The second Escape Room experience from the exciting game series EXIT - The Game takes you back to the year 1837 to the legendary Greifenstein Castle.
The Countess herself has invited you to assist her as an expert. Neither the bumpy carriage ride through the misty woods nor the warnings of the locals can deter you. However, what is the truth behind the rumors that the Countess has not been seen for decades and that ghosts haunt the stone halls of Greifenstein?
Once you arrive at the castle, the old walls will not let you go. Only if you pass the tests of the Countess and prove yourself worthy, you can free her—and yourself—from the castle and defeat the curse.
Go in search of the castle's mistress, examine her chambers for artifacts from your predecessors, rummage through the library for clues about the von Greifenstein family, discover mysterious relics in the castle courtyard, solve tricky puzzles in the family crypt, and even think outside the castle—and the game! The ghosts will help you decipher witchcraft recipes, open folios, medallions and caskets, or decipher the strange hourglass. A great digital “Exit” game with some frustrating puzzlesHad a great time with this and the previous “Exit” game on iPhone. I found a few of the puzzles tricky and too obtuse (mostly because I’m playing on a 13 mini, although a later puzzle I would have NEVER guessed) Would recommend!.Version: 1.0
Difficult but so worth it!I spent a lot of time on this digesting the clues and finally coming to the solution. So satisfying. At the beginning it was announced clues were immersed throughout the whole software, so one must keep that in mind. I wish reviewers wouldn’t give a low score because they couldn’t solve the puzzles. Everyone just had to be thought through out of the box which made it so enjoyable. Than you developers for an A+ quality game!.Version: 1.0
A wonderful game that's unnecessarily hardI had a lot of fun playing this game but had to use all the hints. I believe that's because of language problems - the translation into English wasn't clear enough to make the objectives or the means of solving the puzzles clear. I spent more time trying to understand what was needed than I did solving the puzzles. Having said that, I thinks it's a great game and I would play another from this developer..Version: 1.0

Not intuitiveThe graphics are excellent. I would have liked more interplay with items in the various rooms. The story line is good. The problem is with the manipulation of the objects to continue the game. Without the hints I could not play the game. Many times with the hints I had to replay the manipulation to get it right. A good example of this is +90, cool -120, cool -60. What? I had to Google this and watch the walkthrough on YouTube to figure it out. Again, without the hints there really is no realistic way to do this game for me..Version: 1.0
Well done, while somewhat humblingHaving enjoyed many of the boxed “EXIT The game” games, I was pleasantly surprised to find an IOS game within the brand. It did not take long for me to become humbled while playing the game. While the puzzles vary in difficulty, the toughest ones can be very difficult. (Somehow, I stumbled past the “Skulls” puzzle, and I still don’t how I did it, I don’t think I could repeat it). Fortunately, there is a built in hint system that does not require an in-app purchase (aside: I much prefer this model as I would rather pay more upfront versus being nickled and dimed every time I get stuck in a game). The hint system is similar to the boxed games where the first hint just tells you if you have everything you need to solve the puzzle, the 2nd hint nudges you in the right direction, and the 3rd hint pretty much gives you the solution. The game flows well, the graphics are nicely rendered, and given the difficulty of some of the puzzles, you get your money’s worth in game play. I did have to resort to level 2 hints a few times, and for the most part the solutions make sense ---- however, there were one or two that I really wonder how you could be expected to arrive at the solution. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and highly recommend it with a caveat of “don’t expect a cake walk”. I’ve played the prior EXIT the game IOS game (The Curse of Ophir) which I enjoyed, but I found the Trial Of the Griffin to be the better one of the two. I just wish they could crank these games out faster..Version: 1.0
