music library. It would be really nice if you could upload things like MP3s and WAVs. If any developers see this, please take my feedback into consideration. Great animation app!Hi, I just want to start off by saying that flipaclip has been my go to mobile animation app for years. It works really nicely and has improved a lot over the years with lots of really nice features. So far, my biggest complaint is the limits with the audio. I like that you can add files as audio instead of being limited to recording audio like we used to be, but the one feature that would bring it home is if we can edit the volume of each clip in detail. This would allow the user to edit the volume of the audio in specific places, like if we wanted it to fade out at the end or get softer at one specific part. I’m aware of the slice tool and editing audio of each lane, which are also great features, but its not very useful for something like fading out (as opposed to cutting off sharply) and it wouldn’t be very smooth. Off screen drawings would also be very nice to have for things like shake effects or smoothly moving a bigger drawing around instead of cutting off sharply at the edge of the screen. But other than that there are lots of really good things about this app and I think the developers are (for once) genuine people and not being money hungry. Suggestions are taken into account and the devs are actively, regularly updating the app with new features and fixes. Really good app, would recommend this app for sure. Would recommend! Just a few bugs and annoying things.Hi, I’ve been using this program for about 2 or more years now! I can say it’s a very reliable program to use for animation and art. I just have some bugs to mention. 1. Sometimes, when I add a new frame, it freezes for 30 seconds, but then it’s fine again. It’s not something that bugs me, (since I’ve experienced this bug for long, it became normal) But I figured it would be useful to remove it anyway. 2. I know FlipaClip has a premium pack. About 1 year ago (or so,) They made the premium about 3 or 6 dollars.. (I think.) Now they’ve made a subscription for it. I purchased the premium before it was made a subscription, but I think it’s a little unfair because I mentioned it being 3 or 6 dollars. I think the premium should be what it was. 3. Another bug is sometimes when I first open an animation file, it switches the frame to a past frame. (Like I Said with the other bug, it doesn’t bother me because it’s been there long.) 4. A suggestion would be a mass delete of all your animations? But it says “Are you sure you wanna delete all your animations? It cannot be undone” and will give you an option to select animations you wanna keep. 5. Maybe a sync button? If you have premium and have sounds, say you put an audio and the lip sync is a bit off. More Brushes? +a few more suggestionsI seriously do love this app. The interface is amazing, it’s affordable, it’s easy to use, etc. However there are a few issues that are really blocking me from using it like I want to. The brushes being the main thing. The lack of variety and customizability in the brushes is frustrating. The ink brush is the only brush I find usable at all, and even then, it’s plain. I would absolutely love to see an updated pencil/sketch brush and more customizable brushes overall. I really want to start storyboarding but unfortunately with the brushes available to me it feels impossible on Flippaclip. The next thing, though a little less important in my opinion, is the layer system. It’s kind of finicky. For example, when you import a video it puts it at the beginning on a new layer rather than adding to the frame and layer you have selected, which is a shame. Because then you have to go all the way to the front, copy the layers, go all the way back to where you were, paste them, and then deal with the mayhem that causes. Which brings me to my next point; when you go to the layer grid I think it would be amazing if you had a way to only edit the layer you have selected, rather than each whole frame. If would make cleaning things up and fixing errors much, much more manageable. Other than that, fantastic app! I love that you reply to a lot of the reviews! Great animation app! But…For me Honesty, FlipaClip is the best animation app that’s free. I love that you can look at other animations as well! For it being free it’s amazing and I like how it’s easy to go back and change the names of the animation once you know what the name of the animation should be like. A problem that I dislike is that when it comes to deleting a layer, I hate that it has to delete the same layer of every other frame which can get really annoying. Also, this is what adds onto the fact that it deletes every other layer in other frames, you also can’t go back afterwards. I can’t even count how many times this has happened to me, it ruined my entire animations that spend hours. the fact that I can’t go back after I do this is so frustrating because I tend to press different buttons every time there’s a problem and then without thinking, my whole hours spent into an animation gets destroyed and I can’t go back. Even though I use this app a lot, this happens to me constantly. When this happens I loose my spark that I get for animation a lot which can get really really frustrating. To be honest I don’t think FlipaClip is easy for beginners as well. But I’d never delete it because of these things, because it’s the best app for me, I just wish it was easier for beginners and I’m able to fix the mistakes that I make. But amazing app! Decent app but still needs a bit of workI have been using this app for years, I’ve had it on pretty much most of my devices and have payed for most of the things. I would have rated higher but from using this app for 2 years on this device I have had a lot of problems. 1. Things I paid for on a different device on the same account don’t go over to the other device, having you pay for that stuff again, this might’ve been fixed but I'm not sure 2. Crashing which gets rid of any progress you do on the frame you are working on. This has happened to me a lot. I dont animate with this app as I’m not too good at it but I do draw, which this gets annoying having all your progress gone and having to redo it all over again. This has happened throughout the entire time I’ve had this app and has gotten a bit worse. I feel like this should have been fixed by now. 3. Ads. Now there aren't many ads but it’s annoying. Whenever you try putting a sound, image or video an ad plays. I understand why there are ads since this is a free app but it gets annoying when you’re just trying to add in image for reference. If it was just for adding sounds and videos it would be more understandable. Other than that its a decent cheap animation app for ios, androids and etc. I would recommend adding more brushes and an option to draw symmetrical instead of having to use the kind of janky magic tool. Used to be better..I’ve been using FlipaClip for just about 4-5 years now, and I have to say it’s been my main animation app because of how beginner friendly it is. However, recent updates have been frustrating to say the least. First, the subscription. When I first got the app, I had purchased the premium version because I liked the extra layers and removed watermark. It was a one time purchase and honestly great. About a year ago though, this app switched to a subscription based system which I’ve never liked in any app. But I bought the yearly subscription and moved on. Now however, the subscription ended, and before I went to renew it, I got to see how greedy this app has become. Like, when did watching adds become a thing? I can understand if you watch an add and get an item from it, but the adds that are given when you just exit a project? I know this app is trying to upgrade into a more advanced system, but honestly, the only reason I’ve stuck with this app for so long is because of how beginner friendly it was and how it seemed to actually want artists to create, without every good feature being locked behind a pay wall. I understand that most apps are doing this nowadays and I should just expect there to be subscriptions and adds, but it just feels greedy. And all of this to mention that when I tried to renew my premium subscription, it charged me twice and when I tried to remove the second charge, it took away the premium? Such an Amazing app! But I wish one thing...I absolutely LOVE this app, and I can make amazing animations with this app! As a kid, this app is so simple and really easy to learn new things! With other animation apps they have so many different buttons and I feel lost, with this app however I can feel like I can animate well! With that being said, not one app doesn’t have one problem, may it be a small or big problem every app has one. With FlipaClip one thing is hard to think about, premium. I get FlipaClip is a free app, and they need to find some way to get money off of the app, but sometimes I really wish that having more than a 6 second video was free. There can still be everything else there, but I really think importing a longer video would help some people come to this app. I am definitely not a great animator and sometimes I need a video to help me understand. Overall this app is amazing and if some people are reading this and need some advice to get this app, please do! I use this app so much and it is really fun so I do recommend getting it! Also to the FlipaClip creators... Your app is awesome, but my IPad gets so laggy when I log on! When I copy / paste it always lags and my brush doesn’t work. Fantastic app and I love it butI love this app for when I want to edit a video and it is keeping me entertained during quarantine. It is one of the best animation apps that I have used. But there are some slight things I would like you to try and fix and do. 1. It should be free to upload your video to your camera roll. When I am finished with a video I have to screen record my video so I can get it to my camera roll without paying for it. I do not see the reason why you would do this. It should be free to send your video to ur camera roll. To me it just makes no sense why you would do this. 2. You should be able to import as long as a video as you want. I just hate it when I make a 15 second video and I have to cut it down to 6 seconds so it will fit with FlipaClip. I’d really really like if you would to make this free because to me there is NO reason to make people pay to make a longer video. To me it just makes me not want to do animation anymore. I think we need to be able to add as long as a video as we please without having to cut our video down. 3. When I import a video to FlipaCliP I will scroll across my frames to the end. And I will see that some of my video at the end has been cut off. I would really like if you would fix this so my full video can export instead of me having to worry about some of the end of the video not there. I hope you know what the 3rd one is and plz fix that. Some things to sayOk do I really like this app and I can’t imagine using another one but there are a few things that I’d like to say. I don’t like how all the layers are connected and it would be nice if there was an option to make it so that all of the layers aren’t linked. I also noticed how that I have to have the FlipaClip logo on everything and it’s pretty annoying like maybe let people watch an add for no watermark. It’s also annoying how I can only have 3 layers and not more so maybe you could let us have 5 free layers or watch an add for additional ones. I also don’t like for when I use the onion thing but I can’t make it darker or adjust it to my liking for free so maybe put an add for those who want to. Something that really annoys me is the intro it takes ten seconds to finish and it really annoys me. Something that also annoys me is that I can’t put the speed slower than 1 fps or higher than 30 fps because for certain things I either need it really slow or really fast. I also really don’t like how to get everything that you have to pay for the price is 15 dollars if it was lower like 5 dollars because that’s the average that would be great and more people would buy it. It would be nice if you could share projects with people like you do with google docs. Also it would be amazing if there were a lot more brushes than the 4 that are given. Frame Opacity Isn’t WorkingI’m a pretty new animator and have never animated before, I kept on hearing that an app called FlipaClip is great for beginners. I got it, and here I am now, almost about to have a mental break down from how darn complicated it is. My main problem is that I accidentally pressed a button and now when I add a new frame, the previous frame shows clearly through it, making it almost impossible to draw the next frame. That isn’t supposed to happen. And I looked it up to see if I could fix it somehow, and all that came up was to change the LAYER opacity (the frame and layers are two different things). So, this is a bad problem that I unfortunately can’t fix, and there isn’t a frame opacity option or any way you can change the frame opacity. PLEAS. FIX. IT. Do you know how difficult it is to draw right on top of another, completely clear, drawing? So, now, my animation that I had high hopes for turned out looking like the messiest thing to ever exist. And yes, I have watched all of the one tutorials they provided. No where in the one -they mentioned that there were going to be multiple different videos, but nope- tutorial did they ever mention frame opacity. I also noticed that the eraser is a little glitchy, and there are very few options for brushes. You tried, but you’ve peaked. Update: I saw the notification that the developers responded, however, I cannot see their response. But, yes, I did fix the problem. Good App But Needs Some Bug FixesIt’s a good animation app; easy to learn and you can use a bunch of different layers and change layer opacity once you buy the full version. It’s definitely worth the five dollars but it needs some things fixed. First of all, figuring out how to change layer opacity was a challenge as almost every time I tried it when I was learning how to do it I ended up moving the layer around instead of changing its opacity. That’s because you have to slide your finger over the percentage on a layer and if you hold a second to long you end up dragging the whole layer around. Please fix this, because being able to change layer opacity is quite cool and it was very frustrating trying to figure it out. I feel like it would have been better if there had been some sort of slider once you tap the layer percentage. That said, I picked up how to use this app in the course of a few days and by week or two had made my first animation, which was great considering so many animation programs require you to spend weeks just learning how to use the interface. I love using this app but it keeps crashing every so often when I have multiple layers. Please fix the crashes, because they get annoying and there is a lot you can do with this app when it’s not crashing on you. Major problems with the new updatesI have been using this app for many, many years and have always enjoyed for. For a simple app it’s very good at introducing people into animation and I adored it’s simplicity. But I feel the recent updates have been more unhelpful than anything. My first problem is with the new color wheel. I feel it is much more complicated than the old one and I desperately wish for the old to be brought back. I also really am not a fan of the location of the color picker being moved. It’s a small peeve but me and so many other people have been used to it being in the right corner for years and I wish there would be an option of where it could be located. I am also not a fan of the recent update to the lasso tool. I feel the new update where if you circle the entire canvas it fits to size around whatever drawings are in your canvas rather than the entire canvas. I feel this is very unproductive as me and many others would utilize this feature to select the entire canvas and rotate/flip the symmetrically, along with other uses. Despite all my years of love for this program, I feel these recent updates have been very counterproductive and are just causing inconveniences to artists using the program and I feel it would be in artist’s best i tres to have these features reverted or at least given the option to have to older version of these features..BlakeTheCat5555Version: 2.8.0

Great app, However……..I’m going to start off by saying this app is the best alternative for beginner animators. The app is overall pretty simple and easy to use, but there is also some issues in the app that really needs fixing. The merging tool is one of the biggest issues that I have on this app. It does do its job of merging, but the problem is that if you make a simple error of merging accidentally to a layer that you didn’t wanna merge to it’s permanently stuck that way and you cannot undo it. I feel like it would be better if the undo tool worked for everything including the merge tool. Another problem that I have is the paint bucket tool. If you want to quickly color in your animation the paint bucket tool only registers the same layer your line art is located. It does not register your line art on any other layer. There was an animation that I’ve been working on for a long time. I spent my time on it and then I accidentally used the paint bucket tool and colored in all of the lineart including the drawing. This caused my animation become a blob of all one color, and I couldn’t use the paint bucket tool on a different layer because it would not register the lineart and instead color in the whole entire canvas. These two issues increases the chances of your animation being ruined if you do not catch it before it happens. Good, but not greatI’m gonna cut right to the chase. Flippaclip, while very user friendly and great for beginners, has some issues that really hold it back as compared to more professional programs. My main problem with Flippaclip is also one thing I love about it; it’s simplicity. To be honest, it seems like a much more barebones animation software than a lot of others, missing features that I think could really improve the quality of animations you can make with it. I’m not saying it has to be professional quality by any means, but that it would be so much better if some of the features of professional quality softwares were implemented into Flippaclip, such as camera movement, tweening, and the ability to create loops. On top of that, I think Flippaclip should definitely include more features like that of a drawing program, like alpha lock, clipping layers, and wider range of brushes. That alone would really make it stand out and have an edge that many other AppStore animation softwares couldn’t compete with. Really what I want is for Flippaclip to set a higher standard for AppStore animation softwares, because I think most people assume that only beginners use them as a place to learn rather than an actual programs that many people use to create high quality animations. I really believe Flippaclip has the potential to show everyone that animation software can be both user/beginner friendly AND professional. Please consider this! Best mobile animating app ever.I love everything about FlipaClip and I have had no problems that bother me or just minor issues that don't bother or affect me using the app at all. This app is truly spectacular and I've used this app every since I got it about some years ago. When I see other people say that FlipaClip is a poor app I wonder what goes on their head if it's a problem with their device or something else because this app is the best for animating on a mobile device in my opinion. My only problem that bugs me is that when I set a size for a font, lets say 50 (I've been trying to do that size) it would quickly change to a higher size like 61 (what it's been changing to for me) and I've had to quickly fix it so it wouldn't happen again and it's irritating. I have nothing against the creators or the app itself but if something could be done about the issue, that would great. :) Also a recent problem has occured after drawing pictures for a little over 30 frames where after drawing the outline I try to use the paint bucket and it colors over the whole entire frame including the outline and I have to color it in the layer under it instead which is time-consuming and is very frustrating. A great app but has some down sides…I thought it was a really good app. I recently just downloaded it, but I realized there might be some things that are a bit hard to use for a digital artist myself and a bit unfair. For example, I need to buy a premium pass to have multiple layers to my animation and have other special effects which I feel like it’s a bit unfair on the multiple layer part and just to import a video because only being able to use three layers is a bit hard to draw and animate because sometimes I need more layers for more complex animations. I feel like there could be more things to have to make digital drawing on here easier like to be able to move a certain hand just by clicking on it and not having to just erase it off and starting over. that might be the special effects but I don’t know. overall, that is your choice that you use for the premium pass, which is not really a thing to really get mad about. I just mostly have suggestions for easier drawing experience. like easier to move limbs, heads, eyes maybe more layer access and more than one different/custom pen use, shading and textures, also more textures for erase, to be able to merge layers or duplicate layers, also filters which might be in the special effects premium pass card but then again I don’t know, cause I don’t have it. Amazing AppI’ve loved this app for a very long time, and always will. I had a friend in a summer camp I went to in middle school and I met a nice girl. She was very good at drawing and she was always on this app. I asked her how she made her animations and she showed me how on this app. Soon after I fell in love with it! Sadly, I never got that her socials, but I’ll always remember her and my amazing friends that I met there because of this app. Now enough of that... let’s talk about the actual functionality... It’s honestly an amazing app. I’ve created some of my best work on this app. I even used it to do a science project. It’s easy-to-use and the mechanics are amazing! You can use vivid colors to create abstract art, or animations... Or if you want a more deeper richer piece, then you can! You can make all sorts of different things! Another cool feature that they have are competitions... Competitions include making an animation based on a theme to make for when you first open the app... Or for a music video! Lovely App but some recommendationsHi! As a user of flipaclip for some years now, I have loved a bunch of the updates that have happened, yet there is one that slightly peeves me, the new premium. Yes it is great that I still have a lot of the premium features, having paid for the old premium a few years back. Yet I don't like how some of the newer features I can't even try out, because I don't have the new premium. I get that ya'll have probably got some hate for the newer premium, and I know I could maybe just purchase the new one, I can't though with it being $40. That's all I'm going to say for the new premium as I'm sure that you have gotten multiple reviews about it? I do have maybe some recommendations for flipaclip in the future though. As the first one I would kind of like there to be a feature where we can have keyframes, I know that we can already tween on flipaclip but having keyframes would be so much easier to make my animations more smooth and easier to complete! I would also like there to be a camera feature to where we can make the animation seem more alive! I do know that flipaclip is more for making animations and not editing, but these would just be features that would make it easier. It's totally fine if these are not added! It’s great for beginner animatorsThis app is easy to use and figure out even by a new animator, it has a short and simple tutorial that definitely explains the entire app! This animator has few adds and is fun to use! Now, with all the amazing and overall positive reviews so far, you may be wondering why I only gavel the app three stars. Well, the reasoning for this is because you have to pay for things that shouldn’t really be payed for. Like, if you where to try to make an animation that is detailed and colored with shading then this isn’t the app for you. This app only allows three layers at a time unless you pay for more layers, there is also no good shading pencil or even a smudge tool. This app also makes you pay for imported audio. One big annoyance to me on the app is how I’d you take screenshots or pictures then they don’t always fit how preferred. What happens when you try inserting most types of images is that it will either zoom in randomly on the image to ensure that it fits and cut off most of most important components of the image. Only if the image is too small will it allow you to adjust the image to fit the screen appropriately. Note to developers Though I disliked that I would have to pay for multiple things, you don’t have to change that (in witch you probably wouldn’t anyways because you need to make money), I do highly suggest and support the idea of making some way to fix the thing about the images of they are too big, make them fit best they can or at least make them adjustable when adding them into you animations.DaphneH🛝Version: 2.1.10

Great for animation but low key ate my moneyI animate as a hobby and Flipaclip does the job pretty decently. Brushes are limited but they work and have enough variety. Fill tool is kinda janky like what’s the difference between 60% and 89%? The select tool is really nice i like that you can change the rotation axis. Ads aren’t too disruptive but if you run through the animation a lot an ad will pop up, which i think is just a minor inconvenience. I usually post animation memes and MAP parts, and as an ipad user, the other options are either not great or cost money just to use. The only real issue i have with it is before one of their updates i bought the individual (gamepass? I’m a gamer idk what else to call it) that lets you turn off the watermark, and i believe also the one where you can have like 10 layers. Honestly i just want to turn off the watermark it really limits my abilities to join projects and I don’t want to have to pay for the entire premium package which btw is a subscription? If i can’t get a refund at least slap a 2 minute ad or a on the watermark button for temporary access which i do think compensates for the other features. People say this is good but here is my experienceHi dev team! So, uh I’m a 12 year old who recently got interested in animating and wanted to try this app (my friends say it was good for beginners, please don’t be mad at me for being 12) I don’t know if it’s just me but when I made a project once but I guess when I came back it didn’t save.... was there a bottom to push that made it save? Also when I was trying to put music to animate with (I had the file prepared and everything) it said that the feature was locked and that I can buy the feature or I can watch and ad, and since I know my parents aren’t willing to spend money on an app (no offense to you guys, your awesome!) I decided to watch an ad instead...so uhm the wouldn’t load it just said tap to play every 2 seconds or so..so I restarted the app, and tried playing the ad again but this time it just showed me loading screen and and kicked me out. The fill bucket tool even if you lower the threshold it still paints everything. First, Can you add a tool where you tap on a color in the drawing you have or picture and then your color just changes? It’s so hard to match the colors in different slides without that. One QuestionI love to use Flipaclip for being able to have many layers, adjustable onion views, and all the many perks it has. However, one question I would like to have answered is why there is no way to have an account that can save your animations and be edited on a different device. Shouldn’t this make animation easier to do on the go and more easing since you know your animations will be backed up? The apps I am going to use as a wonderful example for this are Adobe sketch and draw. Both have the ability for the user to create an account so they can have their drawings saved onto the account. Users can easily go from iPad to iPhone and have their same drawings be there. For the people who care a lot about their work, it would be nice for their art to be backed up onto an account on Flipaclip. This way, they know that even if their electronics take a splash in water or go missing, their hard work is still able to be accessible. I am not a genius in coding, nor am I an expert on how to create apps such as these. The following is simply my suggestion, but that does not mean you have to agree with it. Great app, but a few problemsSo I personally love this app because it lets you animate whatever you like on a mobile device but I have a few problems. One of them is I wish you could change the size of the eraser and drawing tool, I don't know if you already can, but it doesn’t seem clear if there is. If you could change the size it would be very helpful making small, and detailed drawings. Also, the layers... so I personally do not see how the layers would be helpful in drawing, why do they draw on the first layer? And the last problem I have, the lack of the ability to delete layers, frames, projects and movies. If you don't want something in your animation you have to erase the frame (again it would be helpful to increase and decrease the size of the eraser with this) but then you have a blank frame just there that you can't get rid of. If there is a way to remove frames, movies, and projects I clearly could not find it and I would appreciate if someone could let me know how. Also, if you just do not want a movie or a project anymore I wish we could just get rid of it. Some things that I will recommend to update in the futureI’m animator, or at least I want to. I have heard about this app for so long but now just recently downloaded it. What was the outcome? Well... let’s see. First, the thing that gets to the top of my head is the way to use the audio option. I hate how you can only use your files and ITunes Store. I usually just export it from my photos. But it just doesn’t work. Please add more options for audio, because I’m not a person who uses those techniques, if any times. The second one is kind of how the ruler system works. With other systems, I’ve used their ruler tool and it was fine. But something throws me off with how you guys decided to make yours. I was using the circle ruler tool to obviously make a circle. But when I didn’t draw exactly in the lines, It just bugged out/didn’t look good at all. I’m used to apps not making me do it EXACTLY on the lines, but doing it here just makes me feel, I don’t know, off. Third: The Zooming System. For all of my digital drawings, I always zoom in. It helps me focus on what part I’m making. But the zooming is, I don’t know, just a little buggy/laggy. It’s like the ruler situation. But the zooming feels kind of like a magnet, sticking to somewhere when it’s not supposed to. But there isn’t too much going on really. Good app, here’s some money. I love the app, but I suggest a couple of changesI love FlipaClip, and it is honestly the best animation app I’ve ever used. It’s easy to use and to learn how to animate with. Although, there are a few things I’d suggest to be changed. First of all, I’d use black line art with dark colors sometimes, and I’d want to change the dark colors inside the line art into lighter colors. But when I try to fill it in with a lighter color, it will change the color of the line art as well. I tried to change the color of the line art into a light shade of grey, but it replaced the dark colors inside the line art as well. Even when I’d try to replace dark colors with different dark colors, this would still happen. Is there anything you can do to turn up the color recognition/sensitivity for the bucket tool? Another thing I’d like to address is sometimes when I’m using the lasso tool to copy and paste certain parts of frames, what I’m trying to paste won’t show up on the frame at the bottom of the screen, but it will show up on the frame in the middle of the screen (where you can edit what’s on the frame). But if I don’t notice this, the frame doesn’t update and it will delete what I just pasted on the frame. If there’s any way you can fix these, I’d be really grateful. Amazing app! But have issue, which made me more feel frustrating.Hello! This app is really fun, which you can animating and drawing with cool tools. I really enjoy it because it helping my brain feels comfortable and calm down from bad things what I have happened in my life. But here issue… is make me upset. After ad ended when you stopped animation, few seconds later, you get kicked out of app. I open app again, I get kicked again. It WAS great.I have been using FlipaClip for close to eight years now, and it wouldn’t surprise me if I’m one of the longest FlipaClip users to date. It taught me how to animate and it gave me a passion I would have never figured out if I never got it. I even bought the premium for Christmas about three years ago so I could animate with audio without having to see the ads, because I loved this app so much. Unfortunately, my old premium is now gone and has to be replaced with FlipaClip Plus, which- honestly- is extremely disappointing given how much I loved animating because of this app. Now it’s just like Procreate & IbisPaint X’s animating features except worse because of the limited brushes + layers usable. I would use this app whenever I got a burst of creativity and I knew it trumped the other two because of the ability to add audio, but now it doesn’t triumph anything except for my memories using it. Best animationI have really tried so many animation apps which either cost money and still sucked or was free but NEEDED you to pay to get the tools that were required. With this, you get the basic layouts and additions aren’t very much needed, but does make your animations a tad easier. I also love how simple the mechanics are in this. Just a matter of sliding up and down and the color wheel gets all the custom colors you need rather than picking the basic colors of red blue etc. I hope every talented artist and animator would choose this as a start to their career or hobby. I have always thought most of the 5 star ratings were fake until I realized how great this is. Live on, FlipaClip!! One more thing. I would love an option to hide the previous frame so you can see the next much easier. I do get that it is to compare to the last frame so you can turn or move the drawing, but it’s hard to see the next frame when last previous was completely black and my only option was to put a frame between. I don’t have much time anymore to express myself in art like I used to, and I would love to spend every second animating on this, and it wastes precious seconds doing so. Amazing, but...I’ve used this app for a while now for little practice animations and it’s been great. I took a break from it for about a month so far because I found something else that worked better for me, and I decided to go thru all my old animations. Every single time, and I mean, every single time I tried to click on one, I got a Minecraft ad. I could not open a single project without getting a Minecraft ad. Not an exaggeration. I know you can pay to remove ads, but I really don’t think an ad for every single click is necessary. I’d also like to say that when I use the Apple pen, (this only happens on FlipaClip) the stroke is extremely slow, I guess you could say. It lags behind where the screen is actually being touched and is hardly useful. I also believe that having to pay for more than 3 layers is annoying. For artists like me, we usually like having a sketch layer (usually deleted, so this won’t count), coloring layer, lineart layer, shading, and background layer. Including the fact that you also have to pay to merge layers, this is something that really gets in the way. If you’re looking for something to get started, this app is for you, but I do not recommend this for fully completed animations, as it crashes occasionally and for the reasons above^^ of course many people can get this to work for them, but this is just my 5 cents..ImogenhatesitVersion: 1.2.3

MehBeen using for a while, like it but find it hard to maneuver about with a small phone such as mine. Hating the ads every time I stop an animation when I first come in, it blasts ads at people who don’t pay whenever they try to stop an animation. I like working with things on it, but the paint bucket system is so nit picky, it’ll fill the whole background because one tiny pixel is not connected. I suggest fixing the “pain” bucket to make it less painful, and stop with the ads??? You make enough money from people spending money to escape them. Speaking of paying, why are a lot of nice things locked under payment? Us who do not want to spend money on a mobile app for animating get lack luster in the features. Best animation app ever!! But one minor problem.I love FlipaClip. I use it every day for my sketches and animations, and FlipaClip Plus is awesome! No scams, No adds to take you out of the art zone, and so many brushes to play with! And even without FlipaClip Plus, it’s still the best to use! Not that many adds, you can still use locked brushes, and the animation quality stays the same. It’s really good for beginners, and it’s a good way to start an animation path. Amazing but have one suggestionI’ve been animating with FlipaClip for about three years now, and I truly love this app. It’s intuitive, affordable, and packed with powerful tools that make it easy for both beginners and experienced animators to bring their ideas to life. I’m currently developing a show, and FlipaClip has been my go to platform for laying out and cleaning up animations. That said, one feature I feel would dramatically improve the workflow is a vector tool similar to what’s available in Toon Boom Harmony. Specifically, the ability to place down a line and manipulate it using control points kind of like the current perspective tool, but with much more precision. This would be incredibly helpful during the cleanup stage, where line consistency and flexibility are key. Right now, cleaning up frames requires a lot of redrawing when a simple curve adjustment could save both time and energy. Having the option to reshape lines after they’re placed would be a huge leap forward for efficiency and polish. Been using since 2017 - Truly remarkableI've been using Flipaclip for all my animation since 2017. I bought the premium features for the illustrious $5 price tag the second I could. It’s amazing to see how much the app is evolving, and I'm so glad hundreds of people have such a good tool to get into animation. No longer must we toil in the olden days where the only way to make a gradient was by using the eraser tool. Seriously it’s absolutely incredible this app exists and even more incredible that its gotten this far, AND EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE that it remains the affordable and reliable animation app it was like 6 years ago. FlipaClip is one of few companies I would feel more than happy to give my money in return for no ads- and one of even fewer I would be happy to continue watching ads for. And from being in their official discord server- they’re also probably one of the most reliable, transparent, and trustworthy companies out there. Please readIf you are looking to animate, I recommend this app for starters, 3d animation ( usually ) starts with a sketch, and then a small 2d uncolored clip, that’s basically what this app is, I’ve wanted to animate since I was 9 and this is the app I’m starting on, I haven’t spotted any flaws, this app is just awesome Edit: I came back to edit it because I noticed that there are 2 certain ads that kind of question me, a lot of things about them. There’s really only 2 ads that play on Flipaclip, one of them being an ad for the new spiderman movie, and the other one being a roblox ad, except these ads come up at random times, for example if I see a mistake in my animation and pause it, one of these ads come up, and my question about them is just, “ what? “ the spiderman one os advertising the spiderman movie but it doesn’t say anything about seeing it in the movie theatre or watching it on a website, it just advertises it, and the roblox one isn’t JUST roblox, the ad is basically advertising their game, and the game isn’t an official roblox event. Great app but I can’t recommend it anymoreI’ve used this app for a about 3 years now, and I personally love it, it’s basically the app that got me properly dedicated to digital art, however when I started using the app it had what was called “FlipaClip premium” where you could pay $12 for all the pro features like removing the water mark or up to 10 layers, so I paid for premium about 2 years ago, and it made me love the app even more, but now they’re replaced it with “FlipaClip +” which is a subscription, and without it not only can you not use the built in paid for sound packs, but you also have to watch an ad every time you want to add a sound of your own, or in the instance of one of my friends who I had recommended FlipaClip to he couldn’t add his own sounds at all, and plus the subscription is WAY more expensive than the original premium was, it’s still a great app but for the price you have to pay at the moment it just doesn’t offer enough as it still is a very simple animation program in the grand scheme of things, if I had to make the choice someday of either paying for plus or swapping to a different app I’d swap to a different app, if you want a simple animation app this works, but there are a lot of other options if you want to really get into animation that not only offer more but are far less expensive.JshdhgdndVersion: 2.6.4

Great app!I love FlipaClip, but one thing I’m not that big of a fan of is lets say I’m making a movie for my family right? And I need to make moving words, I use FlipaClip, but then when I save it to my photos and put it in IMovie (what I use to make the movie) it has the FlipaClip watermark on it. It’s not much of a problem but I just wish I could make the words move without the watermark on it, oh and also, when I use the fill tool to fill my thing in and it has like a one pixel line out, the paint tool goes out of it then I have to find the hole. But other then that, I love it! One more thing! I don’t really like the fact I have to turn WiFi off to get no ads but then I forget to turn it back on. Okay Okay, it’s.... good.. but please listen.So using FlipaClip Is pretty simple. It’s easy to animate on, its good for beginners, you can remove watermark and get extra features, it’s good. But, it would be really nice if you up dated your pen. It’s just so hard... if you could PLEASE make it easier to make the lines straight that would be great. The pen choice in Flip is... pretty bad, sorry to say... we only have a couple options, and most don’t work at all. Except for the Paint brush, that’s okay. But what I’m trying to say is if you could get more affect brushes, that would be great and well appreciated! Also, There are some things you can do that you can’t on other programs, and that’s why I gave the 4th star, other than that it more of a 3-3.5 rate for me.
