Apple ArcadeI would like to start off by saying I love Jetpack Joyride. But, that’s all that this is. Except for the fact that you have to pay 5$ a month to play it. I really like Apple Arcade, but all the “+” games are just the original games. It’s not bringing back nostalgia, if I wanted that I might as well just play the original game. It’s still published and is for free. In other Review responses there has been responses of “we are just trying to bring back the original experience”, ok but like where did it go? Like bring back from where? You can still download the same thing but just for free! I understand that apple needs to have these experiences so people want to keep Apple Arcade but this just isn’t the way to do it, it gunks up all your new games with old games that you didn’t really even make. The definition of “+.” (Update)Everyone who has played this has been disappointed do to the lack of new content, which is honestly infuriating. Most people who purchased Apple Arcade because of this game don’t really know that when a game has the label “+” on it, they assume there is new content and/or features. Sadly with Apple Arcade this is not true, as Apple Arcade ports don’t add anything new, they just make the app available to Apple Arcade users. However, this version is considered as a downgrade, as there is no paid content, such as paid vehicles, a third gadget slot, and premium jet packs and vehicle outfits. As everything paid was removed. This however is not the problem me, as I never spent money on the game, and I found the ads in the free version annoying. If you were a fan of jet pack joyride and you don’t want ads, but you never spent money on the game, this is for you. Overall Lacking As A New Game or Even PortingI love the original Jetpack Joyride, and I spent countless hours in it. Although I haven’t played the original for awhile, so I figured I will open up both the original and the + version. The first thing I noticed was that my original record was completely wiped, so RIP all the skins and vehicles I have unlocked. Also, even if my old game save is still available, I cannot find anywhere in JJ+ to migrate save, so it seems I’ll have to restart from scratch anyhow. Then I also noticed that all the event items/skins, and add on items are not there. Since the original game is still supported today and they is ongoing events, I keep wondering why I should play JJ+ if I can get more awesome customization in the original (other than no in-app purchase). I really hope they will be added to JJ+ in future updates. All in all I think I’m having a different idea on what this game should include at initial release, and I can’t help but feeling a little disappointed. Between having to start from 0 again and no new exciting item to obtain (other than the base game + power ups), I don’t really feel very motivated to spend time on it like I used to to unlock everything. Good…I have played Jetpack joyride for years and I love it, and the short story of this game is that it’s just the same thing without adds. Now for some people no adds would be great except that now you can’t get a free revive at the end of a game or double coins collected. Im glad they took out in app purchases, but they just removed everything that could be purchased so if you wanted an extra gadget slot you can’t get one (there are only two in this game btw). Fun time :)Played the original when it came out, I remember trying to find nonexistent secrets and Easter eggs. Saw this and decided to try it out! It’s been a blast to try to 100% complete this (which I think I did back then but I can’t really remember lol) the missions are a nice incentive to keep playing, the lack of ads and micro transactions is a BLESSING and the care and love put into every single detail remind me why I love the game! I don’t know how to feel about itI just started playing the game and compared it to the original version. I was a little disappointed because it’s like the same as the original (even some of the description) but without the adds and In game purchases. But, my interest peaked from the previews, it looks like you can get vehicle, jetpack, etc upgrades. Okay but with some balancing issuesThe game is the same great game minus a bunch of ad stuff, which is amazing, but the newer mobile game design philosophy shows its fangs here nonetheless. Since the game lacks all microtransactions and ads, all the ways to “speed” up the grind for events are gone, so it’s clearly evident they tuned these events for their free version and not the arcade version. It’s a real shame because seeing how awful the grind is to get anything on an event just makes me want to close the app and stay away. Still, I do give it three stars. Even without the speed up mechanics from ads and microtransactions like the coin doubler, the game is still fun to play. Too bad I couldn’t bring my progress from the free account to this version. Great game, 1 bug ruined it allWhen I first downloaded the game, day one, it was cool and all, second day arrives, I can’t get the daily reward from S.A.M. Thought it was some thing to do with me switching up my save file, but every day I played the game, I couldn’t get any rewards from S.A.M.’s daily bonus. Jetpack JoyrideExtremely good and very addicting! This is the game I remember playing as a kid for hours on end! My only issue I’ve run into is it won’t let me purchase the third gadget slot and when I tried to contact support through the app it redirected me to email and then I got an automatic reply saying the email wouldn’t go through because I’m not in the group despite it being a support email address, any help would be appreciated! Unavoidable crashesGreat game, but as soon as I complete a SAM challenge, the game crashes and undoes the run. This wasn’t happening a week ago, so I’m not exactly sure what happened. EDIT: Completed the mission to purchase and use Nerd Repellent, which was bugged and I had to reequip the gadget. Spectacular IdeaI’ve always loved this game, Ive played it since I was 10 and progressed throughout the game. After getting an email about this being available as an Apple Arcade game I was beyond excited. After playing the game for a few hours, I have a few notes. For the players who are looking for a game to grind through, this isn’t really for you. This spin on the game eliminates in-game purchases, so the gadgets and items are much cheaper. The game itself is the same as the regular app, just no ads, so it proves to be a very nice experience; very free flowing. Unlocking the other power ups makes getting coins much worse!I was getting 800+ coins on good runs with only the starting cash dash power up unlocked. I spent the coins to unlock the other 3 powerups, now it’s incredible difficult to collect coins. On good runs I maybe get 250. Very fun!It’s a really fun game that you can play for short bursts and still progress relatively quickly. Love the vehicles, power-ups, etc. It’s all good. Missions aren’t too difficult which is nice. It says in the “stats” page that there are daily challenges, but I am not seeing any? Am I missing something or are they not added yet? Just curious because I can’t find them. Also, hope they keep adding stuff to this game over time so it doesn’t get stale. If you bought the original game don’t waste your time hereThere’s no way to import progress from the original game. If you spent money in the original game or watch a lot of ads to get free stuff, you can’t inherit them here. Even if you spent a lot of time in the original game grinding, you still can’t get any of them here. This lack of progress import made me delete this game immediately and go back to the original game. (Other Arcade games, e.g. Alto’s Lost City, have progress import.) The original game was designed to be a little bit grindy so you either spend money or watch ads, but that increases the level of enjoyment. This game simply removed all of those things without adjusting the economic. What’s left is the less enjoyable part….Cat ChenVersion: 1.1

It’s a good game but it’s a letdown.JJ+ was advertised as Jetpack Joyride 2. This game doesn’t deliver on that premise. It’s literally the base game but with ads and IAPs removed. This normally would be a good thing, except that: - In the base game, ads only serve to double your coins, give you infinite S.A.M. uses, and other stuff. Them not being here means the game is more of a grind than the base game, and it doesn’t add to the base game because ads never intruded on gameplay in the base game. - In the base game, there are many skins and even entire vehicles that cost real money. The “Vehicles” menu button’s icon, the Wave Rider, shows one of these IAPs. Instead of letting the player unlock them with ingame money, they completely removed these features. Most of the IAPs don’t change gameplay THAT much, but when the Vehicles icon contains a vehicle the base game has but the rerelease does not have, that’s embarrassing. This game is what got me to get an Appla Arcade subscription, the idea that there’s a brand new Jetpack Joyride game out there. But this game is just Jetpack Joyride 1.0 without the ads or IAPs. Random unexpected crashesI love this game, having played it on other platforms for years now. This version worked fine for a while but more and more it will randomly crash. Sometimes at the beginning, sometimes at the end before it gets back to the title screen. If at the end it usually forgets whatever progress I made—goals, SAM runs, coins, whatever. I have contacted the developer for support, but their solution—close out of all apps and restart the phone—had no effect. There’s no point in purchasing this gameThe game is literally the same thing as the original Jetpack Joyride with the only change being a + in its name.
