Perfect app!I absolutely LOVE Zen Color!! I’ve had it only a few months but have colored hundreds of pictures. There are multiple different kinds of pictures from various artists that give you plenty of engaging variety. Yes, it is addicting. I love that there is a timer but it only tells you how long it took to color the picture. I especially love the fact that it only counts the time your finger is on the screen and not the multiple minutes you’re staring at the picture trying to find a particular color. Another aspect of the app that I LOVE is the fact that I can hold my finger down on an uncolored space to highlight and fill it in. I like to color in the order I want to see it animate. It’s especially more enjoyable than going in number order. Developers please don’t change this!! My only suggestion to developers would be the ability to see the bonus badge counter - or whatever it is. When you receive a bonus, a little badge counter adds another number to the badge in the top right corner. The problem for me is, I want to click on it because it looks like it’ll “tell you” something. But it appears quickly and disappears. I’ve done everything I can think of to access it, even going into settings, but I'm unable and it’s frustrating. If you enjoy color by number, it is 100% worth paying for the unlocked version. Very relaxing and addictive, beautiful artI had never thought about doing color by Number because I do my own artwork and I would love to be able to choose my colors, but I haven’t ever found anything like that. Just for something to relax with this is wonderful. They have a problem and it’s not actually I think their problem, but it has something to do with a Zinga ad that keeps knocking you out of the app and taking you to your browser and running a virus scan saying that you’ve got all kinds of viruses which is a total scam. When I went to search for this issue on Google, I saw probably 30 or 40 other messages from people all saying this is happening to them from different apps and it was all over the place. I eventually paid for no ads because I love the app and I didn’t really like being interrupted by ads, but I also did it to get rid of the Zynga problem. Somebody needs to sit on them about that. Zynga is never been a company that I like they have been guilty of underhanded things before. However, this app is beautiful. I love the music. I wish I was a little more variety, but I love it and I love, just relaxing that I’ve got a very high stressful life and some days. I just sit and play with this because it just totally chills me out gets rid of all the things out of my mind That are bothering me. So thank you for that. Exquisite PicturesI love doing the “Special” category where lovely shading occurs within each cell shape. The results are honestly breathtaking. My mind focuses on the work and absolutely nothing else, and sometimes I’ll work on them for hours at a time, one after another—the most glorious vacation imaginable, pure relaxation. It’s kind of magical, really. I wish they would provide more variety in the music, though, because listening to the same tune repeatedly for hours is hard to manage gracefully. Still, if the repetition becomes too annoying, I simply turn off the sound and keep working. I think this whole thing is addicting! When not in the Special Category, the pictures of interiors and Victorian houses’ exteriors tend to have garish colors—turquoise walls with pink, orange, purple, and blue furniture inside and all those colors together on the outside. Who could live that way? I’ve stopped working on those types of pictures because they look so silly when I’m through. The same two songs are driving me crazy. There’s a third one that’s very lovely, but it only plays—possibly—once in ten pictures. A year later: pictures in the Special category now only take about 10 minutes to complete. Big blocks fill in all at once rather that, for example, a petal at a time. What’s the fun of that? There’s no challenge left if you do all the work for me! Another year later, these pictures are spectacularly beautiful and make the most amazing greeting cards. Fun coloring appOverall, a nice app. PLUS: You can “relax” and color at your own pace (no timers)! You can indicate all cells of a given color or long-press to select color for a cell. Feedback sound when all cells of a color are completed. Hints/help to find those last hidden small cells (available as rewards or by watching ads). You can pause and complete a drawing for later. This capability is useful as a work-around to “save” a drawing (e.g., just fill one cell) to complete at a later time. You can filter for some topic/content types, but it would be helpful to be able to search drawings by topic or keywords. Although the “like” function (available on some drawings) is helpful in finding similar topics. New drawings are added frequently, but you may have to scroll a while to find one you like (depending on your interests). The App saves drawings by date completed (latest on top). You can snapshot or share completed still, or animate the coloration pattern. MINUS: Resolution, detail, quality, and style of pictures vary widely, with no categorization or explanation. I have found at least five pictures with bugs (that do not color completely), but no mechanism to report the problem. There is no capability (e.g., folders) to organize completed works by subject/topic, theme, type, resolution, or number of cells, etc. Some ads are troublesome/buggy (e.g., don’t mute, ignore close button, don’t show a close button, or loop continuously)..Gmb-mdVersion: 2.2.1

The Best! and I Can Prove It!!!It took me a bit to think out why I love this paint by number so much. At first glance it seems like all the rest. But it is a lot different. First the art work. Some paint-by-number apps are like “oil paintings” while others look just like a color book with black outlines around the colored areas. Zen Color is a nice hybrid. The results are more like watercolors with some thin black outlines. Next thing is that you can keep your finger on the color page without having to go back and forth to the “paint pot”. To change colors just tap and hold for a second wherever you want to color next. This is nice! Another That is really great is that you aren’t moving all over the page tracking down colors. The colors to paint a section are grouped together. Again this means I spend more time doing what I love—painting! Not hunting all over the page or through the colors. The selection of artwork is beautiful. Zen Color also includes a lot if the “special color pages” where there are glitters and special shading to make very pretty pictures. And my favorite part of the app? It is fast!!! Apple keeps pushing their favorite paint by number app which is so slow that I could pick a page to color, then go eat breakfast before the page is ready to color. Really drives me crazy. All in all I really love zen color. Give it a try. I bet you will become hooked on Zen Color too! Nice pretty artAs an artist I didn’t figure I’d appreciate anything where all you do is tap to get a section colored in I would like to be able to pick my own colors for sections but I have to admit I am enjoying this color program. It’s fun to see what the artist used. I’m not a fan of people in pictures so I don’t color those. The options daily are good there are geometric which I color first, there’s landscape, seasonal, animals, wildlife. The only drawback now that I’ve colored about 100 are the ad placements this is very limited on ads thank goodness but there is an ad before the sketch is populated then 1 after you’re done since I color several in a row I get 2 ads one upon completion then another when I click to color another so that makes them back to back but even most of the ads are fun and offer distraction cause they let you play within the ad before they force you out of the ad I don’t like the ads that don’t allow you to play a little bit, I’ve added apps because I was able to play a bit and read reviews. So in the end I love this program and look forward to it every day now. I would highly recommend it. Update: I’ve now colored almost 6,000 pictures and I am finding that the app is repeating pics sometimes the background changes a little like seasonal changes from summer to snow but it’s the same picture most times it’s just a repeat. Plus as you reach higher numbers of pictures colored there are more pics that load at midnight it’s hard to stay up to date. 5 Stars but Not PerfectI’ve completed over 8000 pictures so I guess I like this app - a lot. This app provides pictures for users to color, we do that by selecting sections to color then tapping it to change from white to the intended color. When you color the last uncolored element that picture is completed and presents you a few options to share, save, or proceed. If you fail to color every element the picture remains incomplete, the app remembers where you stopped coloring so you can come back and work on that picture at your convenience. If you’re like me you want to complete every picture you work on, leaving them unfinished rankles. The app knows this and uses this behavior to get us to view more adverts. It ‘hides’ teenie-weenie elements that make it very hide to find and color every element so if you want to complete the picture you need to search endlessly or use a hint - you ‘buy’ hints by viewing adverts. So, you view an advert every time you open a picture and another advert when you buy a hint. It irks me but I understand the incentive to get us to use hints. This app is good at what it does, has few, if any bugs, and is entertaining, if I have to view adverts to use it (because I’m too cheap to pay the in-app fee of $9.99 to eliminate ads) then so be it. No cost to try it, you’ll know fairly quickly if this is for you or not. I think it’s the best paint-by-number app I have found thus far. The app producers make subtle changes to the app fairly often and add new pictures every night so you get new pictures to work on every day. Really nice and relaxingI’m disappointed that I’ve sent a 5 star review about 2 pictures I have in the “my works” that are still not finished. I updated the app and it gave me a color that I’m missing, but when I use the button to get to it it won’t show where it is missing on either one of the two still in question. This has bothered me for quite some time and would like to see it fixed. Is there no one that will at least look into this problem? Please help. This is still my favorite coloring app but I have given up on the Mystery pictures. I just don’t like them even when I’ve finished coloring. I really do like the ones that look like watercolors. The are very pretty when done and sometimes it would be nice to see them framed. I’m adding to this review and the only thing I will comment on is the use of very light colors for some of the pictures. I’m a senior who wears glasses and it is extremely difficult to see what still needs to be colored. I spent the money to get the option of finding any color I missed because it was or seemed to be impossible to find the spot on my own. I also have 2 pictures in “my works” that are finished but it says I have 1 color not used but everything is filled in. Not sure what to do about that. Wasn’t sure about this app but have been pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it. My favorites are the zen, special color, vibrant, and the Mandalas. The music is very relaxing also. So relaxing and fun! Best app I've downloaded in a long timeThis is the best app I've ever downloaded from an ad, if you're thinking about it just do it!! They have a great variety of pictures to choose from and about 5 or 6 new ones are added every day, plus a daily picture. They're vibrant, beautiful, cute, fun, and most importantly for me - super satisfying to complete! After finishing, it plays back a video of exactly how you filled everything in. I love playing around with this feature every once and awhile to make the most satisfying visual of it being filled it. You can download the painting + the video to your device. Another great feature is the ability to synch between devices! I have it on my ipad for at home when I want a bigger screen, and on my phone for any other time. The ads are completely reasonable - usually one when you start a painting, sometimes one when you end, but I work on a painting for 10-30 min at a time so it never feels constant. You aren't interrupted from your painting with an ad. You can choose to watch an ad for a hint if you need it. They aren't super long ads and tend to rotate what it's for instead of always the same 1 or 2 like some other games will do. And, you can make a one time payment of $9.99 to remove all ads and get unlimited hints. I've been enjoying this game for months so I recently purchased, not because the ads bother me, but because I don't mind supporting the devs who made such an enjoyable app AND they add so much new content every single day. FlowersOutstanding Pic’s, and I just can not stop. This is a wonderful world Zen Land I have a permanent vacation here! I AM OBSESSED!!This amazing coloring app has changed my life believe it or not! I was completely addicted to several iOS games and was spending all kinds of $money$ I didn’t really have just to play these money-grubbing games. :( Once I found Zen Color, all that stopped! For a while, I played with ads, but then paid the one time, very small fee to remove ads - TOTALLY WORTH IT! And now, I spend my time coloring all kinds of pictures and sending them to my mom, to my aunties, to my cousin, (who has cancer and loves a cheerful pic everyday) to my kids, and to my friends! There seems to be not just one, but many pictures to fit all these people’s interests, hobbies, tastes and personalities! I 💜love💜the fact that you actually EARN more pictures to color…you don’t PAY for more. I am so tired of in-app purchase games. But, Zen Color is not about that and I really hope it stays that way! Update- Bug was eventually fixed!Used to love this app, extremely addictive until the prior update. Then one day all the completed pictures and rewards went blank. Pictures don’t save, whether in progress or completed. All apps have problems occasionally, but there has been no word about this from the creators or even an announcement letting us know an update trying to fix it was available. For me, apps only continue to draw me in when they return a (usually false) sense of accomplishment. Having the picture vanish on completion definitely removes that for me. So I guess… thanks? I appreciate your altruism in finding a way to break my attraction to your app. Update: Bug was eventually fixed. Recently new artists added and they're great! Still get the same style lovely zen and mandalas as before, but with more variation. The animals are now wonderful. More accuracy and details, more species (platypus!), better poses and backgrounds. The animal emphasis has shifted nicely to beauty over cuteness. Flowers are coming in greater variety of species and color, and the koi are often bright ornamental colors rather than muddy wild carp brown. New butterflies are showing up again, and the new simple category is wonderful for a mental refresher or quick break. Great app, but has some issuesI spend a lot of time with this app, and generally really enjoy it, however, I get frustrated when I spend time coloring in some fine detail only to have it disappear because the color choices were too similar to create any contrast with the background or with other elements. This is especially true with the geometric patterns, which tend to rely on patterns of alternating, but similar, colors. Much of the time, there is not enough contrast to be able to tell the two different shades apart. This is compounded by the fact that the patterns tend to involve two shades of the same color, rather than working with two different colors. The other issue I’ve had, but not as often, is errors in the color coding. There may be a leaf that had one area that is colored brown instead of green for no reason, or there is a blank that should have been filled, but was not, and later on, a different color that I’m working with is used to fill in the blank. It seems as if the creator is in a rush to get done and does a sloppy fix instead of actually correcting the mistake. The themes are starting to feel very repetitive, too. I’m ready for something more than fruit or flowers with a critter of some kind and a house in the background, or nature scenes focusing on a dwelling of some sort. I do really enjoy the “mystery” scenes, which seem to be a recent addition, and the geometrics, including most of the mandalas, but would like to see some of them built on repetitive shapes, more like a tessellation, rather than the eye-straining fine stripes of color..TotalRAHVersion: 1.43.1

Favorite color by number appMy favorite color by number for mindless relaxing is Zen Color. The free version is pretty fantastic for this kind of app. Lots of great pictures, new images all the time. I find the music relaxing. I’ve been doing one before bed. They also let you share and you get bonus images by doing a certain amount of coloring in different areas. Example 3 nature pictures gets you a bonus picture. But even without that there’s lots of images available for free. The animation is cool. The ads aren’t horrible. They only pop up before or after, not while you’re in the middle. Unless you want to earn free hints by watching extra ads. This is so smart since the premise is Zen/relaxation. The only glitch has been every once-in-awhile I can’t get out of the Royal Flush game ad. No X to close out. Please fix this annoying problem. Otherwise very happy. The price to go ad free isn’t bad - $9.99. I will likely pay for it soon as I like supporting well done Apps. As a software tester once-upon-a-time it’s obviously well thought out and cared for. Great variety, fun coloring but only on one device.Only reason I am giving a 4 star is I and I am going to assume most people have multiple devices (I have iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPhone) I would love if there was a way to have this with all of the same pics I have colored on all of my devices and it was the same across the board. Instead on each device I have different pictures colored because it does not share across. Which is crazy in today’s tech. There is no way to update to show what pics you have done on your phone or iPad. Very frustrating. Other than that I have not had many problems, once the music stopped playing but the next day it was back, but to be honest I usually listen to my own music so I will mute it anyways. I read someone said they can’t complete a pic, I have never had that problem and I have colored a lot of pictures. It is a good variety of pics to color. I like the Zen, focus and mandalas. I do have the paid version because I hate ads. So I’m still leaving it as a four star because even though we can now sync, it’s still doesn’t sync it all the way, and my iPad only shows what I’ve done on my iPad and my phone only shows what I’ve done on my phone. And if I’m working on something on my phone. It’ll show that I’m working it on my phone, but it’s not colored. Hopefully the sync will get better..AlyssaGindVersion: 1.48.6

Absolutely love itI originally got this app because my kids kept wanting color by number apps, and all the ones they downloaded were not very good. Very limited colors, poorly bordered cells, simple pictures, etc. I very quickly started using Zen Color myself. Tons of pictures to choose from, loads of colors, cells are well defined whether large or really tiny. Some pictures have over 100 colors, at least one picture I did had at least 3,000 cells. I pretty quickly paid for no ads, since it’s permanent and not a subscription. I’ve done over 100 pictures and don’t plan on stopping. The following two things are about the only negatives I have. These are definitely in the “nit-pick” category of negatives. 1. I wish there was an “undo” function. Some of the pictures I really like doing in order of cell placement, not color number. If I accidentally fill a cell out of order, depending on the picture it can really mess up the flow of the playback at the end. 2. I’d like to be able to slow down the playback speed of the coloring. Some of these pictures are really cool how they get filled in, and I’d like to be able to follow the detail more closely. Amazing!Zen Color is one of the BEST games I have on my phone and iPad. It’s a lot better with apple pencil tho. I love the feature where you can change the background and the sound with it. It’s helped my anxiety A LOT, and always calmed my mind. I like to get those little “two for one” add pop ups in the corner to get more hints and to stack them. (You could get 100 if you wanted to!) I have been with Zen Color for almost 2 years! If ANYONE hates this game, I will cry myself to sleep, because this is THE BEST game on my phone and iPad. I have to say unlimited IS better because you get no ads, and unlimited hints, but what I like about the actual start is that you can stack hints. I love that they organize the HUNDREDS of photos into little sections based on how you’re feeling, AND they give you daily pictures to color. I also love that you can see your pictures that you’re working on, and color those, as well as the pictures you’ve already colored, and redo those if they were fun. I know this is getting long, so i’ll rap it up with one thing, THE LACK OF GEESE. I’m still going to give this five stars, but if you like geese this will disappoint you. Can’t believe this app is freeI’ve been coloring in this app for over a year and I love it. I didn’t think I’d enjoy color by number, but I find it extremely relaxing and satisfying for some reason. This app has soooo many pictures to color, and they’re always adding more. And while it is ad supported, at most I’ll watch one ad before coloring a pic and one after. I’m thinking about buying the ad free version, not because there are too many ads which there aren’t, but because I want to support this app! To the developers, there are two things I would love to see added! The biggest one is I wish there was an option to switch a given color out for a different one (e.g. color #9 is red, I want to change it to pink). Sometimes the color palette just isn’t to my taste, or there’s a lot of a color I don’t like. This would open up a huge amount of creativity with just one little feature. The other is that I would love it if the video replay that you can download would play at the same speed as the initial replay it shows when you finish coloring. The downloadable one is too slow! Good, bad, then good again.Started messing with zen color about three weeks ago. I was still using iOS 16. It worked great and I had a lot of fun. I upgraded iOS 17, all of a sudden the app started having a clicking sound in it. It was very annoying so I deleted the app. I tried reloading the app, but the clicking sound continued, while trying to use the app to paint. Went back there yesterday, found out that there was an upgrade version. Downloaded the app. Started coloring again. Voilà, no more clicking sound! Thank you for fixing whatever was wrong with the app. It's a lot of fun! Although, I have to take many breaks because my eyes get sore after about 30 minutes. Love this appI downloaded this app back in November 2023 and it has been amazing for helping my anxiety and just to relax in general. The ads were a bit annoying so I purchased the non ad version which gives multiple hints and no ads at all. I never use the music I will usually watch a show in the background while I color. I really recommend this app with the ad free purchase, it is $9.99 I believe but it’s 100% worth it if you really enjoy the app. I have colored 1400 pictures and my favorites are the Art Challenge category pictures, they have so much detail and lots of different colors and it takes a little bit longer but the pictures are always so pretty. Normally when I download games on my phone I’ll play maybe for a week then I’ll never play it again but this is one I use frequently on a daily basis. It keeps me off social media because I tend to scroll and scroll and that’s never a good thing. If your looking for a relaxing game and like color by number this is the perfect game! Great program but…..I love everything about this program except it has a tendency to freeze or lock up several times while I’m trying to complete a painting. Sometimes that will last a moment or two, and sometimes much longer. I occasionally have to shut it down and restart it right where I left off. I’m thinking that it might possibly have something to do with my number of completed paintings that have already completed, which is quite substantial. I don’t recall it freezing up back when I first got started with it. I’m flirting with the idea of deleting some of my earlier paintings but I hate to do that. Especially if it doesn’t correct my problem. I am using it on a 9th generation iPad with the latest operating system. I would also welcome the ability to use the program with my device rotated 90 degrees so I can work a painting in landscape mode. Lastly, I can’t figure out how I am supposed to use the bonus features. So I just ignore them. Great program overall though and extremely relaxing. Fantastic App but Lacks Key FeatureThis app is fantastic! I love the pictures available and the great variety in difficulty and subject offered, it’s very easy to use, and once you select a picture the coloring is uninterrupted by any ads. However, it has a major weakness in the inability to simply save a picture for later. While you can select a picture, sit through the ad, begin coloring then exit the picture, and have it saved to your works to be continued later, I find this quite cumbersome and inconvenient. I have no issue with sitting through the ad before I color a picture, and after I’ve completed it. It’s a great app and I understand that since it’s a free app ads are a necessary part of life since I’m unwilling to pay to remove them, the ads are not the problem. But if I’m just scrolling through the available pictures, and I see a few I would like to work on and want to save them for later, this process becomes highly annoying. The ability to simply save a picture to “my works” from the main menu would make this process a lot smoother. If I’m trying to save five pictures to my works so I can find them later, I have to individually select them, sit though an ad for each one, and then color a line or two to be able to save it to my works. A feature that allowed me to save works to my library so I can find them later without that whole process would make this app a lot more user friendly. I really don’t mind the ads when I actually begin to color an entire picture, but it’s just makes the process of saving multiple works so I can find them later such a hassle. OMG LOVE THIS APPSo I got Zen Color a few weeks ago and I AM IN LOVE. I got it because my old coloring app deleted from my phone and I can’t redownload it. I wanted this app because I’m going on a trip soon and need a game for the plane. This app is perfect because once you start a picture, it saves in your progress area that you can access by clicking the “work” button at the bottom of your screen. Once the picture is saved in your progress, you can continue it without Wi-Fi, which is perfect for long car rides and plane trips like the one I just took. Another thing that I love about this app is that you can choose what type of picture you want. At the top of the screen, it lets you pick from tons of different categories, such a vibrant, zen, silhouettes, and mandalas. One more perk of this amazing coloring is that it gives you “accomplishments”. You can always click on your profile and view the achievement that’s next in line for you and try to specifically finish that challenge. There are also three daily challenges. RelaxingRewriting my review after weeks of use: I paid the fee for no commercials after finding the app to be easy to use, no glitches and very relaxing. I hate adds but only remove them if the app is really enjoyable. I love all the scenic landscape designs from various regions around the world. I adore all the animal photos (though I wish they would add a color to the eyes of the animals, and add more animal pictures, especially dogs). I love that you can earn new pictures by performing tasks, which I like. They have daily pictures for each day of the month. Though I typically only color animals or landscapes there is a wide variety of options. I love that each day there are daily add ons. My only complaint is the vibrant/vivid colors. I dont really care for those. I wish they would keep them under vibrant or vivid color section only. Sometimes I pick something to color and once I realize its vivid I just back out and delete it as I dont like the way it looks or how it fills in such a big area with one click. After downloading several apps for coloring this is the only one I kept and paid for as it really is a very easy to use, enjoyable and relaxing app. I did keep another app which does have glitches while sliding the colors which I notice a lot of other coloring apps have, you move the color and they slide too far or its hard to move them. But, I kept this one app as its religious and allows me to color Christian pictures. *I wish this app would add a section for coloring Christian pictures as well so I could delete the other app. Over all this is a great app and I really enjoy it. Very Relaxing Adult Coloring AppThis app is excellent. It has endless themes to color…animals, fashion, people, homes of all types, tropical vibes, country vibes, city vibes, vineyard vibes, vintage vibes, food, antiques, book nooks, seascapes, mountains, sea life, whatever you can think of. They satisfy your need to escape the daily grind, while calming your nerves and increasing serotonin. You can color collections or individual pages. One theme leads to the next and you can save them to finish later if you’re out of free time or just need to rest your eyes. The only complaint I have are the ads. Sometimes when you toggle out of the app or set your phone down for too long, you get hit with an ad. You also have to sit through an ad after you choose your page, before beginning to color, and most recently they started interrupting your coloring time with random ads while you’re actively working on a page. I do wish the color schemes weren’t so similar from page to page. I would rather have a kitchen or home or furniture full of different shades and tones of two or three colors than a whole patchwork of oranges, reds, blues, greens, browns etc. It becomes monotonous to have the same colors across all themes..KCRiedeVersion: 1.84.3

Zen Color is FANTASTIC!I can't tell you how much I enjoy this app. Three weeks and 300 lovely pictures. I am 83 and what a charming way to send pictures to my great grandchildren. This is what other coloring apps are pretending to beI love this app. I never write reviews and I knew I needed to write one for this app because I love it that much. It has a simple yet addictive form of gameplay. The ads that exist are not obtrusive and I’ve never had one pop up while I am coloring, only when opening or leaving a work. The pictures are gorgeous and there are so so many to choose from, without you having to pay to color them. Even the ones marked as Special are free to color, something I initially didn’t think to be the case. I love this app enough that I bought the one time purchase of never having ads ever again along with having unlimited hints. I love that it is a one time purchase and not a subscription. I never pay for subscriptions but I will make a single payment that essentially makes it to where I own the game. The only real critique I have is that I want there to be a search function so if I want to look for, say jewelry pictures, I can just type it in instead of scrolling through the Beauty tab and hoping I find some. Turned into a Favorite, quicklyLots of Pros: Have had this coloring app for several months (I usually delete an app within the first week or two). I spend much of my downtime with it, turning into my favorite game. It seems easier on the eyes than other coloring apps. Once I figured out that you could hold a section with your finger and it would highlight, I loved it even more. I’m going to complain about the slivers in a minute, but there are ample opportunities to earn hints, which is awesome. The sketches are all beautiful and there’s plenty for everyone. The nature landscapes are my favorite (wooded/jungle/rivers). I like anything brightly colored, too. (Cannot have too many flowers. Ever.) Cons: >> I’m doing this for decompression, and it excels in that area - so the pics with the tiny little slivers that you miss and have to hunt forever for ruin the relax effect. I LOVE IT! New pictures every day!I am only 9 pictures in, and I’ve just purchased no ads & unlimited hints. The ads for me were unobtrusive, and it wasn't necessary to unlock anything in the app, I just love my new coloring book soo stinkin' much! I so appreciate the time and attention to detail the artists and developers put into making this! Zen Color relaxes me so much, I can just get lost in it until my iPad actually dies.. It's verging on addicting! I have diagnosed adhd that I’ve been having an extra rough time managing lately, and in my opinion, this app is adhd friendly, and bonus, no risk in losing any markers. ♥︎♥︎ The mystery picture is a blast! There are also achievement badges you can earn as you color your way through the seemingly endless pictures, in a seemingly unlimited variety of categories, that earn you even more pictures! Highly RecommendThe pictures offered suit me well and provide quiet relaxation for me, which is much needed in my busy and stressful life. They also are beautiful when finished. I have recommended this app to others who may enjoy and benefit from coloring as well. I wish there was a version of this app for adults with dementia or other mental challenges, though. The concept of a coloring app is great, but almost all of the pictures in this app contain tiny individual cells that must be found (some not easily ) and colored, that would be too difficult for many and cause frustration rather than it being a calming activity. Other coloring apps that are very simple to color are also geared towards young children and clearly not intended for adults, based on the pictures offered. There is a huge population of mentally challenged adults who could benefit greatly from a coloring app offering very simple, yet mature pictures. Absolutely Amazing and addicting gameI am not sure if those of you reading this review feel the same way I do when reading the positive reviews. I always wonder to myself are these reviews true or are they friends of the developers. I want you all to know to please trust me I am a true reviewer. The reason I started off that way is I wanted to let you know that I have played many color by number games and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING compares to Zen Color. It is an absolutely addicting game. I mean I am up to all hours of the night playing this and mind you I have to get up for work at 5:30am. LOL! I love the rewards you receive after completing the challenges. I will let you all know there are adds. But, the adds are worth it to me. I always tap the add to get the two extra guesses but I try to finish my picture without using my guesses. The pictures are beautiful with a lot of categories to choose from. For the developers if at all possible can you change some of the adds to positive games you are promoting and leave out the family issues and the adult types of adds. My family members play this as well and some of them are inappropriate I feel. 😔. I would like to see you add a holidays category especially Halloween and more fall pictures. If you could Also possibly add a category that has really challenging pictures that would be really fun. Than I will never go to bed. PLEASE DON’T stop adding pictures. Wonderful gameThe coloring pages are varied in difficulty and subject matter, which makes it perfect for my different moods and the degree of mental alertness (I often turn to the ap when I am battling insomnia). I like that I can begin a page and save it for later. I like that watching an ad gives me two hints if I get stuck, so I do not have to spend money using the ap. I really appreciate the daily addition of new pages to color. I love the patterns and mandalas especially. I used tangible, “real” coloring books and colored pencils to relax some years ago, but my arthritis limits the coloring I can do manually because of pain and cramping in my hands, wrists, and forearms. So far at least, this ap allows me to pursue the same relaxation, the same diversion, without the physical cost. My only suggestion for the future? Perhaps once in a while you could feature a page where the colors can be chosen by the colorer rather than being preset by the ap. I don’t even know if this is possible, but it’d be fun. Wrong colors make pictures look ridiculousThis was a 5 star app but recently it started coloring evergreen trees 🌲 in the wrong colors. Evergreens are green 99.9% of the time. They don’t turn red and orange. The pictures seem to be colored by AI 🤖 and there are more and more mistakes every day. Red and orange trees should be seasonal for autumn 🍁 Also orange trees don’t go with spring flowers 🌷like tulips and daffodils. Does this app have an issue with the color green?!?!? More green trees 🌳 please! Way too many pink trees - in nature pink is seasonal for spring and only a small percentage of trees are flowering and pink. Please fix the coloring. This app had such beautiful pictures when the colors were more realistic and a little more neutral and less colorful. Nature is beautiful 😍 it’s the most beautiful thing of all. Please bring back the colors of nature and make the colors match the natural seasons more accurately! Fun AppI want to call this mindless fun, but it’s not really mindless at all. It reminds me more of the “I Spy”, books I used to buy for my children. It’s very fun, especially when it’s something I can complete on my own. Since becoming disabled, this is one of only a few things I can physically do without help from someone else. The images are (mostly), beautiful. That said, some of the details of some of the pictures is way off. A horse with split hooves for instance. Bird & butterfly colorations are way off in some cases. Now if this was advertised as strictly “fantasy themed”, I could more easily accept the differences. But when everything else is clearly reality based, it’s hard to see those split hoofed horses and not cringe. And like I mentioned, it’s not every picture. I’ve only run across a few and so far I’ve finished a good many. Closing thoughts… fun, easy to play and worth buying to be free of the ads. I also like that there are goals and a daily pic to complete. It keeps things going, moving forward. Great for relaxingI didn’t play the game much when I first downloaded it, but now I color at least a partial picture every day, and sometimes I finish several if I have time. It really relaxes me. The music is pleasant, even though it loops, although I wish they would add more of the spa type sound, and I wish we could choose which songs to hear rather than have it just randomly open to one. But if you are tired of the one that opens first, just close and reopen the picture and it will probably be different. It gets repetitive to anyone within earshot, but it’s also part of what helps me relax. I do color pictures with the sound turned off too. There’s a variety of types of pictures too, including a mystery picture. Some have many small parts, others are more simple and don’t take as long. At least six new pictures are added daily. This has become my go-to app in the evening before I fall asleep, or when I just need to take a mental break and decompress during the day. The ads are not overwhelming. Very Engaging!This is a game that not only has a product to enjoy at the end but sparks interest and rewards along the way. Completing a vibrant picture is a reward at the first level. Being able to keep it is a second level. One is rewarded by completing categories of pictures, too! To help maintain interest, the game designers have added help features like automatic sequencing in the color numbers. Even the ads serve a purpose rewarding the player with location support. Mercifully most of the ads are short. Not all, but many are short enough that the player doesn’t lose interest. The most rewarding part of this experience, however, is that the final result is an artistic and satisfying picture. There is depth and dimension in each. I have my preferred category and delight that each day has new pictures for me to color. Need thisIt resets me. I love this app. I used to think how stupid! What a senseless waste of time. But I love to create unique ways of enjoying the animation. Sometimes I do all the blues then greens… it creates a different way of looking at it. Try it! Sometimes I do the main subjects then the background. Or the background and then subjects. You can create a story as well. First there was the barn, then the grass grew and the chickens came out, the horses gathered behind the fence…. You can even do it in numerical order!! Find all 1, then all 2, then all 3…no cheating! You can do races with your friends. My friends and I race to see who can finish the most in 24 hrs. I have more ideas but… I wish I could work for you people! I made these suggestions before, to make these ideas as part of the Game but I’m not sure anyone actually reads these! Love This AppThis is the best digital paint by numbers out there. I have them all and this is the only one I use. I have done over 300 so far and haven’t even knocked a dent in the library or categories they offer and new ones are added daily along with a mystery one weekly and bonus ones for achievements you make. It’s one of the most relaxing and calming apps I’ve found in a very very long time and guess what you don’t have to purchase a thing it’s free and the only ads are when you finish one and move forward to the next one or you have to stop and need to continue later other then that it basically ad free. Relaxing Zen ColorI’m enjoying this app very much. I didn’t intend to purchase because I normally don’t purchase apps over a certain price. The extra few dollars was worth it for me, I’ve colored more than 50 pictures so far. Totally relaxing and fun. The pictures are beautiful, and can be downloaded or shared with others. Purchasing takes away the ads, and gives you unlimited hints when you get stuck looking for those tiny, tiny, tiny numbers. The music is fine, a bit repetitive, but it can be disabled. The only complaint is the app doesn’t sync with other devices. If you download on your phone, your pictures won’t be synced to the iPad. I do recommend this app if you want something for concentration and relaxation. UPDATE: it’s been several months and at least 200 or more pictures I’ve colored and I’m still enjoying this app. It relaxes me. I’m glad I purchased it. Zen colorThis app is the best of all the rest and I have tried them all. The colors are amazing and the pictures are perfect! There is something for everyone. Very addicting! Best coloring app!I am so impressed with this app, I am providing this review unsolicited, as this app has no annoying prompts to review popping up. I am a coloring fiend, both on my devices and irl. I have tried MANY, if not all, coloring apps available in App Store, and this app is just so above the rest. Love it!One thing I can say about this app is that I’m thankful that I can press on the picture to bring up the right color and grayscale filler instead of scrolling through the color dots to find the color every time then I can do one area at a time if I want since I’m on a small phone. Even though I don’t care for the fact that there are many ads…. You do offer for the ads to disappear for a of $9.99. Others want us to pay that much a to get rid of ads, which is crazy. if you don’t know how to have the color come up automatically you need to go and make sure it’s up for automatic color and in the area you want to color and in a second it will you have your color available without doing all that scrolling to get the color dot. This is the one these apps I didn’t know though that you could do this, it would be nice if there was instructions, telling you to check your settings eyecolor in numerous pictures, and then found the the auto color fill. Actually, I forgot what you call it but it’s when you press on a and the grayscale will show, then you press on it, as usual to colored, in rather than scrolling individual #’d color dot. And the response is fast unlike my other that takes three seconds and feels like I’m pressing very HARD. I remember trying to do this on another app and either I didn’t press long enough, or they don’t have the option for auto fill set already. Thank you for a very nice up an experience.. Variety is great, but some things could be betterI love the different options (headings) for coloring that Zen Color offers. I also love that most of the coloring options fill the color in section by section and are just the single color. I don’t like the “special” pages, but I just stay away from those. I’m not a fan of the extremely small areas that are hard to see and/or find to finish the picture. Also not a fan of the numbered colors that are offered in sequence, because I need to zoom in to see smaller areas and I literally get ill moving the picture back and forth. So, I have to color one section at a time and the colors are always out of numerical sequence. That said, at least it’s easy to press on an area and bring up the color I need almost immediately! Which is not offered on other coloring sites I’ve tried. One question though, what happened to the “Autumn” options? I really enjoyed them and how they were all under one title. Mostly pros. One conI love this app. I paid the small fee for no ads and it was totally worth it. Plus by doing so it helps support the developers to keep creating beautiful new content. I use the app as a way to relax, decompress and process the day. It is relaxing. That said I have only one point of input for the developers and it is in reference to the amount of tiny spaces on leaves. I love the creational outdoors pictures and lean a lot in that direction. The number of leaves on some of the pictures (more and more recently) is not a problem. But the number of spaces and tiny tiny spaces and colors is overkill, monotonous and honestly does remove some of the relaxation and joy. It’s also hard on the fingers. Lots of leaves can still be present with about half the spaces to color them. Please rethink this part of the process as it really is the only area that, imho, needs to be addressed. AddictedIt is actually quite relaxing and meditative, calming also. Some of the drawings and their variations in shading are absolute artistry! I have been colouring for almost a year now and I have some suggestions that would increase my enjoyment immensely and probably others’ too. I would like the option to “like”a drawing I see in the library so I could come back to it later to colour; I would like to “like” certain artists or styles so that I would see more of those kinds in my library, for example, I very much dislike cutesy drawings, animals with big eyes, unrealistic models/women, etc. I would like to be able to delete drawings I’ve started colouring that I decided are boring or I don’t like the colours and don’t want to continue. There’s a lot of tepid pinks and skintones that unpleasant. If the colours aren’t pleasing, I won’t continue. That’s my wish list! Overall addictive and enjoyable app!.TksrioVersion: 2.2.2

The problem is not the game but Applovin!The real problem is the pop up video ads! I get watching an ad to get a “light bulb” but not everything you start & finish a picture! There is an ad bar running at the bottom of the screen all the time! The ads they have are gambling app ads & that is something I don’t appreciate seeing! I do not gamble & have the right to not have to see them when I’m trying to color! What if a teenager or a smaller kid downloaded this app? I am sure their parents would not be happy seeing the gambling ads running on what’s supposed to be a family friendly app! Edit. Not only is this game full of gambling ads now, it’s got ads that run over a minute is you try to get extra “lightbulbs”! Love how the developers actually care what the people that use it it think! Relaxing is something you can’t do on this app because you are having to get aggravated looking for the smallest of cells! The developer ignores the criticism & only responds to the bought & paid for praise! Another problem is the small cells! There is nothing relaxing about tying to find cells that are practically naked to the human eye! They do this to get money from people by them watching ads for help! Also, love how the developers ignore the reviews that criticize them but will respond to fake praises! UPDATE! The company they are using for the ads is a virus pusher! Needs improvementEnjoyable: When you can touch a space and color flows- it's far too rare but delightful. Some pictures are pretty and scenic even tho odd colors Could be lots better: Having more categories to choose from, being able to choose our own palette of colors, improving the picture selection and numbers of pictures to choose from but limit all the food related pictures (way too many). Annoying enough to make me consider deleting this app: Teeny tiny different colored pieces in many pictures. Also when the picture looks completed but it's not,because there are tiny missing slivers we can't see with the naked eye and it's still difficult even on full zoom, nothing zen about that. But to find it we have to watch an ad for a hint. We get ads anyway no matter what we do. So many annoying ads. Some ads are greatly inappropriate and/or have super loud volume and no way to turn it off without turning the phone's entire volume off. Don't play this late at night or you'll startle yourself and wake everyone in the house! And oh having to put up with extra of those awful ads for hints that don't even save. If you close the app or sometimes just go to another app, or answer your phone, your "saved" hints are gone. Ugh! Hate that. Hate these ads!! Not worth paying for this app to take them off, too many issues with other stuff. I greatly dislike the color by number here because of the mixed up colors on seasons, flowers, plants, birds, fish, animals, trees, etc in what is otherwise a normally colored picture. Sometimes the programmer makes other mistakes and puts the wrong colors in the wrong spots so there is inconsistency in what colors s/he chose for that particular picture.I find that in about 1/3 of the pictures I've "colored". Best PBN Out There; customer service not so good (AuDHD)When I made the decision to pay for this app, I did so joyously; this app was everything I wanted in something that would keep my hands busy while my brain worked. I was very happy to pay for this! Fast forward: Last week, the dev implemented changes that, among other things, auto-selects the first color on the board, thus highlighting/selecting all portions of the screen that have that number/color. I lost having a “blank slate” upon starting, which for me was an important part of the sensory experience of using this app, as I decide where to start, etc. There is no way to deselect a color, so some portion of my screen was always colored - sometimes large portions! - or I could turn it off/on, each picture. I’m not willing to do this much efffort for a product I PAID FOR! — that didn’t have this “feature” when I paid for it. Anyway. I reached out to the dev, asking if it were possible to undo that portion of the change. They responded that I should click this (which was clicked) and this (which was not BY CHOICE) in order to fix the issue. I clicked the second button. The issue was not corrected. I reached out again, asking if there were another option. No response. Waited a couple days, reached out AGAIN. No response. Dear developer: If your message to me was that my request was too much trouble because I should just be happy with blah blah blah … I heard it. If that wasn’t your message, that’s still what I heard. And sorry, but cannot stay where that blatant disrespect exists; even losing the rest of the time I paid for. It Froze!!! UpdateI uninstalled and installed for the second time (I really HATE the thought of losing the money I paid to have the ads removed!). My previous work and related rewards were not recovered and this didn’t surprise me. I’ve discovered that the only problem with the app now is the Daily menu; I cannot open these images because it says I don’t have internet connection. Every other picture opens without any problem, so I obviously have internet!!! PLEASE EITHER RESTORE MY APP OR REFUND MY MONEY! I would also suggest that you include an option to report this kind of problem so future issues can be addressed without the need to lose everything the user has invested in the app. GARBAGE support!!! I was really enjoying this app; I even paid to have the ads removed. But today, it froze. I couldn’t get today’s pictures to load no matter what I did, even restarting my iPad and turning the Wi-Fi off and on. All of my other apps were current and working properly. I took the drastic action of deleting the app and reinstalling. Now it says my internet isn’t connected (it clearly is!) and all of my work is gone.
