My new go to social appThis is the closest app I have found to TikTok and you can monetize on six different levels from what I understand from what I’ve read from the Clapper information page and I definitely think if you’re looking for someplace to go after TikTok being banned this is definitely a great option You should definitely at least give it a try and see what you think. You will have to turn off Trina feature if that’s not something you’re looking to see because they aren’t as strict as TikTok when it comes to those kinds of things, but there is an option to turn it off. You have the ability to shield yourself from seeing certain things that you might not want to see but check it out it’s worth a shot. You can get monetized right away go live right away get gifts and your lives right away. Little disappointed!Just started using this app today first I’d like to say that I am a little disappointed because it doesn’t have nearly as much features as other apps do, like TikTok or CapCut. I could only trim my videos. I can’t edit them in any type of way or add any special effects to them. I can’t even add any stickers to them. As far as the font, I am not a fan of because other than just changing to a different color or adding a highlighted background to it, there’s nothing else that you can do. You can’t change the font style, can’t change the format of the font, but at least I can set a duration time🤷‍♀️. I wish that the app had more editing tools to create some cooler content! I feel like it’s a little boring compared to TikTok or CapCut or other social media apps. Oh also doesn’t have nearly as much music or sounds to choose from. Clapper for large creatorsIf you’re a large influencer with millions of followers and you want to be on Clapper, the platform will automatically disable your account every time you get mass reported. Clapper staff will take days to review your disabled accounts. The app itself is enjoyable and has potential if it weren’t for the flaw that larger creators aren’t protected from false mass reporting. The first day I joined Clapper I was mass reported for being an “underage user” (when I’m age 34) it took over a day for me to access my account again. My account was restored. I then decided to make a backup account, both of my accounts were mass reported and disabled the next day. I’ve been on Clapper with 2 accounts now for 7 days and have lost access to both of my accounts due to mass reporting. Clapper does nothing to prevent it. Creators and users have a difficult my communicating with Clapper. I emailed Clapper, no response. I messaged Clapper Support on X, Instagram, and Facebook, no response. Protect creators from false mass reporting. From my perspective, I don’t want to invest my time livestreaming full time and producing content for an app that doesn’t protect me from mass reporting. I come with a lot of clout and unfortunately mass reporting is part of that number. Amazing with some work neededI stream on this app often. I have over 2k followers so I’ve been on this app for a while now. A problem im having is that, if I leave the app to answer a txt too many times, it will actually stop my stream without me knowing. And suddenly the amount of money I have made is on screen. Meaning the live is over. Even though I haven’t ended it myself. This constantly happens to me and other streamers I’ve talked to. I have a backup phone so I answer messages from there but it’s a hassle that shouldn’t be. The same goes for when I’m watching someone’s live or DND. If I leave the app too many times and come back, the live will actually be grey in appearance. Sometimes it says host is away even though they aren’t. I just can’t see them. Again other streamers and viewers have said the same. And obviously you would have to reset the app by closing and reopening. But if your in someone’s DND you can’t get back in. Which also needs to be fixed. Also sometimes my messages disappear if I switch account on my phones as well. This app is really fun though. Also, as a streamer it would be great if we could actually get a higher percentage of the money on this app. Its really ridiculous and I hope you change this otherwise I will have to change tip methods no matter how difficult. Also sometimes when I’m playing videos from my account or trying to record a video the audio will mess up. I would leave my videos or leave create a video and still hear the sound on the video I was just watching or creating. This happens pretty often too as well. I have to close and reopen the app. It happens more likely when creating a video on this app. I also thing the quality upload on this app needs a huge fixer. An honest reviewI downloaded a few days ago, It’s hard to get used to if you’re joining with the expectations that it will equate to tiktok. actually I personally like it much better after fixing my algorithm. there are no filters at all when recording which i have no problem with, it seems to discourage insecurities from being created and fed into in the app. you can upload videos still so this doesn’t limit you from editing your posts. the thumbs down button will take content off your foryou page, this is awesome however if you accidentally click it on a video you enjoy, say asta la vista cause you'll never see it again. personally I LOVE the fact that both spanish and english posts are in my feed. i’d like to broaden my horizons, not shrink them. but if you’re choosing one language over another, say not interested on the language you don’t want. the community is much better here but I do wish the algorithm didn’t look like an onlyfans page before the algorithm gets your likes right. it was very unpleasant to have to say not interested about 50 times before it understood i’m not interested at all in that content. group chats help to find your niche community faster. this app has some great features and hopefully can keep up with the rise in traffic on the app. people in the community are also not extremely fragile like in tiktok. you can disagree and still get along. as it should be, cause no one agrees on everything..Cheese on a stranded farmVersion: 9.6.6

AmazingThis app is the Wild West right now. What this means is - it’s like TikTok OF and IG without commercials (advertisers) plus you can create your own shop with your own products and then there is the DND side. It’s completely free to follow your favorite influencer. You can subscribe to your favorite influencer if you wish to do so unlike OF. You have the freedom to browse around and dig into the dark abyss if you want to. You can make money as an influencer and the cut rate isn’t too bad. I am a micro influencer (newbie) and have tried doing other social media outlets to earn a few extra dollars - this one is by far the best! I enjoy all of it so far. Be careful though, I did run into a few clankers that yellow flag you for not showing your face or talking (I do foot stuffs but not in a OMG way, just nail polishing and foot scrub products) so no face or talking and the clankers begin to flag yeah - which is stupid! Disappointed and Frustrated with Clapper App SupportI’ve been a loyal user of the Clapper app for over four years, and I must say, my experience lately has been incredibly disheartening. Much better than tiktok but also has room to improveI came to clapper from tiktok and the difference is astounding! I am actually able to post all of my content freely without being blocked or banned for no reason! The algorithm is made a lot more clear and moderation is held to a exact guidebook and not just personal opinion. The community is generally nice and if they don’t enjoy the content they typically just scroll. That being said, there’s always room for improvements! I do think that clapper should have more editing features and introduce some “effects” or filters. I know that they don’t want to just copy tiktok completely but being an app focusing on lifestyle, blogging, and educators a few effects and editing features would defiantly improve creation. I tend to make videos on tiktok still and then reupload to clapper which is troublesome. I also would like to see a bit more improvement to the audio selections as well as organization! Audio is always incredibly important when it comes to content and scrolling through each sound that seems to be sorted randomly is a bit of a chore. High potentialI was recruited to this app from being seen on a different platform I’m a creator on. I enjoy having an app that focuses on freedom of speech, politics, point of views- things that a lot of viewers don’t want to see on other apps. This app gives the ability to create content on these topics that others can engage with. On my other platforms my content isn’t based around content like this. Those apps aren’t created for those topics that this app is specifically for. I enjoy to step away from my other content and have the ability to share my thoughts/beliefs on here. Clapper VS. TikTokI’m still new to clapper so I can’t give it 5 starts just yet. I’m still struggling with learning how to get videos on the FYP and learning about the editing features. Here is what I can tell you. Yes TikTok has lots more features when it comes to filters and editing. Sure that can be fun but it’s also very fake. You follow people not knowing who they truly are. On social media yoj can be whoever you want. You can crest this whole fake life and image but even more so on TikTok. DisappointingI am a high volume creator and was really doing great the first 30 days. Within that time the app announced they were censoring content. My traffic went from tens of thousands of views to almost nothing. They ban people without a word, they do not respond to messages, and their email support directs you to message them. They are not a free speech app, more like a very basic version on TikTok. There is no reason to use this app, just use TikTok. I wish they didn’t play games with their creators, but alas I don’t foresee them around very long due to how they treat their creators. I wish I could give no stars. Update: They shadow ban you or ban your account without telling you anything. This is a Chinese company that has an American as their spokesperson. Their customer service is horrible, they treat creators like crap, and they block people from seeing your account. No customer serviceI was double charged by clapper multiple times for their clapper “ coins “. Apple refunded the mistake, but clapper then issued my account to a negative balance of which I had to repay to buy more coins. I can’t close my account with clapper until my negative balance is paid. I wrote clapper customer service, showing them proof of the double charges and was told they would look into it and get back to me. I’ve never heard back from them. That was two months ago. Even after I wrote them again. I’m sure I am not the only person that has been cheated by them. Watch your bank account. They won’t run there business honestly. Awesome appI honestly think this app is awesome... there are negatives to it but overall I think it’s a great app... some things I would recommend is adding more stuff that’s different from tik tok... It’s fineThe app is geared towards social interaction. I see it as a place to kinda stir up drama as it seems best fit for creators that have very strong and controversial opinions. You can “clap back” at another creator in the way you can stitch/duet on tiktok. But a lot of the videos I’ve seen like that make it seem like you can’t mute or quiet down the original video as it always plays over yours in the corner of the screen. Some of the content is good but a lot of it is just mundane life. I think this app has potential but I could never suggest it as a replacement for tiktok without some major upgrades. Quality of video is poor after uploading, there’s no ability to use audios in the way you can use them on tiktok and the editing is bare minimum. Love Clapper!!🥰🥰For a new App, it is fantastic! I find so many wonderful things that TikTok doesn’t have. You can Duet in your Live! You don’t have to have 1000 followers to go Live as with TikTok. Needs a lot of fixes for a new releaseIt’s the 17+ version of TT which is awesome for video microbloggers who don’t want an audience of minors, however the app needs a lot of work. Sometimes while scrolling, you’ll still hear the audio of the last video you were on while the current video is playing. Often while clicking “like” while a video is playing, the video will abruptly stop, causing the user to scroll back and return to the video and restart it to finish it, which affect the amount of views the video is actually getting, or looking like the user is “spam liking” the video. The algorithm needs some serious tweaking. It’s a great app for all users but if my interest isn’t gun collecting, it doesn’t make sense to see them in my FYP repeatedly. If they aren’t truly moderating their content while supporting free speech, it’s going to be a slippery slope and end up like Parler. The blocking system needs fixing. I should be able to block and not see the user ever again. All other apps do this. Adults want to play with cute filters too, come on! While uploading a video, it looks like there’s some double-processing going on before it’s even uploaded? It took forever to get to “edit” the video, and THEN publish it. Great but needs work...I will get right too it: Pros: it has a basic, easy to use operation system. It records 2 min of video. The videos are clean cut and easy to view. The profile page is basically similar to Tiktok. Cons: No lip sync feature (which is what truly draws most people to Tiktok). It has no zoom in or out or even tools to animate the video like Tiktok does (another key factor to people wanting Tiktok over other apps). You can’t edit your video to add interesting features or transitions. (Again, Tiktok feature). The biggest con is the music selection there is no search ability—you have to scroll through everything! Horrible CommunicationThey never communicate updates. The app glitched and viewers get upset with hosts and Clapper doesn’t notify people of problems they are working on. Even when they update the app they just state “fixed bugs.” It’s so frustrating. It’s nearly impossible to contact anyone and when you do they say there is nothing wrong with your app or account. They host live streams only Spanish so you don’t know any of the updates if you don’t speak Spanish. This is a great app to socialize and connect with people and make money. HOWEVER, stuff like this makes you dislike the app. ALL other apps apologize for glitches or updates their users in changes. Not clapper. Update: they say they will update the people more often and their customer support response and that they’re working on it. Clapper Fails Genuine CreatorsI’ve been a content creator on Clapper for almost a year, and my experience has become extremely disappointing. I have repeatedly reached out for help about ongoing harassment, bullying, stalking, and targeted false reports, yet Clapper has consistently failed to respond or take meaningful action. I’ve submitted clear evidence (screenshots, videos, timelines) none of which received any follow-up. Meanwhile, the users who targeted me continue to thrive on the platform with full visibility, strong algorithm support, and no consequences. No Free Speech Here...Only Censorship!I joined this app because I love the fact that there was free speech. My posts were basically of other individuals from Clapper or from the other site where I always removed their name from the video when I placed it on Clapper. Glitchy and ripped contentThe app is riddled with glitches and the content is garbage ripped from other sites. Their mantra “freedom of speech” is equally as glitchy, as they appear to use the phrase to lure people in, then apply a social justice type of oversight panel to declare what’s acceptable...better hope ideological views align. Finally, the effects and other features/sound libraries are very limited.
