Wonderful, single-purpose app; works wellNice job for a freebie... love the old pixelated green monitor display when it's loading! Only one quibble, and thus loses a star, which is that you're graphing mpg using an odd step function for graphing--rather than a line graph. (For those of you who wonder what I mean-- look at the mpg graph in picture... it's a series of squared off white lines.) The way this should work is how you programmed the cost graph... connecting each adjacent point with a direct line. (Addendum: I realized later that you're graphing miles on the x axis--hence, the mpg is a value for that range! OK, makes sense for it to be a step function.). It'd be great if one could also toggle off the cost display-- and if the mpg display graph started at zero. Perhaps those are in the $ app, perhaps not. (It would also be useful if there were a note field to indicate what the driving was--around town or trip to Grandma's). Yet, for what this does, it does it well! And the cost is right! ------- Oh, one other thing. The program works well for editing, data entry, with a nice big keypad-- and even up and down arrows for moving between fields. Fantastic Lite VersionThis lite app is awesome. I read the negative reviews before downloading anyway and I realize now that those reviews came from user misunderstanding. All you have to do is read the description to know exactly what you’re getting here. What’s great about this lite app is that if you strictly just wanted the features this version offered, then you wouldn’t even need to upgrade! Granted, the features you’d want if you’re looking at an app like this are in the paid version, but I have to say I respect the developer to create a completely functional app that a user can hold on to if it met all their needs. It’s also nice to get to test the app’s UX and see the UI before paying for the full version; app felt and looked great, so upgraded immediately. Great app!!Been using the lite version since 2017 when I bought my Mercedes. Logged every fill up, and it’s quick and easy to do. I love being able to see the history of my mileage, mpg, and even gas prices (can’t even remember paying under $3/gallon but I know I did and I know when!!). Simply the bestFirst: to those reviews complaining of only one vehicle — pay a few $ and upgrade to the full version. Building apps as good as this one takes a lot of time and ongoing effort. It’s great we can even get this much for free. I just have one vehicle but I expect to upgrade just to reward the developer for her/his hard work! The care and attention in this app is explained in part by its long update history - 9 years, wow! This also suggests the app will be around for a while longer and won’t leave me stranded with data acquired over many years. I won’t rave about the many features. Great for cars, needs a tweak for BoatsI love how the app works for cars, trucks, etc. But for boats, snowmobiles, etc. it needs the ability to enter BOTH hours and miles instead of having to choose and then from two report methods so you can see both how many MPG (or in the case of large powerboats GPM) and how many GPH your using. Right now it makes you choose one kind of report or the other but for many vehicles such as boats we really need to be able to see and enter both at the same time to get a true idea of our fuel usage. Right now the only way to do that is to create 2 entries for the same vehicle and setup one each way and then go all the way back to the vehicle selection screen to choose the second version and then re-enter the data again each time we fuel which is a pain, plus you can't see both overlaid at the sand time for comparison. This would bd especially useful for boats like family ski boats where sometimes you cruise for long distances without stopping, putting on many miles quickly, yet at other times your pulling kids on tubes and spend hours in a small area making lots of stops and starts burning lots of hours yet not hardly any miles..SouthernGypsyVersion: 0

Good App with few minor issuesGood application. I use it even though it handles only one car while I have two. Only problem with it that I have found is in its cost per mile calculation. It includes the original gas filling cost even though the miles driven with it cannot be determined because it was the first gas fill. Over the long term though, the value becomes insignificant. Also, I do not like the fact that it cannot email me my data. It will only export for adding it to the full version of the software. Since this is for my personal use, I do not want to spend the money for it. For a business however, I thing it would be money well spent. Limited to one vehicleThis is a good app with nice graphs. The data entry is decent, but not great. The ability to put fuel in by litres or gallons is nice, but not important to most users. DocBy far the best app in this catagory! I have tried several diffent apps and this one smashes them all put together. I will be upgrading to the full version as soon as it support OS 3.0. looking at the full version I was wondering if a point of interest addition could be added to the road trip section. As I understand it you can log in a specific trip but not places and expensives for food stops or sites seen. Maybe even could suggest places to stop at once route is entered. It does what it does very well!I was looking for a simple MPG logger... all others I found were either too fancy and was light on the MPG side, or wasn't displaying information correctly nor intuitively. This one was great! It does what it does well. ExportI like this apps because it is free but one negative is export data. The website said, " To transfer your data from Road Trip Lite, open Road Trip Lite and push the Export Data button on the Preferences page. Note: You will need to upgrade to Road Trip 1.3 before you can transfer your data (upgrades are always free). Road Trip 1.3 should be available in iTunes shortly. Great fuel tracker!This is just great! This application tracks fuel consumptions very well and displays a graph showing kilometers per liter (also miles per gallon, for those impractical folks out there). The paid version promises some other features that I don't particularly use, so I will stick to this version. Keep logging at the station and you will know historically how your car has used up the fuel. Very helpful when you have a company car too! Same info is now spread out 👎App refresh has lighter look, but has data spread out over multiple places. Now I have to swipe to see fuel prices/mpg. I used to be able to compare them against one another on the same graph. This is a bummer. The same thing happened with average/last fill info. It would be nice to have the applciation calculate the cost/mile for each entry. Works For Truckers Too!This is the first app I've found that tracks mileage to the hundredth (2 decmels.) That's how I track my mileage on my Freightliner. In my business, one tenth of a mile per gallon means about $1000 per year. I track it very closely. This app makes it a snap to track mileage. Road tripI have used it for about 10 months. i have lost my data or it has reset a few times whether the aplle iphone update or the program unsure. i do find it easy to use and am reliigious about making my entries. Stats are easily accessed and easy to understand at a glance. i don"t like that there is no way to e mail the data and stats which means no backup. I would like to see a spot in there to add other car expenses. My repair costs and possibly insurance etc would give me an overall cost of ownership at a glance. Excellent free app, must-have for driversFirst off, you can change units from gallons/litres at any time. It stores it in whatever units you enter it as. Just the tool I was looking forThanks for this great app! I have some suggestions which would make this into a 5-star app for me: -It would be nice if it could "copy over" the settings from the last fill-up (L, price/L, total cost) - to make it easier to keep tabs on my fuel costs, I've gotten into the habit of buying the same amount of gas each time. Almost but not quiteThe main problem with this app is that it assumes the odometer reading is accurate. It would be far more useful if the entry method was the distance traveled since the last fill up rather than the odometer reading.
