Great games here is some suggestions to make it better!I love everything about this and I’d buy this game if it was a one time purchase, I’d even pay 20-30 for it. I’m not subscribing to a sudoku game though. I think ads during a battle is not a great idea…(during and after is fine) I’m assuming that’s not supposed to happen and I’d appreciate if you fixed this issue. I’d also appreciate adds In between games instead of during. Please fix this. When filling in the little numbers with the pencil individually, it won’t let you add a number that cannot go in the box. This prevents you from making a mistake while trying to solve the puzzle. You should be able to pencil in what numbers you think go in an empty box even if they are wrong. You should be able to battle people you know (like how you can send a puzzle you’ve done to someone else which is awesome addition, but real time).Ineverwritethese8Version: 4.18.2

Oakever quickly fixed a problem I had encounteredI’ve been using this app for a long time, and play many times a day. Over time, they made a lot of visual changes that are distracting, including a flashing effect (suddenly expanding and contracting numbers) when you solve the game - an effect that can trigger migraines. I wrote a poor review complaining about this, and quickly got a message of concern from Oakever asking me to reach out to their support team with a detailed description so they could take it up with the design team. Before I finished composing a note to the support team, I found they’d already fixed the problem! The game is much more comfortable to play now, and I don’t need to worry about taking a migraine preventative before playing it. Fun GameI love that there are different levels of difficulty and daily challenges. It makes it so much better for me. I also appreciate that you only get ads before and after you play a round, instead of during the round like other sudoku games do. I’ve gotten to a point where I can just zone out while playing the medium and many of the hard levels, and really appreciate the smart hints on the expert levels when I get confused, it’s taught me so much. I am really confused on what the tickets are for though. They appear as a prize but I haven’t been able to figure out where they come in handy. If I had to choose one thing that could be added to this app, it would be an explanation for the tickets. Like a pebble in fantastic shoes, its hard to ignore the little thingsI really like this app because it not only made sudoku feel less taxing to finish but it even helped me learn to solve more difficult puzzles. From the dark mode, having the option of it penciling in all the numbers for you, i just really like how this app functions. I found a new love for sudoku here. And it’s because of this that i hesitate to delete it and move on to another, but i’m very tempted to for one simple reason. Every time a little message pops up saying “good job!” Or “you’re halfway there!” Its very jarring and shakes me out of my focus. I get some people would find that motivating but i just lose my flow and get distracted. Please PLEASE make this an optional feature, one i could turn off. One annoying problemThis would have been excellent if it weren’t for this one annoying bug: I play with all candidates auto-filled as a starting point, but no automatic notes during the game. I then gradually manually remove candidates during the game. The issue in this app is that I often accidentally press the toggle for auto-candidates (right in the middle of the screen next to the note/response toggle, which I have to touch all the time), and then all the candidates reappear and I have no way of tracing my steps to remove again candidates that I have already removed. Fantastic except…There’s a candy crush ad that pops up randomly. Don’t get me wrong, I expect ads on most apps at this point, so I don’t mind them, but this one breaks the whole app. The CC ad will pop up, mid-game, and no close button will appear. You are stuck on the ad indefinitely. If you try to play through the ad, it will open a new safari window to download candy crush. You can close that, but when you go back to the sudoku app, it’s just a black screen. You have to close everything and re-open the app to keep playing (of course, you have to watch another ad to start the game you were forced to pause). I’m still giving 4 stars because this wasn’t a problem when I first started playing, so clearly it’s a bug that needs fixing. Great design but app is a scamI love sudoku but it is a scam please read: Their timed events are the best part about the app. You get to see how high you rank based on each level you pass. The numbers of players are NOT accurate. They are fake numbers which makes me not want to play at all. We do not know how many people are actually playing. Here is how I know: Before the game was starting in my time zone I changed the time in my settings to see how many players already started based off of different countries and time differences. I went to this app and the event said the amount of participants were around 20,000 then later in the day I did it again to see how many now and it was less than 8,000 total participants. Please explain this? Why would there be less people over time if the amount of people playing can only go up? This is in addition to the horrific amount of ads. This is just disappointing. They need to understand what the users like and need in an app and listen to them AND CHANGE. As someone who works in user experience you NEED to listen to all these reviews and make it a more genuine app. There’s a reason candy crush was so big, they were one of the few gaming apps that truly listened to what their users need and in turn users trusted the app. Be honest to your users. PERFECT WIN GONE? What?This is the best app for sudoku.. hands down. They have implemented few more technologies in the past months and each single sudoku including the extreme are solvable by their hints. BUT they have removed “perfect wins” it’s when you don’t do any mistake AND don’t use any clue. It’s simply perfect.. now they have removed and just when with “no mistake win” that’s just a joke… when you are stuck… you ask for an hint and you are unblocked.. so everyone will do “ no mistake wins” I was top 1% of perfect win on extreme and now this is gone… why? Give me one single reason why you would remove perfect wins. Great SudokuI really like this app. Only one complaint about the various special type events. There are two commercials after one game. For instance, the early event games begin on easy mode. So when take your 45 seconds to solve it, there is a commercial and then when you return to the event page and hit play, you immediately get another commercial. So it winds up something like this: commercial on game completion. Another commercial after hitting play for the next level, followed by a one minute game and then two more commercials before you can play the next level. The best Sudoku-battle mode—but 90-second long ads make it unplayable.I tried every sudoku app in the iOS App Store and many more in windows App Store and this is the best Sudoko app. However during the last few days I have gotten a series of 70 to 90 second long ads that cannot be reported or opt out of in any way except to close the game app. These make the game unplayable and I refuse to watch 90-second ad for any app. I will close the app but the ads keep coming back. Making it worse is the fact these are ads for solitaire games which you play for money. I will not watch these and there also illegal in my state. Smooth game playI have used a number of different sudoku apps now and this is the best one that I have played. Easy to navigate and play. And the buttons click well on my screen and have none of those hit the button 6 times to get it to accept the numerical input. Which causes all kinds of mistakes and issues, but worst of all is the extra time it takes to play a game. This games mechanics are smooth and has nice visual appeal. And like the fast pencil option. I don’t normally use it, but if you are in a time crunch it can help get in a game and spend little time doing it. It’s a very nice option for those with a busy schedule. Ads DON’T interrupt gameplay!! (Happy)A big reason why I fall out of apps like this is due to the repeating carousel of ads embedded within the game. It ruins the experience. I understand that developers need to make money, but their use of ads is incessant to the point it’s infuriating. This app, however, has a very reasonable and acceptable amount of ads whose placement don’t affect the game :) The pop-ups are predictable and the showtime isn’t 20+ seconds. Great app, but way too many adsI got this game because I love sudoku and I wanted to be able to play it on my phone. I think this app is the best most sudoku app out there I like that you can play whatever level you want right away, because most sudoku apps you have to play all the easy one to unlock the hard ones. The only issue I have is all the ads. I understand that it is your only way of income because the app is free, but you get a 30 second ad every time you go into a different page. Best sudoku appI love this app, the smart hints are amazing. However, I find that each time I learn a strategy, I’ll forget how it works by the next time it pops up so. It would be really cool if you could develop a practice mode for each technique where you’re presented with different penciled-in puzzles that always have a particular technique set up somewhere, and your only goal is to find the pattern and utilize the technique. For instance you could say you want to practice finned swordfish and you get shown a bunch of different puzzles with that pattern in an otherwise incomplete puzzle. I absolutely love this game!This is the game that I play the most every single day! It has the perfect amount of challenge and various difficulty levels so as you get better you can challenge yourself more. You can also keep track of your progress with the record scoring. Love the game...I love the game, but there is one thing that I would love for the app developers to consider. Since iOS 14 came out, I am able to use my Apple Pencil to draw the numbers in the boxes; however, the app doesn’t recognize the number I am drawing in the box. Just an Idea + too many adsI just learned how to play Soduku from this app which is amazing. The only downside is the constant ads, every like 5 minutes I get an ad, it just gets a little annoying. It would also be cool to add an option to cross out boxes while you are trying to figure out where a number goes than you place it like you would normally and then remove all the “X”s in the boxes and continue. I just feel like that would help me complete the puzzle easier without the constant mistakes and then having to watch an ad to fix that 1 mistake. CONs outweigh the PROs!I loved this when working East & Medium games because of immediate feedback via tones and because if the board didn’t accept an entry it forced user to look for a reason. But when working the Hard games it accepted wrong moves until later I’d find spaces with no options. There’s a place to check for hints but too often it would play an AD instead! Another problem is there’s no way to “CHECK ENTRIES” as you work through the games. I’m tired of tik tok telling me I have over 2046 viruses on my phone every time I touch the link for hints. Used to be Great, now a rip off for subscribers!!This was my favorite game app, then greedy developers changed it so that even paying subscribers like myself have to watch endless videos of terrible game advertisements we aren't interested in. My experienceIve played this game for a good amount of years i have my hours just playing sudoku over a hundred hours total, ads are friendly here,this game has treated me well, i can consistently do extreme levels under 4 minutes now weekly best is 2 minutes now, this game is good. Compared to all the others, I prefer the way this game highlights notes when numbers are selected (press & held), I prefer the way this game switches to the next valid number from the row when you enter the last of a (the 9th) number into the puzzle, i prefer that this game allows me to skip over the last 8-9 entries, when it’s wrapped up and you don’t feel like entering the last gimmes. Okay sudoku app, but why does it paste?Interface is pretty good for a mobile sudoku app. Will display ads mid game if you switch back and forth to other apps. I don't see most of the ads people complain about because I have a pi-hole at home and refuse cellular service to this app, just other games from the same company from time to time. Weirdest thing is that if I have something in my clipboard when I load the app, it pastes it. There's no keyboard interface at all. Where are you pasting and why? Love the challenges/boosts, but ads :/I love this game and the challenge levels! I also greatly appreciate the opportunity to watch an ad for hints and pencils. Fun gameMay be the best sudoku app. Lots to like about this one. I like that we can change the background colors to be dark, and especially like that it can match your phone settings. I also like that it tells you how many of each numbers are left. And I like that I can long press a number and that will set it be “number first”. I like that I don’t have to change it as a setting. Most of the time I like to select the cell first. It’s only occasionally that I want to do number first, so it’s great that I don’t have to go into settings just for that once in a blue moon setting. Smart hints are great. I love that it will teach you techniques as it tells you what you’re missing. Too many ads and hints don’t work well 😢Wayyy too many ads and some of them I have to close out of three or more times, while others will take me directly to the App Store when I try to close out of it (which should NOT be allowed at all). Sometimes the hints won’t work at all. I like being able to use hints to help me learn, but if I’ve filled in my own numbers using the pencil and I’m able to eliminate some of the numbers, it’ll automatically add in those numbers I’ve been able to eliminate! Long time player but new problem!I love this game, the battles, the dailies, the events. All great. But recently I’ll be playing an every 30 seconds my phone changes over to safari for an ad for iPad Pro from cloud front, a scam website. Wake-Up my BRAINI would’ve given 5 stars & most definitely will “AFTER” I figure out how to utilize symbols/words at the bottom of the game. Excellent versionI love this version of sudoku because of the hints it offers when you get stuck. The hints explain step by step how they deduce the correct numbers and provides the names of the different types of strategies used. This allows me to finish every game and learn skills in the process. Search GokuGoku is so fun I love it it made me better at math too. I know that may seem weird but it did. I love it especially because I love challenges I completed all of them. Love this app!I’ve downloaded a lot of sudoku apps and so many of them have 10-20 seconds of adds between each game and when you say you didn’t want to watch ad for a hint they would make you watch one anyways but this app doesn’t do any of that at all. This is my favorite sudoku app, but it bothers me..This sudoku app is truly my favorite... but every time I use it I get ANNOYED. The ads are ATROCIOUS!?! There is an ad before AND after each game, AS WELL an ad if you pause and resume... it's TOO MUCH, not to meantion the tiny ad at the bottom of your screen as you're playing too. I’ll be honest, there is NO way I'm going to pay 2 dollars WEEKLY to get rid of the ads. So I’m just suffering with them. I also want to mention the online feature that you’re NOT ABLE to turn off. So anyone (strangers) who are online at the same time you are will see that you’re actively playing and online. They then can send you battle requests.. I’m being SPAMMED with battle requests. Why am I not allowed to hide my activity status.. let alone the fact people can request battles when ever they want putting a pop down notification on your screen.. Why isn’t there a filtration system like a requests folder of something? You can turn off your WiFi/internet access if you want to play offline, BUT then you aren’t able to access tourney status, which leads me to believe that the points you earn aren’t being counted towards your tourney score just because you’re offline. Developers please make it betterIt has ridiculous modes that don’t make any sense like how shockwaves in ice mode didn’t break the ice. Battles are way to hard, don’t know if it’s adaptable or not. If it is, developers have overdid it, making the battles either too hard or easy. I have battled two times and it is at a level where I have to guess numbers in order to even have a chance to win. 16x16 isn’t even sudoku anymore, this game makes sudoku look trash. Special modes like killer and ice also isn’t sudoku so they shouldn’t even be part of the game! I’m very disappointed, think you should make it more simple for it to be traditional sudoku, the way it should be. Also, events doesn’t even do me any good. Another thing is you shouldn’t remind everyone if they make a mistake. If you do this, it will engage people to guess more, which shouldn’t be the way sudoku is played. Hints and other cheats loses meaning to sudoku and shouldn’t even be a thing. New Update Brought Intrusive AdsSo I downloaded this app a few weeks ago and it had quickly become a favorite. But today when I opened it to do my daily puzzle I was slapped upside the head with an ad as soon as I hit daily puzzle. There is now a banner ad at the bottom of the puzzle screen. And an ad as soon as I finish a puzzle. At first I thought it was just on the daily puzzle, which would have been annoying but I would deal with it. No. Whenever I open any puzzle there are ads. 30 second unskippable ones. I did not agree to nor sign up for seeing this many ads when I downloaded this app. Previously I only needed to see one when I ask for it for an extra life in a puzzle. So I come over here to see if there's something new that happened and low and behold we have an update. That only lists "bug fixes" as what has changed. Why?!I loved this game so much before, but this update... I don't know how long ago it was, but what have you done? You've simply ruined the game for me and made it for kids. It used to be so nice to enter numbers, the interface itself, everything was nice and for the right audience. You Screwed this Game UpRecently, you started charging us to play the battle, which is the only fun part of this game. But you really screwed it up. You charge 3X tickets more to play the Master level than the Normal level so now I can’t ever win anymore. I suspect it’s because all the really good players who were playing the master level don’t want to spend 3X more to play so they are now playing the normal level. Also, you get a certain number of free tickets every day, except if you actually spend money and buy tickets. In that case, you don’t get the free tickets added on every day. This isn’t fair. ComplaintsThough I enjoy sudoku and I’ve been playing on this app for a good while, the amount of adds that pop up are irritating, to get around I just didn’t allow the app to use cellular data in my settings and turn off my WiFi to play. The new update involving the appearance changing is actually eye cancer and it looks big and the numbers look like they are all in one big box instead of 9 separate boxes. It’s hard to differentiate the columns and rows. Next is the music bug, the app would randomly pause my music and I would have to press play over and over again (which I got around by not allowing the app to use cellular data) which is annoying and it breaks my focus. Would be great … but …I get it, if you want less ads, get premium. I can tolerate the ads but at this point, there is a bug or something. Horrible at basic stuffY’all know there’s a level between medium and expert, right? I like the hard level puzzles but every day you either give me a medium and I have to say it’s too easy, or jump it up to an expert and I have to say it’s too hard (for the relaxing puzzle experience I prefer) only for the next day to be another medium puzzle, so I say too easy, the next day? Airplane mode only.Great app, but only in airplane mode (and has helped me survive many flights). Unfortunately this app is unusable with an internet connection, the ads are often a minute long and there’s often no way to get rid of them without being taken to the App Store to download some additional app. Sometimes there’s a teeny button that is obscured in the corner (impossible to see if you’re on a phone rather than an iPad) and maybe 30% of the time the button is missing. Loses your hard earned dataI have been play8ng this game for years. I used to have a 5 star rating however mid-May of 2025, all my data was zeroed out. In the process I discovered that syncing your data was restricted to the number of games you played and some of your rewards. It did NOT include all the tournaments you’ve been in or the dozens of first or second places you’ve gathered. Years of gameplay gone in an update with the response “oops, our bad”, then being ignored. It seems that not only was the data loss a fault, but even the storage or sync option that we give away permissions to have apparently are not tested nor cover what you might like saved. I suspected this issue earlier when syncing from my phone to my iPad dint include any of the tournaments, but to have years of them “thrown away” is pretty depressing. Malicious AdsFavorite app for actual sudoku gameplay, but horrible ad practices. Contains ads that force you to interact with it (play a preview of a different y game) which is terrible. I was playing and my phone, by itself without me touching anything, left this app and opened my internet app and took me to a spam threat site that said my phone had been hacked and they’ll leak data unless I pay a fee. I will never do business with an app developer that does business with spam ad sites like that. So disappointed in the developer. Other ads sometimes have timers and sometimes don’t. Remove the ads, speed up the gameThis is the best and worst Sudoku app I’ve found. The features of the games are great with the daily challenges, theme challenges and battles (except the obvious bots). However, the amount of ads on the app slow down the performance of my iPad, which happens to be a brand new, 9th Generation iPad that I purchased directly from Apple. Can barely play sudokuI loved this app. Everyday would play it and didnt really mind the ads. But now it’s unbearable. Good Sudoku, Awful MonetizationThe app itself is good, and in my short time playing, I learned a bit about Sudoku strategy. My issue is that the ads are extremely intrusive. The ads are not banners during gameplay. I received full-screen ads where I was required to interact with them multiple times, and often required to click a link to go to the App Store for the advertised app to get them to close.
