Clapper got social media RIGHT!I’ve been on clapper for several months now. I enjoy it so much because it’s so different than other social media sites. This is the first social media app with video content creation that got social media right! Here they combat bullying the right way. They don’t allow the toxicity like on other social media platforms. You get to personally chat with the employees of the app. Clapper allows the community to get together and allow our voice to be heard. Aside from that, this app is also fun! The gifts in lives are great, the radio is unique, the highlights during holidays and the groups are fun! Not only have I met amazing acquaintances, I’ve also made real true friends that I can now talk off the app. The app is nearing on its 1 year Birthday/Anniversary…Yes there has been some glitches and some things that some OG’s have had to adjust because of something that is out of Clappers control. An honest reviewI downloaded a few days ago, It’s hard to get used to if you’re joining with the expectations that it will equate to tiktok. actually I personally like it much better after fixing my algorithm. there are no filters at all when recording which i have no problem with, it seems to discourage insecurities from being created and fed into in the app. you can upload videos still so this doesn’t limit you from editing your posts. the thumbs down button will take content off your foryou page, this is awesome however if you accidentally click it on a video you enjoy, say asta la vista cause you'll never see it again. personally I LOVE the fact that both spanish and english posts are in my feed. i’d like to broaden my horizons, not shrink them. but if you’re choosing one language over another, say not interested on the language you don’t want. the community is much better here but I do wish the algorithm didn’t look like an onlyfans page before the algorithm gets your likes right. it was very unpleasant to have to say not interested about 50 times before it understood i’m not interested at all in that content. group chats help to find your niche community faster. this app has some great features and hopefully can keep up with the rise in traffic on the app. people in the community are also not extremely fragile like in tiktok. you can disagree and still get along. as it should be, cause no one agrees on everything..Cheese on a stranded farmVersion: 9.6.6

High potentialI was recruited to this app from being seen on a different platform I’m a creator on. I enjoy having an app that focuses on freedom of speech, politics, point of views- things that a lot of viewers don’t want to see on other apps. This app gives the ability to create content on these topics that others can engage with. On my other platforms my content isn’t based around content like this. Those apps aren’t created for those topics that this app is specifically for. I enjoy to step away from my other content and have the ability to share my thoughts/beliefs on here. I enjoy having a like and dislike option. The reason I give 4 stars is for 2 things I dislike. 1- the quality of a video I create and shared onto here is horrible! Clapping furiously for Clapper!Clapper is a relatively new social media app that is quickly gaining popularity. Clapper VS. TikTokI’m still new to clapper so I can’t give it 5 starts just yet. I’m still struggling with learning how to get videos on the FYP and learning about the editing features. Here is what I can tell you. Yes TikTok has lots more features when it comes to filters and editing. Sure that can be fun but it’s also very fake. You follow people not knowing who they truly are. On social media yoj can be whoever you want. You can crest this whole fake life and image but even more so on TikTok. On clapper you can see people for who they are and creators tend to be much more authentic on there. Sure it’s a bit sluggish and they have some work to do. Especially with the mass influx of people coming over from TikTok but guess what. You can be your self. Much better than tiktok but also has room to improveI came to clapper from tiktok and the difference is astounding! I am actually able to post all of my content freely without being blocked or banned for no reason! The algorithm is made a lot more clear and moderation is held to a exact guidebook and not just personal opinion. The community is generally nice and if they don’t enjoy the content they typically just scroll. That being said, there’s always room for improvements! I do think that clapper should have more editing features and introduce some “effects” or filters. I know that they don’t want to just copy tiktok completely but being an app focusing on lifestyle, blogging, and educators a few effects and editing features would defiantly improve creation. I tend to make videos on tiktok still and then reupload to clapper which is troublesome. I also would like to see a bit more improvement to the audio selections as well as organization! Love Clapper!!🥰🥰For a new App, it is fantastic! I find so many wonderful things that TikTok doesn’t have. You can Duet in your Live! You don’t have to have 1000 followers to go Live as with TikTok. It’s fineThe app is geared towards social interaction. I see it as a place to kinda stir up drama as it seems best fit for creators that have very strong and controversial opinions. You can “clap back” at another creator in the way you can stitch/duet on tiktok. But a lot of the videos I’ve seen like that make it seem like you can’t mute or quiet down the original video as it always plays over yours in the corner of the screen. Some of the content is good but a lot of it is just mundane life. I think this app has potential but I could never suggest it as a replacement for tiktok without some major upgrades. Quality of video is poor after uploading, there’s no ability to use audios in the way you can use them on tiktok and the editing is bare minimum. I’m gonna use it and see if I can develop content for it that suits the platform better but it’s definitely not the next tiktok like people seem to be saying. Awesome appI honestly think this app is awesome... there are negatives to it but overall I think it’s a great app... some things I would recommend is adding more stuff that’s different from tik tok... Needs a lot of fixes for a new releaseIt’s the 17+ version of TT which is awesome for video microbloggers who don’t want an audience of minors, however the app needs a lot of work. Sometimes while scrolling, you’ll still hear the audio of the last video you were on while the current video is playing. Often while clicking “like” while a video is playing, the video will abruptly stop, causing the user to scroll back and return to the video and restart it to finish it, which affect the amount of views the video is actually getting, or looking like the user is “spam liking” the video. The algorithm needs some serious tweaking. It’s a great app for all users but if my interest isn’t gun collecting, it doesn’t make sense to see them in my FYP repeatedly. If they aren’t truly moderating their content while supporting free speech, it’s going to be a slippery slope and end up like Parler. The blocking system needs fixing. I should be able to block and not see the user ever again. All other apps do this. Adults want to play with cute filters too, come on! While uploading a video, it looks like there’s some double-processing going on before it’s even uploaded? It took forever to get to “edit” the video, and THEN publish it. Great PotentialI was brought over from TikTok. I am a part of the CoinFamily and we focus on coins and helping each other out. I am beyond amazed at what Clapper has to offer. Here are some suggestions I have though. • Camera Zoom function during Lives • A Web browser site that can be accessed online not just the app • Higher Quality Video; I have a iPhone 13 Pro and when I go live it looks like I’m using a iPhone 3. • More editing to videos made, there’s not really filters and effects you can add to the “Claps?” Videos you make. Free speechDuring these trying times, we all need a voice. Sadly, tyrannical social platforms are silencing opinions of those that don’t play along with their rhetoric. Clapper on the other hand is a platform where people from both sides of the aisle have an opportunity to share their political opinions and religious beliefs. The user interface is very similar to that of Tiktok. Clapper has an advantage over TikTok on a few aspects. They have “groups” which is a great way for people to hold group conversations. Needs improvement, but good start.There are some big things I feel Clapper is lacking just from skimming the user interface and setting up my account. Please give us a choice to show comments or not. I personally don’t want others to see what I’ve commented on. Feels very intrusive. Dark mode toggle would be wonderful. Everything on my phone is dark mode. Right now Clapper is not fun to use bc of how bright it is. Generally annoyed the app just, randomly gave me 30 creators to follow. There are no filters, filming feels very bare minimum compared to tiktok. No auto caption feature, I hope that gets added quickly. It’s something ppl have been asking tiktok for a long time (technically it’s not out for all users so it’s still not out), so having that would be a big boost for this app. Same problem with the interface of the app covering up videos- can it be toggled/disappear after a few seconds? Reappear if you tap on the screen or pause? I can’t put a finger on it, but visually something about the app is bugging me. I think it’s bc it’s too close to tiktok, so it very obviously looks wrong. Clapper is Home But Needs Some FixingI love clapper. Been there for over 2 years, met so many awesome people. However… they are hyper focused on new updates and adding new features but seem no so much focused on fixing the issues we already deal with. For example, the app crashed twice last months, people’s shop orders are being cancelled for no reason, clapper refuses to ban nudity even tho it’s right in the guidelines. They in fact have several VERIFIED NSFW creators on the app, but ban smaller accounts for nudity when it wasn’t even happening. The app has SO much potential, it’s already amazing. But fixes need to be prioritized. Maybe beef up your servers aswell. Update* - I WOULD email that support if they ever responded. They stopped answering me almost a year ago. That email is useless. Great but needs work...I will get right too it: Pros: it has a basic, easy to use operation system. It records 2 min of video. The videos are clean cut and easy to view. The profile page is basically similar to Tiktok. Cons: No lip sync feature (which is what truly draws most people to Tiktok). It has no zoom in or out or even tools to animate the video like Tiktok does (another key factor to people wanting Tiktok over other apps). You can’t edit your video to add interesting features or transitions. (Again, Tiktok feature). The biggest con is the music selection there is no search ability—you have to scroll through everything! There is NO RESTRICTIONS for people who want CLEAN content (no half naked kid twerking or whatever EW!). That is a MAJOR draw for Tiktok because it allows people to stay away from UNWANTED content. It also keeps FREEZING and the downloads take forever! I have fast internet/cell service but the downloads take forever! Otherwise this app is a great app... for BASIC recording. Awesome AppThis app is so easy to use. Love the features and the ability to link up all my social media accounts. The developers and designers have done an extraordinary job with this one. Looking for freedom of speechGrowing app still has bugs to work out. Features are limited yet easy to maneuver. I see there is censorship here too as I have experienced violation of videos inaccurately claiming “conspiracy theory” when I provide a video of a piece of technology that is “patented” and “documented” as in existence. This is aggravating when I know it’s. it is not a violation but maybe the person they hired to view the videos has little knowledge or possibly unable to decipher between facts and theory. We have to dispute the violations that clearly were not in violation. The persons viewing videos should be non-bias person with the abilities to understand when a video of displaying new technology electronic device with a verifiable patent number, it cannot possibly be “conspiracy theory” yet an electronic device with a patent number. Too smallI found this app as an alternative to TikTok that doesn’t ban you weekly. I hope to post here alongside TikTok, but it just doesn’t have a user base. Most of the videos on the FYP have less than 500 likes. I think the most liked video was the introductory one at 10k. My 2nd video on TikTok got 250K views overnight. Currently sitting just under 900K and 61K likes. I think they could do some advertising and change that, but they haven’t. It’s got potential but they haven’t used it. Also the TikTok FYP has a +1 against this. On TikTok, the FYP is 5% viral videos that you usually enjoy, 5% “starter” videos that were recently posted to see how big they get, and 90% random videos in your most liked categories. On Clapper FYP, it seems like 100% starter videos. Very few of them have been enjoyable. The 2 most recent videos were a guy pouring alcohol in a glass and some lady talking about her dog that passed a few years ago. Who wants to watch that? Not me. Very nice alternative to tiktokTiktok has a CGV reporting system that has been weaponized. Clapper has a different system. It’s harder to get shutdown just bc someone disagrees with you. The app is only a year old and needs work. It’s not as advanced as tiktok. However, if they can grow and keep their reporting system in such a way that it won’t be weaponized and frivolous, this place will surpass them. It’s 17 and up. That’s a plus for me as well. The radio feature is great. The groups feature is nice too. Both of those allow you to get to know others with similar interests. Better Than I ThoughtApplication wise it’s alright. I haven’t uploaded yet so I haven’t experienced the problems others talk about like sound & video not syncing. The functions are fairly easy to navigate and it’s easy to scroll through content. Passable AppI’ve been using clapper for about four days now, giving it a try in preparation for a possible TT ban. So far Clapper does most of what I need it to do, though it does feel slightly more clunky than TT—which in and of itself has some interface drawbacks. I’m a little put off by lack of editing options, as well as the feeling that developers are trying to drive users into creating specific types of content. I.e. Their message, “We want you to be yourself. Don’t try to be an entertainer.” But I’m not really much of a creator. My concern is for my friends that are creators. CLAPPER is a rising starI love that on CLAPPER you can be yourself and you don’t have to fear being ‘banned’ for who knows what like on that OTHER app. It’s pretty easy to use; my only issues are the sound when I record is horrible on playback and despite my best efforts, what I record, and see during recording, is NOT what winds up in my final video. It always seems like either the top or bottom is cut off. Also, when I watch other people’s videos if they have text on the screen it is often cut off. Needs some final touchesFairly new to the app.. BUT!! We got some issues.. Notifications: there is ALWAYS 1 message!! No matter what you open in the messages, there is always 1 in the notifications! Tiktok but make it IdiocracyDidn’t like the videos on my feed. They were all really not great at all. No Free Speech Here...Only Censorship!I joined this app because I love the fact that there was free speech. My posts were basically of other individuals from Clapper or from the other site where I always removed their name from the video when I placed it on Clapper. That site was and is very censored, when it comes to Conservative speech. Over a week ago I went to go post something on Clapper and it prompted me to sign on, which I thought was weird. I tried to sign on and it said that there was something wrong with my account. I reached out to the Help desk and was told they would check. Next, I get a message from a Karlo stating that I should be back up within 24 hours and that I should remove videos that were misinformation. 😠 I waited 48 hours and still was not able to sign on. I emailed again and asked them to restore my account so I could remove my videos to a site that actually is for free speech. It’s going on two weeks and I have not received any response or my account restored. I had over 10 thousand followers, now that is all lost. I can say one thing about the other site, they at least inform you what they are doing and why they did it. Clapper just shutdown your page without any warning, and lie to you about it. Glitchy and ripped contentThe app is riddled with glitches and the content is garbage ripped from other sites. Their mantra “freedom of speech” is equally as glitchy, as they appear to use the phrase to lure people in, then apply a social justice type of oversight panel to declare what’s acceptable...better hope ideological views align. Finally, the effects and other features/sound libraries are very limited. I have no issue with a new startup app trying to garner attention and gain users, but their tactics are pretty sketchy and what is allowed to happen is questionable (it’s insulting to original content creators), there are so many stolen videos from other similar sites in particular TikTok, it’s like a cheap knockoff, with so many less features. The top 40 thing for DND needs workCame here from another app that was overly censoring broadcasters. The DND mode on this app needs a lot of work. I’ve only been on a few days but I’m about to delete it because there’s nothing more frustrating than tipping a broadcaster real money and then getting removed by the app when you don’t make the 40 person cut and have no way of knowing how much you have to gift to get back up there. The viewer list should show how much each person has gifted like other apps do. It feels very underhanded that they don’t show this.
