WindHub: Sailing Weather Customer Service

I just wish that there was a way to look at an hourly forecast like windy has, also being able to change to a dark mode would be nice. So really just a few more customization options would be awesome. Another good one might be the option for military time or 12 am hours 12 pm hours.

Just keeps saying an error has occurred while obtaining the forecast. Retry. Nothing wrong with my internet connection.

Get it … these kids are hands on and there to help. I watched the webinar .. it was helpful … most impressive.. they are building a great platform for traveling the oceans!

I’m not looking for sailing winds. I like somewhat calm days. This sailing app is ‘A’ number one!

You can same info free on windy and there is no option to delete your subscription.

The 2.9 version crashes immediately upon startup on both my iPhone XS and iPad Pro. Both devices have the latest iOS. Please fix as I find this app useful. Thanks for the hint as that worked. Good support and useful app. Thanks!

I’m not to keen on the app. Radar is not accurate and it’s been pouring rain here for the past 20 minutes and the radar screen shows a light rain blob a few miles away and nothing else while other apps are showing all the rain pouring now. What is shown is just blobs. It’s cumbersome to use. I do appreciate the tide and swell data but I can get that from my other 2 apps I use for weather. I’m not sure if this app is for continental US use. I’ll try weather routing, but guesstimate is fine as the charts are definitely not something I’d actually rely on for navigation. Maybe for ocean crossings? I’m trying to make good use of it but it isn’t living up to the hype. I hope it makes a positive difference for others. In response to developer: thank you for the reply. I already use Windy as one of my 2 primary sources. By continental, I mean: within the USA waters. I’m not sure I would rely on routing using those maps to safely avoid underwater hazards or even rocks and islands. So I’m not understanding the emphasis on charts usage. I checked it out against my chartplotter and it did not match up. So, I say it’s better for larger crossings with deep waters where there is much less chance of hitting small islands or rocks. I hope this clarified. Thank you for replying.

I made a huge mistake by trusting these developers and paid $60 for a software that is completely useless. You have to kill the app every 2 minutes because all you will see is a huge error screen. It takes reloading the app 5 times so that MAYBE you will see something for the next 10 minutes. Right after purchasing the app I initiated a refund request but apple refuses to refund. I still cant understand how can they scam buyers like that and get away with this. Stay away. Search for reddit post about this app and you will see hundreds of complains about the same issue that uses post for months. So its not something new.. they know the issue but still refuse to refund.

May 31 feedback. Thanks for the feedback on my review. Front and wind barbs would be most appreciated on the free version. These are basic weather functions that I would like to see when taking an extended kayak trip (I will go about 6 to 10 miles in an 8 foot kayak). I do understand data costs and there is no such thing as a free lunch but frontal positions are not updated that frequently. Wind barbs, I use the Windy app as it covers my aviation and nautical needs. You got a great windy app. This does seem to duplicate that app in many ways of which I ended up going back to. ——————— ORIGINAL Review below. Requires in app purchase to view fronts and wind barbs. As is, can only view winds and wind gusts of which your other app Windy covers that.

I have enjoyed using this app. I sail. Exactly what I need. So much that I subscribed to the annual plan. Since that upgrade the app freezes every time I open it. So bummed. Yes, I have turned it off and back on. Reinstalled. If I can get this to work like it did before I subscribed, I would highly recommend this app!

We rely on this app to get around in our sailboat in the Atlantic. Since the last update the app is crashing every other time I use it, when I try to select a starting point for a route. I thought this would be more reliable after paying the subscription. I have an iPhone 17 pro.

My app keeps freezing up and when you click on support, it takes you to the web version of the map. I love all the info that it can give, this app is going in the right direction. Please update

Their seems to be an issue with the program crashing every time I open it up on my I pad. I restart and a can use it for a little bit then it crashes. I have deleted the app and reinstalled the app and it does the same thing. Not sure how to talk to someone about this issue

There is no way to import routes from other apps. The routes you do create are not available on other devices. So if I create something on my iPad I can’t view it on my iPhone. Poor design. I assume that the people that did the software are not actually sailors.

I only used the app for 15 minutes and now a year charge has hit my credit card. Please tell me how to receive a refund. Thank you.

It requires you to pay $80 to change the forecast model. The default one isn’t accurate in my area making the entire app useless.

It said there was an update, so I went in and did it. Now the old version is not showing wave heights and the new version locks up the second you open it.

Great app, but the premium subscription version kept crashing and unable to use it. Tried restarts, different network, reinstall, no change. Happy to pay if it work.

No wind info (like overlayed direction patterns) on map itself...no wave info. This isn't anything near ready for prime time for boat captains.

App freezes right after opening, will delete and reinstall and see if that fixes it.

But it keeps crashing everytime I try to open it.

Perhaps it’s user error but the app locks after loading 9 out of 10 times. I have given all permissions I know to the program.

This app does not give the information it is suppose to. I requested a refund but don’t know if I’ll get it. Don’t buy. Better info other places

Not willing to do a “Free” trial so no wind of info. Therefore ONE STAR is what this app deserves based on the product they actually delivered to me. Not based on what they say it will do, but rather what the app actually did.

App is absolute dog water. The developer asks for screen shots of where this thing freezes. It’s on every boot up. Whoever y’all are using for QA and UAT should be fired.

Don't purchase. You cannnot cancel till after the first year!!

Maps do not match advertising

It’s not worth a $1.00 it nothing on it everything’s being tested looks like to me you started selling a little to soon.

Downloaded fine. Opened app works for 3 sec max then freezes.

Hello, I am very happy with the Windy.app and loaded Wind Hub thinking it would be good to compare the two on my new iPad. The windy.app and subscription work flawlessly. Upon install of WindHub and a new subscription it launches and then locks up and is unresponsive. Uninstall and re install and it still locks up and remains unresponsive. Very disappointing. Any help is welcome because I cannot find anything referencing this issue in a the FAQ.

The marine chart overlay is not working at all. Deleted app and reloaded, reset phone…etc still not working. App support asked for a video of me pressing button, sent multiple pics with highlighted chart button, so not sure what a video will do to rectify the issue? Very disappointed with support and app, as I use this for my business daily. Unless fixed, waste of 60.00.

How is WindHub different from Windy? It looks like you are repackaging Windy and charging more / again. I suggest you incorporate this map-based forecast under the sailing section of “Windy”.

They send you a renewal the same day ur supposed to cancel it so when you do cancel it the payment goes though. I did not renew the app because it’s garbage it is not accurate and a waste of you want a get app for the ocean get Navionics

Offered a 7 day free trial but charged me for a full year immediately.

L’app n’est pas fait pour le Quebec ne perdez pas votre temps. Dommage l’app semblait facile a utiliser et parfaite pour la navigation de plaisance.

Took my money for a whole year after I cancelled my free 1 week plan, doesn’t show when the storms are coming in where I live, Nortbern Canada. Plz don’t download and get ripped off like me.

I can’t see how you can lay a course track in. How is this app different than windy ?
