I am in loveWhy have I only just learned about this app?! Having spent only a short while in the app, adding feeds and generally ‘kicking the tires’, oh my goodness what a fantastic app this is. Already used the tip jar. I run my own self hosted RSS aggregator and my goal was always to find a workable full-text rss system. Something that truly provides the articles in full form. I got about 70% close to that goal. But now I’m already thinking that’s going to get torn down in favor of using this app instead. Wow!I am so glad I found this. It is definitely worth the $10. First, to the devs: thanks for not being a subscription. And thanks for respecting privacy. The review: you can adjust this in seemingly EVERY way. You can have specific feeds open directly in the in-app browser, or in reader mode. So, depending on the behavior of the feed, it will remember what to do. Do you hate it when the app header scrolls away like I do? You can change that. Easily adjust font sizes. Can organize the feeds - not just one l long list. The customization that you can do goes on and on. AND - they respect your privacy..Shawnster_PVersion: 5.0.16

Excellent!!!I live in a rural area with weak cell service. When the power goes out we’re totally offline. Automatic Full-text caching is the feature that sold me on this app. Everything works well and is quick and smooth. Nice UI and intuitive controls. I also appreciate the Standalone option, lack of data collection, and no need for a subscription! Finally, having never used an RSS reader before, the developer was super quick to respond to my silly questions and explain things in a clear, concise, and courteous manner. Use it everydayLire is great. I have tried and paid for many RSS readers and was thrilled to find Lire. Pre-caching is amazing. I love that the app does not collect any user data on you too. I was an original user of Byline and kept coming back to that despite lack of development because the interface felt right. I’ve found that same feeling with Lire and then some! Reeder users on Apple Vision Pro: come here!I’ve been using Reeder on all of my Apple devices, so it’s been a real bummer to not be able to read all of the news on my self-hosted FreshRSS host after I got my shiny new Apple Vision Pro. I gave it a few weeks and there’s still no Reeder option here, so I did a search for “freshrss” to see if any apps claimed support. This is *not* a native app, but unlike Reeder, it *is* compatible as an iPad app. Going for 4 stars now because most of what I need out of a reader is here. Only one minor feature request I wish to see one day: a speed read tool built-in. No RSS reader has ever released this before. Can we get even better support for FreshRSS and Walabag?Love the app, and would tell anyone it is a great option for folks that want to self-host using Wallabag and FreshRSS. Maybe one thing I would change is to default to sync / caching only on Wi-Fi or not at all. My data plan thanks you next month. Can we get lire app to support labels properly on FreshRSS? If I add a label to FreshRSS, it shows up as a folder in lire. But,that folder doesn't contain anything. It doesn't display any of the items with the label. Showing saved user queries would be nice too, but one request at a time, I suppose. Okay, I lied. I would also like to request that a single swipe option to save an article directly to Wallabag. Great readerI’ve tried several RSS readers over the years and most of the popular ones included. They’ve all mostly either been missing features, subscriptions based or had performance problems fetching feeds. Lire gets it right and for a reasonable one-time price. Excellent lireLire is my favorite rss application, but I have not been able to experience all the features of lire due to the language barrier. Text formatting needs workThis is the only RSS reader I’ve found that actually does what it claims as far as automatic full text caching. Unfortunately, the deal breaker for me is this is one of the worst with rendering text. I’m a software developer and read a lot of articles with code snippets, and most RSS apps will properly handle the text indentation. Sadly, lire just flattens it all to the left margin. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. In the meantime I’ll be using a different app that offers a better reading experience..BoneboxVersion: 4.0.14
