Stories are too expensive to read. I keep getting drawn to this app because of an ad that pops up on instagram but then read the reviews & it reminds me why I deleted it. I had no problem walking away from stories I was enjoying (despite the many grammatical errors). Sorry small authors. There is a reader app (Galatea) that has annual subscription rate for true unlimited access to stories, other reader apps that, like this one, charges coins but at least they offer 500/$4.99 if I don’t feel like spending $9.99 AND the chapters are a reasonable amount of coins to get through considering some chapters are just a few pages. I’m starting to prefer buying from the author, like 8 books in a bundle for like $35-$50 then use the reader app, BookFunnel. WAY LESS expensive, full books that are well edited, lots of genres. These reader apps need to remember that there are LOTS of them out there & the stories are all similar. If I’m going to spend my time and MONEY they need to be as quality focused as possible, reasonably priced on chapters when books have 300+ teeny chapters versus real books that cost less, are better edited, & already completed. This one is too focused on getting my money for low quality. Small authors may want to consider writing for other apps or publishing themselves for BookFunnel.

I recently downloaded this book app. They have a large variety of fiction novels. From what I see so far, most books have the first couple chapters unlocked. Some have more chapters unlocked then others. You do need to use coins to unlock the rest of the chapters. You can purchase more or earn them by various ways. Such as, signing in every day (they increase), watching ads, or linking your email. The do have books in the app that are free to read. I'm still learning which ones are completely free. It's fairly easy to go to the table of contents to look up all the chapters and see which ones are locked. They also have group chats with daily redemption codes, book suggestions, favorite author, etc. The app itself is very user friendly. Easy to find new books to read and browse by various categories. I do wish it was easier to read the summery of these books before you open it up to the first chapter. I click on a book to see it for the first time and the first chapter opens up immediately. Then I try to click on the very top for the tool bar to open so I can check the chapters and summary. The tool bar doesn't always open right away. It usually takes me a couple clicks.

I love the variety of stories available on the app and I’ve started reading several different ones, but this whole premise using coins to unlock chapters really bothers me. Sure, you can complete small tasks or come back every day to earn bonus coins, but if you are a binge reader, you will go insane with how slowly you have to read a book if you go solely based on bonus coins. If you decide to buy coins to unlock chapters, you run into the problem of paying WAY too much for a book that isn’t edited very well or sometimes, just poorly written. And you never know how much a book will end up costing you. In one book I’m reading on the app, I unlocked one chapter for 27 coins. The very next chapter was 66 coins!!! I still think the stories available are entertaining, but I wish there was a way to buy a book outright or at least know how much you’re going to spend on a book… but I guess if the app was that transparent, no one would use it. Bottom line: The app has some good stories, but be aware and proceed with caution.

My review of this app is extremely positive. The bonuses are great and more generous than other apps. The customer service is outstanding and answers you almost immediately! I love that you can buy subscriptions for unlimited access, not all apps do this. When on similar apps, that I've now deleted, it can get costly to buy small amounts, but the unlimited access is very reasonable. Plus you get an entire library of books of all different genres. I love the stories, and they are really good about having all of the sequels. For example, there is a book with two additional books in the series, I paid 40$ on Kindle, only to find the stories here, and much less expensive when buying a subscription. It is such a great deal. The authors upload new chapters all the time! All around a great app to get lost in after work or a long weekend. I'd be embarrassed to admit how often I return to this app!

The AnyStories Book app has tons of different stories and novels to choose from and is easy to use. In my opinion it’s a good choice to start out with if this is the type of reading you like to do. So far I’ve seen everything from mafia boss romance novels to werewolf novels and more in between. This means there is surely a topic/genre for everyone. I myself haven’t looked through every genre on the app yet, but the ones I have looked at have been enough to catch my interest. I really like that the stories are easy to read, and that you can read through them by flipping the pages like a physical book. To me this seems like it makes it easier to focus on the story since your attention can’t wander further down the page and miss out on details that we’re quickly skimmed over. Most stories and novels on the app have the first 3-4 chapters available to read for free. After that you need to use coins, which is the currency used in the app, to unlock the following chapters or in some cases novels. In some cases it can cost as much as 30coins to unlock a chapter, so it is kind of pricey if your coins are a limited supply because of cash flow. The coins are fairly easy to come by if you don’t mind paying for them, otherwise you can receive daily login rewards, watch ads, and join the AnyStories announcement group on WhatsApp for codes to receive free coins. The only issue I’ve seen so far, in my opinion, that could be fixed or made easier to navigate would be acquiring the coins to unlock chapters and some novels. Either increasing the amount of coins received daily for logging in and watching ads, or slightly decrease the prices of unlocking chapters. This would make it more likely for more people to want to use the app. Because from my personal experience I’d you don’t have the money to buy more coins, you have to wait a day or two to earn enough free coins to unlock a single chapter if you want to continue a story. Otherwise you’re stuck reading several free chapters but never get to finish a story unless it’s one that’s fully free for every chapter.

I love all the different types of stories about shifters. I’ve been reading this app for about two years now it takes me away puts me in a whole New World. I’ve told my friends about it and recommended it. I wish we can get more coins when we’re reading for so long because it takes several days to get enough coins to read one chapter. That’s the only complaint I really have oh and then that some author stop writing because some problems between the app creator, and I’ll be invested in that story then I spent money on coins, and now I’ve read this book or an entire series that I cannot finish because the author decided to stop writing, and I have to go to a different platform to finish. The book is kind of disappointing also.

UPDATE: I am still enjoying the app. HOWEVER, I do have two recommendations that would make my experience so much better: (1) darken any screenshots taken rather than post a 5 limit warning. I have never had a screenshot taken accidentally until this app. I literally set my phone down on my desk, walked away to grab coffee to come back with a warning. This type of thing has happened like four times now. There are a lot of apps out there that don’t allow screen recording or screenshots and it just gives you a black screen. That would be so much better; (2) I love the new updates regarding the notifications for interactive messages. Now users can see what book our comment is from. It would be fantastic if we could click the notification and go straight to our comment in the book or at least reveal what chapter our comment was in. I ended up subscribing two months in a row because there were plenty of stories that sucked me in. There are some amazing writers on this platform. It’s pricy, but worth it compared to how much it would cost to pay per book/chapter that you’re interested in. I also LOVE that you can add comments on the paragraphs or chapters of the novel you’re reading. It makes the experience so much better to have fellow readers along with you.

I’ve tried/used a lot of different reading apps and this is hands down one of the best out there! I love the monthly subscription- as a quick reader it’s way more cost effective. There is also a huge variety of stories to choose from, I’m constantly finding new books everyday. The only down side is that sometimes the app promotes books that are not complete and then the authors take sooooo long to finish the story. There’s one book in my library that I’ve been reading for over a year and it’s still marked as “ongoing.” It would be nice if abandoned books were labeled as such or maybe removed all together; as a reader, it’s frustrating to get invested and then never get an ending. With that being said I’ve just changed the way i search for stories, i only read books marked as complete.

I love reading books here. There’s such a wide variety and the books are always great. It’s also awesome to interact with other people who are reading the book in real time with you and even the authors as well! However there’s no way to figure out what book comments you’re replying to when people respond to your comment. There’s only a “notifications” section but it won’t take you to the actual comment you made. It shows you what the person said but if it’s been too long and you don’t remember what you said or even the book you left a comment on then there’s no way to get back to the original comment to see everything that’s happened. It’s kind of a bummer🫤

Do you love to read, this is the app for you. Download free novels on werewolves, romance, witches, good/bad, evil. You can even decide how juicy you want your stories to be, rated PG, R or even leave nothing to the imagination and go X-rated. Check in daily to get coins, you can purchase if you decide to read a novel that is not free or just accumulate the free coins to open the chapters until you have downloaded enough to read. Many ways to get novels! The only thing I don’t like is when authors write books with thousands of chapters. There should be a cap, if you can’t wrap up a story in a few hundred chapters you most likely have too many tangents happening (which could be additional books), or you are repeating behaviors of characters. Wrap it up for readers!!

I like the books I’ve started, but that’s the only good thing so far. I don’t like the amount of coins required to unlock chapters. I understand the necessity, but going for 30 coins to unlock a chapter up to 90+ for the next is ridiculous. Add that to the fact that my coins disappear, or that I can only earn a handful of coins each day is very frustrating. I check in daily and watch the videos, etc. and I had 101 coins, used 35 to open a chapter, read for an hour to collect the 6, 14, & 30 coins. I haven’t unlocked any new chapters and am magically down to only 40 coins. This is why I prefer NovelFlow. I guess I’ll go see if I can find some of these stories there.

First love the stories but I’ve been having issues using the unlock characters option the thing will show a pure black page no add no way out you have to force close the app to get out but when trying again it dose it again normally lasts days then when I come back to the app after a couple days to try again it reverts me back a chapter then glitches all over again sometimes I can can you please unlock the door im outside one chapter then the next one is a black screen again .. I’ve even had issues with paid characters lost characters points multiple times to this glitch … I’m iOS 26.4.1

I like this app, out of the all the apps that are similar, this one has the most stories I enjoy. HOWEVER, it is damn costly. I have a monthly subscription, but that only gives you a certain amount of coins. Out of the few books I’ve read, I’ve had to purchase extra coins in addition to my monthly ones. For this app, or any like it, you will absolutely win if you make a subscription service that allows unlimited reading for the subscription cost. I’d happily pay $100 a year if it meant I could read as much as I want. As it is, I’ll be checking out the singular app I know that does the unlimited reading subscription, and kindle unlimited.

Okay, so I got this app because of an ad about an awesome book (King of the Underworld). And it started out great I think they gave you like the first 8 chapters until you had to start unlocking the chapters with coins. Which they do have free options but it’s takes forever to get the coins you need to unlock a chapter because after verifying your email, the options don’t give you much coins. And every time you read a chapter the amount in coins the next chapter costs increases. Not to mention they make it so the chapters are extremely short. So the book I’m reading has like 490 chapters so you have to pay more coins. I looked at their total, it’s said I would need 23,000 coins to read the entire book. Right now when you look up the coins the most you can buy at once is 5,000 and you get 1,500 bonus coins when you buy them for $50. I would have to make 3.5 purchases of $50 to read the entire book and that’s including the bonus coins, that would total about $175 just to read one book. And it would be even worse if you bought slowly overtime because you don’t get the bonuses, so you’d end up paying more in the long run. I bought 500 coins for $5 and it was gone in 6 chapters because they kept increasing the price of the chapter. Overall this app isn’t worth it. And I’m upset because I started reading a book I really like and I don’t want to leave it unfinished, but you can 4 or 5 books, maybe more, for the price of $175. And it’s gonna take me forever to get the coins I need for free.

On google search any stories says you can read “full story to read online for free now”, but you can only read to chapter 9 before being asked to pay to open each chapter. Old bait and switch… Update: they reached out to say they have free reads and bonus coins, etc, but those are hard to get and only a few here and there. One chapter cost 72 coins to open! I would have to wait darn near 2-4 weeks to read a single chapter of the book they baited me into reading. Also, I tried to contact their customer service, and it’s the worst customer service ever. Period. There was no help other than to tell me that I needed to join their Facebook help group.. this was even more of an insult. Of course the group is monitored so nothing gets posted without them seeing it, and they won’t post anything negative. They just keep telling you the same thing as this developer responded to say. ” Hi you can get free bonus to keep read. Ads, check in, and reading challenge. We also have more daily bonus games in our social media. Enjoy.” They have all said almost exactly the same thing…. Do not get sucked into this shady app. If you have to get customers by promising one thing, but only being able to offer something else that is not as good, you’re not a good company. Beware.

So I only recently downloaded this and while I’ve found a couple of stories I like most of them are great concepts but so poorly written I can’t get through more than a couple of chapters. This is no fault of the writers I know it’s common for writers to not have the best grammar, I just feel the people running the app should proofread stories before publishing even if it delays updates. Also I’ve checked in every day for the last five days but it only gave bonus for the first three every time I go to check in for the 15 bonus the date it says suddenly moves to the following day which is RIDICULOUS. I’m in school I can’t afford to spend money on these apps and there’s no wait for a free chapter feature, so bonus really help me get some reading. Its also a little hard to navigate in general it’s easy but I seem to only be able to put one tag and Id really like to be able to sort better through them. I wouldn’t mind an option to sort through complete and ongoing. Not to mention so far the majority of the free stories I’ve found are no more than ten chapters, I’ve found one free story that’s complete. I’m sure there’s more but my ability to sort and navigate the app makes it difficult the free story I did find that’s complete was found by accident.

I downloaded the app and at first it was fine. I even made a purchase of coins at first purchase went through as it should. I went on to make two other purchases of coins tree for stories however, my coins disappeared. I shut down the app or reopened it advised to I even shut down my device And powered it back up still no points. I tried to contact them by email and received no response I finally had to file a dispute with PayPal to see if I can get my money back. DO NOT GIVE THIS APP ANY OF YOUR MONEY. THEY WILL JUST TAKE IT FOR PROFIT AND GIVE YOU NO RESPONSE. If I could give it zero stars, I would the stories are great some spellings I can live with, but if they have the worst at customer service and refuse to give back money or answer you. Update: I contacted PayPal for a refund. This company straight up lied to PayPal about my disappearing coins. I follow their instructions, but they put the blame all on me that I didn’t do it correctly. I don’t know how I could’ve not done it correctly. The coins were there when I went to have supper with my elderly mother, and when I came back and opened up the app, the coins were gone, but somehow it was still all my fault. They still have also not responded to any of my emails even the email provided by PayPal to contact them. My email comes back undeliverable as mailbox is full. So I did not get my refund. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP AND THE COMPANY THAT MADE IT THEY STRAIGHT UP LIES AND BLAME THE CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR MISTAKES. IF YOU HAVE THIS APP, DO NOT LET IT STAY ON YOUR TABLET. DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY.

I grew up reading Wattpad (the free version) and while I did not expect this to be a spot on version, I did at least expect to get the bonus coins it’s supposed to give out. I have tried updating, waiting for future updates to fix the issue, and so on. So far, nothing good has come from me using this app. If I could at least get my daily bonus like I’m supposed to, I would possibly invest some money, as I have found quite a few books I like. But the app will not give me my bonuses, and when I do get the daily bonuses and time spent reading bonuses, I get to unlock one chapter before they disappear. I thought it was a fluke, tried to uninstall and reinstall and it’s a no go. I am uninstalling because, once again, I got my 35 bonus coins for reading and 5 bonus coins for daily log in (which is very finicky, it will say you’ve either read for less or more days so you never get the 15 bonus), I had 52 coins. I read ONE chapter of a book for 25 coins. All of a sudden, I have 11 bonus coins. I constantly go back to 11 coins no matter how many I use or do not use. I’m not going to spend my money on coins that I don’t even receive or glitch out. So, big no go for me and uninstalling to avoid the frustration.

I have only had my account since July. I have made a couple of purchases but had some credits missing, which were returned before I could contact them. I, thankfully, decided to wait to make sure it was not a regular is. I log in every day to get the rewards done and ways saving up to unlock a story so I could read it uninterrupted and only needed about 50 credits to unlock the whole rest of the story (I had over 911 credits) and when I collected my rewards it showed as me only having 489 credits. I sent a message through support and it took 6 days for them to send me a form letter telling me to check my purchases. I have not made a purchase at all since September 6, 2021. The math doesn’t add up, even an idiot can see it why send me a message implying I am stupid and just spent over 500 credits at once when there is no purchase for more than 50 credits at any one time? I think they should look before imply their customers who spend money are stupid… *Update* Apparently, even when you buy credits with real money, they expire in a month. They really should tell you that but apparently they don’t… Guess I am going to delete this app and go to Wattpad…

Hi the app is okay. I find myself going back to wattpad more. For AnyStories, there a Facebook group and what app group which you can be more interactive with the writers of the stories. You can also be interactive with the groups on WhatsApp more. There the admins have created groups where you can interact more with your peers. Some of the groups that they have created are shifter/supernatural, mafia romance, fantasy etc. In the app AnyStories you can read the first 5 or 6 chapters for free, after you need to coins/ bonus to unlock the rest of the chapters. Here is where Facebook and WhatsApp will be your friends. On FB you can join there group and there daily bonus posted on there page. On WhatsApp there are daily codes that are generated. It all depends on what your preference are. AnyStories has a very of stories like werewolves, fantasy romance, Erotica, Dom/Bdsm etc. Overall I think it’s just to much to be going back and forward between WhatsApp and Facebook to be connecting extra bonus. If everything is kept on one platform it would or might be easier.

I have been using this app for over a year now and have reached my limit with this particular app. Here what I’ve experienced and why I feel the need to warn potential customers. First they have no standard charging system. You can have good stories cost you a total of $30 (and yes you have to buy coins to unlock) and other stories cost you almost $50 or more. They have no edit system. I have stories duplicate chapters and yes they still charge you for it. They have been stories that have been on the app for a long time and never finished and they still publish it on the WhatsApp community asking us to read them. It only gets shadier from here. I had put a readers warning on a story that had gone months without updates and that the app was promoting readers to read. My warning was hey this story has been updated in a long time you might not want to waste the coin on a incomplete story. That comment was quietly removed. I thought it was weird until they did it again to me. I had another clean warning about a story that was, in my opinion, ripping off customers and that comment was removed once again quietly. I was not surprised because they were charging so much per chapter on this story. It’s insane what they are doing to their readers. The final straw for me was when I found a story they were charging so much for (between 70 to 100 coins per chapter for a 200 chapter book) on another reading app. That app only charged 35 coins for EVERY chapter. I have several of these kinds of app and this one is by far the greediest. Please watch your money. A lot of these apps share the same stories you could get these stories off another app for way less and now I’m seeing a lot of these writers publishing their own books. So you maybe even find them on Amazon/kindle or google.

After enjoying the app and reading it on my phone. Which has been hard as the device is smaller. I was gifted an iPad to help with this. After transferring all of information over. I went to open the AnyStories app to continue reading. It came up with a new user. Trying to figure out how to connect my account with the $200+ annual subscription that I already paid for. I reached out for help to get any account figured out. So the help center told me that since there wasn’t an official login made before I purchased my subscription (which should be required if the app can’t cross over to other devices. This is not stated or communicated in any way when a subscription is bought.) That effectively it’s my problem and there is nothing they can do. So please if you download this app and decide to purchase a subscription or anything else make an official login before you do. Do not use the one that AnyStories makes for you when you get the app. As you will be like me stuck with a subscription I can’t share between devices.

So this app is just like every other social media app advertising and it’s incredibly disappointing. Number one you earn very little for daily log in and ad watching Number two if you are patient enough to save your coins it will still take you forever to read a single book because the chapters are so short. My example for this is as follows: I got sucked into a story on an instagram ad…great no worries I’m patient enough to watch ads and stock pile coins….oh…even with unmasking the auto subscribe you still cannot see how much each chapter costs…no biggie…I will treat myself this one time because I like the story and buy a coin package….I bought something like 3500 to 4000 ….this should definitely get me through the book…y’all….I made it to chapter 108 out of 500 and some ….absolutely absurd number one to split up a story into 500 and some tiny chapters and number two it would cost me close to $250 to read this one book….to put it in perspective that’s roughly 12 books bought anywhere legitimate. Such a rip off and scam, which is a shame because I was genuinely enjoying the story.

I read quickly and was enjoying the stories I was reading so far, so I bought the monthly unlimited subscription thinking I could read all the books on an unlimited basis. This isn’t correct. I started a book, got 5/6 of the way through and suddenly I needed to buy coins. I have no idea what this app is trying to do. Not all books are unlimited, but they certainly don’t mention that when you sign up. My favorite is I chose a supposedly unlimited book and the app says, you get to read for “free” . No, I paid for a monthly subscription, it’s not free. It’s $10. I would happily keep this app for $10/ month and read these silly, fun stories. Unfortunately, I’ve paid $20 and haven’t even been able to read a complete story with that money. Over time, if this app had given what I paid for- an unlimited subscription for the books on the app for $10- I would have stayed probably a year or more, sadly for them, I’m leaving this scam and headed back to the free elibrary. The stories are so fun, I’m bummed the app now seems shady and gross.

This app seems to have fine content, but if you want to read a book you’ll either have to save up on 3-10 “bonus coins” by logging in every day for god knows how long, or pay nearly a hundred dollars to finish in a reasonable amount of time. The pricing system is not transparent, and when I tried to read my first book I didn’t realize how expensive it would be to finish until I was a fair way into the story. There’s no reason why there couldn’t be a price upfront, so it seems like a strategy to get you hooked and then ask you to buy x number of coins for the low low price of $50 (without mentioning that this number of coins will not, in fact, get you to the end of the book). It’s a shame because I like the concept of the comments within the book and a system that allows you to support smaller authors, but there is just no way this pricing system (even with the teeny tiny bonus options) can be sustainable. For context, my next chapter costs over $100 coins — the cheapest coin package is 1,000 for $9.99, and this book has well over 100 (very short) chapters.

Like many others I had high hopes for this app, unfortunately I am just highly disappointed. There’s a large selection of books, most of which are in serious need of editing. I have another reading app that I can actually earn coins on and the chapters are the same amount from the beginning to the end. And a new chapter unlocks after 8 hours. This one it started with 16 coins and has jumped to 112 after less than 10 chapters. Another complaint is I’m not asked if I want to open the next chapter it’s just done automatically until you don’t have enough coins to open any more. Sure you can purchase more coins but it’s not enough to finish the book when there’s over a 100 chapters and as another reviewer said it’s over $50 for a book, why would I spend that much when apparently that’s all an author gets. Where does the rest of the money go?? Because it’s certainly not going back to the customer or the author. In short find a different story app because this one is a money grubbing thief!

I really want to love this app. However, it’s fairly often that I log in and get my log in credits, go to click on a story to read a new chapter and all of a sudden my credits are gone. So it’s not really something that I can screenshot to get help with. But the time I did grab some screenshots, I wrote their help center and it wouldn’t let me send the photos through the app. So I just sent the written problem and then they said I had to send the screenshots. I tried to at least reply to the email in order to send the screenshots and they never got back to me. I have at least 60 credits worth by now that have just disappeared. Also, the stories are great but often full of misspelled words or grammatical errors. So I don’t know if there are supposed to be editors helping these new authors but if so, they certainly are doing a poor job. I will still keep this app till I’m done reading the stories I currently have going but, unless the glitches stop happening, I will be deleting when I’m done.

This app may have really good stories but I will never know. You ether have to buy a bunch of coins or you can check in every day to get points/coins. I am trying to read one story that kept popping up and sounded good and I was checking in EVERYday to get points and even watching extra commercials for points. I needed 120 points for the next chapter. Took me maybe 4 days of check ins to get it. Well I didn’t have time to read it so was like “I’ll read it tomorrow or the next day” thinking I’ll stack up my points so maybe I’ll read 2 (very short) chapters. I log back on and I’m down to 90 points. My points started to disappear despite the fact I’m checking in each day. First I thought, I remembered wrong. I wasn’t at 120 but I checked again today and I’m down to 70…. I haven’t bought anything or used my coins and now I’ll never read the next chapter because my points are vanishing somehow… 2 stars because the story was good. Only thing going for this app.

I WAS in love with this app. I purchased a 1 month subscription for unlimited reading/listening. However, it’s not worth using this app and being SCAMMED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS! I decided to switch my payment method to PayPal, as they offered a discount to not pay through Apple. BIGGEST MISTAKE! After I cancelled my subscription, they continued billing me every month through PayPal! I emailed their support team and they STILL continued billing me. I was even billed twice 1 of the months! Since they ignored me, I reached out to PayPal who was able to get a hold of them. I provided proof of cancellation, proof of duplicate charge, and proof of being billed after cancellation, and this company refused to refund my money! The price is ridiculously high and ALL stories on this app are available on other apps for a cheaper price and/or FREE. Do not fall for their SCAM of paying cheaper through a 3rd party! If you decide to use this app, only use Apple because Apple will defend you if they try to scam you. Again, all stories on this app are available for FREE on apps like NovelFlow.

$60. Sixty. Freaking. Dollars. That’s how much one of these ‘books’ (in the loosest of terms) will cost you. Absolute insanity. I cannot for the LIFE of me understand how this app has 4.7 stars. Oh that’s right, they’re fake reviews. So sad. Anyway, for $60 you too can have: atrocious grammar, terrible spelling, ridiculous plot holes, wild inconsistencies, bare minimum plots and characters, and hundreds of chapters that are 3 pages long (ok, some are longer, I’m trying to be generous here). The $60 I quoted above? Cheap for this app! This particular story had longer chapters and a plot that has a proper beginning, middle and end (120-something chapters, quite good for these ‘books’), but the other I’ve tried to start (tried being the operative word…I’d have to stop due to the expense and the fact that the grammar/spelling/plot holes/inconsistencies made my brain HURT)? 400+ chapters…so these ‘books’ get SOOOO much more expensive. Libraries are free, and in them you can find free books that have been *gasp* professionally edited! Books that make sense! And did I mention, FREE?

I would love to give this app 5 stars. I am enjoying the book I am reading immensely… BUT… the app itself frustrates me no end. Most of the time, the ads that allow you to earn coins don’t load, or it just sits and spins after the ad plays and never credits you for watching it. Today it got worse, to the point I am seriously considering deleting the app. I wanted to get some read time credit, so I tried to scroll back to re-read chapters I had already unlocked, but NO! They are locked again! If I have to spend coins to read chapters, they should STAY unlocked! Unfortunately I can’t afford to pay for a membership so I am forced to read what little I can unlock. I am very much not a happy person at the moment, as I do not have any way to earn coins to even unlock a single chapter. It is ruining the entire experience for me.

I got lured in by a good story before realizing that the app is pretty problematic. You have a few unlocked chapters before you have to start unlocking them with coins, and the coins can be purchased or acquired by performing certain tasks (checking in, reading). Occasionally, you can acquired bonus points for watching more ads, but I’ve had a bunch not load and wasted my time trying to acquire these coin. The chapters can vary wildly in the number of coins needed to unlock them, and the writers must be paid by the chapter because some of the stories have hundreds of chapters. While the story I’m currently committed to finishing is actually well-written and edited, the vast majority are not. Many are clearly plagiarized from other apps and/or written by non-English speakers (or maybe a bad Google translation) so the story is incomprehensible. Once I finish the one book I’m reading, I’m deleting this app.

I want to start this review by saying I haven’t spent a single dime of my own money on this app, thank goodness. I used daily bonus coins, completed daily challenges, got frequent “gifts” from three different Facebook groups, and watched ads. And EVEN STILL, I only made it like 24/99 chapters into a book I was interested in before I gave up. I’ve had this app for approximately one week, and I’ve just had enough. The three stories I’ve tried are riddled with grammatical errors, and the individual chapters cost entirely too many coins. I spent 85 coins on a chapter that was probably as long as a single page on Microsoft word, single spaced. I frequently will finish a chapter and say, “I paid ___ coins for that?” So I’m done. I am so glad I didn’t waste money on this app. There are only really three tropes available on the app, and I’m just not interested in billionaires, werewolves, or trauma-love stories enough to keep going. So, I’m deleting this awful app and I’m never looking back.

I was somehow able to make an in app purchase without having to double click or confirm. I suddenly had a bunch of coins and bonus on my visitor account. I went to check my credit transactions and to my surprise there was a charge from Apple. When I reached out about the issue I was told it was a “legitimate” purchase. This type of app is a scam in more ways than one. Edit: I already reached out in app, but was basically told that I made the purchase and they weren’t going to do anything about it. This app tries to trick you into purchasing. It opens the window to purchase credits every time you go to a new chapter, which is normal except, when you try to exit out of the menu it asks you to double click to complete the purchase. It basically does the first step of your two step purchase for you, and then you have to be careful not to compete it. I’ve seen a lot of apps like this and this is the worst by far. It’s an absolute scam.

I have been trying to unlock chapters on multiple different books for weeks now and the app has not been letting me. All I have been able to do is re-read old books I have unlocked. I found a new book I really like and after still being unable to unlock new chapters I finally took a chance at logging out to see if logging back in would fix the problem and the app now refuses to let me log in at all to access any of the books I have unlocked. I have easily spent $100 or more unlocking chapters in this app and have potentially lost it all. This is after overlooking the countless grammar and spelling mistakes in the books because I enjoy the storylines enough to continue reading despite them reading as if they were translated from another language or written by a middle schooler. Save your time and money and download Yonder or another, much better, reading app!

Seems like an interesting app, but unlocking the chapters is frustrating. Not everyone is capable of paying to unlock chapters so they have to watch ads. Making someone watch three ads for a single chapter is ridiculous, especially when often times it’s a 35 sec ad that plays two ads during that. Those better start counting as two ads if that’s the case. Or watch 3-4 ads at a time to progress but you unlock a chapter for every single ad you watch. It’s also very annoying at how short some chapters are allowed to be. 5-9 pages isn’t enough to be considered a chapter, much less wait and watch all those ads to progress only for a short chapter. I suggest adding a length limit for chapters and changing how you use ads. And the fact that you can run out of ads to watch is frustrating. Just keeps getting worse and worse.

I recently downloaded this app because a story I saw on social media caught my eye. It’s impossible to read a book by earning coins, at first I could get a chapter or two then I realized it would take me days of check ins and watching ads to earn enough coins for one chapter so I just bought coins so I could really read the book. I didn’t realize how many coins you actually need to read the whole book. I finally checked and saw how many coins are needed for the whole book and this one book would end up costing a little over $100!!! That is outrageous!! This app would be great if you could buy books outright or there was a way to actually earn rewards to really read. I saw where you can “join a group” to earn more coins but then you have to join a group of strangers on WhatsApp. Unfortunately I don’t see how this is a realistic app to get to finish books.

I started reading a book that was advertised on Facebook called “four or dead” could be a really good book but not something worth paying actual money for. And the prices to purchase each chapter are just too much!!! I had never heard of this app until I saw the promotion on Facebook and I see why now. I would love to finish the book but I barely started it. I did the watch ads option to get the bonus coins but it only goes for so many ads before you have to stop for the next day. I’d continue watching multiple ads for each chapter if that were an option but it’s not. Not worth spending mommy hard earned money on. And when I googled it to find out the information on the book it says “FOUR OR DEAD ALL CHAPTERS READ ONLINE FOR FREE” now most people would take that as the chapters are free!!! Only had this app for 24 hours and seriously disappointed, going to delete it now!

This app charges me for recurring subscription tied to a “guest account” that I could not access, locate, or manage. When I tried to find or cancel the subscription, the app clearly stated that I did not have an account. There is no warning that subscription can be tied to a device-specific “guest account” that is essentially invisible to the user. Because of this setup, I had no reasonable way to cancel the subscription before being charged repeatedly. Customer service confirmed the charges but refused a refund, even after acknowledging the account was tied to a device-specific guest login. Instead, they blamed “failure to cancel in time”, even though their system prevented me from accessing the account to cancel it. I have filed complaints and disputed the charges through my credit card company. I strongly recommend avoiding this app.

So even with subscriptions books are expensive to read if you don’t pick a free one . Then you find out the reason it had grammar errors the writer forgets her characters names and calls them the wrong name in every other sentence. Is because these people just upload their own books unedited or reviewed . I also found out these books aren’t finished all the time either 😡. I would never have started a book the author has not finished yet . Now i am supposed to wait until they upload chapters weekly? I think not for the prices they are asking for to read these books they should at least be real books that are reviewed by an editor and FINISHED!!! I am going back to Kindle books cheaper and finished .

I use the free daily coins to get new chapters but sometimes my free coins just disappear. Sometimes it will show I have like 15 or something and then once i click the button to claim more all of a sudden I now have 0 coins instead of 22. I’m not spending $50 per book to unlock all the chapters for an unpublished, unedited work. I enjoy reading on here but the glitches are making it more and more frustrating to continue wanting to use this platform no matter how much I like the story. I’ve had at least 80 coins disappear on me like that. So frustrating. After i wrote my first review i still keep having credits disappear and no it is not because they expire because I spend them on chapters as soon as I have enough to do so. Fix your glitches and give all your readers some free credits for wasting our time.

Honestly I love the books on here. It’s great until you can’t read a chapter for days because you have to do the daily bonus’s it only allows you to have 30 a day 6coins an ad. Plus your daily check in. The chapters cost at least 127 now and I’m only 50 something chapters into the book and he coin price goes up 10 or more a chapter. So that being said I can’t even read a chapter a day. Also the reading time gives you bonus’s but only after 15 mins 30 mins and 60mins. It doesn’t even take me 15 mins to read a chapter so I never see any of the reading bonus’s since I can only read one chapter every few days. I did start out buying coins but after buying a few bundles I didn’t think it was worth it and the membership that only lasts a month is 40 dollars.

This app requires you to pay astronomical prices for books, many of which are incomplete. I started reading a book with introductory free coins. I was interested in it so I decided to purchase a large amount of coins for $50. I thought with that much money, I would be able to read for months. I quickly found out I was wrong. That $50 allowed me to read a single book. Actually, that book isn’t complete so I paid $50 to read part of a book. Unbelievable. When I realized how quickly the coins were being used, I purchase the unlimited subscription. I thought since it’s unlimited that it give allow me access to all the books. I started reading a new book that I was interested in finishing. But I got a short percentage in and was prompted to purchase more coins. That’s when I realized that the term unlimited is intentionally deceptive. What’s unlimited about only being able to read only some but not all of the library of books? To summarize, I spent $110 to read one incomplete story, and to read a few chapters of another story only to find out unlimited is not unlimited. I have no idea how they get anyone to pay these prices. I don’t know how anyone can afford it. They’re ridiculous.

I love reading from this app but when I try to use the ads to get coins feature, it puts the closing button within an area that I can’t click on so I am never able to close out of the ad and I have to just fully close out of the app. I get that Samsung is different from iPhone but they need to have it work for every phone type. This is just getting ridiculous. It has been happening for the past few days that I can’t close out of the ad after it’s finished or even before it is finished and it’s infuriating. Please design it better or get better ads. I’m most likely not the only one but will be the one to speak my mind on it. If the devs fix it or help me figure out what to do, by all means, I’ll take this down but for now, I needed to say something.

The book content is excellent and well written however I think what’s worse than a bad book is a very well written book that is incomplete and takes months for updates. I finished the bulk of this book in late N.A. ish and it’s now mid May and only have seen a few updates. 2 chapters then weeks 2 more chapters then months then 2 chapters and still. Waiting for anything more. Why get us into a boom of your finish It. Cost me a lot of money as I kept a membership for this book. I have switched to coins. I only have a membership when I plan to read complete books. Ie on vacation etc. this is just painful Again the book, story and writing are 5 Start but the waiting and left hanging has made It a 1 star. Hoping to see the Author step It up and if so I can possibly change this to a 5 star

So, I know I am a sucker. I start reading the excerpts on some random app, and get interested in the story. I knew this was a pay-by-chapter site, so I purchased $15 worth of coins (1500 plus 150 newbie bonus). I figured for $15 I would get the entire book. Nope. Much to my surprise this morning, the “you need more coins “ yellow bar popped up. I searched, and found that I had 53 more chapters to go. In essence, another $12. For those not great with math, that is $27- FOR A BOOK. Not even a physical one either. I know these writers need money too, but COME ON. The kicker? The story I was reading had a TON of grammatical errors. I had to reread several parts because my brain stopped focusing on the story and started figuring out the correct termage/ spelling/ verb tense, etc. I may try the “free” section, but I honestly think I may just head over to my local thrift store and pick up 27 books for $27. Cheap? Yes. Stupid? No.

I really enjoy some of the stories but once you have to start paying for chapters they get more and more expensive. The reward coins you get from daily check ins and watching ads “expire” between 7-30 days. I wanted to stock up and do my check ins and blow them all at one time because I’m one of those people who don’t want to put it down when I’m into it. But my weeks of checking in and watching so many mind numbing ads were for nothing. They took more than half. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed. What’s the point of getting these rewards and choosing to check in and watch ads if you’re just taking them? And make people wait a day or two for one measly chapter that’s 10 pages. This app could be so much better with these rewards.

I wish I could give this app the 5-star review that it’s stories really deserve. I spend hours reading them. I truly love everything I have read. But their reward system leaves me disappointed. So many times I spend all day reading, only for it to not count for anything in the reading challenge. I login in daily only for several times for my daily login reward to have been reset. I read 40 chapters in their latest WhatsApp challenge, Aug. 5.-11, but never received the 600 bonus that was supposed be rewarded on the 13th. I have tried to get app support, only to be directed to the website that just brings me around in circles. I even tried contacting them on Facebook, pending a response. If it wasn’t for their stories, I wouldn’t even bother.

Oh where do I start? Answer to the title… they gave “coins” to people who posted a review. They will sucker you in with an ad read. Then you download. Then you have to earn coins to unlock chapters or purchase coins if you want to do it quicker. The chapters are not even full chapters. They’re like sections of a chapter so a book that would have 15 chapters now has 60 or more. You could earn coins on Facebook groups, but then they changed it to the WhatsApp, where you still got a daily bonus for a while till recently they removed that. Now they have challenges you have to do if they list them for the book you’re reading. And let’s not forget the weekly lottery that they have to earn coins. And then, when you call them out about it, the administrators delete your comments.

I’m in the middle of my 2nd book and I’m really enjoying the author’s work. However, my complaint is the high cost to unlock chapters. On other apps, the cost is pretty set with very little cost difference per chapter. But with this app, I’ve experienced an almost 20 cent difference. As you progress with the story, the price increases. It’s expensive to read these books, because you can’t just buy the completed novels. And since the price keeps changing, you can’t accurately determine the amount of coins needed to read the current stories. I get that they’d like you to read many authors, but if it’s going to cost $20 to read a book that would be $8 for something similar in paperback, then I’ll probably just stop reading new books once I complete the 3rd novel of the series I’m on.

This app is seriously not worth it. The stories themselves are not worth the money. I found a story I was interested in reading because I got sucked in and being a avid reader, I purchased 4,000 coins for 30 dollars (although I was charged over 44.) that only got me to chapter 64 out of over 200 chapters. If I wanted to get the whole book it would cost me more than 150 dollars for it. I have several College Nursing Textbooks that cost less than that! The story itself wasn’t bad even if it was full of spelling mistakes and I’m disappointed that I can’t read the whole thing, but I’m not shelling out that much money when I can get kindle unlimited for 10 bucks a month and get to read the whole book instead of having to unlock each chapter. It’s a total scam. Don’t waste your money.

It would cost over $22 to read one story, that’s the price of a hardcover book. I read ebooks because it’s cheaper than buying physical books. There isn’t anyway to earn coins for free. There are better apps where you can earn coins or get a free chapter a day.

It is a great app, but could you add a way to earn coins (by watching an ad) or make it so you have to wait an hour or something after each chapter you read before reading the next chapter.

As with all of these apps you have to understand what you’re getting into. The novels are unnecessarily, long, probably AI generated and almost always follow the same tropes and patterns. Are they well written? No. Is it a great way to waste some time? Yes. Do I DNF most of the novels on this app? Also yes. But it’s addictive and I keep coming back for more. What can I say? I’m a sucker.

Just so you know, if you have completed a story in the past, they make you buy the whole thing over again. It’s damned annoying.

Honestly this app is amazing for new reads and I’ve found so many goodies on here from Facebook pop ups. The only real negative is finding release info for continuing book and the monthly price is quite the hit which makes me personally unable to commit to the app and I’m sure scares away others as well which somewhat does a disservice to the authors. Hopefully one day I’ll have a book on it.

I enjoy the creativity of the stories on here however for the cost I feel ripped off. The authors have zero editing and plot following. If you are trying to give up and coming authors a platform to gain skills and experience then you should offer some help. I can pay monthly for 10 $ and read as many books as I want that are edited and easily followed.

The app is fine I guess. The customer service isn’t. The books are great. But when you buy the “rest of the chapters” then don’t get them. Then message customer service and get blown off… it’s rather unappealing. I’m going to finish this amazing book and delete this app. Would recommend the books and the authors… customer service needs work.

I paid for 1 week unlimited, it was supposed to direct me to a different page, it did not. So I closed the app then reopened it and could read. Did so for about 12 hours and then nothing. It’s like it decided to give me coins instead, which makes no sense because that costs so much more money. I tried to get help and was completely dismissed. $45 bucks Canadian for a few hours of reading, horrible. You should be embarrassed on your actions.

I have been attempting to Read Game of Destiny. It seemed like it was a good story. I was about halfway through the book, when I took New Year’s Eve day off. Picking up the book I was devastated to find that all of my hard opened chapters were relocked back to Chapter 16. Less than impressed with the calibre of the application.

I have really wanted to continue with this app but the cost per chapter (some are over 200 coins 🤦🏽‍♀️) is making it impossible to stick with this app. If things change and the amount per chapter is lowered significantly so that people can actually afford a book on this app I may return ..I’ll find the books I have on diffrent apps and leave this one alone w check in a year to see if things have changed (chapter prices / earnings by better coin amounts/ membership incentives Cost wise there is better apps out there :( please start to make changes so more books can be enjoyed thru this app

The stories from the authors are great stories but the app charges a ridiculous amount to read them and a lot of them are unfinished, updated and often times just left that way unfortunately.

This app costs an arm and a leg. I was 100 percent certain I got rid of this app months ago… and looked at my credit card balance and was wondering why I was being charged 25 dollars a week… YES PER WEEK NOT MONTH. FOR AN APP THAT I WASNT EVEN USING!! 80 bucks a month is pretty steep… I’ll be way more careful after this awful experience yikes. Sticking to my kindle unlimited for 10 bucks a month for REAL books.

I signed up for a weekly subscription and it does not appear in my Apple account and I cannot cancel it anywhere. The email for help is “undeliverable” and now I’m stuck trying to call my credit card company.

Update- finally developer reminded stating I had updated devices never addressed the over charge or the flaw where the app automatically opens chapters without being told to - again scam I went to purchase the 29.99 coin package which should have allowed the reading it asking of a full book but the app charged me 39.99 American dollars (I’m Canadian ) and then it allows the reading g of only 26 chapters as the first four are free already - there is 117 chapters do you think it’s a pricey scam ? Yes that’s what it is and no where does it provide contact email information or a phone number shame on this

Good stories. The part that sucks is how freaking expensive it is.

I enjoy the number of books I’m able to pick from, but I think the cost is a little high considering how short the chapters seem to be or how many chapters there are in a book. Sometimes I have to give up on the book because I can’t afford to buy all the chapters

Books are good - Cost to Access is ridiculous! Either you get a membership that you don’t want or you pay for could or tokens to unlock chapters. By the time you’re done it’s way more than $100 for one book. Unless you read like lightning and finish in an hour!

The stories themselves are ok. The usual tropes and story lines. Questionable “authors”. Many stories feel written by ai or very ESL writers with translation software and no proofreading. I have nothing against this but when it’s a paid product, it’s unacceptable.

If you want your book to be read, you should not put it on a pay to Read site! It is really messed up to put so much of the book out for it to be locked and have to pay. If you want payed write your book and go find a publisher like a real writer!!

I like this app and the stories I’ve read on it. However I can’t justify the cost. I purchased a monthly reading option and it was in American dollars which made it even more expensive. As much as I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read there are other less expensive options with equally good stories to read. After this month I won’t be renewing or purchasing additional coins. Stories would be a 4/5 but the cost would be 1/5.

I read a lot. I don’t even mind the ads most days if the story is good. BUT when I cannot get those points to read said chapters??? Or the ad says FREE chapters and don’t produce. Sorry. The one star is for the cool books you have on your site but you don’t deserve more. I did try to contact their support service I received a failure message, no record found.

You only get to ready the first few chapters before having to "Unlock" the next one by purchasing coins, every single time. The chapters are super ahort and take max 5 minutes to read so you always end up waiting and try to get coins. Im dissatisfied and will be removing the app.

I started reading a book which is fantastic how ever by the time I finish reading it , it’s going to cost well over $200. Canadian. Not worth it.

I only downloaded this app to continue reading a story. But they wouldn’t allow me to exist the chapters in order to check other stories unless i pay to read the rest of the chapters. ridiculous. We cannot even get out of a book to check other available books

If you want to read this book without having to buy coins download the app NovelFlow . You have to watch ads but I’d rather do that than buy tons of coins which could end up costing you a fortune. I’ve downloaded the app and have read 3 books and on to my 4 th ,, no coins bought

I was enjoying the story that caught my attention when it asked me to buy coins for chapters. I tried to exit and somehow spent over $28 on a pack of coins ant it wasn’t enough to even read half the book! Way too expensive!! No way to be refunded. Overall disappointing.

Awful I can only read 52 chapters for the crazy price of 45$ half the book in and I refuse to spend another crazy amount of money just to finish it! So disappointing don’t download!

I have a lot of these types of apps and this one is one of the most expensive by FAR. The stories are not all that much better or different. The only way to really earn coins is watching adds, which gives next to nothing for coins, and buying subscriptions. There are so many better options available, go anywhere else

It really is interesting to start a story, only to go to the app and have to buy coins to go on. What a farce. Reading through some of the reviews, one response was you use top authors to justify the cost? If they were really Top authors, their books would be in a bookstore where it would cost e less to buy it I can buy a book from an established well known Author for less money than it costs to go through a book in this app. Or any reading app really. Personally, I’m tired of being financially raped for sub par products. Get real people, buy a book. Its much more satisfying, properly edited and cost less.

This app is an absolute rip-off. It costs a small fortune to read a book - many of which aren’t finished for months/years. I just re-opened this app, and discovered that all of the books I had paid for in my “library” have disappeared completely…and I have to pay to buy them again!

I like the story, but you have to pay for coins in order to read a chapter. There is no wait times, and the “challenges” are not worth enough coins to get through a chapter. Waste of time, there are other reading apps that are better. Do not recommend this one. Really disappointed.
