I have sent this in to the app as feed back but I’m also going to leave this here for anyone who might actually read it ! I strongly feel as though It should be an option to have a monthly subscription not just a yearly subscription!!! it’s kind of crazy you don’t even have that option to select. I just want to read the book I’m trying to read so badly and I can’t even afford the real payment you want for it ! Plus you have a 6!hour waiting period for the next chapters which is also crazy to me! I payed money to get coins to read more since thats the only way to do so with the only money I had and the amount of points I had to use increased drastically from 10ish to 20 because I had more points…? Seems a bit off to me. I am extremely enjoying the book I am reading but it is just absolutely mind blowing to me I can’t even watch adds to continue reading or get more point or anything! I suggest making your app a little more accessible for some of the people who aren’t as well off as others if you might care about the customers and the experience they receive. I would appreciate it if someone even reads this and takes anything into consideration. I don’t have much but I was hoping for this to be a bit easier to access the content I downloaded this app for in the first place..just a young mother trying to take time to herself with not too much of anything else but being a mother and trying to keep her sanity and relax a little bit :/ :( thank you for you time.

I'm a big fan of reading books with different styles that are put into it. I like how the app gives you a visual feel to the story along with sound, it helps boost the imagination of the story. Two things that I personally think should be improved are the ways to obtain points (you need them if you don't want to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the time length of the story. I would love to get in contact with vou quys about the ideas vou can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. Don’t get me wrong I love the app but there are some major things I would want to be changed. (If I could change them.) 1. The time it takes to unlock a new chapter, it started at like 6 hours and then 12, then 24. That’s all that I’ve seen so far but if it goes to 48 hours for one chapter I may as well just go buy the book somewhere. If anything I think the time should just stay at 6 hours to unlock a new chapter. It’s annoying that I have to wait full days to just read a new chapter. 2. It’s easy to get points when you first join but after that, it’s extremely hard. You can watch 10 ad for 2 points each ad. Not everybody has the time of day to do that. You also get a login streak point. Which it goes up once you get to day like 4 or 5 to like 5 points. However days 1-4 are all just one point. (You can’t do anything with a single point.) I think y’all should make it where it’s easier to obtain points. Mainly because it’s takes 10 to unlock a few chapters, then 12, then 16. 3. It feels like it’s pushing you to buy more points and also get their membership. It’s everytime I open my app and try to see how long I have left before the next chapter unlocks that it’s gives it to me. Also just at random points like when I finish a chapter. I’m broker then a penny please, I don’t have the money for the membership. That’s is all I have to say. Thanks for reading I hope this helps with your decision on if you want to download. So I got this app over spring break and I really really like it! It is a great way to read and listen to books. The only thing I wish they did differently is the premium option. I have both the book and the video app but in order to get premium for both I would have to pay on both apps which would be 2 separate costs. Personally I think that is a bit overpriced since the videos aren't long and it's like $6 per month . I think that if you get a subscription then you should be allowed to transfer it to both apps at the same cost since the apps themselves are connected. I feel like these apps are very teen friendly but as a teen who is working 2 jobs I don't have a lot of money to pay for extra stuff. I would really like y'all to consider an option for a double premium at the same price as only one. Another thing I wish was done differently is that you only get one coin per day until the last day. It takes so long to even afford another chapter. There's nothing wrong with that system but it gets annoying after a little while. I think you should have an ad option that if you watch the ad you get one or two coins. this would really help teens and young adults have a better experience with the app. Over all I absolutely love the stories and the setup of this app I just think there could be some improvement to help make it more accessible to people who don't have money to spend on the extra coins or premium option.

Now as for time that you have to wait for the chapter to unlock goes, I just think it’s need to be cut short, we can be in the middle of reading an amazing book, (and well some people don’t want to pay so much money on this app to read unlimited chapters), and we have to wait FIVE HOURS to unlock the chapter for free, I think it should at least a two hour wait… not a lot of people want to read 3-4 chapters for free and then have to wait like a whole day before continuing reading. I think this is how you lose your readers attention and this way people aren’t going to want to continue using this app. I would love to get in contact with you guys on a phone to give more options but honestly with work and everything I really don’t have the time of day to have a hour an hour phone call with you guys… thank you for your help.

I love this app but if you few a things that wish to could be to change with would only get chapter day understand could wanting people to subscribe. I wish we could have 3-5 chapters a day or give give 2 chapters every two or hour or something. I fee that there are different a better ways to get people to subscribe. Okay so not all stories are great and some are really bad, but the library is pretty expansive and allows new authors to really get themselves out there. There are LOT of spicy options here (I honestly haven't found one that isn't yet) so fair warning if that's not your cup of tea, but they are clearly marked. Yes, you have to unlock to keep reading, but there are plenty of options to earn points or you can wait for them because there is a very clear timer shown for the next one. There are options to pay one time annual subscription costs or you can pay for various points options. Those points seem to be the same for each chapter (unlike other apps like this) and you're able to see how many chapters there are making it easy to calculate how many points you'd need to finish your book. I did the free options for a while before getting completely sucked into one series and then chose an annual one which I felt was fairly priced. I love that there are tons and tons of categories and books can be found with simple tags. My few complaints would be that if you accidentally tap a chapter you already read, your unlock timer resets and you have to wait all over again. It's also not super clear if there are other books in the same series (if there is one) because the navigation is a little clunky and the descriptions don't often mention previous or next books in the series. I also cannot seem to figure out how to adjust the font size which is quite small and there's contrast is a bit of an eye strain after a while. Other than that, I'm quite pleased with this!

This app is very well organized; pretty clean cut. I started using this app an hour and a half ago and fell in love with their genres. They give you a few free chapters per story and then when those run out, you have two choices. 1) wait some hours for the next chapter to become available to you or 2) pay money to get the next chapters immediately (you can pay to unlock the whole book). There are monthly subscriptions but you can also just purchase coins whenever you need to without subscribing. The only reason I’m giving it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because of the wait time. I understand 30-60 minutes but seven hours is excessive. Which I suppose is the point, how else are they gonna make money? I do wish there was a better and faster way for my broke self to obtain chapters faster. You can watch a bunch of ads to gain points but I do wish that we weren’t limited to only 10 ads a day (2 points per ad and a chapter costs 10 points). There are other small annoying tasks you can fulfill but you’ll run out pretty fast. But you do get daily points as rewards for completing a chapter! (a point for a chapter/ no additional points per extra chapters) On the fifth day you get 5-6 points. So I think changes should be made but it’s a legit app and so far there aren’t any ads unless you request them for points. It also has an audio feature for most books that give background noise/music appropriate to the situation! I love that feature!

The downside is that once I completed a handful of one time tasks, the only way to get points to unlock chapters earlier than every several hours (after the first few free chapters) is to either spend money in the app or only earn a point a day for checking in each day. And since it takes 10 points to open up a chapter immediately, it takes ages before I have saved up enough points to do anything. It would be nice if daily check in was 10 points a day and that we would also get points bonuses for daily check-in streaks (of putting multiple days of checking in on the app together), as well as points for reading for different amounts of time on the app daily, and/or the ability to earn points by watching video ads. I love this app but if you few a things that wish to could be to change with would only get chapter day understand could wanting people to subscribe. Most of the books on here are amazing! There are some that seem too rushed, one I started skipped time and didnt give any information as to what happened during the skip, and others just weren’t for me. The app does have a free option, the only downside is the multiple hours wait between chapters. Ranging from the least I’ve seen being 6 hours, and the most I’ve seen being 36 hours. It’s frustrating but I found that I can read the books I read before bed, and they’re ready by morning and again after lunch. I do really like this app but wish the subscription was offered in monthly payments. Or if it’s already an option to make it easier to find that option. It says it is $5 and some change a month and when I go to subscribe, it wants to charge for the whole year. Which isn’t too annoying for now, the wait between chapters lets me be in the books longer and I enjoy that. After you read each chapter it does let you reread without the wait times so that’s a plus to me. My advice is to read a few books at a time to make it worth the few hours in between chapters. That’s what works for me. A suggestion I have though: a calendar to see your reading streak by month and year. I would love to see how long my streak is and the past streaks. I had one that was over 70 days and my current one is in the 60 day range. I think it would be a fun addition!

Love this app it literally has become apart of my day. I love to read and I have several books going at once probably more than normal but I can’t help that the books in this app are great. There’s only 3 things that I don’t like about this app is the 6 hr wait time between chapters, that some books have “chapters” that are 2 sentences long and only take 10 seconds to read and sometimes it messes up the wait time count down. I don’t think it’s fair to wait 6 hrs to get 10 seconds of reading. If the chapters in the book are short I think it should be allowed to combined a few chapters to make it a decent reading length or there should be a chapter length minimum X amount of words/mins reading. A lot of the time I will finish a chapter and bring it back to the home page to start another book then 6 hrs later I’ll go to the first book to read the next chapter and it’ll have the 6 hr wait time all over again like it never started the count down like it should have. It gets really annoying when it happens a lot. Other than those 3 things I don’t have anything else negative. I like that you get points by watching ads and that you can now watch 5 a day instead of 1. Also you can get a point for a comment on the chapter you read which helps add up and I like that you’re able to save the points for as long as you choose. I think there should be some more ways to earn points, like maybe get a point for every book you comment on and or you get more points every day on the reading streak instead of 1 a day until you hit a certain day have it go to 2 points after the bonus day

I enjoy reading books that are written in a variety of styles. I enjoy how the app combines sound and visual elements to give you a sense of the story; this lets the story's imagination soar. I find the number of points required to unlock one chapter to be a bit excessive. You can only receive one point per day if you leave a comment on a story. I like that we can have login incentives where we get a specific number of points every time we check in to the app, or we can watch brief advertisements to get points. Regarding the waiting period, you can only unlock one chapter each day at a specific time. It's convenient to know that every story you're reading has a new chapter available at once, but some individuals (me) don't have the patience to wait an entire day for a single chapter. I love the stories, some I can really get into even if it’s just a romance. So many different authors giving good story lines. I have read so many of the books here and I didn’t at first like the long wait but it was ok because I don’t need to sit around all day reading. The points system WAS ok also and most of the time I would buy points just so I could read on but now on one story I’m ready the points went from 10 points to 16 and now 22. What’s worse than that is you can’t read the next chapter for 22 hours unless you use the 22 points. To me that is ridiculous. This really makes me upset at the way Galatea has changed things from bad to worse. I can’t afford to pay for points when the amount goes up so high. I once bought the 100 points and used them all to finish a book but the points for each chapter was 10, the book was really good and I didn’t want to wait. I can’t do that now if it’s gonna cost me 22 points a chapter or more. It was bad enough to wait 6 hrs but that isn’t as bad as having to wait a whole day. You say it’s to help your authors so maybe more people will pay for membership but I can’t afford the price of that. That’s why I read the other way. I’m afraid you will lose more readers by changing the amount of the points, because I’m tired of watching the same ads all the time over and over to get more points too. They take up your time also. Why change a good thing?

It's either we have more chapters unlock at that time (for me they unlock at 7am everyday why not have 2-3 chapters unlocked at that time) or have chapters unlock every few hours (like one chapter at 7am, then another at 12pm, then one more 5pm...and so on). I would love to get in contact with you guys about the ideas you can put but I don't do audio calls like in the app u suggest as a way to earn points. I was planning on keeping this review short but it ended up long.

I would highly recommend the app to people who loves romance novels, the only thing that bothers me is the wait to read the novels, I understand that you don’t want the readers to read the whole book in a day but 24 hours to wait for a chapter is too much

This app is such a good one; i have difficulties finding good reading apps and this one takes the cake. i love the books i’ve started. the only thing that sucks is that you have to wait around 6 hours to read one chapter, and when you do have points, you use them up so fast.

Addicting stories, hate to wait

I love this app: it gives me something to read everyday and some of these stories are amazing. It’s addicting really. Worth the shot to look into. You’ll thank me later ;)

I love that we get a free chapter every 6 hours. I would prefer that we would earn more than 1 point every day though. But the books are amazing.

J’adore mais je trouve que ses long entre chaque épisode si faut j’attende des heure et qu’on est pas des façon d’avoir des point ses un peut chiant mais si j’adore les histoires

Traduction assez bonne et variété importante. Si vous êtes bon lecteur, vous pouvez suivre plusieurs histoires gratuitement à petites doses tous les jours. Point négatif… ia pour les livres audio bogue des fois et reste coincé sur une voyelle ou change d’accent.

I didn't mind the wait in between reading chapters, however I did just decide to purchase the yearly unlimited rate as a gift to myself. However, with the latest update, it no longer gives me that option - it only opens up for purchases chapters. I downloaded the app to my computer to see if it would work there, however the app doesn't even open at all. Please fix this as prior to the latest update, it always showed me the option to purchase the yearly subscription.

I am addicted to these stories they are all great I just can’t get enough! The only issue I do have is the amount of time it takes to unlock the next chapter.

This app is worse than Netflix. The books are designed to get you hooked and keep you there until you’ve read the whole book! Negatives; the writing isn’t the best (lots of grammatical errors) and often the books feel like they are repetitive and repeating themselves.

Galatea is a good reading app for all the genres you want it's interesting and doesn’t make you pay all you have to do is create an account. The only thing that i mind annoying is when you want to read a new story they give you the first 4 chapters and if you want to wait for the next chapter you have to wait 6 hours

This app is actually pretty awesome and the chapters and stories are quite long. I enjoy the fact you don’t have to wait in order to finish the chapter you’re on. It’s a great app! Amazing characters that capture you right in!

This app is amazing! Soo many good books to read and so much variety! I really recommend Galatea if you’re searching for a good reading app. The only downside is how long you have yo wait for chapters to unlock and there’s almost no way to get points any other way than the daily check in.

I’ve had and used this app for a couple of years now. When at first u could get points by only watching 1 ad a day for 2 points or commenting for 1 point a day. Then they added the feature of watching 10 a day for 2 points each. I feel that was when the app was at its peak. Now we can’t get points in anyway but buying them they even took away the point you would get for commenting, they couldn’t even let us keep that 1 point. And that is completely inconsiderate to the people who want to enjoy these stories but don’t have the funds. Especially the books that you can’t read at all without subscribing and most of the books that fall into said category are sequels so your already invested in this story and now you physically cannot read it without money. I feel that’s unfair to those who can’t just spend money on reading apps like this. And before when u could only watch 1 add a day you still only had to wait till 7am the next day or 6 hours depending on when u had the app. But now there are ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS wait times. The longest I’ve had was 36 HOURS that is absolutely insane especially now that I can’t get points without spending buttloads of money. I am a long time user of this app and I’ve loved many of the stories I’ve read but I’m considering deleting it after I finish the books I’m currently reading. Unfortunately it will take awhile because all of them have wait times of 20+ hours. It’s ridiculous, I am very disappointed in this most recent update.

The wait period of 24 hours to read a chapter that honestly takes like 2-3 minutes to read if even is ridiculous. It should be shorter or give your readers the option to write a review or watch an ad (do like 5 a day) to continue reading on. The stories are great and make you want to keep reading but to have to pay to continue or wait 24 HOURS is a bit absurd. Definitely should look into changing that!

I am rewriting my review of this app as there has been changes being made that has caused my opinion to change. I currently have a full membership, that by the way costs approximately $84 CAD annually. In this membership it gives you access to unlimited books. The books on this application have been amazing. I enjoyed the membership for the first year and halfway through the second year. During the second year glitches began to occur were the books would not be available when they said they would be, also crashing site where trouble with downloading occurred. Now, the problem is that when a book comes out this site only releases the first few chapters then at the last chapter it says will continue next whatever day of the week they say and 8/10 times it does not appear. The authors have said they send in the completed versions of their books and this is the site that is doing this. So currently I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP UNTIL FIXED!!!!!

Frustrating to wait so long for more chapters. I can’t justify paying $85 for the lifetime Membership in one payment. Yes it’s worth it I’m sure but I can’t do it. Points for more chapters are hard to earn Once you exasperate the options initially.

“Watch ad to unlock next chapter” — will not work. Don’t bother with this app as it won’t let you continue very far.

Could be good. Has some decent works on there including some from watty (another reading app). It’s different waiting times which is nice as not all are 24h. However it’s still long ish waits and would definitely like to see more ways to get points besides paying or social media

From what I’ve seen so far and used it, it seems like a decent app but it sucks for free chapters and it doesn’t even have a monthly pay model to join, it wants you to pay a full year subscription pfft like please - no thanks! Even Netflix and Amazon have a monthly sub 😒

It would be great if there was other option to get point for reading other than having to purchase them. The story is good but … would like more options
