Got it for the soundtrack, stayed for the gameI pre-ordered this game as a fan of Eunha, who sings the soundtrack song. I didn’t think I would play it. I don’t play many games and haven’t been interested in golf games for a long time. But I’m hooked! I play this daily. Play is fast and fun. Controls are good. The worldwide interaction is fun and well matched, and the “versus” events against each in-person player are short and sweet. I never feel overwhelmed by getting in a long match with someone far superior, as has happened in other online games. The various solo play options are great and are where I spend most of my time. I can’t explain it, I just really like it. While still being stuck at home, this game has made recent weekends more bearable as something to pass the time and have some fun. Good, but unfairI really enjoyed playing this game, but I got frustrated and quit due to the gotcha mechanics. I put in so much work, and even some money, yet never got the costume I wanted. Even when it said “Choose a characters costume” it actually meant, choose a character and we’ll give you a random one. Then when I finally got a legendary costume it was either for the wrong person, or it was the SAME legendary costume I got before. So you mix all the legendary costumes you don’t care for to get one that you still don’t care for. It was a lot of work to build up the characters and to draw for costumes on a daily basis. I got all the high points for the events and everything. But in the end, I just wasted my time and money. Fun game, but if you want the nice costumes you either have to be extremely lucky, have tons of hours to grind, or pay lots of money. There need to be a function of “Get this amount and choose a legendary costume of your choice.” That would have kept me coming back because at least there would be an option I could work for..Serene theVersion: 2.3.1

A Pretty Fun Take on (Anime) GolfI’ve only been playing for a short while but so far I’m enjoying Birdie Crush for what it is: an anime-style gacha golf game. If none of that sounds remotely appealing to you - any of it in any way - then you probably won’t like this game…at all. Alas, if you know what you’re getting yourself into then this is a polished, fun, light-hearted, anime dress-up simulator with a golf side game that’s sure to make you smile. It’s a silly title with lots of modes, currencies, costumes, characters, equipment, and IAPs. If any of this sounds fun / tolerable to you then perhaps you ought to give it a go. Note: What’s keeping this game from being a 5-star experience (so far) is the unstable server. I’d say at least 40-50% of my attempts to login to the game are met with server failure codes, and judging by the Discord this has been an ongoing community experience for a while. Best golf gameI play a couple golf games and this one is the best. You don’t have to pay anything to play, it gives you quite a few coins and gems for free (I did by the birdie pass but it doesn’t cost a lot compared to other games) The only thing I have a problem with is I can’t find chat. There is a board to post on in my club menu but no one uses it. Chat popped up once with someone saying hi so I know there is chat but I don’t know where to find it but that’s a minor issue. Anyway, definitely try this game. I read a few other reviews where people complained about the servers. It does take like 10 seconds to load but beside that I’ve had no issues. Played this back in beta.…and that was like what, years ago? Feels that way. I remember playing Martina and having a punk schoolgirl outfit and an electric guitar lol. But that was beta, so of course my account has nothing of the sort. You guys didn’t even award me with some kind of “bonus for being a beta player”… or maybe y’all did and I wasn’t aware since I never got a notification that this game came back from the grave. Anyways, I do enjoy the game for the quirky golfing, but I personally don’t know how long I will stick around due to all of these RNG factors running rampantly. Great gameThis game is well made and the Graphics are nice. This game came out yesterday and it’s really fun to play and there’s many area to unlock and 4 characters to choose from. There’s also competitions and events for you to do if you ever get bored. I like how this game included different options whenever you want to try to be the best or you want to take it chill and not really try to win. There’s also a Gacha in this game where you can try to unlock accessories and outfits for your characters to make them look nice you can either use the gems that you can get from playing games and completing achievements and coins. Needs workLots of issues. Extremely long load time for first load and when I click on the current rank for my pvp stuff it pops up a load icon and counts down from 10 and hits zero and restarts. Also the tri mode is bugged. The missions it has don’t register sometime. Several times I’ve definitely completed the objectives but it doesn’t register. For instance there was one that said to get 0-10yds away on approach and I got 5.4 yds, 6yds, 6.1yds and it still said I failed despite every round getting it in the range. Also the team ranking has an issue. The gameplay is a disasterI wanna start off with some nice things: The game has really nice graphics and I can see someone really enjoying this game however.... I mostly play these games for the gameplay and for me it’s a HUGE disappointment. When you do a match it starts off as fun but all of the endings say that it’s “bogey” and it’s like this every single time I play and it gets really frustrating. Great Game with Overzealous MonetizationEssentially a Pangya clone on mobile, but make it so that it costs at least $100 to get an outfit you want. Literally everything is gacha based unlesss you want to pay $28 for ONE outfit. Also hate the fact that I’m essentially forced to play the “loli” character because she has one of the best skills for other characters and I’m so tired of getting items for her. Overall, the monetization for this game is draconian and honestly might ruin it for me. Decent but inconsistentThings to like here but also plenty to annoy you. Once you get a ways into the game the controls become more erratic. A supposedly perfect shot somehow still ends up in the rough or a bunker or some other hazard. Add to that absurd hole layouts where your only tee shot places you behind an obstacle you can’t go over or around and the frustration level grows. Fun but i don’t know why it’s competitive when it’s pay to win?Why develop a rank system when someone who’s bought rank boosters and legendary gear beats you every time? Also important game elements like low and high school are locked until you get to an incredibly high level. The high ranks are locked to those who spend A LOT for gear. My OpinionI do like to play more into this game but there’s too many in-app purchases that decreased my motivation to play. Most of the packs are too expensive vs. a game called Mario Golf. Connection issuesI really love the game, even though its new but the connection time outs, is definitely annoying. Sometime when you tried to click something twice and it doesn’t register, it automatically loses connection and then send you back to the title screen. Nice ideaIts a major problem for a launch date to be so full of problems. As a developer im paying close attention to down time disguised as server maintenance. Since launch and playing , the game has been in "maintenance" 60% of the time. The game has ita issues such as text instructions vanish to quick to read, areas to touch require a bit of guesswork to activate and others. Amazing game but servers perpetually on fireThis is an amazing gacha - the golf mechanics are very solid (reminds me of the old hot shots series) and the power ups are interesting without being overwhelming. The graphics are insanely sharp and easy on the eyes. There are a variety of modes which means there is always something interesting to do. In-app purchases feel like a good value and so far don’t seem necessary unless you want to try to top the global leaderboard. There are some auto-features but this game mostly seems to require active play. The problem is that even now (feb 20) a couple weeks into the global launch, the servers are still constantly overwhelmed and it is impossible to maintain a stable connection long enough to complete more than a couple of holes at a time. Even temporary disconnects cause the app to reset to the main menu and the re-join feature fails most of the time, forcing a hard reset and counted as a loss. A shame because this is currently my favorite gacha..QeertypoiuyVersion: 2.0.8

Pay to playThis game is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, you’ll play to a point in which you can’t progress further unless you were lucky with the gacha mechanic, which is less than a 1% chance of hitting, or you pay $50ish dollars. Progression requires your character to be able to drive a certain distance, later courses being impossible unless you have a golden driver unlocked which is required to increase your driving stat. I think $2usd dollars a month for a mobile subscription game would be fair, in which the developers come up with new content and challenging courses that don’t require a gacha mechanic. Unfortunately gacha is likely highly profitable, so if you aren’t someone looking to spend money, enjoy what this game is for several hours, although know that you’ll have to walk away..BentoboxbentoboxVersion: 2.0.5
