My new go to social appThis is the closest app I have found to TikTok and you can monetize on six different levels from what I understand from what I’ve read from the Clapper information page and I definitely think if you’re looking for someplace to go after TikTok being banned this is definitely a great option You should definitely at least give it a try and see what you think. You will have to turn off Trina feature if that’s not something you’re looking to see because they aren’t as strict as TikTok when it comes to those kinds of things, but there is an option to turn it off. You have the ability to shield yourself from seeing certain things that you might not want to see but check it out it’s worth a shot. Little disappointed!Just started using this app today first I’d like to say that I am a little disappointed because it doesn’t have nearly as much features as other apps do, like TikTok or CapCut. I could only trim my videos. I can’t edit them in any type of way or add any special effects to them. I can’t even add any stickers to them. As far as the font, I am not a fan of because other than just changing to a different color or adding a highlighted background to it, there’s nothing else that you can do. You can’t change the font style, can’t change the format of the font, but at least I can set a duration time🤷‍♀️. I wish that the app had more editing tools to create some cooler content! I feel like it’s a little boring compared to TikTok or CapCut or other social media apps. Oh also doesn’t have nearly as much music or sounds to choose from. An honest reviewI downloaded a few days ago, It’s hard to get used to if you’re joining with the expectations that it will equate to tiktok. actually I personally like it much better after fixing my algorithm. there are no filters at all when recording which i have no problem with, it seems to discourage insecurities from being created and fed into in the app. you can upload videos still so this doesn’t limit you from editing your posts. the thumbs down button will take content off your foryou page, this is awesome however if you accidentally click it on a video you enjoy, say asta la vista cause you'll never see it again. personally I LOVE the fact that both spanish and english posts are in my feed. i’d like to broaden my horizons, not shrink them. but if you’re choosing one language over another, say not interested on the language you don’t want. the community is much better here but I do wish the algorithm didn’t look like an onlyfans page before the algorithm gets your likes right. it was very unpleasant to have to say not interested about 50 times before it understood i’m not interested at all in that content. group chats help to find your niche community faster. this app has some great features and hopefully can keep up with the rise in traffic on the app. people in the community are also not extremely fragile like in tiktok. you can disagree and still get along. as it should be, cause no one agrees on everything..Cheese on a stranded farmVersion: 9.6.6

Disappointed and Frustrated with Clapper App SupportI’ve been a loyal user of the Clapper app for over four years, and I must say, my experience lately has been incredibly disheartening. Much better than tiktok but also has room to improveI came to clapper from tiktok and the difference is astounding! I am actually able to post all of my content freely without being blocked or banned for no reason! The algorithm is made a lot more clear and moderation is held to a exact guidebook and not just personal opinion. The community is generally nice and if they don’t enjoy the content they typically just scroll. That being said, there’s always room for improvements! I do think that clapper should have more editing features and introduce some “effects” or filters. I know that they don’t want to just copy tiktok completely but being an app focusing on lifestyle, blogging, and educators a few effects and editing features would defiantly improve creation. I tend to make videos on tiktok still and then reupload to clapper which is troublesome. I also would like to see a bit more improvement to the audio selections as well as organization! High potentialI was recruited to this app from being seen on a different platform I’m a creator on. I enjoy having an app that focuses on freedom of speech, politics, point of views- things that a lot of viewers don’t want to see on other apps. Clapper VS. TikTokI’m still new to clapper so I can’t give it 5 starts just yet. I’m still struggling with learning how to get videos on the FYP and learning about the editing features. Awesome appI honestly think this app is awesome... there are negatives to it but overall I think it’s a great app... some things I would recommend is adding more stuff that’s different from tik tok... It’s fineThe app is geared towards social interaction. I see it as a place to kinda stir up drama as it seems best fit for creators that have very strong and controversial opinions. You can “clap back” at another creator in the way you can stitch/duet on tiktok. But a lot of the videos I’ve seen like that make it seem like you can’t mute or quiet down the original video as it always plays over yours in the corner of the screen. Some of the content is good but a lot of it is just mundane life. I think this app has potential but I could never suggest it as a replacement for tiktok without some major upgrades. Needs a lot of fixes for a new releaseIt’s the 17+ version of TT which is awesome for video microbloggers who don’t want an audience of minors, however the app needs a lot of work. Sometimes while scrolling, you’ll still hear the audio of the last video you were on while the current video is playing. Often while clicking “like” while a video is playing, the video will abruptly stop, causing the user to scroll back and return to the video and restart it to finish it, which affect the amount of views the video is actually getting, or looking like the user is “spam liking” the video. The algorithm needs some serious tweaking. It’s a great app for all users but if my interest isn’t gun collecting, it doesn’t make sense to see them in my FYP repeatedly. If they aren’t truly moderating their content while supporting free speech, it’s going to be a slippery slope and end up like Parler. The blocking system needs fixing. I should be able to block and not see the user ever again. All other apps do this. Adults want to play with cute filters too, come on! While uploading a video, it looks like there’s some double-processing going on before it’s even uploaded? It took forever to get to “edit” the video, and THEN publish it. Needs improvement, but good start.There are some big things I feel Clapper is lacking just from skimming the user interface and setting up my account. Please give us a choice to show comments or not. I personally don’t want others to see what I’ve commented on. Feels very intrusive. Dark mode toggle would be wonderful. Everything on my phone is dark mode. Right now Clapper is not fun to use bc of how bright it is. Generally annoyed the app just, randomly gave me 30 creators to follow. There are no filters, filming feels very bare minimum compared to tiktok. No auto caption feature, I hope that gets added quickly. It’s something ppl have been asking tiktok for a long time (technically it’s not out for all users so it’s still not out), so having that would be a big boost for this app. Same problem with the interface of the app covering up videos- can it be toggled/disappear after a few seconds? FIX IT JESUSThe app was GREAT up until the last week. For several days now, comments on lives are whacky, whether delayed, or non existent, or out of order of how they were sent. Lives themselves will bug out and show NSFW tags, but not be NSFW at all, live bubbles aren’t showing up after like 5 minutes of creator being live, making it impossible to find your way back. At times, you can’t even get the app to OPEN for awhile. Lives won’t load sporadically (for many users, not my own WiFi data issue- it’s widespread). Issues are so bad that you have NUMEROUS LARGE accounts creating accounts on new platforms to jump ship if issues aren’t resolved quickly. It should not take this long to push a patch or roll back the buggy update to fix the issue until y’all get it together. Unacceptable..KeriiiiiiiiiiiVersion: 12.3.3

Clapper is Home But Needs Some FixingI love clapper. Been there for over 2 years, met so many awesome people. However… they are hyper focused on new updates and adding new features but seem no so much focused on fixing the issues we already deal with. For example, the app crashed twice last months, people’s shop orders are being cancelled for no reason, clapper refuses to ban nudity even tho it’s right in the guidelines. They in fact have several VERIFIED NSFW creators on the app, but ban smaller accounts for nudity when it wasn’t even happening. The app has SO much potential, it’s already amazing. But fixes need to be prioritized. Maybe beef up your servers aswell. Update* - I WOULD email that support if they ever responded. They stopped answering me almost a year ago. That email is useless. Jungle disapproves!While only being on Clapper for a short time, I have found the experience enjoyable and rewarding! I believe Clapper has a winning product in the field of social media. Great but needs work...I will get right too it: Pros: it has a basic, easy to use operation system. It records 2 min of video. The videos are clean cut and easy to view. The profile page is basically similar to Tiktok. Cons: No lip sync feature (which is what truly draws most people to Tiktok). It has no zoom in or out or even tools to animate the video like Tiktok does (another key factor to people wanting Tiktok over other apps). You can’t edit your video to add interesting features or transitions. (Again, Tiktok feature). The biggest con is the music selection there is no search ability—you have to scroll through everything! There is NO RESTRICTIONS for people who want CLEAN content (no half naked kid twerking or whatever EW!). That is a MAJOR draw for Tiktok because it allows people to stay away from UNWANTED content. It also keeps FREEZING and the downloads take forever! I have fast internet/cell service but the downloads take forever! Otherwise this app is a great app... for BASIC recording. Great PotentialI was brought over from TikTok. I am a part of the CoinFamily and we focus on coins and helping each other out. I am beyond amazed at what Clapper has to offer. Here are some suggestions I have though. • Camera Zoom function during Lives • A Web browser site that can be accessed online not just the app • Higher Quality Video; I have a iPhone 13 Pro and when I go live it looks like I’m using a iPhone 3. • More editing to videos made, there’s not really filters and effects you can add to the “Claps?” Videos you make. Other than those things I think this is a really solid platform. I love that you can do shop lives, list items to your shop and you’re not charged an arm and a leg like other places *cough cough*… If I could get some type of editor or reply from one of the devs maybe saying that they’ll work on getting these things or at least look into it. Potential alternative to TikTokThis app has potential. I like that it has similar look and feel to TikTok. In light of the quickly approaching ban, this developer has an opportunity to attract TikTok users who need a new home. The problem with the app right now is the sketchy and inappropriate content. You need to clean things up for everybody, especially so teens can join without being exposed to creepers and deviants. Too smallI found this app as an alternative to TikTok that doesn’t ban you weekly. I hope to post here alongside TikTok, but it just doesn’t have a user base. Most of the videos on the FYP have less than 500 likes. I think the most liked video was the introductory one at 10k. My 2nd video on TikTok got 250K views overnight. Currently sitting just under 900K and 61K likes. I think they could do some advertising and change that, but they haven’t. It’s got potential but they haven’t used it. Also the TikTok FYP has a +1 against this. On TikTok, the FYP is 5% viral videos that you usually enjoy, 5% “starter” videos that were recently posted to see how big they get, and 90% random videos in your most liked categories. On Clapper FYP, it seems like 100% starter videos. Very few of them have been enjoyable. The 2 most recent videos were a guy pouring alcohol in a glass and some lady talking about her dog that passed a few years ago. Who wants to watch that? Not me. This is a tough oneOn the one hand, it has the potential to be a great app. The reason why I think a lot of TikTok refuges went back to TikTok was that in this platform, all the lives are basically people naked, teasing sex and whatnot. No Free Speech Here...Only Censorship!I joined this app because I love the fact that there was free speech. My posts were basically of other individuals from Clapper or from the other site where I always removed their name from the video when I placed it on Clapper. I emailed again and asked them to restore my account so I could remove my videos to a site that actually is for free speech. The top 40 thing for DND needs workCame here from another app that was overly censoring broadcasters. The DND mode on this app needs a lot of work.
