Love Da Vinci Eye!This is definitely my favorite app! I’ve had so much fun with it and areas of my art have vastly improved. I now get drawings with tricky compositions right on my first try. It’s especially helpful when drawing animals and people—getting them properly proportioned, with eyes exactly where they belong, and getting the shading just right. The breakdown mode for shading is fantastic, and the strobe feature is also extremely helpful. Any problems I’ve had have received clear and friendly help—and incredibly fast. A tutorial will be made addressing an issue I’ve had, so user needs receive very focused attention and are even welcomed. Da Vinci Eye was a gift, and I was amazed to find out how little it costs. I would gladly have paid several times over its price tag. There’s so much more to this app than I expected, and I’m looking forward to whatever enhancements may be in its future. Love itI first started using the app to try to faithfully replicate my favorite reference photos. But with daily use over the past couple of months, I’ve started using the app to make the shift from drawing “what I know the subject to be,” to observing and drawing the shapes, contours, and shadows in my reference photos, then watching the subjects emerge from those. Didn’t think I would care about the social feature, but I’m finding that I really enjoy it. I’d kind of like to see this expanded a little, if only to give artist the option of writing a line or two about the medium they used or something about their process. It might also be nice to be able to post comments, or DM other artists to ask questions…although I can imagine that going all kinds of sideways, so maybe not. Interesting concept, but not helpful in the long runThis app is definitely a cool concept, but it is also just tracing. My high school art teacher would have murdered me for downloading this. I can hear her in my head chewing me out for this one. I get it, proportions are hard even if you’re “experienced” as an artist. Getting them right often is very frustrating and takes a lot of time and is a huge barrier to those wanting to start out. But with this app or tracing in general, you will likely not learn or develop any critical eye skills for proportion, and if you’re newer to drawing, this tool might actually harm your development if you become reliant on it. The only way I can see it being a helpful tool is if you draw everything first sans tool and then compare proportions later or if you’re using your own smaller sketch to transfer to a bigger surface. Anyway, tracing in art is a big and complicated topic that isn’t directly related to the function of this app. I found this app sort of worthless as a tool after a few tries and more of a pain than anything. The “Phone on Glass” maneuver was a real obstacle, and I was having to move around and readjust the glass and the photo every time I wanted to move to a different section of my paper. It seemed like no matter what size paper I was using or height of the glass, the camera could never get everything onto the screen. The AR function glitches in and out, no matter how much I tried to refine my anchors. You might have more luck with an easel and a tripod setup for sure, this is more of a logistical problem than the app’s problem. But this all can absolutely lead to a cycle of varying proportions that don’t correlate with one another—- then you end up confused and constrained. For me, it ended up being more of a cumbersome process than just using my lazy little brain and eyes and enduring the frustration of figuring out proportions the “old fashioned way”. Wonderful App!! ❤️This app is AMAZING!! I absolutely love it! Let me start out by saying I do NOT pay for apps...EVER! For me, it has to be exceptional for me to even want to. But after seeing it on FB I knew this was one I had to have. For me, the hardest part of any drawing is getting my dimensions and proportions right. Once I have that down, I can shade a picture in record time. But I can spend hours just trying to get proportions down. With this app I can sketch out the proportions in record time, leaving me plenty of time to shade the way I want...game changer! Not only that, I can free hand a picture and then use the Da Vinci Eye to check the proportions and see how accurate I am. Very Cool AppLoving this app. I started drawing a picture a day at the beginning of this year, because I wanted this year to be about getting comfortable with things that intimidate me. Drawing was one of those things. I’ve been improving and slowly expanding my limits. But I came across this app last week and am now finding my limits have expanded exponentially and I’m learning so much more quickly. Now I can draw anything I really want to! Top notch customer serviceUpdate: Just had a problem with the app asking me to upgrade with no warning, having used it since December. Sam asked me to reinstall and everything was back to normal. So don’t freak out if you see that when you hit the +Draw button after the update. I was grandfathered in as others just might be. This has to be the best attention I’ve ever received as a customer in the AppStore. Sam is fast and knowledgeable. I’ve loved this app the more I’ve used it. Simply AmazingTo be completely honest I had very little hope for this and had decided I was not going to get my hopes up when it came to functionality. AMAZING!!!!I’m a professional artist/Muralist/Graff Writer. This has been a helpful tool, especially when I have to get something done in a day (or sooner), of a quick sketch of someone’s family member or a picture they would like me to paint, it helps so I can do a quick outline then go from there. BEST AR Camera Projector Lucida Type Drawing App out thereI searched and even was a paying subscriber for way too long to AR Sketch hoping they would reach their potential. And the way I found this program Davinchi was through a Pinterest Ad. The best ad I ever clicked on there and they deserve the little they ask for in this app. Wait till you get warmed out Nd check out their video guides on features such as breaking down steps to create different style paintings. And if you want to use ar draw they actually have a real working anchoring system with options! I feel duped by those other apps I paid subscriptions too hoping they would fix the most simplest trivial GUI errors. Maybe they didn’t even actually create the app and maintain programing updates (it’s an old racket reselling apps with minor appearance changes) but trying to grab up subscriptions too? A buck or or two or three from sellin the same product to the same people isn’t enough to satisfy even third world husslers. Apple made it easy for them unintentionally by making the AR Kit available. For some reason every app that comes out that is supposed to be a tool to do this, cannot even even focus on programing the app main objective so that it works well Intuitively. Nope. Instead these other apps like Sketch AR skip all that in order to draw with an iphone in HAND barely even trying but filling the feeds making it look as if their is any real active audience participation submission in order to charge subscriptions. Great app. Needs streamlining.Huge time saver to get proportions right when drawing. I love it but I didn’t realize before downloading the app that there would be a lot of extra content. Being able to share your art is cool and all, but if they can make it so that the first thing that pops up is the “Draw Now” function, that’d be awesome. I do not need to wait to load “Today’s Inspiration,” “Featured Products,” etc. Just let me turn those off. Also infuriating is the app’s insistence to default to “Classic” drawing mode, whereas I rely on the AR drawing mode to draw on the go. It shows you AR mode first but before you can select that, it swipes the options to Classic. There’s also no simple way to swap the image you want overlaid in the camera. Absolutely amazingThis app is more than just an app. It is a place where artists of all levels can find their place, and then learn how to expand it, and grow it, into their imaginations wildest dreams. 5 stars isn’t enough. I love this app!I just drew the best picture ever of my dog... it actually looks like him! This app is great for giving a person confidence in getting started on a drawing. The drawings I’ve done if friends/family look like them, versus what I’ve tried on my own. Making of a true artistThis app has made my life much easier and had brought back the excitement of painting again. I don’t draw or sketch so when I wanted to paint (watercolor) I first had to trace the picture on tracing paper then transfer it onto watercolor paper. Great appThis is a great app at a great price. It is simple to use and connects with a community (which isn’t everyone’s first thought, but it’s nice). This app is a great way to improve your drawing skills and shorten your learning curve when using it as a bases for painting. It’s good BUTIt’s a great app, the tools it has are phenomenal- my problem with it though is the AR drawing. It takes FOREVER for the anchor to actually be set and not disappear as soon as you set it down. Very, very, very frustrating. Not to mention that it’s hard to draw as well if you have a normal tripod because the phone has to go up quite high to fit the paper and then at that point you could be standing while drawing, praying you don’t accidentally bump something and have to start over with realigning it. Insanely amazing app but some tipsThe app is SOOOO helpful. Ive never draw so good in my life! I’m a major Kpop fan and I’ve tried to draw Kpop idols, but I’ve only succeeded once. Game changerI love this app, I never felt like I could draw because I couldn’t get the proportions exactly perfect, the speeds up the process so I don’t need to erase nearly as much while nailing the proportions. Definitely worth the price. Does not work on my iPad ProI just bought it. I open the app and it says I need an update to use it and gives me an update button. I hit the button and it takes me back to the app page I bought and just downloaded it from with no new update. I hit the open button on that page and it start the cycle all over again. It’s OK.There are a couple misleading items in the advertising. It is not a projector. You don’t look through the iPhone or iPad. Those are misleading statements. What actually happens is the iPhone camera is turned on and that image is mixed with the image you want to draw. So you look at the two mixed images on the iPhone screen. You move your pencil on the paper to trace the image on your iPhone screen. Not exactly easy to do but perhaps easier with much practice. Bottom line. It’s OK..PrinterpersonVersion: 3.2.9

Amazing. Be a Master Artist in no time.Hi gang When I first started using DVE I wasn’t very impressed but let me explain. I tried both modes but whenever I got the picture just perfect I went to zoom in for fine detail and the whole picture moved. Needless to say after trying numerous times I gave up. I decided to try again and found out my problem and this is with all the modes on the bottom ie : move, hide and opacity. These selection tools when red are active and they will move either your image or the camera/canvas. Make sure when you have your size all set and perfect to turn off the move selection. Leaving opacity on doesn’t affect the image movement at all. I love this tool and you can view some of my miniature drawings and painting in the Feed section of the DVE app. No I am not affiliated with this company or apple etc etc. I just love this program and want to share it with the world. Have to look at phone to draw!I’ve been drawing almost my entire life, but having to look at the phone but draw on the paper is extremely difficult and my drawings are turning out TERRIBLE!
